I visited this store to solve a simple problem. I needed to preprint and pay for return shipping of a small parcel to and from Seattle. By the way, I discovered that is easy to do through our fine US Postal Service! You generate a ship-out mailing label on line you can print at home and attach to an express mail envelope. On the same system, you can generate a return label. Your returnee can print it, or you and print it and send it to them. All includes tracking at a very reasonable price! The staff member did not understand my question and gained my personal information into their system for nothing. One would presume their computers can't answer a question without personal information. I had to walk out for poor and uninformed customer service. I am very patient, it takes a lot for me to give up on a business and walk out. The store has shredding at 2x the normal price per pound and a small selection of shipping envelopes. read more

I observed staff there deal gracefully with a difficult customer who was neurocognitively confused, uninformed, yet demanding. The customer clearly needed help w much more than sending a package or two. Dorothy was exceptionally patient in trying to help out, and showed sincere concern. She demonstrated the kind of sincere human interaction we should all want from each other. I didn't mind the extra wait to drop off my package to watch the interaction. read more

Dorothy and her coworkers ALWAYS take great care of me. I live in the neighborhood and have had to utilize the services of printing, scanning, and emailing back my documents, and she ALWAYS does the three things that matter: engages well, gives a great experience, and shows value. She knows how to do everything and seems really good at multitasking and getting me top-notch service, plus I never have to be in the store for any length of time. I had an envelope I wanted ot send out, and asked the store manager how long it would take. She shrugs and says, "I don't know." She triies to sell me on priority which was around 20 bucks, and completely unnecessary I asked her about First Class and it seems she's pretending not to understand what I'm talking about, staring blankly. First Class, of course, is by stamp. I request to send by stamp, and take her tracking offer because the package was important. It would take 2-4 days and cost 9 bucks. On the tracking label of my envelope, it said First Class. So, she does know what First Class is and just wanted to up-sell me on something unnecessary. read more

I come here almost weekly and the owner and staff are always working so hard. I've watched them deal with all sorts of crazy and rude customers with patience and understanding. Of course the people who have a good experience rarely leave a review, only the A-holes. The folks who work here deserve 5 stars, not to mention kindness and respect. read more

I'm finding I'm certainly not the only one completely unimpressed with this location! I don't currently have a printer (for an Amazon return) and when this has happened before in other UPS stores they gladly printed a label for me. This one would not. Ok. Policy. I get it. I had to ask if I could print it there and the 2 ladies working just pointed to the computer. I told them I haven't done this before and asked how to get started. The response? "I don't know". So you work here, but you don't know this process? They were so rude and aloof I thought maybe there was a hidden camera and that I was on some kind of prank show. I was the only person in the store so it's not as if they were even busy with other customers. I'll be driving a little further to a different UPS store in the future, and skip this neighborhood gem. read more

There is very little service provided at this location. This is the closest location for Amazon returns, I'd rather drive out of my way to the Kohl's store. There is no Wi-Fi available so their recommendation was for me to go home and print out my QR code. Isn't that the purpose of a QR code. To make returns more efficient and so I don't have to print out a piece of paper. Unapologetic for their lack of service. read more

Woah - came on here to write a review and could not believe how many bad reviews there are - and all for the same thing - HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. It's validating to know I'm not alone, yet disappointing since this is my neighborhood store. Owner is incredibly rude and condescending on a consistent basis. I think her son was working there today and noticed she treated him the same way, so this appears to be a character trait. She's bossy, unfriendly, and just downright lacking any of the basics of good customer service. Today she processed my whole transaction without a single word (it was an Amazon return with a QR code)...kinda impressive, I guess? I will NOT return. Terrible customer service. No one greeted me when I walked in. Stood around like a ghost at the counter for a minute or so before anyone helped me and the place was empty. Once I was helped, you would have thought I asked them for the world. It was like "they couldn't be bothered." I understand people have bad days, but now that this has happened twice, I'm not so sure it's just one bad day. Terrible customer service and experience! Was "greeted" after I acknowledged them first. Two women at the counter with an empty store and they couldn't even bother with basic customer service, greeting and acknowledging before the customer does. In most UPS stores if you show them a label in an email, they would print it for you no charge, in this one I had to use their rickety Windows computer at a total charge of 4 dollars to print the label. I did it because my printer at home is dead, but never again. Once I was ready one of them gave me a packing slip envelope to put the label in and attach it. Maybe I've been spoiled with other stores but I find that most times this is done by the UPS reps. Needless to say, I won't be coming back no matter how convenient it is. read more

The woman who helped me was slow, rude and condescending. I've used this location to ship many times for work using my UPS account for billing. Today she told me that's not possible and never has been. I left and went to the Barbur Blvd location and they were able to do it just fine. Horrible experience. They didn't have the means to read my memory card. They couldn't scan my documents forcing me to re-copy them Myself and charging me.They refused to send my documents to my recipient insisting that they needed to go to My own email. And then failed to send all the information anyway. The manager failed to allow her employee to focus on her job. And refused to listen to me when I tried to explain to her what had gone wrong. Two hours 20 pages and $20 and my information still is not where it needs to go.That's just my last visit my visits before have been equally unpleasant. I've been a customer for almost a decade and have always had respectful and prompt service. I live in the neighborhood and have done everything from drop off pre-paid packages and purchase print services or faxed documents, plus even rented a postal box for a couple years. I've never had a problem and the owner along with staff have been friendly and helpful. You really can't expect stores to drop everything just to serve you the second you walk in or expect them to offer free packaging materials. That's ridiculous. read more

