Something has changed in the past several months over a 3-year-period when I began going into this UPS location. The bldg is not brand new, but something is different, It looks brighter. It looks cleaner. It looks more organized. It's more efficiently run. It looks like a well run business; it is a stark contrast for the better. The team of employees is even friendlier, more professional, the lines of people going into the store move faster. The employees were not professional. An older woman was complaining about having to put stamps on some envelopes, due to some issue with her forearms. I'm not sure why she's doing that job if it causes her further problems. A younger guy was helping someone else, and was joking around with some minor who was hanging out with them. Apparently that boy was waiting around to go to the boys club, because he'd done "bad things" and was grounded. This was the conversation going on while I waited for the young guy to finally acknowledge me. Then when I asked to print something the guy said "no printers." And then he looked at the older woman, who did her best to look like she was ignoring me and him. When he asked her for confirmation, she just said, "nope." No further info. The guy told me the copiers were unavailable until the owner came in a 1pm. It was 9:45am. The guy told me to go to the library. I will not be back to this store, and I will tell everyone to avoid it at all costs. read more

I came into the store located in the Cherry Plaza Shopping Center, 104 E Fairview Ave, Meridian, ID 83642 | Phone: (208) 884-8881 and I asked for the best product to send my daughters American Express credit card to her in Georgia and I asked to send this certified so that she could sign for it and so that I could be assured what just happened today would not happen. Initially I was told to send it certified but then was told to switch that to the way in which it was delivered today would be the best outcome and that it would be delivered on the 20th. of December. A heavily destroyed and empty envelope that arrived today, and was not in any way certified or hand delivered. We have reported the credit card stolen and we are awaiting word on further information about whether the card was fraudulently used during this transaction at any point. When I came in a younger kid with a hat on backwards initially helped me and he was apparently being trained and assisted with the other person working that afternoon and she was also helping me and telling me this would be the best way to handle this. Obviously I am furious and so disappointed that this simple task could not be handled professionally and I am left with the worst possible outcome and these results were the exact results I was trying to avoid. UPDATE: Upon calling me back today I was reassured that there was no signature even though it was confirmed and requested. I simply asked for a refund since there was no contents in the package they we're responsible for sending and I paid the UPS Store, and Andrea tells me she can't refund my money now or today because she needs to open a claim with UPS EVEN THOUGH NOTHING WAS DELIVERED EXCEPT A RIPPED AND EMPTY ENVELOPE THAT LOOKED LIKE IT WENT DOWN TO MEXICO CITY AND THEN WAS SHIPPED TO GEORGIA! I had so many questions and she helped me with all the steps needed to get these forms on their way out. I messed up on two forms and she immediately reprinted and helped me. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I placed an urgent online print order for 20 color copies at 11 am. It should have been pretty simple to complete by 5:30 pm, which is when it said it would be ready. I showed up at 6:15, hoping I'd given them enough extra time to complete the job. No one could help me for over ten minutes, then they told me they had not even started the job and 45 minutes later still had not completed it. I stood there waiting until 10 minutes after their closing time and they printed them on regular paper instead of card stock which is what I ordered but I didn't have the patience to have them redo after being almost two hours late. If you value your time, go anywhere besides this place. They are incompetent, uneducated and don't value anyone's time. read more

