I've been dropping off packages here for over a year and the young woman that was always there was SO nice. It was great being able to casually drop off packages in the bins, for free, nice and easy. Imagine my surprise when I stopped by last night to find a new employee, an older woman than the usual staff member, who was SO rude. Someone else mentioned it - yes, they now definitely charge $1 per USPS package, same as the Postal Annex (which is why I came here, to avoid that charge). I came in with around 10 small USPS packages, wanted to drop them off in the bin. The employee says "no you have to drop them off here, so that UPS knows to pick them up." Go up, tell her they're not UPS but USPS. She says "Oh, you really should have just come straight here, y'know. It's $1 per package." I said, "Sorry, I didn't know. Nevermind then." I don't know how long the old system was in place for, but if you're gonna change all the rules, please make some signage or something? Don't just yell at me and then scold me for doing the wrong procedure. read more

I thought this little shop would be a great alternative to standing in line at the Post Office. And during these days of COVID, standing in any line is not something I plan on doing much of. I was wrong. And just to note, the opening time on their website (8:30) does not match the store hours posted in their window (9:00). It is so damn annoying to get there at 8:30 and have to wait until 9:00. I had three Christmas packages to mail this year and wanted to get in and out quickly. I thought going right at opening time would ensure that I'd be the only person in the store but a few others had the same plan. The young man at the counter was helpful and masked but unfortunately painfully slow. Most of the other customers were savvy about keeping their distance and waited outside until it was their turn. Then this asshole showed up, dressed in flannel Elmo pajama bottoms (!!!!!) a face scarf, no mask and elbowed his way into the store. He was practically breathing down my neck until the clerk told him to step back. Note to self: if I get sick it will be because of this guy. I'm not sure if they mark up their shipping fees or not but holy moley, $33 to ship a box to Morgan Hill, CA and another $26 to San Jose, CA. Neither box weighed THAT much. I guess I'm lucky I'm mailing less this year. Ouch. During better times I would have stopped to look at all the miscellaneous "gifty" items available for sale but no window shopping today. Another time for sure. AIM Mail Center has all the services of the Post Office without the lines. Well, shorter lines anyway. During COVID I take what I can get. I do appreciate the employees who put their own lives and health on the line so I can mail Christmas presents to my family. read more

I have always had a bad experience with mail centers in general, and have been avoiding it for the longest time. But came here to drop off a few boxes as I was on a rush. Super friendly service! After the amazing service I received, it made me think twice about mail centers again. Keep up the great work!! read more

Oh my goodness. Holy AWFUL. First of all, it is SO expensive, you could Uber to the nearest Post Office and still save money. They are a CLEAR rip off as to what they offer and what they charge. And the funny thing is, the delivery time for their items was longer than what I sent via USPS! The employee in the store was fine, wasn't super social or chatty, just did his job. There is literally nothing I like about this store. I will never go back, and I will never go anywhere but USPS direct again. The Post Office may be useless but everyone already knows that. At least I'm not paying for it. Save your money, and aggravation and don't spend your money here. read more

Thanks for taking my packages! I know that is the basis of what your business offer but you'd be surprised at the place that try to charge to drop off small packages. You have my business for good... stamps....cards....copies....etc. I'll drive out of my way since you gladly accept my package drop off versus the Postal Annex that turns people away! read more

Whoa they charge you $1.49 just to print from your thumb drive. I got four black and white copies for $1.89. Ok this is not big money in the grand scheme of things but any means, but for a shop to charge a service charge just to print from your thumb drive seems a bit ridiculous. Plus she didn't tell me before printing that there was a service charge. I wouldn't come here again. read more

Stopped in to ask a question about photos. The girl behind the counter was having a conversation with another woman about rent prices and how those awful people from California are ruining everything in Portland. I stood there in plain view, the only other person in the store, obviously waiting for help, for a good 3 or 4 minutes before turning and walking out while they kept chatting away. I sincerely hope that girl runs the place and isn't someone they hired for customer service. Also, I moved here from California. TL;DR I wouldn't go in here again if I was on fire and they sold extinguishers. read more

Would give negative stars if possible. VERY SHADY!!!! My friend went to drop off boxes and use my fedex account to pay. They claimed they couldn't take my account number, then charged $150 to ship something that normally costs only $50 to ship. I called FedEx, only to discover this company has already received cease and desist letters from FedEx for illegally using their name and claiming to be authorized. I offered to send them a label by email, and they wanted $5.30 to print then pages, claiming their credit card company charges $3. When I asked what company charges that much, they said none of my business, then insisted my friend pick up the boxes and take them to fedex herself. USE THIS BUSINESS AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!! read more

