I went into this store to ship a package. What I believe was the owner didn't say a word to me. After inputting the package information on the computer, he just handed me the receipt and glared at me. Not friendly nor customer oriented. My review for this UPS store is long overdue. I needed to return a dresser that UPS delivered and (which I saw) DROPPED it out of the truck. Obviously it broke. But I am not going to put the blame of that on this UPS store. My one star review was for their lack of service and professionalism. I had to borrow a truck so that I can drop this dresser off. (The dresser was not put together. So it's still in it's original packaging.) The man and lady standing in there saw me struggling to get this 129 pound box on top of the dolly and wheel it into the store. Mind you... I am only 108 pounds. Once inside, the lady asked, "Do you need to ship that?" I told her it was prepaid and I just needed to drop it off. The man says, "We don't have room for that." And I'm standing there like... "Umm, yes you do." He goes and says, "You can go drop it off at Staples. UPS pickup is coming by at 5." I thought... wtf? It's 4:45 and in 15 mins, pickup is coming by anyways. So I asked, "Why didn't you say something when you saw me taking it off the truck? Obviously you knew I was coming in cause I parked right in front." Nothing. I just told them that they were ridiculous and left. Keep in mind... I then had to carry this thing back onto the dolly and back onto the truck MYSELF. They didn't even offer to help. The owner of this franchised location has repeatedly shown to be short, crass, and rude to the best of his ability. He justifies this by suggesting that "business is good" with a smirk. The only reason people use this location is because it is the closest Pasadena location for residents of neighboring eastern cities. read more

Seems like alot of people on here are complaining about basic charges you would get at MOST stores, or complaining about not letting bicycles inside the store Most small businesses wont let you bring in your bike, im pretty sure thats why bicycle locks exist. As far I can see they are usually very helpful and secure about sending packages. And for the few reviews on here about missing packages, i understand that it can be frustrating but the packages switch hands a bunch of times before the package reaches its final destination from the store it goes to the driver then from the driver to the warehouse which has hundreds of workers and then from there the package is given to at least 2 more drivers. So to blame the store for the missing packages seems to be an easy target for most people. Anyways the workers are very friendly and the owner was very pleasant in assisting me. Would definitely trust them with my business again! read more

NOT Allowed to send USPS Packages from this store. I have a mailbox at a different UPS store where they always allow me to send my USPS packages. However, this morning I decided to go here to drop my packages off because its closer to my work. The owner says this store is for UPS packages only. read more

I would give 0 stars if i could. I had 2 trips to this UPS this week. I had to send something out of the country but had no idea how to fill out the form as it was my first time doing something like that. I asked a worker there for assistance and he just gave me a form and I was off to the side to fill it out. When I thought I was done, that worker was busy with another customer, so the owner, PN I'm assuming from the other posts here, had to assist me. He slowly turned off his drama show on the computer in the back and came to assist me. I was told I filled it out wrong and I didn't have sufficient information to fill out the form. When I was confused I asked him questions only to find that he wanted to go back to his drama. He was short with his answers, loud and stubborn to answer any questions I had. I took the form and I told him I'll bring it back another time after I study it a little. I came back to the ups store 2 days later confident that I had all the information that I needed to fill out the form. I found that the method I was going to ship the package was not going to work because I was going to work with a third party account. (confusing I know). While he did answer and point me in the right direction of what to do to make sure the package leaves the country and is delivered, he did it in such a crude, rude, short, belittling, angry way. I was seeing a pattern with this man. I had to ask, "why are you angry right now?" With loud non-sensible blurts coming out of his mouth, he asked what race I was. I was dumbfounded how that makes any difference to understanding how to get this package shipped. He then assumed that I was of _____ race and began blurting how quickly angry the people of _____ race get. I was shocked and angry now. He then addressed me as the ______ KID, as he lectured me on how long he's been working there and how I don't know anything and he knows everything. While that statement is true, he did not want to share any of his answers to the curious honest questions I had about shipping a package. Never again. PN is the worst out there. read more

