Customer service man and woman who was extremely rude.

1 Star - Never Again If I could give 0 stars, I would. This was by far the worst UPS Store experience I've ever had. My husband, baby, and I came in to return Amazon packages and from the moment we walked in, the staff was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. The woman behind the counter refused to help us purchase the correct box, repeating over and over "No, you can't buy that box, it's for moving," without offering a solution. When my husband asked what we could buy, she just said, "I can't help you." She was also nearly yelling at another customer named Shanna, who calmly explained she had just spoken with UPS customer service about her return. Instead of listening, the woman kept raising her voice and saying "No, you can't do this." When I stepped in to defend Shanna, I said, "Yes, it's my business to jump in when you're disrespecting another customer and I'm trying to help them out." The man in the photo (her husband) butted in, telling me "It's not your business because this isn't your business." From there, things only got worse. He repeatedly cut me off, talked down to me like I was stupid, waved his hands in my face, and when my husband told him not to speak to me like that, he escalated further -- saying "I can fight you." This was in front of our baby. Completely unprofessional and threatening behavior. As we left, the woman slammed the door shut on us while I was carrying my baby, and then the man aggressively swung it back open, shouting that they were still open (even though it was 4:25 -- five minutes before closing). On top of everything, they were taking personal phone calls during this chaos, talking about being "late" to family plans, instead of focusing on customers. This wasn't just bad service -- it was hostile, unsafe, and completely unacceptable. UPS should seriously review the conduct of the employees/owners at this location. I will never return here again, and I warn others to avoid this store at all costs.

I had to return a small Amazon package, and decided to use UPS for the return label. They are right up the street from me so why not? I walk there with the package in my backpack and when I get there I ask if I can use their printer for the shipping label. The guy in a bored and monotone voice tells me it will cost $2.50, and without pause tells me to step over to their debit keypad to pay. I politely told him I'm not going to pay 2.50 for a piece of paper. So my quick trip turns into a 3 mile hike as I walk to the library to print the shipping label for free. Beautiful day for getting some extra exercise anyway! During my trek I notice an Amazon locker directly across the street from the library. That locker is what I will be using instead if I ever have to return anything to Amazon again. read more

The owner (older man by the name of Ti) is nice in person, but he's a bit of a cheapskate and has a tendency to hire the cheapest labor he can find. Usually kids fresh out of high-school who have lousy attitudes and zero understanding of how to work with customers. I come here once every couple years hoping they've gotten better, but it only gets worse. This place is so bad that I'll drive to the other end of town, or sometimes even use the USPS... which is basically pretty bad when the US Postal Service is a more enjoyable experience than this place. Avoid at all costs! read more

I was quoted ~$21 (fees included) to ship a 12 x 9.5 x 3.5 - 7 lb box by their website and ended up paying $30.87. The next package I shipped was quoted at ~$52 online. I stopped by the post office to get an in-person quote from them and the stated me ~$55. Okay, maybe I'll give this UPS store another chance. Nope! They quoted me $68! When I brought the discrepancy up, the girl said that the website is wrong. What methinks is that the owner is adding on a few percentage points to shipping cost as profit seeing how UPS handles the USPS's ground package transit. I recommend either shipping by USPS, doing drop-off only, or going to another UPS store. Stay away unless an extra %'s don't matter to you. read more

Avoid this store at all costs - go to one of the other stores in Renton if you have to! I have had UPS Store boxes in Maryland, PA, New Jersey, Minnesota and in Seattle, WA. This store provided me with the worst experience I have EVER had with a UPS Store. I moved into the area from the east coast. I move a lot due to work. I always get a UPS store box when I move into a city and have my mail forwarded their because they are so efficient at getting my mail to me and they don't complain like the postal service does if mail builds up in the box. Anyway, I had a dispute with the store over their acceptance of a form of identification and their rejection of that form a few weeks later. I canceled the box before 30 days had passed. I prepaid for the year. They refused to give me back any money at all even though I had paid for an entire year. The store even refused to refund the key charge. They also wrote notes on my actual mail instead of leaving a note on a post-it-note or something in the box. I started a business after opening the box and the store told me that they wouldn't accept mail for it unless I gave them a business license for it. What? I have never had that happen! The whole situation just reflected poor care for the customer. I opened another box at another UPS store and haven't had any issues at the new store. Avoid this store if you need a box. It just isn't worth it. read more