The owner, Reena, often works behind the counter. She is one of the most inept customer service providers I have ever encountered. Usually she will ignore you as long as possible after you walk in, makes zero eye contact, and offers rude and curt responses to questions and requests. They also have high employee turnover, which is not surprising since I've seen her berate her employees in front of customers (so unnecessary and unprofessional). I try and support local BUT this location is awful. I come here several times per month and today the lady working the counter tells me I need to buy tape and tape up my box. $5 for tape. I have NEVER been asked to tape my return boxes. I've always come in with the item in the box and the return label. If their is a line I've been told to leave it and they will take care of it. If your going to change your policy the post it. I don't see anything posted. After I left and was sitting in my car writing this review I saw 2 people walk in my untaped boxes and they just dropped them off and walked right out. Next time I need to fax something or ship something I will be going somewhere else. read more

The owner of this store and her employee went above and beyond to help me with a large shipping order to Anchorage, Alaska. Most of the items to be shipped were framed paintings, prints, and items of personal value. I came into the store without warning and they were quite attentive, even helping to bring the items into the store. I had to leave town that day and so had to trust them to take care of my items. Reena, the owner, was patient, thoughtful, knowledgeable, and gave me a realistic plan for shipment. They packed all objects with care and great attention to detail. I worked with them in person, via phone, and via email. They were without fail responsive and answered all of my inquiries. All of my items arrived in Anchorage safe and sound. I love this UPS store and Rena, the owner. I see some negative reviews and really can't believe because I have always had such wonderful customer service here that has gone beyond. Today, I went in to ship a custom print to my sister in SC. I had picked the print up at Michael's, and then tried to wrap for me for shipping. Unfortunately, the way they wrapped this item, would cost a small fortune to ship. So, Rena suggested taking all the packing off to get the cost down and a smaller box. Thank God she did because it's then I realized that Michael's totally screwed up my custom frame order. Whole other story. Rena was able to get the ship cost way down and really helped me out by providing a screwdriver and other tools I needed to undo the frame etc... She was so patient with me and kind. It really made a difference. I have been in there before to ship and each time everyone is so kind, helpful and really nice to deal with. Thank you Rena. So appreciate you and your staff. read more

The owner of this store and each employee I interacted went above and beyond to help me with an extremely complicated printing project. If it weren't for them, I truly do not know what I would've done. They were kind, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. It's evident the management wants to do anything they can do to help you. I worked with them in person, via phone, AND via email! There was always someone there to respond to me and follow up, and to answer all my questions. As an aside, they have a vast array of skills. If you have a printing need or a project of any kind, I'm confident they can do it. I don't think I'll ever go anywhere else in Portland for any printing needs I may have in the future. read more

I came in mid day and there was one lady behind the counter. She may have been helping somone but that someone was off to the side of the store filling out something or completing their packaging. The store clerk was pretty rude about not being able to help me despite it being obvious i was just dropping off a package and only wanted a receipt for tracking. She acted like she could not do that and pretty much made me take a photo of the tracking from the label. I felt pretty weird about the way she had treated me and leaving my pckage with her. She took her time taking it off the table and the package contained an expensive item hence me caring so much. When i went to track the package they had sent it to southern oregon despite its destination being new york. I got an alert that ups had missorted my package. I knew i should have trusted my gut and not left it with her. This delayed its delivery and my refund on the item. Would not recommend. I am sorry you hate your job and choose to do it so poorly as a power trip to customers. Lets see how that works out for you read more

I was surprised to see the negative reviews. These folks are really nice and have been very accommodating and helpful whenever I am there. I get my mail there and I get a lot of packages so I am frequently in line observing other customers. I have never seen the staff act unprofessionally or be condescending to any customers. I have seen customers being entirely unreasonable however, such as insisting on a refund when packages were late due to a raging ice storm last winter that also kept the USPS from delivering for several days. read more

Every time I come in this location someone is rude to me or another customer is upset because someone was rude to them. The lady who always looks sour Rena, Reena or whatever is so impolite and her customer service of horrific. I feel bad for anyone that works with her. Offers online printing... Doesn't have Wifi. So, I couldn't access email confirmation and we weren't sure if the job had possibly been sent to a different location. Luckily, Starbucks nearby offers Wifi, so I was able to use it on their patio without a purchase- for the UPS business. read more

Incredibly bad service. I had the same issue twice. I needed to mail something with tracking, and I specifically asked for tracking at the time of checkout. I was assured both times that the packages would be tracked. Since the receipt came with a tracking number on it, I assumed everything was OK. It was only after I got home that I discovered they sent the packages in a non-trackable way. When I called them to report the errors, the woman on the phone was incredibly rude and condescending. She straight up denied their error and hang up on me in the middle of the phone call! Why would I waste my time calling them if they didn't make this error to begin with?! The first package I sent straight up got lost after that. The second letter (this one had sensitive info like my SSN in it) is currently no where to be found. She should be fired for such bad customer service. Do not waste your money going here. Better off using FedEx. read more