You'd think all UPS Stores would be created equal, right?? Whelp . . . based on my recent experience that seems to not be the case. I'm assisting with an online business that will most likely have lots of future shipping needs and have been exploring my options on pricing, as well as, most importantly ease of logistics on completing my visit. I recalled this particular location as I frequent this shopping center and it was near my home so I thought let's give it a go! There were only 2 other people in the store when I entered and 2 employees working. Not bad, for being in the Holiday season. When it was my turn, I explained what my needs were and that I had a UPS account I would like to use. I was immediately told that they only took pre-printed labels or I'd have to pay there. Neither of these was an option. So I asked where the closest place was that I could actually use my UPS account #. I was told there was a UPS HUB that just opened over on Silverstone. The other employee heard the conversation and didn't provide any commentary. I was given the address and went to seek it out. 25 minutes later, I finally found the HUB and well you guessed it, it is strictly a HUB. Meaning, its where UPS drivers go to get packages not a place for people to drop off packages. I looked like a total retard walking into their office looking for a place to drop off. So . . . I thought, yah know. It just seems odd that a UPS store can't take an account #. I mean what would be the point. I looked up the info for another location on McMillian and rang them up and explained my situation. The woman who answered told me they absolutely could help me and when I told her about my experience up to that point she was flabbergasted. Not sure what the deal was, but I think I'll not risk another 15 min errand taking me 60 min again and opt for another location. read more

Honestly this isn't even for the store just UPS in general. I typically have really good service with them but this time it was awful. They didn't even provide valid information or updated info for any packages I ordered and when they did it was when they were already closed. So now I don't even get any of my items on time. It's so frustrating and I feel, unprofessional to have to deal with this. This whole issue could have been avoided had they used a more efficient source to track packages. I received all my information too late and it was pretty much pointless. I'm done dealing with their lack of communication for tracking. Definitely finding elsewhere to ship my things. read more

UPS at Fairview and Meridian Road did an exceptional job for me. DirecTV required me to return two old receivers to them after they sent me new ones. The DirecTV_AT&T computer program UPS used kept refusing the correct information for the return. Ted (the owner) calmly worked through the problems on a phone call with DirecTV while I was becoming more upset with DirecTV. Result, DirecTV didn't want the old receivers but their program told UPS and me to keep trying. Thank You Ted for your patience and grace in handling a problem that was not a good use of your time. Unfortunately this is the closest UPS store to me. The service is shameful. They are SOOOO SLOW! I was the second person in line and waited 15 minutes to just hand over an Amazon return. Thankfully another employee came out from the back to help, but he wasn't friendly, just said he would help whoever was next, scanned my item and I left. Agreed with the earlier rating. The older woman working is INCREDIBLY RUDE. For absolutely no reason she was impatient and condescending with me as I tried to simply make an Amazon return. It's unfortunate to leave a bad review as I know this location is owned by a local business owner. I understand people have bad days, but this was BEYOND unacceptable demeanor for someone in customer service. She was clearly stressed out and working by herself, but that is not a reason to treat people badly, speak down to them, and be impatient. I had 3 Amazon returns, as I tried to get her the QR code's she became very angry and agitated and wouldn't wait for me to navigate between screens to get the codes that she were already prepared. A customer came in behind me, who she began helping instead as she told me she "couldn't get in the middle of all that" -- yet helped the next customer with the EXACT same thing as they navigated through screens to get multiple codes for multiple returns. In the middle of this I left. I've used this location many times, paying for print & ship for both business and personal. read more

They charge you to print UPS labels which is already a cash grab since they get a commission per package they accept. The overkill is that it you email them a label they charge a $1 documentary service fee on top of the printing charge. It's sad that you can print UPS labels cheaper at FedEx Office cheaper than The UPS Store. So I guess that and a Dropbox is how I'll deal with UPS returns going forward. These stores are franchises so it's a willing decision from the owners. Not all UPS stores do this. read more

I've moved twice since I got my PO Box at this store, each time further away and I won't change, not because of the inconvenience of changing address etc., but because of Ted (the owner) and Andrea. I know some will find it odd to rate a UPS store but I've used many packing and shipping places over the years and the service here tops any other in Boise. They are fast, efficient, they will stay late if I ask and am running late. They call me when I have packages and they always remember me and make me feel like I'm an old friend every time I come in. You can be sure that you'll come into this store often and there will be a line and no one complains. It is worth the wait to get the service. Pricing is in line with what you'd expect at any store of this kind. They are continuing to add services regularly so whether you need shipping, materials, mail service, faxes, or a PO Box, you'll find it all here.
