Friendly? Yes. Ridiculous? Yes. I was charged $1.84 to tape a 12 inch piece of tape on my shoe size box. And I even had a purchase, and my company has a shippers account with the store. Which they can never locate in their system when I'm there. And I end up having to pay out of pocket and waiting for reimbursement. My boss has no issues when he's there. And I previously worked at another UPS location, Fredericksburg, where we never ever charged someone for tape! I recommend stopping at a different location if you happen to forget to tape your box closed. I will drive out of my way to never go here again. I also hear they sell the used AA batteries out of the ATT remotes when people leave them when turning in their equipment. read more

The UPS store provided a quick and easy return experience. I was just dropping off a package that was pre-paid, but there was no wait. I was in and out in less than a minute. The staff was friendly and I appreciate that they are open until 6:30 as it accommodates the 9-5 work schedule. Unlike other UPS stores, there was plenty of parking at this location. I always appreciate a parking lot that isn't too busy! read more

I use this UPS all the time for Amazon returns. Yesterday I used them for the first time for Zappos and didn't realize I needed to box the shoes up (unlike Amazon returns) I also had individual codes for each shoe (so I couldn't put 2 in a box) all this 10 minutes before closing on a Sunday. Brittany stayed AN HOUR after closing as I was on the phone with Zappos getting new codes, helped me box them up and never did or said anything to imply I was troublesome. Just the opposite! She kindly and patiently helped me box and label and tape. All while my three year old was rolling around the store. She didn't make a face or say peep as I put back ass the gift cards my child had put in her bag. Every time I go in the workers are consistently patient and kind. And this time they went way beyond the expected. I highly recommend this store - I feel so lucky to have them so close to my house. read more

Do not use this place to ship anything valuable or anything period. They mixed up the package which I put insurance on and wanted to be delivered on the day after after Mother's Day! My sister got someone else's package and opened it thinking it was hers . When I called customer service to complain they were upset because they had to pay for a box my sister threw away because she thought it was her gift . Hello it had her name on it .She worker even argued with me. I asked customer service to reimburse me because my sister in law didn't get her package until a week later . They also inconvenienced someone getting a gift to go drop off the package just so the other person can get their package. My sister she has a full time job and two kids to take care of. UPS store NW Military & Huebner in San Antonio-   Hispanic lady working the counter told me I did not have the correct labels for my return and that I should call Amazon to get them. I left my packages with return slip on the counter and walked out to get my phone from my car. Next thing I know.... Wham.. she drug the boxes (2- 48' ceiling lights with bulbs) out of the store and slammed them down on the sidewalk in front of my car.  Whole interaction took less than a minute. Recently my wife was responsible for putting together the funeral program for her mother. Having to wait on others to provide details as to what to put in the program resulted in us taking it in for printing less than 24 hours before the service. The format we constructed it in was not correct for the way that we needed it printed out as. Anna, the owner, played with it some and said she could re-do it for us and have ready by noon the next day. Now getting upset, my wife explained that would be too late. Without another word Anna photoshopped the hel* out it to where exactly my wife wanted it, printed out and folded them. All while we waited there. I don't know what we would have done without Anna that day, but God bless her. read more

Let me start by saying, this particular store is fantastic! Their is a lot to be said for the price disparity between USPS, UPS, FedEx & DHL...but being that the UPS store (like this one) is privately owned, customers are their financial lifeline...they recognize this and go above and beyond to take care of their customer's needs. Problem: I had several packages that I desperately needed to mail out but didn't have shipping addresses for...and to add to the chaos, I was flying overseas early the next morning. I was in a serious bind and had no idea what to do. Solution: I stopped in at this UPS store, explained my predicament to the manager...and he took all the packages in, gave me his card & told me to call or email him each numbered package's corresponding address and he would debit my card. Outcome: Called in the addies from 10,000 miles away, packages shipped immediately, tracking #s of each package were emailed to me and card was charged. TOO EASY, this place saved my behind! read more

Faxing, mailing, greeting cards and more! This UPS store is easy and the employees are helpful and accessible. I recently used their services for a large mailing of a piece of mail I designed. They are very good about checking their email and returning messages. They can easily receive your attachment and instructions, print your mailer and have it ready for pick up in no time. Arrive to pay and see a line has formed? No worries, check out the cute greeting cards located at the front. I find most of the prices to be very reasonable except for the faxing fees. We had to fax a large document a few weeks ago and I "gaffed" at the $30 something charge. Wow, have I been transported to 1992? A $30 fax? Overall, they are truly recommended and a major plus is the fuzzy feeling of working with a local store that employs competent staff but having the backing of UPS. read more

I did a amazon return for a 5 inches long small tiny box and receptionist guy asked for $1 toseal it with the 2 inches long tape. Woaww, i work with fedex and they always seal my huge boxes for free, and this guy tried to charge me for few inches long tape. read more

