Had a return to amazon. Took forever for us to figure out a size box to that would work. The girl barely made eye contact and seemed so annoyed the entire time. The cost for them to pack it was so high I asked to buy the box and pack it myself. They sold me one that was 3x bigger than I needed. I took it back and the girl seemed genuinely bugged that I was back. There sign literally says "packing professionals". read more

Seriously, $.79 for a $.49 stamp???? "We are not the Post Office" this was after I had paid for 61 letters to be mailed. I asked if there was a charge to mail the letters...."just the cost of the stamp"....well a stamp costs $.49, not a 60% markup if $.79. Every time I come in the service is quick and the staff is polite. The store is always clean and organized. My first visit here Michael was especially helpful. I had multiple textbooks I was returning and he helped me tape the shipping labels on so I could keep an eye on my young son. read more

Walked in to this store to send a package to my brother. I greeted the employee who came out from the back looking annoyed. The whole time she gave me attitude. Will not be returning to this location for any services. The girl working here (I think her name is Kassie) is rude and unprofessional. She was very sarcastic the entire time. Listed hours of operation are not reliable. We pay for a box at this location and have experienced numerous issues. We have put up with these issues because it is the closest and most convenient location to our house. With that said I think I have come to my limit. We have had multiple lost packages. We have had packages stolen from the store, in which we are still waiting on resolution from the owner and reimbursement. They have had issues with their hours and long wait times. I have been trying to pick up a package for two days the Amazon has been trying to deliver Amazon was not able to deliver yesterday because apparently the store was not open during their normal business hours today I saw it was out for delivery while I was out and done with my errands went to go check in if it was there and pick up at the store. The store was closed. Did not look like it had even been opened for the day all of the displays were fully covered and the gate fence that goes around the workstation was all the way closed and locked. That was around 11-1130. please note I did wait there for a while in case somebody was gonna come back from their lunch break, nobody came. Went back home hours later called the store to see if they were open. Phone just rang and rang and then hung up on me. Leads me to think they are still closed and they have not even open today. What is the point of paying money for a UPS store box to get your mail if they have unreliable service and unreliable hours! Very disappointed. I do want to shout out that the employees are always kind and do their best. I feel the root issue is with the owner, the training, etc. read more

In the past my visits here have been strictly due to its proximity to my home. However after visit on 1/25/21 I'd no doubt return. The new addition of employee Peter reflects how hiring people with impeccable customer service skills, a positive attitude, combined with the ability to communicate effectively with patrons, in addition to perform their job criteria can make raving fans. It didn't take but a few moments while waiting in line to see, that he was one of the few employees we see today who "wanted to be at work and cared about what he delivered. After sharing with him he had a great work attitude, I left only to return 30 minutes later to get some more copies. While there, a second time a hear another customer deliver a similar comment to him, supporting my initial appraisal. Hope they not only make it worth for him to stay, because as mentioned earlier, this place is close to home and a easy stop for me. Give him a sock in the arm. read more

I had an awful experience at this store. I wish I would have gone to my favorite UPS store. But I was there and thought I would kill two birds with one stone. Boy I wish I hadn't. First the guy was so rude. And wanted to charge me to repack my box. And of all the stuff that I have sent, it was the only box that I've had an issue with. As a mobile notary it is very important to get the executed loan documents delivered to the escrow/title/attorney or lender ASAP after signing. I can always count on Tom and Maddie to assist me by entering my package in the system and providing me with a drop receipt for tracking. The 2nd best part? They always do their job with a smile. I am so pleased with The UPS store! I had returned a $330+ purchase and accidentally packed the tracking information with the package. When I called the company where I was returning the item, they had no record of my return. My only hope was to locate the tracking number as proof of return. Otherwise, I would have been out of luck. A wonderfully helpful gal working on 01/06/2016 was able to look back through their logs, and locate the item based on a description of the date I dropped off the package, the destination it was shipped to, and the approximate weight. I have just called the company where I am returning the item and they confirmed it was in fact the correct package. I am thrilled & relieved! Thank you UPS Store for your wonderful assistance. This place gave me the worst customer service that I have ever had. Their attitude was awful and I fell like they tried to overcharge me. When shipping a small box was going to cost me $15, I asked not to ship it. Instead of notifying me that I would still be charge for the box (which seemed overpriced), she just ripped up the label and told me the total price, confusing me how it was so high. She never mentioned the price of the boxes and all these other fees that they added on. If you can go to another store. read more

