I am used to the UPS store where they are so nice and friendly and tape the box up and send you on your way. The complete opposite here. I walked in the store with my returns and there was no one else in the store. Empty. No greeting or anything. When I walked to the counter I could already tell the man was annoyed by his body language. He didn't even say "how can I help you?" Mind you, the store is empty. I said "Hi I need to return some packages." He looked super annoyed and said do you expect me to tape this for you? He said I will do it this one time. I said, "Oh I don't know that you don't do that here - I can take it somewhere else. He started SCREAMING at me ... SCREAMING ...."What do expect me to work for free? To waste my time and money taping your boxes?" I was like umm no I said I would take them somewhere else - you are saying that - not me - I said no thank you - I can tell you are really annoyed I will gladly take them somewhere else. It was shocking actually - the screaming. And I took my boxes somewhere else. I went straight to the FedEx on Del Mar Heights and had the opposite experience - they were so lovely and helpful - taped them with a smile and gave me my receipt. I told him my experience and he told me it's because the postal annex is a third party - but he was surprised because he said they get a stipend from FedEx for taking their packages. Maybe he was having a bad day - but his customers don't deserve the brunt of his anger. My advice if you have FedEx drop offs go to Del Mar Heights

The SHREW who owns this franchise doesn't know the meaning of customer service. I needed a couple of dollies to move my daughter out of her dorm and she was vague about what is available and what is not on the phone. Then there was a long and arduous process to rent just two dollies, for a total of $17! You have to list two emergency contacts. I was surprised by this since I didn't even have to do that for buying my house, and I was in a hurry, so when I asked this shrew why, she started screaming at me and threatened to not rent to me and said I was "giving her attitude" since I got there. I had been waiting in line and said nothing until she called me to the counter. And then all I did was ask a simple question and that made her blow up - very unstable. Apparently, that was a bad attitude - asking a question. Can you imagine someone saying that to a customer???!! I would have left but I was desperate and running short on time and this idiot was my only hope at the moment. STAY away! She's really disturbed and has a bad temper if you don't fall to her feet. Plus there is a long wait since she's the only one "working," if she's not having a temper tantrum. There's a ton of other places to rent moving equipment. Look them up! After I initially posted this review this loon also started stalking me by using my personal customer information in her system and Googling me & my LinkedIn profile. That should be illegal. SCARY! Beware! I factually stated what happened. I'll be setting my alarms on high alert in case this whackjob comes after me or commits credit card fraud with my information.

But only one employee was working (the other must have been on break because he came out later) - and he was on the phone with a customer for a good 15 minutes, without even looking up at me. I was determined to stay because I knew I was next (and would he really stay on the phone for 30 minutes?) - & because I'd gotten really bad passport photos done at the local Postal Annex - and UPS & AAA are closed on Sunday and I wanted to get this DONE (AAA had a really long line on Sat. & I knew it could be long if I tried again next week). Also my friend told me she got passport photos here and they came out well. So sure enough when the employee was done on the phone (wearied by the annoying customer who was doing way more of the talking), he did my passport photos quickly and they came out great. $16 is more than AAA charges, but less than Postal Annex and they came out beautifully. So 5 stars for my photos, 3.5 stars for the value, 1 star for the customer who kept the lone employee on the phone for 15 mins, and then you decide what I should give the employee who took great photos but didn't say hi once while I was the only one in line and waiting LOL.
