I frequently go into this UPS store because it's so close to my house. Yet, every time I go into this store I am dealt with horrible customer service. I REALLY did not want to write this review but when you have to deal with bad customer service constantly, it was only a matter of time. I can come in with a simple shipment and the representatives act as if they're on a pedestal the entire time. I understand that they may not like their job, but it does no good to treat the customers with disrespect. You can tell your experience is going to be awful as the monotone greeting when walking in says it all. Rosa and her fellow employees really need to step up their game. If not for UPS, for their own benefit. As a business owner, I can't even fathom hiring someone with that level of customer service skills. My business would tank instantly. Thankfully, UPS is a large established company and can risk hiring employees with mediocre customer service skills. As you go through the review section, you can see that I am clearly not the first person to write a bad review on their subpar customer service level. Sadly, I won't be the last. Wish all the employees the best, but they're going to have a rocky future unless they fix their attitudes. I'm sure they will read this and blame it on the customer (myself), and that's fine. Ok so in the past i have shipped packages through this store and the service was always good. Ok so my printer stopped working around xmas eve, I needed copes for a project I was working on, I got on line and found out that the UPS store does copies. I was stressed out when I contacted Rosa she was patient. Another employee helped me she was wonderful over the next week I made several trips to the ups store for copies. Made an online notary appointment that was important and the notary was not there. Left phone number for them to call me as I needed something notorized and the girl mentioned he would be back in a few. Never heard back from him. Had to drive to another notary quickly. Should not have online appts if you cannot commit for notary services (usually important) read more

Very poor customer service skills especially from a staff who's names begins with a S. You can hear all conversations going on in the back since they scream to one another and I had to try to get the attention of the person helping me because she disappeared twice ! Kept going to the back and then turning her back to me working on who knows what . Businesses in Monrovia are usually super professional and the staff are friendly but def not here . read more

I went to the Monrovia UPS Store to have a document notarized. The UPS notary told me that she would not notarize my document for a reason which made no sense to me. I went for a "second opinion" from another local notary public who promptly notarized my document without hesitation. Go figure. read more

The females who work there show no interest in customer service, or interest in helping you with your needs when you come into the store. Everything is done with an attitude and because they have too. Get a new job, working at this store isn't working for you. Go back to school. I have had a PO Box at this UPS for approximately five years now. I have not used my key once. Every time I walk inside, I am greeted by name and Mike or his wife or their helpful staff collect the items from my box for me. They offer wonderfully informative solutions for packing needs and copying as well as notary services which I use almost on a monthly basis. I am not certain as to the individual experiences of some of the other reviewer's but I can say this is a local franchise that works very hard to show their support of the small business community in Monrovia. read more

My daughter and I were looking for a place to enlarge a sewing pattern. There were NO local office supplienstore to accommodate us. When we found out we may be able to do what we needed at this UPS store we went in. The worked Janet was so extremely patient and helpful. She showed us how to use the machine for future and explained what it was she was doing. We were able to get exactly what we needed and the price was better than the other places. read more

And here I thought the beautiful little town of Monrovia couldn't get any better. Well folks, it did. My lawyer emailed me a document on Friday that needed to be printed, filled out, notarized and sent back to him by MONDAY AFTERNOON! My initial reaction was "yeah right, how in the heck am I going to be able to get all that done in time?" I called the UPS Store and the manager, Mike, was nothing but helpful and kind. He set me at ease instantly and told me that all of what I needed done could be handled right in the store and if need be, I could come in on Saturday and do it then too! This was super important information, as I was slammed at work on Friday and had absolutely no time during normal business hours to get this done. I went in to the store the next day (Saturday) and explained to the person at the counter what needed to be done. Lo and behold, said person was the manager who I had talked to on the phone the previous day! Again, he set me completely at ease and walked me through the entire process. I gave him a USB drive with the document on it, he printed it out, waited patiently for me to fill out the form, notarized it and gave it to his associate to get it sent out for overnight delivery. She too was super helpful and set up the delivery in a matter of minutes. The document is set to be delivered by Monday at 10:30am, AHEAD OF SCHEDULE! I was in and out of the store in about 15 minutes. I'm still in shock at how smoothly and painless the entire process was. Great store, great employees, great experience. I am only going here from now on to do anything copy/fax/scan/mail related. I should also mention that they take passport photos and they do live scans, which I didn't even know what those were until I goggle'd them just now. read more

