Super sad and to see a mix of old AND NEW negative reviews... actually surprised there are negative reviews currently... this UPS has new owners that represent great quality customer service we should all expect from any establishment. And with our world of online consumption and commodities UPS stores are pretty imperative in our society. Of course the lines can be long for package drop offs and notary services. But if someone complains about a $2.00+ print job, it's kinda unfair. You're not only paying for the product that you obviously need, but you're paying for the convenience. IMO a ma & pa franchise spot can price as they see fit that is appropriate to the cost of living. Also this location is really good and I've never really had to wait too long. This store is run by two nice people, I want to like the business as I send packages and print random things all the time. It cost $2.00 per print here :0 which is 5x more than FedEx, I had 3 bundles of taxes printed at Staples that cost $3.20! Bottom line is I wouldn't come here for printing NEVER! The service is slow but they are again nice so it does help and you do want the ma and pa businesses to survive but I have to survive myself and always rushing around to get a package sent, sadly won't come back. read more

This place is outstanding!! 5 stars***** I brought the original box for return from amazon, there are 2 things inside, I thought I can return both in original box, but turns out I need to rerun in 2 different boxes! This UPS worker told me and I didn't know what to do. The box I brought were hugh and we were planning to go out town so we really don't want to take a big box around. Then UPS worker suggests I take one of the item out and return first. He tape the box back for me free. And print both labels and ask me to bring box next time for 2nd items. When I go to UPS at other location, they charge me $2 to tape my box. This guy is just so helpful and I am coming again if I need any more services. I went here yesterday, right before closing, with my dad and aunt. The owners were very gracious and helped us with our problem, even though we came late. The owners were very funny but also kind and considerate. There were other customers who were there at the same time as us who were giving them a very hard time. The other customers were berating the owners (who were not at fault), so my family and I tried to help mediate and understand what was happening. We helped as much as we could, but ultimately the owners were able to solve all the issues. I could not be more grateful for their help yesterday for my family, and hope that we were able to help as well. read more

I don't agree with the bad reviews here. I feel like it's understandable to go to a store that makes money from shipping packages to charge for tape. They've always been very helpful with my packages. Although there may be a wait at times, I feel like that's normal for being a ups store. I came in to drop off my return today and felt a little anxious. I am not sure my drop off item will get scan in soon. The clerk said I will process it and move on to the next person, leaving my box on the table without placing a label on it. Hopefully it won't get lost and I won't get my return $. They don't acknowledge you when you walk in, They do not give you Eye 2 Eye contact when corresponding with you, and then he threw the receipt on the counter making me pick it up. Yes, the Asian dude that works here upsets most customers because he's overworked and has an attitude problem at times. He needs to smile more. Have you ever wondered how poorly designed the inside looks? You drop off the boxes on the right narrow counter, but yet, the person weighing your packages would have to walk every single box around to the left side of the room for UPS pick up. It's pretty small and narrow in that space. If he's carrying many 50 lbs boxes around the corner, it will take up alot more time and be overwhelming. Just help them out by setting it down to the left side of the room, right after they weigh your boxes. What you get are long lines, long waits, unhappy customers, and regularly no smiles if you bump into the Asian dude at the counter. Not always, but over the years, it's a regular thing. It's not entirely his fault, but I do agree that he might not be a great fit for a customer facing retail role. Perhaps, he's better off taking a night shift behind the scenes. Parking lot is too small with barely enough vacancies for UPS customers to park. You'll just have to walk a bit further. I'll still give them three stars because the folks work nonstop here. Just know that this UPS store is very small. The UPS on Berryessa San Jose has excellent customer service. Staples in Milpitas is better for drop offs. I'm still glad that this UPS exists in Milpitas and love the location since I can catch a bite at Erik's Deli & Café next door after shipping. read more

Beware! They do not know how to take a correct passport photo. I went to this store to get a passport photo taken. Service was good but passport office rejected my application because the photo they took was not the correct size and returned my application. I returned to the store and they said my fault for not checking the picture for correct size. What the heck! They are supposed to be the experts not me. They retook the pictures and refused to pay the shipping cost to resubmit the passport. Save yourself the headache and don't come here. They have extremely poor customer service. I had my package delivered here via UPS access point. They threatened to return my package back to sender because the sender didn't indicate UPS access point on the shipping label. This is not my problem and I even showed them proper documentation that my package was shipped via UPS access point. They wanted to charge me $15 storage fee. They proceeded to lecture me about how this is their policy when I just wanted to leave with my package. They make it seem like they are doing me a favor for waiving the fee. read more

I came here for Notary services and to ship some paperwork. It was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a retail establishment. I scheduled my Notary appointment online for 2:30pm. About 30 mins later I get a call asking if I can come in later in the day, I say thats fine and schedule for 4:00pm. I show up at 3:55pm for my appointment and the Notary isn't there. The gentlemen at the desk says he will call him and then lets me know he is 10 mins away. I say great no problem I will wait. At least 15 mins go by and no Notary, so the gentlemen calls again and this time he is 7 mins away. I say ok and continue to wait. At this point there is also another lady waiting for Notary services. Another 10 mins go by and he is not there. The gentlemen calls again and this time he is at the stoplight. We continue to wait, and he shows up about 10 mins later. So keep in mind I have been waiting at least 30 mins by this point. The Notary comes in and tells us he forgot he Notary book. WHAT!? Luckily there just so happen to be a good Samaritan in line who was a Notary and offered to help me. So I get my papers notarized and then get back in line to ship them. The Gentleman who was supposed to do the Notary and who I assume is the owner helps me. He ends up shipping my packages overnight which costs $34 each! I didn't ask for that but it all happen so fast so I end up paying over $70 to ship two envelopes and get copies. I know I was ripped off and I cant believe he did that after the Notary debacle. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION! AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS! read more

This UPS was strange. I simply came in to drop off my package and get a receipt. I came inside the store and the person at the counter was on the phone. I think this store has bad reviews because before the current owners, it really was not a good place to go. The lines were long and the previous employee at the counter did not care about customer service - didn't even greet customers or ask what they needed. However I think the owners have changed since then since I haven't seen that miserable employee anymore. Now, the owners working in the store facing customers, are very kind and sweet. Every time I have gone in to return an Amazon package, the lines moved quickly if there was any, and I've been greeted kindly and assisted swiftly. They deserve 5 stars. read more

People that give it more than 1 stars are probably NOT aware that they are being SCAMMED. I honestly hate this place. I sell stuff online hence I ship out packages every week. Back then when I was new they always charged me and I paid. But it turns out the label has been prepaid for online because I then went to other UPS locations at work and they never charged me. Then I tried sending out envelopes and he tried charging me 30. Went to other UPS and they said it was less than 10. Old Indian gentleman was rude as well, threw the pen on the desk and made me pick it up. There was this other time he tried to convince me I had to pay for the prepaid label but I contacted the customer service of the online sale website and they said the label is paid for and he must not know or is lying to me.
