Unfortunately, I wrote down her name so I could write this review and now I can't find it! Argh! Thank you! Keep up the great work! I've been researching my family back many generations after finding ancient documents in a box. All I knew before was I'm named after my ancestors, but I was never told why. When I retired, I decided to take the time to find out. The odyssey has lasted for two years and will continue onward! I've been a customer of this UPS store since 2003. Back then it was called Mailboxes, Etc. Their service is more than fantastic. Recently I'd been hospitalized and I wasn't able to drive for 2 weeks. I called and asked if the was any way they could bring my accumulated mail and packages to my home. They did it that day after the store closed. Another great service is that they recognize when my car pulls up in front of of the store and have already started to collect my mail and packages so they are ready for me to pick up. A convenient location in downtown St Pete. But, I had a very weird experience trying to return an item in its original packaging. For this return, I was instructed to double box/package because of insurance requirements. So I tried to buy a UPS box at the store. The staff member asked me several specific questions about was in the box I was returning. It was an expensive item and some interesting questioning so I tried to be a little more general in my description. In the end he wouldn't sell me the box / return the item because it might be breakable. So, I went to another UPS store a little over a mile away which was better stocked, very pleasant and quick experience with no questions except whether or not I would like to round up and donate to a charity. Two stars here because there were no issues when I picked up the package at the downtown location. read more

The woman walking away should never work with the public. I had two packages to return. One I had to label and pack and the other one UPS would label and pack. She started lecturing me and then I showed her it was labeled and packed. The other package I said they pack and label for me and she said they don't. The man with long hair asked, "do you know how to read?" So I read Amazon's instructions that UPS was to pack and label my other package. He responded "oh you do know how to read!" So instead of seeing I had two packages with two separate methods of returning which I had prepared properly, they insulted and argued with me and were incredibly rude. Then nasty woman employee refused to accept my package for return at all. Believe me, I gave them an earful after being spoken to like that. Then I went back in to get names and no one would tell me his/her name. I think that tells you enough right there. Even if I had been confused or wrong about packing, that woman's demeanor was confrontational and nasty. And asking a customer if she can read? Wow, next level rudeness. You don't want these people working there, they're surly, nasty, and unfriendly. I went to the other UPS store on 4th Street and the young lady was super friendly and took my package happily. EDIT: After reading owner response I sent an email with the date and time of the incident and left my phone number. A manager, Julia, called me on 5/2/23 and apologized. Apparently there is her, a general manager, and an owner yet none of them was present during this incident. If you want employees to perform well, there needs to be a manager on duty every single day. read more

Customer service is always on point! I've made 25+ trips to this store for shipping (mostly returns) and the folks that work here are always a delight. Hilights include- - They allow you to email them your return labels (email address in photo), and they will print them out for you. I am so incredibly grateful for this option now that I am working from home, without a printer! - They often have packing materials available that people have left behind, so I always ask if they have any leftover before I purchase a materials. This is really very thoughtful, to keep these materials and offer them to customers for free! - They sell a wide range of greeting cards - I always forget to buy cards, so appreciate this! - COVID- Everyone was wearing a mask and there are stickers on the floor to assist in social distancing while waiting on line. read more

Horrible experience. Employees unfamiliar with shipping options and insurance. Another employee did not disclose costs of services which were exorbitant for the single page scanning that was performed. Horrible customer service. I do not recommend and will recommend fed ex (which is two blocks away) from now on. Avoid. **update. Took package to usps where I was quoted 5.00 less for the same mailing service (both usps media mail so the comparison is equal). Same size package and weight. Employee, at best, not knowledgeable, at worst, deceptive. As for service transparency, yes I feel that the employee should've disclosed that the cost of 1 scanned item is 12x the cost of your nearest competitor prior to scanning it. Utterly rude and dismissive once it was rung up with an actual shoulder shrug. Many of the employees are exemplary. But she needs to go. read more

I rarely leave negative reviews but I just had an experience so horrible at this store after a very tough day that I walked out feeling like I had been punched in the gut. Truly jaw dropping in your face rudeness. I have always had a great experience here, despite the fees. I don't mind paying more if the service and convenience are good. I will not return. I needed documents printed and explained that I had them on a flash drive OR could provide them by email. The employee took my flash drive and printed the documents. I got my receipt and was charged for computer time as well as prints. I didn't use a computer?? Apparently, the employees can only access flash drive files via the computer they charge you for. I'm explained not going to pay for services I personally did not use. The employee replied "there are signs posted on the computers," which would help if I used them. Contacted UPS corporate and disputed charges on my card for services not used. FWIW, FedEx Office is just a couple blocks up and will not charge you for their employees using a computer. read more

What a bunch off ripoff artists. Everything they sell from pack and ship to shipping services is priced about 4 times what is fair and appropriate. They looked me in the eye and said that a 2 day letter would cost over $50 to deliver. Then they expected 9 for a small box and some packing peanuts. When I balked at those prices they offered the USPS service that costs about $8... For $19. I'm not opposed to a business making a profit but that is excessive. Considering how much they must be making off of Amazon returns I'm astounded that they mark up at all. I took everything to the USPS and paid $12 for the same results. read more

I went here to drop off two Amazon return packages and someone helped me right away at the counter even though another associate was busy helping the lady in front of me. I scanned my codes on my phone to return the packages and they printed out the return label and re-sealed my packages for me. I was in and out in less than 5 mins! Excellent customer service! First I was told they don't have notaries on the weekends but I just went in on a Monday and no notary. They need to put that on their website and stop advertising notary services. read more

Went to the UPS store to return an oversized item that needed a small amount of wrapping. The original wrapping was on the item. One of the staff, who is serving another customer, said it would cost $30 to wrap the item. I was still in line so thankfully my transaction was handled by Shawn who saved the day by assessing and processing my oversized return. A big call out to Shawn who practices GREAT customer service! I've always had great service but today Mike the print manager was rude. There was a long line and two cashiers. I was carrying four packages , one which was heavy. When Mike's last customer walked away, I went up to the counter to rest my heavy packages and he sent me back to the end of line because he said I had to wait to be called. I didn't see any sign saying this. It's unfortunate that people can't be kind. read more

One of our dogs slipped out and disappeared in the neighborhood the other night and we needed 400 fliers to distribute around the neighborhood. My friend has dealt with Joe there at the UPS store before and called him. He said he's have them ready although it was ten til seven in the evening. We drove down and found him printing the second batch. Yeager, his Schnauzer, greeted us at the door. It was so very kind of Joe to stay later and in five minutes we had the fliers in hand. It's a dog-friendly place and Yeager seems to be the main attraction for people who come to check their mail boxes. Joe was nice enough to post one of the missing fliers there at the store though I doubt our dog would make it that far away. Excellent service..thanks Joe! read more

Criminal what they charged for notary service. We had several copies of a document that required a total of 12 signatures. We were charged $120.00, $10 per signature. Buyer beware using this place for anything. read more

Slight of hand pricing structure. Was told Notary was $10. We had multiple pages and were notified after the service was completed that it was not $10 for the ten pages but rather $10 a page. There is a huge difference between a willful $10 charge for some signatures and a demanded fee of $100. Be ware of their tactics. Don was seemingly not accommodating or willing to assist. We were just told that this was indeed the correct price. We will not be using this store and will be telling others to steer clear.
