Since I do not trust some (well most) of my fellow neighbors in my apt complex, I decided to have a clothing order sent to this UPS Store. Overall, the process of picking up my items was fast and easy. I only had to show the attendant my ID, and I was well on my way with my new clothes. One tip, you might wanna make sure you know how many packages you are expecting because the attendant might not be sure. However, I will say that I really appreciated that the attendant double checked several places to ensure that I was picking up everything. The only negative of my experience, which is not the fault of the UPS Store, there is no free street parking. If you are driving to pick up an package or to use any of the UPS Store's services, and are cheap like me, be sure to bring someone with you. That way you 1. can park closer to the store and 2. will not have to pay for parking. That said, parking isn't super expensive in these parts. It was a bit annoying to go through the rigmarole of dealing with the parking app to pay for 10-15 minutes worth of parking. read more

Customer service isn't their strong suit. Dropped off an Amazon return which lack tape on package. It was on the box delivered from Amazon. The (Asian-China) man, working, advised it's the responsibility of the customer to tape boxes. The guy then offered to sell me a $6.99 roll of tape or he'd tape it for $2. Appalled, I request to cancel the Amazon return & I'll return home to take the box. Listen all, it's the principle. Dude made me leave the store to return with the box taped. Where is the customer service here? Why not advise of the discrepancy, as a one time courtesy, tape the freakin' box. My stars!!! It would have saved energy, time & perhaps a repeat customer. Dropped off a package to return to T-Mobile with a prepaid shipping label affixed on original box. Employee (only one working) who was busy with another customer told me I could skip the line and drop off my package since it was prepaid. When I paused to ask for a receipt, I was told "the computer's down so maybe a take picture". I took a picture of the tracking number and left on my way. Imagine my surprise one week later, when I checked my mail and got the SAME package I was trying to return to T-Mobile in MY OWN mailbox. I was utterly confused, and then I noticed where the tracking label I had attached was ripped off (I used gray tape to cover over the original label). I went back to check the tracking and saw the package was NEVER shipped out. Now I have to wonder WHERE my package was for one week, WHY someone ripped off the shipping info and WHETHER or not my item was tampered with before I reattempt my return. Never again. read more

Customer service at this location has tanked since Paul left. There's a younger associate there who is super helpful and courteous, but the older associate--who I've gathered on good authority is the manager and possibly the proprietor--leaves much to be desired, in terms of his treatment of customers. I rented a box at this location for my law practice for over a decade, having spent thousands of dollars in the aggregate. I terminated my box in January because it had become an unnecessary expense for me, and there were supposedly no solutions to reduce costs. Today, I was hassled about a single-sheet printed return label and a shipping box. I had four Amazon returns, one which I didn't realize required a box and label. The older associate (manager?) told me to send the label to the email address on a sign near the computer, "No problem." I emailed it, thinking nothing of it. He then rambled about whether my return needed a box and finally landed on, "...but this is fine as it is." As I'm assuming the transaction was finished, he asked me whether I wanted to pay cash or card. Pardon me? For what? He tells me only then that I have to buy a box (and never told me how much a box costs). Perplexed, I reminded him that he'd already told me that the box wasn't necessary. Still, he never quoted an actual dollar amount and insisted that my return wouldn't be accepted without being boxed. (It's worth mentioning here that the item was already in the box that it was shipped to me in.) I declined and told him I'd come back later with my own box. He then says, "Well, what about the label?" Ridiculous. I told him, one, that I'd been a customer there for more than ten years; and two, that I'd read the sign, as it's second nature for me, given my profession, and there was no conspicuous pricing for him to print a label for me (as opposed to me using their computer to print it myself). He said that my having been a long-term customer was "a separate issue," and essentially indicated that he didn't care at all that I'd supported that store. I was appalled and asked him how much I owed him for the single-sheet printout. Sixty-five cents? Are we haggling over less than a dollar, or do you plan to attach some arbitrary price to the one sheet of paper that you used to print a label? Ultimately, he told me "not to worry about it," and I left. As another reviewer, Will D., said below, it's the principle. Notify customers of any and all fees BEFORE they agree to anything so that they can make informed decisions. Otherwise, customers feel duped and taken advantage of. Suffice to say, I don't regret cancelling my box, and I'm ecstatic that I'm saving more than $600 a year that would otherwise profit this location. We visited the store 30 minutes prior to closing to ship a number of boxes associated with our son's move to Chicago. We packed some boxes ourselves but needed packing support on tv/golf clubs etc. Bhanu was amazing - he was so patient and helpful and even stayed late to finish everything we needed. read more

