I went into the store after having numerous calls dropped when calling their 1-800 number. After Explaining to Alex that we had missed our delivery and needed our package before the end of the night, he went above and beyond and helped us get our package delivered! The service at this UPS Store is awful. The absolute worst service of any business I have experienced. Every time I try to ship something, I am refused because I supposedly either used the wrong type of tape, the box is too big, the box is too small, the label is attached 3mm off center, or some other BS reason. The lady running this place is stuck up, prejudiced, racist, and downright rude, and she will do whatever it takes to ruin your day. Funny thing... every time this Palmdale location has refused to accept my package, I have driven over to Lancaster and the Lancaster location has accepted the SAME package WITHOUT any changes and WITHOUT any arguments. So if my packages are somehow always in violation of UPS company policy, then why is it that the Lancaster location always willingly accepts them with a smile? Perhaps because the Lancaster location cares about the CUSTOMER. I don't know why I gave the Palmdale UPS Store so many second chances. They have disappointed me and riled me up time after time. I will never return here, and this time I mean it. If you don't want to be treated like a worthless piece of ****, then please take my advice and travel the extra distance to Lancaster for all your UPS needs. read more

I walk in today to mail a package and the foreign lady at the counter starts giving me an attitude about me not having my box closed and about the type of tape i used on the label ( i meant to do it in there) Obviously if I knew not to use that type of tape I wouldn't of used it. She was just so rude. If u don't like working with people maybe you should find yourself some other type of job where you don't have to deal with people. They get one star because I can't give "Zero". Awful, don't waste your time. Patrick, the owner or manager, is rude and unhelpful. One particular employee of Asian descent is unbelievably rude and has very poor communication skills. I have had a mailbox at another UPS Store for about 6 years, and I've never experienced poor customer service like you'll see at this store. Another thing, your mailing address will be really strange- it will be something like "...unit 200, box number xx". For those of us who prefer a more discreet "street, unit #" mailing address, this store is Not for you. Many businesses will not knowingly ship to a Post Office Box, so buyer beware. I've never had an issue with my other mailing address at UPS stores. In summary, there are other options available in Palmdale and I highly suggest you avoid this particular store. read more

This location failed me twice I work for a company that requires that I use their UPS account number to send documents to them and to ship items to my customers. Two weeks ago I shipped a package of literature to meet me in Spokane WA by 2nd Day air. It did not arrive until the afternoon of the 3rd day. The reason? They didn't ship until the following day even though they said it would ship the same day. I did not contact them because I thought there may have been a problem in transit. This time I went there ship a package to my headquarters. They told me that they don't ship using corporate accounts and refused to help me! This despite the fact that they had already done it 2 weeks ago. I contacted UPS and they told me that if it is a "the ups store" location that they had to ship it using the account number. These people lied flat out. I'm not surprised that they only have 2 stars. read more

You know after I read some of the reviews, I had asked myself if the review I was about to give was going to fair. After thinking about it and visiting this location today, I decided it was. I have visited this store on more than a few occasions. I have never had an issue and the young female clerk is always helpful and polite. Sometimes when reading reviews make sure they aren't glowing or overly biased. Additionally, I don't believe an employee's appearance has anything to do with service (in regards to someone commenting on an employee's appearance). This is where I will always be dropping off my rental text books when I return them because I value the prompt, polite service I receive. The weekends are much busier, but that's because the weekend is when people usually have time to run errands. However, I do believe this location may be understaffed during weekends and may need at least another employee or two to keep things running more smoothly. read more

do not use ups. lost my christmas gifts. idiot driver left the box in public walkway. i have filed a claim and called in excess of 70 times back n forth between the ups store on tierra in palmdale and ups customer service. have been transferred around and lied to about the status. was given 9 different numbers to call and no one helps or cares. i filed a complaint with the bbb. ups does not respond. now filing a complaint with the attorney generals office and then going to court. worst company in the world for residential business. as of today, still no money paid to me!!! read more

This store is run by Pat and Patty Powers. They are professional and friendly. Patty always give the impression that she values every single customer. Pat is professional and gives you confidence that you are not sending your package into the void. They have way too often corrected addressing mistakes that I've made, to the point that I believe them easily above the address that i was given. The old crotchety man "Patrick " is as snarky as you'll find. He demonstrates exactly "grumpy old man "to a T. I brought in an item to be shipped, he wanted to take it apart so it would fit in the smallest box. Subsequently, he broke the item and after the Repair shop sent it back, I was told that the clip that holds it together was broken off. Good going stone fingers. If everyone tells you it's raining, it's time to check for moisture. If you think you'll go there because it's more convenient, just stay on the 14 fwy and go to another one. Normally we have our packages held for pick-up at the local hub out in East Lancaster for years. Never had an issue. So I figured I'd try this local UPS Store close to our house. I wasn't expecting anything bad considering I'll only be picking up a package. Simple enough me thinks. I've dealt with this store before once and the service was mediocre at best. Fast forward to last Tuesday when my package arrived. I walk in there at about 3 in the afternoon and there was 4 people ahead of me. Only one guy (Josh) was really helping out customers. His partner is that idiot Asian lady; good Lord is she worthless. I stood there almost 20 minutes waiting to get helped. Meanwhile, she had been trying to fax something for a couple of people who were ahead of me the entire time I was there. She about as smart as a bucket of rocks. Not only was her multiple attempts to fax a fail, but she kept bugging Josh about why she could not fax anything. Are you kidding me, a damn Chia Pet got more IQ than this lady. I got stupider watching her piss-poor attempts; unbelievable... I felt bad for Josh, he looked overwhelmed and kinda pissed too from being bothered while trying to do his job. I though for a moment he was gonna slap her silly. He sure had that look in his face. So finally it is my turn and got my package...no signature on the PDA like I normally do, they just gave me my package. So far I've received 3 emails from UPS reminding me to pick up my package or it'll get sent back. LOL @ this place...don't waste your time. read more