I print all my labels at home and just need a close place to drop them off. Went into this place and saw the 2 girls that worked there talking to each other. I was carrying 3 large,heavy boxes. I walked up to the adjacent counter and asked if I could put the packages down there. One of the girls snapped around and said "ILL BE RIGHT WITH YOU!: and then continued talking to he co-worker. I realize I interrupted her conversation,but her reaction was quite uncalled for,and the packages were heavy. I dont really use their services (thank goodness),but a little customer service goes a long way. As most of the other reviews show,customer service is not a strong point here. read more

We shipped home one of a kind ceramic items that we just inherited. The NEW box was extremely WELL PACKED in numerous layers, away from corners, edges and each other. All four ceramic items were smashed in the heavily damaged box that was left at our door. The box was delivered looking very abused, corners were dented and the top was smashed down several inches. There were holes and a tear in the bottom of the box. UPS doesn't want to accept any responsibility and blames our packing when the box was clearly very mishandled. I was told at the Oceanside UPS store that it was insured. I also asked if the shipping price of $123.51 would be refunded if the package was damaged and I was told it would be. When I called UPS Corporate office I was told I had $200.00 insurance on the damage package. Anyone could see that the NEW box was very abused and smashed, to blame the customer is unbelievable. To refuse to pay the insurance, refund the shipping price and blame the customer is appalling and dishonest. Tip: Use a credit card that allows you to challenge and remove charges. read more

Just left from this horrible location. This is the second time my boyfriend and I have gone there to ship his bike frame, the first time we paid their ridiculous price of $65 to ship his bike 2 hours away. After walking in, the man behind the counter called to one of the two ladies sitting in the back talking, and after saying they had to come help one eventually got off her ass. She told us it was going to be $65 again, $40 to ship and $25 to pack. $25 to put a bike frame in a box, really?! We told them we could drive the frame there ourselves and it wouldn't cost us even half of that, what was her response? "Yeah, you need to do that then" in the bitchiest tone I have ever received by someone in customer service. I have always brought packages here for drop off and never had any problems, still haven't so the store is great for that. But The bad thing is that they over charge for stamps so I would not go here to purchase stamps. Luckily they were good about taking my return since I turned around right away and went back. If you need stamps, go to Walmart or another store because they are $6 less for a book of $20. This store is charging almost $.80 per stamp when they should be $.49!!! read more

We've had nothing but good experiences at this UPS Store. All the gals, especially Beverly and Jessica are extremely friendly and go out of their way to make our lives easy and they treat my kids really well too! My son needed a color flyer made for his school and we were able to email it to the store and they had all 100 printed and ready in the time it took us to drive down the hill from Calavera Hills. All done and waiting for us, Perfect! The other reviewer sounds like some bitter princess wannabe on some power trip (Reminds me of some co-workers at Tri-City Hospital . . .Hmmmm) Some postal places like this dread it when you bring your kids in and you can tell by the look on their faces like they hate anyone without a wallet. Not this place! They even have a salt water aquarium with Nemo and Dori in it for the kids! Too cute! Try getting this type of service at the post office! Not! It's like watching paint dry at our local post office. It's depressing as hell waiting in line for some lifer postal clerk to help us. My time is more valuable than the 30 cents I will save, never mind the $5 in gas you will spend driving up college to get to the stupid post office. No wonder the post office is losing billions of dollars. I've been to several postal stores in the area and the biggest difference is that the gals here get it. I don't want to be wasting my time with people who don't know what they are doing nor hate their jobs, i.e. the post office. There's a difference between shopping at some of these ghetto postal annex like places, and this ups store. This place is like the Nordstroms of shipping. You get what you pay for girls. read more