While they are nice, they do not offer self-printing (even though they clearly have screens on their printers where people can do it). I paid $4 for two black and white copies when the printing itself was $0.80 itself and $3 for "computer use" when i never touched the computer... not worth it. I go to UPS when I need something shipped quickly. This small, no-frills location delivers on that. The gentleman at this location has processed my shipment quickly and efficiently on two separate occasions. I was faced with sticker shock during my most recent visit when he told me how much it would cost to ship an item. I guess costs have gone up during the pandemic. I shipped my package on a Thursday evening and it arrived at the out-of-state address on Saturday afternoon, two days ahead of the promised time. This location frequently closes early on Saturdays. Paul should probably change the posted hours to reflect what actually takes place. Especially since there are not many UPS stores around it's important to be accurate with your hours as I went out of my way to find this location and only to find it closed when the posted hours on the website and on the door state that the location should be open. read more

I go here to drop off packages periodically. The clerk is often very discourteous and exudes a cavalier disregard for customers. He was vacuuming when I arrived one evening (well before closing) and proceeded to finish vacuuming before accepting my return. FYI: my transaction took under 30 seconds to process. read more

I feel compelled to write a review because I'm still in shock about what I just did today. I had the misfortune of having a hearing aid fail while visiting family for Thanksgiving. I decided that rather than wait to return home to California I'd overnight it to my audiologist to get the repair going. Mind you, I was lucky enough to have a backup / old device on me which will get me through the holiday adequately. Not enough people realize we get to pay many thousands of dollars for these devices which are completely and totally necessary to have any hope of communicating with anyone. I walked in and told the Indian guy that I needed to ship the tiny piece that was in a hard clamshell case and would have been fine to send in a Pak. He initially grabbed a Pak but then thought it would be better to put the Pak wrapped into another Pak and then into 2 small boxes. That's right. It would probably survive a tank rolling over it but ok. I can't fault him for wanting to make sure it was packed well. The real shocker came when he rang it up. I couldn't believe my ear(s) when he quoted $170 something to send it overnight. I asked him what other option there were and I thought I heard him correctly when he said $140 for 2 day air. Hearing impaired people don't hear people with accents that well, so I had to ask him to repeat it a few times, mostly out of disbelief. I finally asked him to see the screen, which he became pretty annoyed about. He seemed to have no empathy at all about my exasperation at having to spend over $140 to send something like a medical prosthetic. He asked me if I didn't believe him when I asked if I could see the screen. I am not a rude or cross person in any way. I was genuinely shocked at the situation, didn't know what I should do, realized he already packed it in 2 boxes and taped everything up (before he quoted me prices) and felt a lot of pressure to just send it. In addition, there was a lady who was waiting when I got there, I then told him he should help her, he dismissed that with something about needing to get this transaction wrapped up before he could help her. I asked twice and he said the same thing. I see a few other reviews that say something similar and it seems this may be a franchise that can set their own pricing. I did declare the value of the device to be $3000, which is true (see above about getting to pay that much for the luxury of being able to hear barely well enough to get by) so that may have increased the cost a bit, but still. I would and will avoid this and any shipping center like this going forward. It's clear to me they may have sprung up to meet the demand of the internet age and the shipping that results, but if price gouging is the topic I'll go out of my way to go to the USPS where I'll have to stand in line but at least I know I'll get a fair price. I went ahead and paid the hostage tax and left, head shaking. I was in a predicament though and did what I felt I had to do. UPDATE: Based on the owner's / employee's feedback comment I am upgrading this review to 3 stars. If in fact they did simply quote UPSs shipping fees then I guess my real grievance is with UPS. I stand by what I said though about the egregiousness of those fees, so if you are planning to ship something check around first online to see what is in store for you fee-wise. The clerk did super pack my item and did work with me but the shock of the cost did force me to consider my options for several minutes. I did feel pressured to send it because he had already boxed it up, so unfortunately I did feel pressured. Sending it ground was not an option as I really needed it sent overnight. 2 day was a worst case scenario for me. Again, it is a medical device necessary for me to function, it isn't something just nice to have. I don't expect anyone at UPS or the store to know or care and reduce fees accordingly, I'm just stating why I needed it sent quickly. As long as you the customer have vetted shipping costs or are aware of what they may be, if you do that and need a place to pack up and ship your item via UPS this place will serve that purpose for you. read more