Went in to ship a package using a UPS account number and shockingly enough at a UPS store they don't accept account numbers. You have to pay out of pocket and can't use any discounts you have with your account number which means they want to over charge their customers. I will not pay higher cost when my business is setup with a UPS account. Must be nice to turn away customers in this economy. read more

Since covid-19 lockdown I have been doing most of my shopping online. Ricardo is the person who delivers the majority of my items. He is such a professional and friendly person. Ricardo knocks on my door and sometimes waits a little to give me a chance to get to the door. He is very patient and forgiving when I take a little longer to answer the door knock. When I finally open the door, there he is smiling, holding my package and at times the package can be pretty heavy. Most delivery guys leave the package on the front porch, ring the door bell and dash before I can open the door. I just had to ask my delivery man his name so that I can write a review about his exceptional service. I can tell he is a naturally good nature guy and fits his job description of working with people perfectly. I realize the huge responsibility of handling peoples packages and even going to all these peoples homes not knowing who will answer the door could be challenging. I am confident that my packages are safe with Recardo and I absolutely appreciate his going the extra mile to create an enjoyable interaction between customer and employee. Went here despite my previous review which was over 3 years ago. I had to drop off a return and since this was the closest UPS store from where I was driving from, decided to swing by and drop off my envelope. I had asked for a UPS envelope to put my returns in and was asked if this was UPS ground shipping. I told her it was and she told me that UPS does not provide a shipping envelope for ground shipping. Ok so she told me that she can charge me $1 for taping my used envelope. I was in shock that they charge a $1 for tape. I paid the $1 because I did not want to come back. For sure that's the last $1 you will get from me. If I ever come back I will buy a $1 tape from the .99 cents store and tape it myself and keep the tape. I went here on 12/20 to ship a package to be received in time for Christmas. The man who helped me offered me two options- one for $12 in which the package would be received after Christmas, and one for $32 in which the package would be delivered to my family by 12/23. Although nearly triple the price, I chose the quicker option so that my family could receive their gifts in time. There was no mention of this service not being guaranteed or the delivery date being an estimate. Come Christmas day, I spoke with my family and they said they hadn't received my package!! I was so upset. I tracked this package on the UPS website and it said the delivery date had been updated to end of day 12/27. I called the 800# and customer service told me the reason for the delay is that the UPS store where I shipped it, sent it out past the deadline that day. They said I could go in there and they most likely would give me a refund. Well, forget that! I just went there today and spoke with the woman behind the counter and she told me "3 day select" service is not guaranteed, and they don't give refunds on that service. Really? Well if you look on the UPS website it says it IS guaranteed by the end of the third business day. I also told her that the 800# told me that this store shipped my package out too late and she denied it. Then, the guy who had shipped the package for me waltzed into the room and so I told him what had happened. He also said it's not guaranteed. I said, "Well you never told me that. I would have just paid the $12 instead of $32 had I known it wouldn't get there by Christmas". No sorry, no attempt to rectify the situation, no compassion, nothing. Both of these workers couldn't care less. I told them I'm very disappointed and they've lost my business. If they would have looked at my account they would have seen that we've spent hundreds on shipping at our previous UPS store before we moved to this area, so this is definitely a loss for them. No concern whatsoever. I will never go back there again. read more

Line is sometimes short, sometimes long, depending on time of days- as with all businesses in the right location. Service clerks know many of their customers by name and are knowledgable. I went for LiveScan Fingerprinting. I walked in and a young heavyset Hispanic girl with glasses was at the front desk and immediately offered assistance and politely asked what I needed help with. I told her and her response was, "Oh, our machine is down...You will have to come back later". (Note - "later"). I wanted to pinpoint what "later" meant, so I asked, "Well, how long has it been down?" She answered, "Ppplll...like, FOREVVVER!" I then asked her if there was any other places nearby and she answered "I.....(shrug)wouldn't have a clue..." Then, I added, trying to clarify, "Well, is there a close place you would recommend?" She got kind of pissed off and snotty and snapped, "How would I know? Why don't you just look it up on your phone???" ....(Not "Why don't you try our other UPS store" or "Let me call my other UPS store and see if their machine is up and running"...) I was furious and this snotty girl was the start to a bad afternoon...just ruined my good mood. So, I called Pat, the Manager up from my car. He kept saying "Um, Okay" and "Um Okay"...never really apologized or showed any empathy towards my situation....and I told him I will NEVER recommend this place and told him I will not be back. There are many choices up here in this valley for shipping and related services. I do NOT recommend this facility. Read the other posts on this business. The Managers obviously are not actively pursuing good candidates or training them in Customer Service skills.