Overpriced and rude customer service. I went here to have some documents printed in color since I live nearby. They charged me almost $20 for only 15 sheets of paper. This included a service charge for taking the docs off of my thumb drive. I would have appreciated if they explained or at least posted costs beforehand, that way they do not surprise their customers with hidden fees. I've printed similar page ranges at Fedex for a fourth of the price, and no service fee. The guy helping me also had a bad attitude the whole time. read more

I've had a few shady experiences using this mail center, and can not in good faith recommend. When sending letters and envelopes from here delivery time seems to be overly lengthy versus USPS. I have on a number of occasions had letters take over a week for fairly short trips. I once did a test with the same address and the variance in delivery was 3 days! In addition this mail center charges considerably more than UPS, FedEX, and USPS. I don't mind paying $1.00-$2.00 more for convenience, but I really feel gouged when the same shipping is CONSIDERABLY less elsewhere. read more

I checked Yelp today to see if they were open(on Sunday). After reading several negative reviews, I feel compelled to share my own as I frequent this location. Usually I come here to ship gifts to my nieces. The service is friendly and professional, every single time. I also often have Amazon returns for which I have pre-printed return labels and they gladly accept my packages, even sealing them closed for me, even though this is not business for them. They have a mix of goods and trinkets that are fun and well priced and we will usually pick something up to add to our envelope when we are there to send a letter to one of my daughter's pen pals. I love that they are located in Progress Ridge because I am always there either for groceries, to have coffee, or for banking. read more

The lady is very nice and helpful. The shop is filled with a lot of stuff. From cards and stationary to jewelry, bags and balloons. Every time I go in just to drop a box off, my kids always want something. They accept all carriers and have everything to ship it. read more

I've used Aim Mail Service for 3 years now - since moving into the neighborhood. I used to use the Postal Annex and it seems pretty much the same. I wonder if some of the negative comments result from communication issues, or failure to understand the function of these services. Here are the things one should know before using a mail service: It is NOT a Post Office, therefore, they charge some sort of convenience fee to mail your stuff. Flat rate envelopes do not exist here - you'll have to take it to a post office. The Post Office does not give them a percentage of the stamps/rate so an extra charge is needed. Fedex, UPS. I'm not sure about here, but I know from the Postal Annex that they normally get a small fee/percentage/something from Fedex and UPS. I've taken pre-labeled Fedex and UPS packages here to drop off all the time (I pay and print the labels online at Fedex and UPS site). They always take it happily and ended up at the right destination. I haven't paid the Fedex/UPS fee on site so I do not know if they tack on some convenience charge for it, but I'd recommended doing it online if you do run into trouble. Mailbox. I've rented a mailbox here for three years and it's been pretty smooth. The store is run by an Indian couple. Store has other random interesting goods that I never buy (jewelry, bags, clothes - probably from India). They always have candy available for the kids and seem very nice whenever I pick up my mail. My best guess is with other people's issues is communication. I don't normally write reviews but came across this while looking for other things and felt I should throw in my two cents. read more

I have been a happy customer for over a year. I have used their services for Notary, photocopy, passport photos, printing and mailing (Fedex/UPS) on several occasions. I've used this store many times to ship packages or to mail letters. The lady at the counter is very polite and good at giving cost comparison of different services - she has helped me to save some money on packages that were not delivery time sensitive. I've mostly shipped packages to my family in Canada or returned stuff to Amazon. I've used their notary public service and faxing service too couple times. I'm quite surprised to see the negative comments. In this age of technology, it would be almost impossible for a store to charge more than its competitors in the neighborhood and still survive. That kind of shady service has not been my experience at this location. I enjoy the convenient location of this store and the courtesy of the staff; they have my loyalty :) read more

Where do I even start, this place can not be trusted and is highly over priced! There is junk EVERYWHERE. Unorganized shipping supplies, trinkets, winter clothing and accessories, stuffed animals, stationary. What!?...random junk. If there is something you're shipping that is of any importance I WOULD NOT trust it would make it out of that office much less in a timely manner. I stopped in to mail a document and was not given any option as far as shipping methods/options. She changed me $2.40. I asked her for the tracking information and she could not provide that. She didn't affix my package with ANY postage or shipping information. Had I left who knows where it would have ended up! During my time there the lady was much more concerned about selling a $7 winter hat to an older lady than helping me with my shipping. Then she offered "certified shipping" (which I was initially looking for- too bad I was not offered that to begin with!) I asked what the cost for that would be and expected delivery date. She said $7 (and some change.) Yikes! Highly overpriced! She couldn't tell me expected delivery on that certified shipping. I took my package to Postal Annex and had a great experience, reasonably priced($5.90) and all of my tracking and delivery information was printed out for me. My experience at AIM Mail Center was awful, I feel they are up to no good and I want no part of that. STAY AWAY. read more

aim mail center on Barrows road is a great place for all your shipping, printing, faxing and they have lots of other things to buy. you are alway greeted with a warm smile. I been going there ever since they opened such nice and helpful people. I recommend this store ! read more
