I went to this UPS Store and the woman who assisted me was also having a conversation with a coworker. I had to ask a same question 3 different times one after another because each time I asked, she would turn her head away and continue the conversation with the other employee, while I waited on her. It was very unusual and rude. No doubt. What I don't quite understand is how she can get away with being so rude and unprofessional in front of her other coworkers and possibly even the boss, idk if he was one of the other employees there, and not get called on it. Everyone witnessed it. I don't think that anyone should be rude when they provide a service. That was just my observation and experience at that UPS Store. read more

The employees in this UPS are kind and helpful. Due to COVID-19 packages are delivered late, i.e. (2-day shipping arrives in 3 business days) and no refunds are offered. It is disappointing that UPS has not done something to rise to the increased demand of its shipping services (such as perhaps hire more employees, increase routes), and instead continues to use the pandemic as an excuse 5+ months in to NOT guarantee on-time delivery (which is their business). I must acknowledge that the nicest thing about this store is it is open from 9:30am-7pm, which is later than all other UPS and USPS in the area. read more

Usually this location is pretty nice to go to, but there is a guy who works here that makes me uncomfortable. He is opening/had opened up a beverage shop, and he gave me his business card for his new business. Then he asks for my email so he can send me his new business's updates. Been here a few times, and came a few days ago and i was having a terrible day and i came in to mail something to my friends in Florida, and this guy named Eddy asked how i was doing, and was i okay and i told him what waa going on and he was like I'm sorry and starting giving me advise and telling me what he would do and you could tell he cared tbh, he helped me mail my package and everything, and we talked for a little, and he helped me feel better awesome customer service, i was really appreciative of everything this guy did and his advice. Order items from 4imprints. All 3 packages were sent out at the same time and were scheduled for delivery on Dec 16, 2022. Only 1 box arrived. UPS excuse was it's the holidays. 4 imprints refunded our money at the expense of UPS poor service. Pay the additional $ for a better delivery services. read more

I went to this UPS store and showed them my Amazon return code on my phone. They said they since it wasn't the QR code (square scan code) but a label barcode they would need to print out the label and I would be charged $2.50. I take responsibility for the lack of the regular Amazon QR code but the other UPS locations would never charge for something this simple. I'm disappointed that they wanted to charge for a label printing which they would have had to do with the other QR code anyway. This will not be our primary UPS store in the future. read more

Received the receipt (back in Sept), it is now December and AT&T is saying they never received it so they're trying to charge me $175 Of course UPS does not provide a tracking for this type of service, only a reference number... I like it because: 1) It's close to home 2) It has useful extended hours allowing me to 3) Stop in on the way home from work 4) Perfect parking, right in front 5) Not a bit of attitude about getting me a receipt...they offer it! Management does a great job in hiring! Staff is always helpful with suggestion/assisting packing. USPS & UPS personnel have good rapport; which is very important. During busy times staff is able to keep up and perform with ease WHILE treating each customer w/ individual unique service. I love my local UPS Store in San Pedro on West Park Western Drive. Sara, the Manager and Patrice was SUPERLATIVE. All the other employees are great too! But, I have worked with Sara and Patrice for more than 5 years. I live in a condo in a high-income neighborhood, Rancho Palos Verdes. Because we are condos and not HOMES, we have a row of 300 mailboxes, 4 inches across. The US Post Office always places the wrong mail in the wrong box. There is always mail sitting on top if a neighbor is kind enough to place it there when it has been placed in the wrong box. I wrote the top official in Washington D. C. and all the Members of Congress who want to defund the US Post Office. The best solution was to use UPS Store, 1379 West Park Western, San Pedro, 90732! I LOVE THEM! In 5 years, they haver NEVER LOST ANY OF MY PACKAGES! They are always so kind and patient when I call to determine if my package is present. I am a senior and awaiting his replacement surgery. So, I call to confirm the package has arrived. They are so patient and helpful although they are swamped and this was during COVID 19! They are the only company I trust with my brand new DELL computer and gifts from my grandchildren! For $5.00 per delivery, it is SO WORTH IT! I have them hold my new swim parka, Christmas (delayed by the US Post Office), medicines. As long as Patrice, who is also an excellent Notary Public, and Sara are there, you WILL BE PLEASED! This is the first time I've ever needed such services and was overwhelmed with how friendly and helpful the employees are. All my office needs were taken care of with expert knowledge. I needed them for Notary Service, Faxing, Photo Copy, Scanning and all jobs were done with expertise. San Pedro UPS saved my ceremony. On the Sunday the 7th, I had a black belt ceremony at San Pedro's Korean Bell. This is where we have had many ceremonies over the last many years. We have to print certificates and send them to my 2nd in command Tony Barnes, 8th degree black belt, in Biloxi, MS. I asked Lola at San Pedro UPS how we could make that work with less than 8 days to go. She gave me my options. What is more, when they arrived back, they we addressed to the UPS store. My mistake! Instead of delaying, I got a call from the owner "We got your package here, you don't have a PO box here, so we are not suppose to take it...but we know how important it is, we will hold it." Wow. What a personal touch. This was a special day because I presented my son Ian with my retired 9th degree belt. He wanted it when I died; I wanted to give it to him a long time sooner. It was a real emotional day for 4 people getting there 1st degree black belts. George Fullerton and I received a 30 year award for "contribution to inner city at risk youth over the last three decades." My son, Ian, got to see that. UPS San Pedro made that possible. Avoid this location or use FEdex. I just left this location on Tuesday 2:40 pm. And the employee who was helping is rude and doesn't have the slightest idea about customer service. I was shipping shoes in a shoe box. Usually when I ship from here the employees grabs a random box to ship it in because I already have a prePaid shipping label. Today this employee. Her name is Sarah I believe said I'd need to pay $5.95 for a box and another $6 for her to place the shoes inside. I told her, can we just use one of these (pointing) random boxes that were headed towards the trash. She said no. We don't do that here. I said that's usually what happens when I shipped shoes here in the past. Considering it's already in a shoe box. She said no. A couple seconds later another co-worker overheard as she's listing these outrageous charges and said we could just use this box, pointing to same exact boxes I suggested to her. She told him no! She then said do you have any random boxes at your house? You could go get one of those! I took my shoes and decided to leave. As I was driving away I saw the employee Sarah taking the trash boxes to the dumpster. Smh. I jumped out of my car, grabbed it and went back inside with my shoes. This is unbelievable how this location treats its customers. Forcing them to dig in the trash just to make an extra 5.95. Building a successful business requires repeat business. I am extremely picky, but I have been extremely impressed with the UPS store at this location. The office is bright, very clean, and spacious. The staff is absolutely amazing and professional. I needed a notary service and Brett was absolutely beyond magnificent in all aspects. He was absolutely professional, effective, caring, knowledgeable, customer-driven and personable. I got in and out in just a matter of 10 minutes for a notary service and we've all done, and the cost is extremely reasonable here. I also enjoyed my conversation with him along the way with Brett. Tyler is another personnel working at this UPS location, and he was also absolutely amazing in all aspects, too, very friendly, professional and effective in helping customers. BY FAR the BESTEST ups store I've ever been to. I live in Glendale but my parents live very close to these guys and I do my UPS related errand here. There is no staff that's less kind, cheerful and helpful than the other. They greet you warmly when you enter. They offer taping and getting all you need done without even you asking for it. Anival is such a kind guy so are the black lady (she is so fun to talk to) and the other white ladies in the store.