I went there to mail out a card and they told me that due to their uncertainty how much postage it needs, their boss needs to take it to the post office the next day. That didn't make sense to me since they charge me a certain amount to mail out a card that they don't know how much it'll cost to send out. I should have listened to my gut instinct that my card might not get to it's destination. As of today, almost a week later, the card still hasn't arrived and perhaps it never will. It almost feels like my mail got tampered with. I should have gone to FED-EX. read more

This UPS store has the hardest working crew. Everyone is extra friendly and super attentive to the customers' needs. It can sometimes get quite busy there during peak times, but the staff always make sure to go out of their way to take care of your needs from shipping, packing, copying, notary services (call ahead for schedule and fees) to even having your keys made! The monthly mail box service is awesome if you hate having your packages stolen while you're at work. They are prompt and organized in handling, storing, and delivering your packages with no issues. It's amazing how such a small place can efficiently handle so many useful services. read more

What a JOKE! I have been buying/selling through eBay for almost 10 years, and this is the FIRST time I have EVER been asked what the item in my package was! AND I was also asked whether I had the original purchase receipt to go along with it! I definitely should have walked away and taken my business to USPS. Quick tip to the store: if you are all so concerned with what specifically is in my package besides the standard "is it fragile, perishable, hazardous, etc?", then convert your location to a TSA extension! The second star is for the haste service I recieved. Most likely due to being the only one there, which itself was unsurprising giving that their protocol is now news to me. read more

Do not believe all the negative reviews. I usually do Amazon returns and always have a QR code. And today when I went in, I had to print out the label. But I didn't know how to email the label to the store. The workers were able to help me out. They were super helpful. I never have a problem at this store. Our company has a corporate account with this store for their Live Scan services. I have literally been trying to get a Live Scan appointment for two and a half weeks with a different excuse from them each day as to why they can't do it. I realized it is busy during the holidays so I decided to try today again (Dec 27) thinking the holiday rush is over. Well once again I get an excuse. It's one that she used a couple of weeks ago too...her Live Scan technician is late and she has NO idea what time he will be in. SERIOUSLY!?!? How is this person still employed???? I got this excuse weeks ago as well. It's a real lame excuse. DO NOT go here if you want a timely Live Scan. We are pulling out corporate account and finding a location that actually gives great service and cares. read more

Very unprofessional and rude. I'm hoping that basic customer service training is needed as opposed to diversity training. I went in after having a package rerouted to this store for safety (as I've done before) and I will never do it again. Gave my license to the representative and was still asked to confirm my address, as if my license didn't suffice. Still looking confused, I told her that my address is the same as it is on the license and she snapped back and said it wasn't because one said apartment as opposed to unit. So, even with my license in their (her) hand and me stating the correct address, zip and apt/unit number, you are confused and questioning my authenticity by the designation of apt vs. unit? Then as she walks back to get the package, she comes back w/o the package and asks for my tracking number and I have to show her the notification I received on my UPS mobile app. As an HR professional, this behavior is truly unacceptable. read more

This company is great! We love the helpful staff and ease of access! Love being able to pull in, drop off our UPS shipments and know that they will take care of getting things wrapped and packed up - shipped out ON time and on budget! I have been here several times to drop off packages and I have never had any issues. Service is always great, as they usually tape my box when I need to, or provide me with a sleeve for my label. I love the convenience of this location, and the fact that the line is usually short. read more

Very rude service - Waited 10 minutes to be acknowledged and another 5 minutes for UPS Store employee to decide to come help customers. She was doodling around not responding to calls for help. Then, instead of helping me, she got on the phone. No eye contact. Same rude contact as this morning - same two female employees. The other was as rude. No hello, no have a nice day, or take care. Instead, she had the audacity to tell me not to put anything in the in store trash can that is for customer's use because she did not want to have to empty the trash. This store has gone WAY DOWNHILL. If this keeps up, I will not be patronizing this business and will ship with FedEx and USPS only (or other UPS stores). Seriously, I didn't need the snarky rude attitude. It's enough that the Canyon is on fire. If it were my business, it would be time to certainly retain, but better yet hire mature adults who don't act like a moody pissed off teenagers. read more