I had a mailbox here for years. Staff was good. Problem was whenever i used them to send something to a family member out of state, there was always something missing when it got to the destination. First time was sweatshirt to my daughter, second was a necklace to my mom. All other items were in the box. This year i sent my sister a wreath,a fitbit,and variety pack of wristbands. Guess what didnt show up? Yes, the Fitbit! When confronted, the manager of the store asked if they packed the box. Yes was my answer. Did i get insurance? Yes i did. Oh it was not on your receipts. Nothing i can do was their answer. I tried one last time and i packaged my own box a "special way" to myself to NC For a trip i was making. The box was opened and retaped with only two small pieces. Two yoga pants a a very expensive bottle of Tequila was missing. Unbelievable!!! I have given them several chances and im telling everyone about them. DON'T GO THERE!!! read more

This review is based on their customer service and notary services. I'm telling you now, If you need something notarized, go to the Postal Annex up the street (at the intersection of College & Oceanside Blvd). They're much nicer and more professional. So I had to get some documents notarized for a background check with my employer. The first time I went to UPS they said they couldn't sign the release form itself because of the "wording." So they attached a jurat instead (no problem with that until I later found out they didn't have to do that). Later, I go back a second time to get another release form notarized with my maiden name on it instead. This is when the problem begins. The guy wouldn't notarize the form because he said he wanted to see a current picture ID with my maiden name and signature. Now, mind you, how am I supposed to have this imaginary ID when my name has legally changed? I'm not, because if I have a new name, any ID with my old name would be invalid (and would go against the purpose of picture ID's anyway). I then pointed out to the guy that my maiden name IS on all my ID's (driver's license, DOD card, credit cards) because it's my middle name now. But no, this was not insufficient for him. This guy could easily see that my maiden name was truly my old name by just using his own reasoning and realizing that no one can have current ID's with old names no longer used on it. But of course, he wouldn't, and thus, ruined my customer experienced. I told him that he was making this harder than it needed to be, to which he argued, "No, the state of California is." Keeping that remark in mind, I went to the Postal Annex up the street and experience NONE of the above problems. First, they signed the release form itself (no "wording" issues and no jurat). Second (and most importantly) they accepted my current DL because she could see that my maiden name on it as my current middle name. Voila! No frustration, no rudeness, only pure satisfaction from getting my notary needs met. So save yourself the time and energy by going to Postal Annex. read more

THIS PLACE DOES NO DESERVE ANY STARS!!! I CANNOT BELIEVE I WAS CHARGED $1 JUST TO USE A SMALL PIECE OF TAPE. I had to sent a item back to the manufacture, but I forgot to tape the box. I only needed about 5 inches of tape. I politely asked the young lady who was working there and she said "It would be $1." I thought she was kidding but she was not... The lady was actually being serious, and would not even look at me in the eye. I gave her the dollar bill and she did not even put it in the cash drawer.. I am curious to know what she did with that dollar bill? I swear this places are getting crazier!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!!! I WILL NOT BE GOING TO THIS PLACE ANY TIME SOON. What a scam! I got charged for any and every little thing possible this last time I went. Not to mention, their "laid back" attitude is very unprofessional which comes off as very unreliable, especially when your trying to conduct business transactions and it is not taken seriously. I've been there to ship off next day documents and would leave feeling a bit unsure. Also, I've looked into it and their shipping prices are always higher than the other ups stores right down the street. Hmmm..... How is that right? When they are all supposed to be the same. Will NOT be doing anymore business there. This is a DISHONEST business and should be audited! read more

I called this store from work to confirm someone was available to notarize my documents. I was told that the notary would be there until 5pm. I left work early and rushed to this location. When I walked in, the phone was ringing. A woman who was located in the back answered the phone while a nice young man greeted me at the counter. He said it would just be a moment and then he disappeared to the back . I assume he was giving his co-worker a sign to inform her that someone was at the counter waiting. Well, he returned to the counter and she continued talking on the phone. She was talking loud so I was able to determine it was a personal phone call. I waited for another 10 minutes. The guy looked at me in embarrassment since we both knew what was going on. I would have walked out if I had a back-up notary already lined up. I was under a tight deadline and had to take the documents over to FedEx for their pickup since I was using a prepaid envelope. Needless to say, the woman finally ended her phone conversation and appeared at the desk. It was shameful. She had a slight smirk on her face so I assume she thought she was being slick. The complete disregard for customer service was disgusting. Unfortunately, I won't be going back to that location. read more
