I showed up with shredding and a coupon from the ups store website. Person didn't know how to enter it so she asked the manager (fine). Manager said they weren't participating. What? The coupon is from the website, the website doesn't specify what stores are "participating" so...I'm just supposed to show up at different ups stores and hope they take the coupon? That doesn't make a lot of sense. I spoke to the manager. He wouldn't honor the coupon nor could he tell me which store would honor it. With 21lbs of shredding and at the crazy price of $1.25/lb, I was counting on that 50% off coupon. Too bad I couldn't count on that UPS store/manager to make things right. Disappointing and poor business practice. I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

I recently asked the UPS employees if they could print a PDF document from my phone and they were totally unhelpful. I was told that they could not access the internet or email because the manager works from home and uses the internet connection all day. What???? There was zero effort to help find a workaround or any other solution. I went to Staples instead and it took about 2 seconds to get the flyer from my phone to their printer. Oh and Staples printed me 20 copies for free and wished me good luck in finding my lost cat. read more

I've come here for years and I've gotta say, the staff at this particular UPS store have got it going on! They always greet each customer with a smile and a happy attitude. I've used them for shipping, photocopying (back in the old days when our printers didn't do that), passport photos and even for their notary services. Today unfortunately, I had to use them again to notarize a fraudulent check affidavit from someone forging a check from my bank account. It was a lovely Christmas gift. Anyway, the UPS folks were sympathetic and crazy helpful and only charge $10 for a notarized signature. Thank you UPS people for making my life easier! read more

The women at this store are flat out difficult, go out of their way NOT to help me each time I've attempted to use this branch. Today I came in with small to medium size box a prepaid label, and a small book to mail. Customer service rep kept trying to sell me smaller size boxes or envelopes, after refusing to purchase any of her supplies, she informed me she would charge me $5.00 to tape my box. I have attempted to mail something here before, during my first visit, I used their tape gun to tape a much larger box. They are fucking assholes here! read more

I twice drove 6 miles to this particular UPS Store, based upon earlier reviews - and I was not disappointed! This team made schlepping boxes a thousand times easier, and dare I say even fun? Muiruri, the gentleman who assisted me both times, made a difficult task seem simple and effortless. His kindness, professionalism and attention to detail exemplifies the meaning of customer service. There were three staff members in the store helping a never-ending, socially distanced, line of customers. While I was being served, I was also able to observe Debbie train a new employee and at the same time quickly and efficiently help others in line, who had a variety of needs. Every time we need to ship something, we go to the Placerville or Orangevale UPS stores. We get good service from both, but the ladies that work at the Orangevale UPS are special, so they deserve mention. There was one visit a few months ago that really stands out for us. We needed to ship something overseas. The UPS price was really, really high, which of course is the fault of UPS. These ladies actually recommend U.S. Postal which saved us quite a lot of money. How great is that? Another visit which happened to be right after they closed was another excellent experience. It was just a couple of minutes after closing. The lights were turned off. We caught a glimpse of a UPS employee in the back, so we knocked. The lady came up, we explained our urgent situation and this very, very, nice lady opened the door, turned on the light and assisted us with our shipment. It should also be noted that these ladies are always happy EVERY time we come in. It's great experiences like these that will always keep us coming back to Orangevale UPS. NOTE: This store deserves 5 stars, but get 4 ONLY because of corporate UPS pricing. read more

The employees who help me daily are fantastic. The leadership leaves much to be desired. I sought out their services to prevent porch pirates from taking packages. Unfortunately the UPS store has lost my packages and the manager Pam has failed to return any the 4 messages requesting assistance. I'm floored that the approach to solve this issue is to ignore the problem! You signed for packages that you have misplaced, distributed to the wrong person, or lost during construction, but you won't pick up the phone to respond to the owner of these missing items???? Better business bureau has been notified. Local news and my attorney will be the next calls made. Accountability is everything and your failure to acknowledge me or my missing items is terrible. read more

