I've been using this store for years and have never had a problem and the owner and employees have always been very helpful and courteous. I don't understand why people leave such negative reviews? Do not go to this UPS store in Montebello! This location does not deserve one star. The owner, Byron, is ridiculously rude. My 89 year old mother needed notary services and he did not help her and treated her very poorly. Byron was the only one that was outrageously obnoxious. All of the female employees were fantastic. We left and got my mother's document notarized at the UPS store in San Marino. The process was so quick and easy, unlike Byron's drama. read more

If I need to send a package or a fax I usually come here because: 1. It's close to my house. 2. The price to send a fax is cheaper than Kinko's. 3. The UPS couriers are efficient and friendly. 4. And Cus it's near a 7-11! = D I'm not giving this place 5 stars because even though the two young adults are really friendly I don't like how the two older employees speak to me when I walk in. Horrible customer service. Not sure why my packages reroute here but this place need's to seriously audit their employees. Had to wait in line for 10 min when i only needed to pick up, i asked a girl if there was a separate line because clearly everyone ahead of me was shipping and going to take longer then I. She was straight and short "no, same line". While her and another associate hid in a corner behind the counter "working" I waited until I was next. Once I got to the counter the associate asked me for my I.D and tracking number, which I didn't have because I didn't think it necessary, I'm sure theres P&P around this but I had a pick up slip. Regardless she informed me my packaged had not been processed yet and Iwould have to wait an hour or so. This is very inconvenient; there should be a process in place to differentiate between pick ups, drop offs etc. This could have spared me time, and now a second trip to an unpleasant location. The service was quick and the rep was very informative-- they answered every question and they recommended, without me asking, to put my ATT cable box return receipt in a safe place (because it was Not reproducible and ATT may dispute the return). And would not notarize her papers because her drives license had expired. And he would not accept her valid driver licenses (paper) Be cause he did not know her personal. I'm only giving 1 star for this place because I can't post with zero stars. Amazon has an agreement with UPS to allow customers to drop off items for return shipping. Well, Byron Chan doesn't believe he has to adhere to his end of the agreement. Byron Chan only knows how to repeat the same thing over and over again until you get so frustrated with his lack of intelligence that you leave his store extremely frustrated. I wouldn't recommend anyone utilizing his store....unless you want your day ruined. Please drive the extra 2 miles you need to get to another store. And to top it off he's rude and arrogant. By the way he said he was the owner, so that makes it that much worse. He said he would charge me two tie my 2 rolled up large carpets that I was returning in their original packaging. Isn't the point of an Amazon return to drop off the items and he is to ship them. It's not the customer's job to know how he is going to package them, then say if the items don't end up getting returned together it's not his problem. Total idiot! The UPS Store picked up and transported a work of art from an auction, packed and shipped it in a most professional way. The artwork was under glass, and as a curator and collector, they took all of the right precautions to protect and prepare the work for transport. it was impressive that they had used the same museum quality effort and attentiveness that I would have. I would recommend their services to museums, art center, and collectors without any reservation. Communication was evident and timely during this time of COVID. Turns out the "notary" there is the owner, an Asian man. This guy is the rudest, most inconsiderate notary I have ever had. He notarized a grant deed for me for a home purchase 2 weeks ago, and he made a mistake he admitted with my last names. Escrow tells me he simply needs to edit my name. Not only does he not want to do it after showing him ID, but he says he has to add my middle name too, which would result in same issue! Came here to drop off a package and apparently the mask wearing rule went into affect again but the cashier was very rude about it I wasn't aware that it had been mandatory now and rudely said "you need to put your mask on!" I've gone to this place multiple times and never had an issue, not even with employees in person. Then two of my packages got sent to the wrong places. I called to see if there was anything that could be done and the owner who was on the phone with me said , "well weren't you looking at the guy packaging your books". That was his first response...I was not being rude just inquiring how my books could've been sent to the wrong locations. He threw the F word at me through the phone and was very unprofessional. I called back to ask for his name and he was very condescending. Reading other reviews and I am not surprised. I've never received such terrible customer service and this is my first bad review ever for anything. That is how terribly the owner handled the phone call. I would understand if this was a one time instance or that this rarely happens with customers, but the owner needs to stop blaming customers.