I've gone to this store many times to drop off packages. My experience is typically okay and I try to be personable with the clerk because I understand that customer service jobs can be challenging. However, I felt he was rude to me today. I guess trying to be friendly sometimes allows staff to get too comfortable and think it's okay not to be courteous. The clerk behaved like a real smart aleck when I advocated for myself regarding the subpar service I was receiving. If you're having a bad day, don't project it onto the customers. read more

We scheduled an appointment for 1:30 pm on June 23rd to have a document notarized. At approximately 10 am, I received a phone message and an email telling me that the notary would not be available at 1:30 and that we should come at 11 am. As we walked in the door, the employee asked right away if I was the 11 am appointment for a notary. He then said that the notary would not be there until between1 and 2 pm. I expressed my displeasure and asked for the manager's name and email. The employee repeatedly told me that it wasn't his fault and he didn't know I was coming. (Then how did he know to greet me asking if I was there for a notary appt?) As I left the store, my wife saw him give me the finger behind my back. Do not use this store. read more

I visited this UPS store today to make some Amazon returns. The store clerk took my items, scanned my barcodes and wished me a good day. So far so good. Yet, I requested a receipt for the returns, as they totaled about $100 and that is when things got unnecessarily unpleasant. The store clerk dismissed me like I was a 2 year old and told me that "the process has changed". When I explained that I need proof for Amazon that my items were indeed returned, he again dismissed me. The issue was and still is the fact that all items show returned in my amazon account, except one. So of course, I insisted for a receipt, which not only I never received, but was told "I will not get one"... again, like I was a 2 year old. This was a disappointing and unpleasant experience, which could have been avoided if the store clerk had any Customer Service skills, or just a basic consideration for me as a human being. When I asked him for his name he wrote it incomprehensibly) when I went to drop off packages from Amazon. I made an appointment to see a notary at this location and the night before my appointment I was called by some schmuck who said that they didn't have a notary at this location because of COVID, so he moved me to another location. However, they couldn't say that there was no notary there on the website- maybe that would look bad?? Traditional UPS store and the one man operator is always friendly and helpful. Location is tricky and parking is frustrating because you have to deal with the main street of Colesville Road. The UPS is situated in between the Hilton Double Tree Hotel and American Apparel. My only qualm is the pricing, which I do not find to be accurate/honest. Apparently, they also accept USPS mails, but the few times I attempted to handle my business there the pricing does not match if I were to take the time to walk into a USPS establishment myself. One instance I was quoted to return a foam filter at $10 from UPS' USPS service, but when I walked into a legitimate USPS location, the charge was only $2. UPS pricing is quite high too, so make sure you get free returns for all of your online shopping needs :) read more

I walked into this UPS store at approximately 4:25pm on 5/20/20. There was one other person in the store with me. I was second in line. The gentleman in front of me just wanted to make small talk. He asked about Robert, a former employee at the store apparently. The clerk threw his former employee under the bus and said his boss said he was underperforming and they let him go. The man then mentioned politics in the store, and how you got to roll with it. The clerk rudely shot him down again and said there's no politics because there aren't that many employees. My turn comes and I tell him I had a package redirected here and I requested it to be dropped off here. He then starts touching my phone after i clearly showed and read the shipping number to him. He then informs me that it's delivered to my house. I then tell him, that I asked for it to be delivered here after submitting a change address request. He then gives me the same attitude that he gave the person before me. I'm not having it, so I just walk out. As I'm walking away, he says "hey chino, chinko!!" I turn around and say, "what did you call me?" He said, Chan! Your last name (i gave him both my first and last name earlier).