Just experienced the worst possible frustration with UPS and the access point at 8863 Greenback. Somehow my package was directed to the access point without my knowledge and I was charged $5 for the pickup when the package could have just as easily been delivered to my home as is the case several times a month for different orders. When I called UPS to dispute the charge I was informed that the matter had to be handled by the access point, so I'm out of luck. When I reviewed the UPS website for information regarding the charge, I found the mention of pickup fees hidden deep in the bowels of the site, it appears there was no intent to be forthright. It would seem this scam is a way to generate revenue for the franchisees, $5 is a bit much for them to hand over a package. In retrospect the better option would have been to leave it and allow it to be returned to the vendor and the charges reversed. read more

the staff at this UPS Store are amazing. They go above and beyond for you. I use theUPS Stores to send my daughter who is away at college in another state, a care package every 3-4 weeks. These ladies make it easy for me to walk in there with all my goodies, they pick out the perfect box so Im not charged extra for a larger box that I dont need, they let me package up my own box, which I really like, and they help me so I dont crush things in it. They are professional, very friendly and go out of their way to make it enjoyable and get you in and out quickly. I have been to this UPS Store a few times now and every time I have a great experience, including today. read more

I usually go to The UPS Store in Gold River and the one in Rancho Cordova. I've always been able to email my prepaid shipping label to the email address they have posted by the cash register and they print it for me for $1.00. I have been doing this for years and I'm in and out in a minute or two. Today I made the mistake of going to the Orangevale location since I was in the area. When I walked in I asked the woman working what their email address is that I can send my label to. She told me I had to print it out myself on their computer. I informed her that I have never had to do that at other locations and that I was in a bit of a hurry. She then asked another employee if I could email it to them and she said yes. I emailed the shipping label to them to be printed and the woman helped me just walked away and started helping someone who came in after me with a notary (which clearly takes a lot longer than it would be for her to grab my label from the printer, especially knowing I was in a hurry). She completely ignored me and never let me know she would be right with me. After standing there for over 5 minutes waiting and being ignored the other employee (who must have seen how irritated I was) grabbed my label and started to ring me up. The total was $3.50 which is absolutely ridiculous considering newer, nicer locations with friendlier employees only charge $1.00. I will never be back to this location and frankly, I'm surprised they are still in business!!! read more

I was delighted with this business and was made to feel very welcome by the friendly and professional notary that helped me. I'll go back to this UPS Store for shipping and notary services from now on. Also their selection of humorous greeting cards is delightful and doing card shopping worth the trip in itself. I understand Holidays are busy but when your package is delivered to a UPS access point ( does no one try to make second attempts anymore) and when you go to pick up your package,and the answer is It cant be found. That is a huge disservice and a major problem. I placed a refund with the shipper so hopefully that goes through since it was a gift and I had to get something else last minute for not such a great deal. but I was hoping the package would of turned up by now so they can return it to the shipper. Of course I get a voice mail from UPS when I call them back they tell me a investigation has been placed but they didnt find the package and it is up to me and the store to resolve. Thanks for wasting more of my time UPS and no real answers or resolution. The merchant will end up having to resolve and I know not to order anything I NEED by a deadline. That is also a operational flaw, After one attempt. I should be offered options or be able to sign for them to leave it at the door. I always found it annoying when my packages would end up at the Mail House in Fair Oaks but they have never lost or couldn't find my package. 1st time my package goes to UPS access point and 1st time I ever been told "we cant find it". I will be addressing my concerns not only to regional customer service for the BS answer of it is between me and the store to resolve. Lets be honest. It is between me and the Merchant to work out this burden. Also the office of the chairman of investors should know these concerns as their operations make no sense and seem to waste a lot of time. read more

I was watching TV and saw an ad for "humanity" in an ad for a different company and realized I'd witness it here. One of the clerks was waiting on a shopper that couldn't read. It was evident that he'd come here before for the same reason. This lady spent time helping him complete a for for one of his kids so the child could get into a special school. Yes there was a wait but her action was heart warming and this man did it himself with her coaching. She must have been a teacher because of the patience. read more

Great service, but the rates for packaging and shipping are outrageous. Cardboard boxes costing $10 and more. Insane! I throw these away all the time. So why did I have them pack it? Because they damaged a thousand dollar shipment a few months ago and did not want to pay of the insurance because they didn't pack it. So I had them pack it this time and it cost a lot more than it should. Over $200 to ship. There must be a better way to ship fragile items. UPS is a fail. Although the people at this store are very nice and did a great job, the rates are crazy. Blame UPS and the owner? Yes indeed. read more
