i absolutely love this UPS store. christian (the manager) and his entire team are amazing -- they're always in a good mood, super helpful, and somehow keep the place running efficiently even when it's packed. they always make sure i get my confirmation receipts for my amazon returns (whole foods does not provide these and has lost returns in the past), and the music is always on point, which makes the errand feel way less stressful! and no matter how busy it gets, they never let the vibe change! i actually enjoy coming here because of them. highly recommend! read more

When you think of the UPS store or the post office, I guess you normally don't think too much about it...you're just trying to get it done. However, the other day, I had a very heavy return that I lugged into the UPS store all sweaty and tired. I gotta say, Sean, at this UPS store was amazing! He could tell I had a hard time and was extremely helpful. Took extra time to make sure my item would get to the correct location and helped me seal the box even more. The store has moved from it's location next door to Gelson's at Ocean Park and Lincoln to the northwest corner of the Starbucks mini-mall at Lincoln and Pico. Address is 1902a Lincoln Blvd. The space is larger and more open, and the staff is the same helpful crew. Try to get there in the am or the late afternoon when it's much easier to park. The lot gets a little crazy at lunch time and when Santa Monica High lets out. My first trip in today was a good experience. read more

Easy access, lots of parking, polite, staff, clerks, no lines, much better experience than going to the USps

i have been a loyal customer and have a box at this store, since 2013, as a matter of fact! i lived in NYC for nine years in between my first 17-year residency in LA and now my almost ninth year in LA 2.0. i got used to the idea of a doorman who would receive and sign for your packages. the UPS store does this wonderfully if you rent a box here. they give prompt notifications on email and they also put in a slip in your box so they have multiple backstops in their protocol so your items are assured to get to you. do they err? sure. of course. but in my now ninth year with them i think maybe a package got "lost" once and by that i mean they found it a week later. i will take those numbers any day. great service! read more

This is probably one of my most unexciting reviews. The best part of this particular UPS Store is that they have a giant easy free no drama parking lot and if you are not from this area that is Big! They share the parking lot with Gelsons and some other stores. I came here to drop off a package to return to REI. It was prepaid so I just gave the box to the clerk, she scanned it in for Ground Pickup. They have the latest Ground pickup in this area: 6 pm. Try to beat that one. Now the clerk asked me if I want a dropoff receipt: You bet I do! that's why I personally come here. If you don't get a receipt they can just make like they are scanning it in and take it home. Not saying they would do that here but it's pretty common in LA. They look for the sucker that leaves without a record of the dropoff as an extra payday. Oldest trick done all over the world. Always get a receipt as it forces them to scan it in. The clerk here was pleasant and there was no wait. I saw they have a lot of boxes so I asked for a size price list and she said they don't have that. Big mistake as publishing a list would sell more boxes. People can match their item to the box size and buy it but not if they don't know what sizes you sell! Clerk completely did not understand what I was talking about. It's okay she was young and just starting out. But they should really have it Finally, if you earn over 100k a year you qualify to shop at Gelsons food store next door. Prices here make Whole Foods seem like the 99 cents store. read more

I went into this ups with my brother yesterday . My brother has problems walking and he's a lot older so he's a little slower. I think it was Sean or Aron who helped us with the notary he's was patient and helpful thank you because of how nice he was I went in today to mail out a package and Suzy with a big smile once again there saying welcome to ups omg this is one of the best ups I have ever been been too. John has the absolute worst costumer service I have ever seen/witnessed. I've seen him have a bad attitude to a few customers in the past but I experienced it first hand today. Long story short an employee did not do his job correctly. They were super busy, put my shipping label inside of my package instead of putting it on the outside of my package and set it in a big pile of other packages that have not been sealed. They have done this in the past so I trusted them that the correct shipping label would eventually get on the outside of my package , package sealed and delivered promptly. They did not do this, my package was delivered back to me, not the company because they didn't do their job correctly . My package needed to be returned back to sender by a specific time or else I would not get refund. Now that I have to resend the package out it will not be delivered in time . So today I went by UPS asking what they can do to get my package delivered as soon as possible for free of charge to make up for their lack there of... JOHN WOULD DO NOTHING. He said he can take 10$ off of 40$ over night charge ... Oh! But first before offering this, he proceeds to say ... "if you noticed he did not put the shipping label on your package why didn't you say something?" UHMM EXCUSE ME?! I do not work at UPS, and when I drop off a package I am putting responsibility of correct delivery into the UPS employees hands. Isn't this what UPS is for?! Then after arguing back-and-forth for a good 2 to 3 minutes him just giving complete attitude. He offered me $10 off of a $40 overnight charge. $10? You have got to be kidding me. I'm really upset ... I am a regular customer at this UPS and the employees there are usually so nice! But John the supervisor, needs to be fired or demoted !! an apology would have been the least he could have done.. but I didn't even get that. read more

Easy to park, helpful - Ish staff. Filing a 1 Star given that they took a passport photo of me that was deemed incorrect sizing by the LA passport agency. If you're going to take the picture and charge people MORE than everywhere else ($20 versus $14 at LAPC) - at least freaking make sure it's correct. I had to shell out extra money to take another photo at the agency and waste time in the process. The UPS staff was not the LEAST bit apologetic about it, even though the goon that took my photo was standing nearby when I asked for a refund. They instead wanted ME to call THEM back to arrange a refund with the manager when he gets in NEXT WEEK when I'm out of the country. Inept + ridiculous. Don't take your passport photos here, it's not worth the gamble of it being wrong and will cost more than it should. read more

No, no, no. Just no. Do NOT go here. Riddle me this- I came in with a large box with important items I needed to get to NY ASAP (within 3 days). First off- they would not let me insure the box for over $999.99 UNLESS I would open it, go thru it, and provide receipts for al of the items inside. YES, At that exact moment. The most a surf and ridiculous thing I ever encountered. I have two business that ship small and large items every day and we have never had to do this. But oh well- I'm said that's fine let's do it for 999.99 just please make sure this box is in NYC within three (3) days. The cost doesn't matter I just needed the box to arrive in NY ASAP. How hard could that be?! Well guess what! It didn't! The lazy employee told it was 2 day shipping and ended up "making a mistake" and putting it as regular ground mail. So 10 days later I got a box that was no longer relevant to me (I needed the items inside of it for an important work trip) I never leave reviews and I consider myself a very understanding and fair person. BUT - IF YOUR ONLY RESPONSIBILITY while working at a shipping place is to ship items and you screwed this up- For absolutely NO reason- I don't feel bad.