I cannot express to you how frustrated I am with this UPS store and in particular Ping. I have been a customer for several years. The service has generally been okay. But as of late there have been more and more issues. I receive a lot of packages, hence the need for a UPS place to receive them. Most days I can get in to pick up my boxes right away, but sometimes, as I run a business, thats just not possible. I was told they have a box where they can put small to medium sized packages to be picked up later. That seemed to work, until I asked one day for them to put it in the box, and then by chance was able to pick it up early. The owner got upset, asking my why i asked to put in the box, if I intended to pick it up early. I did not realize that was a problem, you would think he would be glad I made it in. Now they tell me when they call about a package, I have to wait until 5:00 to ask them to put it in the box, like some kind of punishment for picking up early in the past. Then for about the 5th time now, they forget to put it in the box, even when I call and ask the to as instructed. Now I have to make an extra trip to pick up my package in the morning. Not sure if the employees have changed or not, but its really the attitude of the owner that is a problem. I have always done my best to pick items up on time and pay my bill yearly in advance. It seems my business is not appreciated, so it may be time to look elsewhere. read more

Quick notary service. The owner is quick and able to review documents to notarize. Was glad didn't have to explain what needed to be notarized like a few other locations I went into. The charge is $10.00 per signature. So no price gauging. Recommend for notary service. read more

I normally do all my business with another UPS Store, however, a friend recommended I go to this particular UPS store to ship a package and I'm so glad I did! The service was exceptional! The owner packaged my large, fragile piece of furniture with skillful expertise. It didn't surprise me to learn that he is an engineer. I have full confidence that my package will arrive in perfect condition. Plus, the estimate he quoted was actually less than the actual shipping & packing cost, which was significantly less than other UPS stores. If I could give this UPS Store zero stars I would. I was dropping off a UPS return, it was a large package. As I was walking into the store the man behind the counter started waving his hands and saying the package was to large to drop off. I could barely understand what he was saying. Even though he had ample room for the package he would not take it and was acting very aggressive. Save time and drive two more minutes to the Staples located on Rosemead. The customer service is SO BAD in this place that I am going to report them to UPS. Unlike the one review regarding golf clubs, the man is EXTREMELY rude. Did not even offer to help me with the large package. Don't shop here!! read more

I've used their notary and drop-off services about 10 times in the past two years and they've been slow as other reviewers have noted but eventually got things done. Today I dropped off a package that I hadn't taped beforehand and they charged $1 just for the 12 inches of tape required. Seriously? That's just irritating. They know they can weasel that one dollar out of you and just can't resist the opportunity. read more

Made the mistake by having a package delivered there for pick up. Was notified via email that my package had been picked up by me. Had no idea what was going on since I had been sick and didn't pick anything up. Called the store to find out what was going on and a guy named Daniel answered and said he had given my package to someone else with the same first name (completely different last name. Btw, my last name is pretty unique). But she had brought it back and I could go pick it up. When I stated to him how I felt giving my package to someone else, especially because they are supposed to be checking identification, he said "yeah, yeah". I asked to speak to the manager so put the owner on. Pi-ning Cheung is the owner. He was extremely rude on the phone, didn't let me talk. Kept saying that my package was there. So when i got to the location to pick my package I said my name and he said "oh hi. How's it going?" Like we were friends. Like we hadn't just spoken on the phone 3 minutes prior to me walking in. I asked who Daniel was and he was standing at the register. So I reminded him the importance of checking id's and names in packages (especially because I was supposed to face three more shipped there on Monday) and he said "whatever, you got your package still". I couldn't believe my ears. I also couldn't believe that he said that in front of the owner and the owner did nothing about it. Nice way to do business. Now I see why your reviews are so low also. If you can avoid this place, do yourself a favor and do so at all costs. I am now having the rest of my packages shipped to a different pick up location to assure they are there when I get there. I will also be contacting UPS corporate to file a complaint against this location. It's a shame UPS has people like this represent them. read more
