I don't usually go to UPS unless it's to drop off something with postage already paid for. That said, there usually aren't any lines here - there's been maybe one other person ahead of me a few times. Employees are friendly and I'm in and out in a minute. It's located in a strip mall off of Rt. 31, behind a now - defunct McDs and sandwiched between Sam's Liquor store and a burrito joint. I dropped off a package to be shipped at 10:42 am on a Saturday. Estimated pick up from U.P.S (on Saturday) that same day printed on receipt. The package was not scanned in by U.P.S on that day. So the product claim from the manufacture on my product being shipped to was delayed 2 days. SINCE WHEN DOESN'T U.P.S. PICK UP ON A SATURDAY ? I worked at a major company and we still received pick up's / deliveries on Saturday from U.P.S. UPDATE: Some how the return to manufacture didn't receive notice from U.P.S that the item was picked up/ scanned in. Now i have to wait till they receive the item on their end in order for my return to be processed. This delaying the process another 7 full days since U.P.S. does not count weekends as delivery days when item is shipped ups ground. I guess that's what happens when you write a bad review on yelp. Unfortunately, I got let go from the UPS Store in McHenry. I had been there for THREE WEEKS and was still making mistakes. I feel really badly about myself. I was also working harder than I could handle full time and asked to be changed to part time. I felt badly from the very first week due to the fact that my boss timed me on a transaction with a customer and I took SEVEN minutes instead of THREE! Well, I suppose this is the world I work in now, I'll just have to learn a new job at breakneck speed. I wonder why I wasn't given a chance to catch up, though. And why I got fired over the phone. Maybe I'm just a dinosaur in this world of instantaneous results. It seems like I got used to cover someone else's vacation time, too. But I guess this is okay if I get paid for that. You know, I've only ever had one other person dissatisfied with my work. She was a really hateful person and even she talked to me in her office, face to face, and gave me two weeks to step up to her expectations before she sacked me. This whole thing has me so sad. But maybe it's what I should bring to a therapist and not YELP. WWJD??? read more

This UPS store never disappoints. Mary and the boys, Kain, Danny and Eric, are always upbeat and very helpful. This was my first time visiting a UPS store. And it was a very pleasant experience! I don't know why, but I've been dreading making the trip in to return two separate packages. I didn't have tape to close them. I only had a return label for the one. But no worries! The young guy behind the counter, wish I had gotten his name, was so helpful!
