I was in a spot, my printer just ran out of ink and I had to ship a package that had already been delayed due to the holiday weekend. I called to see if this was something they could assist with and was told, yes, without hesitation. Upon arrival it looked like I wasn't the only one getting their shipping dilemmas resolved. A Covid compliant line trailed the sidewalk in 6 feet increments, keeping a steady pace as the 2 customer store limit revolved. This was my second visit to this store, and as in the past, the staff were surprisingly friendly considering the steady flow of customers. All I needed to do was to email my label to store1566@theupsstore.com, pay the nominal $1 fee, and voila! Done and done. I love supporting community businesses that make life easier! Don't let the line scare you!! This is a really small location with great service. The first time I saw the line out side I was worried but it moves super fast and once your inside you understand why the limit the number of guest inside...it would be cramped! So they keep it simple and organized the flow of people. I cannot say enough great things about this place and they have helped me with lots of different stuff. read more

Today, May 15th 2023 at 11am. The short woman working was so rude. So incredibly angry at a Hispanic older man because he couldn't understand how to make his phone scan a code. I was floored by her treatment. She was not yelling, but it thats a suprise because she looked like she wanted to punch him. . She was curt and sighing, the frustration evident. I was about to step in when the poor old man figured it out. But she was treating him like a child. And talking really loud. Just because people don't speak English as their first language, doesn't mean they can't hear. Even if he were there a hour trying to figure it out. She should have had her co-worker take over. This is the second time I have experienced rudeness in this store. Here's my take on it. If you can't be professional, can't be nice, don't work there! She should not be doing any kind of customer service. If I were the manager, I would have walked out of my office and told her to just go home. Oregon is a no fault state. After a very bad previous experience (the manager, who was without a mask, exposing her employees, in the middle of a pandemic, snapped at me really aggressively when I gently inquired why I was also charged $1 to print *one* b&w ups label on printer paper), I tried to give this place another shot. It is supposedly the only place in Salem with Sunday hours where you can ship a package. Arrived 12:00pm (posted hrs say open 10-3) and it was all locked up. On September 17, I returned to store #1566 to request a refund for the fees I paid for a passport photo which was rejected by the processing agency. I showed the store associate my UPS receipt, the original two photos produced by the UPS store, one of the two replacement photos produced by the processing agency (USPS), and my completed passport. My circumstances required that I present my passport application in person rather than mail the information into the agency. I scheduled an appointment with a qualified USPS location, presented the necessary documentation along with the two photos the UPS store gave me. Two federal agency representatives independently looked at the UPS photo and determined that it was not suitable because the image was washed-out and unfocused; Comparing the UPS and USPS photos today confirms this to be true. At that moment I was faced with either paying the USPS to retake my photos, ensuring that they would be acceptable, or walking away from my appointment altogether and further delay getting my passport. Walking away would have meant adding several weeks to the processing time as I would have to return to the UPS store on a weekend (my only opportunity) and then seek a new appointment with the USPS some weeks later, plus there was the risk that the UPS store would again produce a poor-quality image. The store associate I spoke with on the 17th said that she would call her manager and after doing so said she would not refund my money because the "USPS was just running a scam by not accepting private party photos." Additionally, she said that I should have returned to the store and asked that the picture be retaken even after I explained how that would be logistically impractical. To add salt to the wound, I was mockingly told in front of other waiting customers to "have a nice day" as I exited the store. This was a shockingly poor customer experience, particularly from a business that represents on their website to have "the appropriate equipment and knowledge to ensure your passport photos meet all requirements for U.S. passports and other ID cards." I provided proof of the UPS transaction as well as proof that the UPS product, in fact, did not "meet all requirements for U.S. passports" and cannot believe that they would refuse my request for a $14.99 refund. read more

I'm in outside sales and I rely on print/ship places like this all the time. That being said, you can imagine I've been to a lot of them and I can tell you that the service provided at this location is the BEST I've experienced anywhere in my cross country travels. And I've been to many good ones. Colton, the manager is personable and does the little things that make customers feel welcome. He anticipates needs, such as giving me a box for my self-service copying and working his way down the queue forming in his store to expedite service and shorten the line. He remembers repeat customers and is over the top thoughtful. He has made me switch from FedEx Print to his store. Good pricing on copies and you can email your print orders by sending it as a PDF attachment to your email. He also provides you multiple shipping options to allow you to make the best shipping decision for your package. Definitely will use this place for all my business and Christmas shipping needs. I dropped off a rather package at this location and apparently the package was never delivered to where I was mailing it to. I called the store and spoke with Derrick who had originally packed my large box. Derrick says that they have nothing in the computer that says my package was even dropped off nor shipped from this location. This sounds fishy to me. Absolutely terrible attitude. Store is smaller than a postage stamp, and upon entering I was very sternly told "SIR I'M GOING TO NEED YOU TO WAIT OUTSIDE!". Huh??? I said I had a labeled box just for Drop-off, and got yelled at "OUR MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY IS THREE, AND WE DON'T HAVE DROP OFF SERVICES! ". If your max occupancy is 3, post a sign and avoid confusion... Simple as that. If you're so bad at basic customer service that you tell people to wait outside for a service you're claiming you don't provide, maybe find another line of work? P. S. They allowed me to drop off my package, which given the entire experience, was probably the most surprising part. This is why I never leave the house. read more