Friendly sure. But don't come to this UPS they will charge you ridiculous fees to do the job they already do. There is $2 dollar fee just to send something to their email and have them print it off in addition to the price per piece of paper and price of color ink if needed. Anna the owner just wants to hustle her customers to do the job she's already getting paid for. You'd be better off going to another location or FedEx. Although $2 isn't much it starts to add up over time and is never a fee I have had to pay at any other UPS or FedEx. read more

Walked into this store because it was the closest one on my maps and was highly impressed with the level of service. I was greeted with a friendly staff and they were helping me figure out the most cost effective way to ship out my packages. I think there may have been a recent management change because everyone was very enthusiastic and made my day a little brighter. Never ship from this place, they offer insurance, didn't give any advice in how they work and when you get broken your time they refuse to pay the insurance. I was so surprised how they offer fraudulent services, charge you for it and then sorry is your fault that get broken, and simply say WE WILL NOT PAY THE INSURANCE, I never see such a thing like that any were else, they honor your insurance ANYWERE, but NOT HERE. Be very careful. Don't trust them. read more

These guys are the best! I recently had printer problems on a very important day of work. I was giving a presentation to my boss, and had no way to print my documents. I called the store and spoke to Cristian and explained my problem. He had me email my presentation to the store and even suggested that I bind the documents to make it more professional. I went to the store an hour later and it was ready for me to pick up. These guys saved me a lot grief and I received many compliments from my boss regarding how professional my presentation was. I had an issue with a package damaged by UPS that I sent from this store. I have contacted the store and they have refused to help me even file a claim with UPS. I spend almost $200 to ship something and UPS broke it and did not take the package to the final destination. They said it was my fault that my shipment was not packaged correctly and it broke. BUT I asked the manager of this store if my package was ok, she looked inside of the open box and said yes and did not offer a packing service from UPS. She was kind in person, but when this issue occurred I was treated with no respect. I will never visit this store again. I have been treated very poorly and customer service never responded to my claim. read more

I've been using this store for years and things have always been great. The staff has been quite pleasant, and the owner is almost always there helping out and greeting the customers. Never had an issue until now. I went in one day to mail a few timepieces. There were a few employees working, including the owner. The person behind the register was a young man that I didn't recognize, but I recognized the rest of the staff from my times in before. I'm guessing he was new, as they were instructing him on how to ring things up. This young man asked me what I was shipping and reluctantly I told him what it was. I was reluctant b/c I didn't want to tip anyone off that the contents of the box were quite valuable. In fact, I've never had to do this before, they've only ever asked if what I'm shipping is liquid, perishable, hazardous, etc, and if I want insurance. At the point the owner said they need to know what I was shipping. After I let them know I insured the package and we processed things. A couple days later the recipient of the package called me and told me that someone had opened the bottom of the package and had stolen one of the watches. They then taped things back up. I immediately went back to the store to inquire about the theft. The owner was there, as were other members of his staff. However, the young man that processed my order was not. When I let them know what happened, it was odd that nobody seemed very surprised. Not even a wow I can't believe that happened. Rather, they started to point at all the UPS hands that touch the package on its way to its destination, and how any of those handlers could have taken it. When I asked if they had cameras so we could see if it was taken at the store and if we should call the police to file a report, the owner told me no on both questions. In fact, they made it sound like it was nearly impossible that they could have taken it there at the store. He told me to file and insurance claim and UPS would pay. Upon returning to the store a couple weeks later to check on the claim status, the story changed from the owner. He told me I should go ahead and file a police report, as the item could turn up at a local pawn shop. Huh? When I asked why he was telling me this, since he was so adamant before not to file a report, he said that if he knew then what he knows now, he would have told me to do it before. WHAT?? When I tried to ask more, he just directed me back to UPS to process my claim. Also, there was a sign on the door that said "We're Hiring", and the person who processed my package was nowhere to be found. While the claim was ultimately paid out after weeks of back and forth, I feel like this whole thing was a bit shady. It would have been nice to hear the "new details" that they know now and just have been up front with me. That goes further than any apology. Because of this I won't use this store anymore. Btw, while this was a definite theft, UPS categorized this as a damaged item in their system. When I asked them why they do this, the UPS operator on the phone (not at the store) told me he thinks it may be for reporting. What lack of integrity on the part of UPS to hide what probably happens more than you think. What a shame, as I really liked using this store. read more

This is my "go-to" store for all of my (wife's) online shopping returns just out of convenience. I recently had to ship an insured package to our son in Houston and UPS' corporate rules basically prevented it from being delivered (honestly too convoluted of a story to go into here). The 2 Managers of this store, Renee & Susan, spent countless hours (this is NOT an exaggeration) over 2 days working with UPS Corp & the local Hub in Houston to solve the problem. I can't make this up, but the Hub in Houston's solution was to ship the package back to me and resend it using FedEx or USPS. Susan & Renee were able to come up with a solution to circumvent the ineptness of the Houston Hub Center management team; and after a 2-day delay the package was delivered. This doesn't say a lot for UPS as a company, but it sure says a heckuvalot about this UPS store and their dedication to seeing things through. They are the ONLY reason why I would even consider using UPS in the future. read more