They never seem to have any of the services available to use. Life scan here is a joke. Making a big push for UPS to just shut this location down. Mike is the worst customer associate I have experienced in 42 years. If this is the quality personnel that UPS is providing now, save your time and go to FedEx or the post office. Had a package redirected to this store for pickup after UPS couldn't deliver on a Friday. Tracking showed the package could be picked up at this "access point" on Saturday after 1PM. The package wasn't there on Saturday. Later the tracking showed ready for pick up Monday but it wasn't there on Monday either. Called and called UPS and could never talk to anyone who could actually tell me where the package was. The next update to the tracking was that the UPS Store declined to accept the package and it was returned to the sender. Absolutely ridiculous that between UPS and the UPS Store in Monrovia they couldn't deliver a simple package. Also no explanation from UPS why the package was returned. Will never use this store for anything and highly NOT recommend them..... read more

AWFUL. They yelled at my son for touching the copier and made him cry, then told me I was a bad parent. On top of that they wanted to charge me $26 to mail a small package. When I questioned the rate it magically dropped to $15, still 3times what it should be. I went to the post office and mailed it for $5.75. AVIOD AT ALL COSTS THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF AND TREAT YOU POORLY!!! read more

This is my first time on YELP, but I felt that it was important that I give a compliment to a person on this store. Monica, is extremely awesome! Her professionalism, smile, customer service, and friendly demeanore is superb. I opened up a box at this location because her customer service was so awesome! From the moment that I walk in to the door, she Greets me. She ask me if I want my mail and if I recieve mail, she actually has taken the time to telephone me letting me know that I have a package waiting. In fact, I have actually forgotten I've ordered something and she telephones and I ask, are you sure, I have a package? LOL and she say's yes in her sweet and professional voice. Monica, goes above and beyond in everything that she does and I wanted someone to know how wonderful she is. I hope that if the UPS corporation is monitoring these reviews that they take notice of her hard work and recognize her for doing outstanding work. Seriously, I think that it is important that customers are greeted with professionalism and she hits the mark at every chance. In fact, I once had to get a Souevinr Booklet created for a friend and let me tell you having that booklets was truly a nightmare. The person sent the information that was not paged nor organized. I literally emailed Monica probably 25+ (maybe even 50+) emails that weren't organized at best. She NEVER COMPLAINED one time. Even if she probably wanted to she never did. She was gracious in her assisting me. She gave all my emails to the owner and he helped me and of course we all laughed at the problem that I was faced. But even in those moments, this store was so gracious in every way. To be honest, I sometimes get mail and often times I do not, but because of the cutomers services that Monica has extended to me I maintain the box. I couldn't imagine the UPS company not having an employee like Monica because her positive engergy is truly contagious. I wanted other customers to know how great she is and if you're ever in Monrovia and need assistance, ask for Monica because your experience is guaranteed to be a positive. I am just a customer that truly appreciates the notions that Customers Comes First and because I can recongize and most certainly appreciate when this is extended to customers like myself I feel the need to give a compliment to those persons because they should be recognized for the hard work that they put in. UPS thank you for having employee's like Monica because it makes experiences better for your customers and it will make customers become even more loyal even if the prices are higher. We pay for services, but we get great customer services and that is what excited me when I come the UPS Store in Monrovia. Side note: I have stood in line patiently waiting for things and MONICA literally greets EVER CUSTOMER that walks in the store. I thought I was just special (lol) but seriously she greets them with "Hello" when they walk and and "Have a great day when they leave". This woman knows these customers and that say's a lot about her customers services. She knows customers by name and that also should be recognized that whether a person is a business owner or not she greets and treats everyone the same! Sorry for such a long review, but I felt the need to at least let people know what an amazing employee works at the UPS store. I don't know if UPS as a Corporations gives promotions or opportunities for their employee's,, but if they do they should really consider extending a training opportunity in management or customer service management to this woman because she certainly deserves it. I had a super huge box to ship this past Christmas and I also had a newborn baby with me. The guys inside the store saw me struggling to wrangle the box and the baby out of the car.