I've used this location when I'm in Renton several times and I've always been happy with my experience. I've been helped by both the owner and employees; all were friendly and very professional. Several times I've had large or bulky items and they've came out to my car to help get the items inside. I think the prices are very reasonable especially considering that the post office has a limited variety of sizes when it comes to boxes. If you don't want to pay to have your items packed (I thought prices for this service were also very reasonable), they have a pretty good selection of packing supplies for sale at the store; again prices are very reasonable. A nice bonus...they have a great collection of greeting cards. I've only used mailing/shipping services but check their website; I understand they have several other services available. Parking is great! I've always been able to park right in front of the store; much appreciated when juggling bulky items. Nice location if you need to run errands; several other businesses and restaurants in the area. read more

On more then one occasion with others in the store he's complained about being so busy or something not working. As customers, we shouldn't hear that. I get it, but it's not appropriate to vent in front of customers. This last time I had a couple Amazon returns and he told me to use the self-checkout machine. I told him it told me to see an Associate. He said it was because one needed to be bagged by them but I can use it for the other one. So I tried but the box was too big for the bags they provide and it said see an associate. I gave up and drove down to the UPS store by Fred Meyer and was in and out in under 2 mins. Since the space appears large enough to accommodate another machine, adding a second kiosk would significantly improve the experience and reduce wait times during busy periods. The after-hours self-service option is a great feature, but its usefulness is limited when there's only one machine available. I ordered a product (a camera kit worth 274$) through amazon on March 4-2014. I always do that because their customer service is one of that kind which satisfies me all the time ,either I make a purchase or returns it. The expected date of delivery of this item was March 13-2014. When checked the tracking number, it said that the delivery would be by 5pm. They tried to deliver at around 1:26pm which was opposite to the time seen in their tracking and left the first attempt delivery failure slip. Immediately I contacted UPS customer service to say that I won't be there to collect the package at that time and asked to leave that package at my door step, so that I would arrange someone to collect that immediately after they leave, which they didn't agree upon. I asked if they can tell me the time at which the package arrives, which they didn't like.They told me they would deliver whenever they can in the most arrogant tone that I have ever heard. Even then, without losing temper I managed to ask if they can contact us before delivering to our apartment which also seemed to be non acceptable to them. I was helpless as I had to go to work on Friday but was tracking the package and it again said it will arrive by 5pm and as it was the only time which I knew when the delivery may happen, I left from office pretty earlier than usual to get the package. Also in the 'first attempt failure slip' too they had mentioned that the next delivery would be by 5pm on March 14-2014. I still have the slip with me as a proof. But shockingly they had pasted the second attempt delivery slip too on my door at around 2pm. I contacted UPS and told my situation but they were so adamant that they couldn't leave the package at my apartment nor deliver it at my convenience. When asked if they have some nearby facility from where I can get the package, the arrogant lady from customer service told me that I have to purchase their 'My Choice' option for 5 dollars to avail that kind of facility. Otherwise I have to drive for 45 minutes and collect from their main facility.While I was digesting that none of the options seem to be acceptable to me, the lady on the other hand had hung up the phone without any apologies! I immediately contacted amazon to notify them that if I am still not getting my package by March 17 at least for any reason, I am going to cancel the purchase. They promised me to get my package delivered by March-17-2014 after 6pm. As I had trust on amazon, I didn't return the package and thought I would make my husband be at home from noon so that even if the item arrives at a time different than it promised, we could get that. He waited for package from 12pm and when I came to home a around 4:30pm, the wait continued for the rest of the day. No *** arrived for the whole day I was so pissed off and contacted the seller and asked why they didn't come and they want me to contact the carrier once. I just contacted them and they gave the most strange reply that any customer or client has ever got- The receiver has moved from the apartment!!!!!!!! Having informed UPS a lot of times that I haven't received the package and I will be there on Monday after 6pm or before 11am, I am just curious to know that who has made the note that receiver has moved from the apartment. And they are asking me to collect the package from the facility without even making a third attempt to deliver it. Haven't they made enough fun of me???????? read more

These guys sent my package BACK TO ME that was supposed to be returned to the company that shipped it to me. Resulted in it taking twice as long for me to get the product I was originally supposed to get. (Had to get the wrong item back before they could send out the right one) Sooooooooo frustrating!!!!!