I don't go here very often, maybe once every few months. But every time I have been in they have been pretty busy so if you are in a super big rush you may need to try to time it right during slower times or go elsewhere. But I've never had a problem waiting the few minutes to get help and get my stuff mailed. When you are helped they are always friendly and quick as they can be. read more

I use the site just about every time I return Amazon goods. One time I went in and found out I was supposed to print the label instead of just the quick scan bar I was used to, and the clerk was so helpful in printing it for me and boxing it up. Hassle free, and quick. Sometimes the line outside was long, but I didn't have to wait very long. Understandably, with the pandemic situation, I would rather wait outside rather than in, as their store is quite small inside. Thanks UPS for all you do! read more

The place is easy to find. However, they have a rude and somewhat racist staff who works here. I (Asian) walk in to drop off my Xfinity equipment. This lady as appears to be UPS staff (white) said fast and loud that I have to step outside even though there is no line because I guess she was assisting a customer and may be due to COVID-19 so that's okay. I did what she told me. A customer (white) with no mask step out and nicely hold the door for me so I can get in. Inside, this rude lady same staff said that I have to wear a mask in a rude voice so I said I have a mask and I put it on. She then starts saying to the other customer (white) that they are strictly following the rules. She continued talking to the other customer while entering my equipment into the customer, the way she says about the Mask was more intimidation to my part. The customer that she was talking to sense what was going on so she said something about the mask in a polite gesture, so that I guess this staff to stop, which she did. I guess this staff maybe realized that she wasn't customer friendly. I hope all business companies train well all their staff to be polite to the customers and for enforcing rules such as wearing a mask at least provide a mask for the customers. read more

The last few months this store has taken on the responsibility of taking and sending Amazon returns. I can't help but notice that they have been increasingly busy since I first started using this location. I would never know it based on their service whenever I go in. I've had such a wonderful experience every single time I've been in. Currently their hours have gotten shorter given that there is a pandemic happening yet are gracious enough to be working with the public to accommodate our shipping needs, which I appreciate first of all!!! Thank you!! They have done a great job posting the updated hours and have also corrected them on the website, so it is known. Yesterday I came in 10 minutes prior to closing to fix a package that I had mislabeled and they were beyond gracious and very accommodating. I watched them help 3 other people after they were technically closed and did so kindly. As another person that has been in customer service for many years of my life I have to say Lucas and ASHLEE helped me today and they were both fantastic. I ship a lot, I sell on Etsy. If you don't fit into the majority of their customers which was coded to me by a young lady who was some kind of manager with no customer service ability and apparently they have no ability to use their imagination on how to move the line outside following the guidelines for the pandemic I can think of three ways to move the line outside without bringing any more people inside I'm surprised they can't think of one I don't think they really care. read more

Can't believe this store. I called (503) 399-1320 the number they have listed with yelp and UPS Stores to confirm my package was delivered as I received a notification from UPS and Nordstrom that my package was delivered. Their voicemail system doesn't say it's the UPS store and nobody picks up the call despite repeated attempts at calling. Turns out this store's employees at the direction of "new management" sends all packages back to sender if you don't have a mailbox with them at this location. I have my UPS packages delivered to this store on occasion and have never had any problems but come to find out today from some kid working the counter that the new manager isn't letting people "get away" with having UPS deliveries at this store unless you have a paid mailbox. That's fine but how about calling or texting me about this "policy" before you make it a huge inconvenience? I do use the copiers and business services and this is such a huge mess up by the store I can't believe they are sending UPS packages back to sender UNLESS you rent a mailbox for them, and they don't tell you this ahead of the change. And they don't pick up their phone when you call them and their voicemail doesn't even mention you are calling their store or their hours and days of operation!!! What a Mickey Mouse operation, you guys are supposed to be convenient my for your customers, not a bunch of jerks who return UPS packages to sender for those who have UPS directed to your store for pick up. And at least be professional enough to set up a voicemail that is not generic and actually says where you are calling, your hours are open and if I should make the trip down there or not. I am extremely disappointed that they never even tried to help. The company that the package was being sent to turned me over to a collection agency instead of going after this UPS store that I trusted to make sure my mailing was returned. We had a issue with a package that went sent, unfortunately we didn't get the tracking number from the pre-printed label before we sent it at the store. Only to find out we were scammed on the package we were mailing through Macari . Our account was hacked and we couldn't get any information from it. A hard lesson to learn ....but I want to say I called and Ashley the manager did everything she could to help us try to locate a tracking number to have the package rerouted back to us. she spent an hour on the phone with me looking through every website timeslots videos from the store security cameras to find out when our package was mailed only to find out that it was through USPS and there was not much more she could do. I just wanna give her a shout out for outstanding customer service she went above and beyond!!!! Thank you for all the time spent trying to help us Ashley . Ridiculous prices. They up charge an enormous amount for shipping. Also, if you need to buy a small cardboard box and need some packing material, they'll charge you an arm and a leg for that as well. Don't waste your time. Just schedule a pick up with UPS or go to the Post Office. You'll save quite a bit of money. read more

They don't give shipping #s after paying for the service , turn customers away saying they don't have the equipment to process US postal service requests. Sometimes they give EBay seller discounts and sometimes don't. WORST LOCATION !!! Don't go there. Oh.. And apparently they don't need the business because they will send you to a competitor down the street .. God-awful customer service, overcharging for inferior delivery. On 5/23/18, a Wednesday, I needed to return a document to a bank in Calif. I went to UPS Store because I had received the document in a reusable UPS envelope. But returning it next day delivery was $50, per Derek the manager. I still wanted it returned before Memorial Day, but UPS doesn't deliver to a business on Saturday. So I paid $27.29 to have it delivered by Friday, 5/25/18. All the options and pricing were discussed with Derek to arrive at this choice. Then, the envelope sat in Salem for 31 hours before UPS even got it on its way, and it was not delivered until 5/29/18. I went back to Derek that day & said I should get some kind of refund. He agreed it sat in Salem way too long and he would submit a complaint, and I should expect full refund within a week or so. I waited almost 2 weeks & went back to Derek on 6/11/18. He checked his phone to tell me the complaint had indeed been submitted, but maybe UPS was just taking longer to process. I contacted UPS directly on or about 7/2/18 - they found no record of a complaint. I spoke to Derek on the phone the next day. He then said the complaint was submitted to the store owner, who decided whether to forward to UPS, but if she hadn't within 10 days it was too late to do anything. He said he would check with the owner and get back to me, but has not. By comparison, on 5/23/18, I sent a letter to the same Calif. area via Express Mail at the USPS for $6.70, and it arrived on Friday, 5/25/18. I definitely will not use UPS or this UPS Store again. I don't know which one is more of an incompetent rip-off. read more

Avoid this UPS store at all costs. I've had pleasant enough experiences in the past, but two recent episodes left me feeling like John Quinones from What Would You Do was about to pop out from behind a door in the back and ask me how I could have possibly kept my cool. In both occasions, the man working at the UPS store told me what seemed like lies when it came to shipping. In one instance, he gave me a box that was way too big for what I was shipping, and told me that it was impossible to cut the box down or to find a smaller option. The box he swore was the only option was more expensive to ship because it was oversized. Then I went to the post office (where I should have gone in the first place), and lo and behold, one of the ready-made priority mail boxes fit what I was sending perfectly. Then, yesterday, the same employee said he had never seen a box big enough to ship a guitar in its case, and that no one had ever shipped a guitar with them before in a box (instead, they shipped it through the mail just in the case, with no box...). The person in front of us in line had a similar shaped item--easily as big as a guitar in its case. We ended up going to another packing/shipping location, and they were able to box it and send it without any problems. While both of these circumstances might not be representative of all services at this store, I have actually been to this location to ship other oddly shaped items over the years, and have never had a single problem. Twice in the last few weeks is enough for me. If you want to send large items, don't do it from this store. Go elsewhere. read more

This store is a joke. I wasn't going to be home to sign for my UPS package so I changed delivery to this store from UPS My Choice. I thought this was a fantastic thing...I got notification the day it was delivered at 9:15am. I showed up that afternoon at 4:45pm to pick up the package. Two employees took 15 minutes looking and couldn't find the package. He told me it wasn't there and I needed to call UPS. He wouldn't even look it up on his computer. I left and called UPS and they told me that Colton at that location did sign for it and it was there. I went back the next day to try again...only to find out they refused the delivery and put it back on the truck. Ridiculous to offer this UPS My Choice (in)convenience only to sign and refuse a delivery. Now its 2 days later and I have no idea where my package is. All day long the tracking center has said it is out for delivery. 8:28pm now and it is still out for delivery. read more
