I got there at 5:20pm on a Friday afternoon, with intention of sending a large package off to Washington, clerk seem to be busy no body acknowledged the fact that I have walking in. Never the less, I saw the driver picking up packages for the day, so I looked at the driver and asked if he would be kind to take my package before he left, the girl clerk answered me back saying "No, he can't because he's about to leave". I turned around and told her that I have asked the driver(I know drivers are usually nice with customers and they don't say no) so, this driver raised his voice upset because I told the girl that I have asked the driver and not her, as I know that drivers are usually nice and could have waited 2 minutes to have my package label and ready to go.... read more

I never thought I would have to write a review for a UPS store but here I am ... I've never had a problem with their services, always exceptional. However, DO NOT go to this location in Simi, the lady that works there is so rude and should be fired. She always has an attitude and does not know how to treat customers. Thank god there's another location in Simi. Just left the Simi Valley Police Department. Filing a report on Jeanne Duncan, owner of the UPS, at 1197 E. L.A. Avenue, Simi Valley. She opened my box and took an envelope containing money in it! Jeanne asked me what was in my box, when I was mailing it on 3/14. Thought it was creepy! My Mother Inlaw received her box today. It had been opened, the top Bunny ears head band, tissue paper & card, containing $40.00 were gone! The box had been resealed with packing tape! I went to this UPS office and confronted Jeanne. I told her this is a FELONY! And she said NOTHING! If anyone is missing anything from their boxes shipped by Jeanne, please contact me! I'm going to the Simi Courthouse today, to get the paperwork for a Civil suit. read more

I never thought I would write a review for a UPS Store, but this one is terrible. I went in to make a copy and no one was in. The office was open but lights for only one third on. When I asked why, I was told because it costs around $200 a week to run the lights. The store employee was outside smoking. The entire Place smelled of smoke. It seemed dark dingy and stinky. He took my flash drive and said he would see if he could make the coffee. After maybe five minutes, he came back and suggested that I try FedEx or OfficeMax for another place. He could help me. Super shocked as I would think that UPS would be great everywhere as a chain. But it is not. If you need to do anything beyond shipping don't go here. It will be a waste of time. read more

These people are horrible. The guy was told multiple times by his female co-worker to "Check his attitude" after telling a customer the he didn't care if the package was delivered on time. They charge you for the simplest of things like tape, slight packing and are just generally miserable people. Stupid Simi Valley. read more

I've visited this location twice, and will not be back. The first time, I had a package to return to Amazon that the guy thought wasn't taped well enough. He proceeded to tape it up more, while giving me grief for having to do so. Kept going on about how UPS doesn't pay him to use his tape. The second time, I also dropped off an Amazon return. This time I taped it up just like he had, and he gave me crap about wasting tape. It wasn't even his tape this time. Then he didn't even want to give me a receipt showing I dropped it off, again giving me crap about UPS not paying him to use his paper. This is the cost of doing business. Imagine if grocery stores started charging for receipts or fees for using carts. I wanted to give this location a second chance. Thought maybe the guy was having a bad day. We recently had UPS attempt to deliver a package to our home. Since it required a signature and we were not home the driver kept the package. Instead of attempting to re-deliver the package UPS took it to the UPS store on LA Ave the next day for us to pick-up. My wife went to the store the next day in an attempt to pick-up the package and when she asked for the package the store owner asked her for id. As my wife left her wallet in the car and there was no where on the slip requiring id she said she had to go get her id. While outside retrieving the id the owner had the audacity to speak to another customer stating, "Who thinks they can pick-up a package without id?" What she didn't realize was our daughter was in the store and overheard the conversation. When my wife returned with her id and showed the woman her id the woman looked and found the package was not at the store. Being that she had already been embarrassed by the store owner my wife and daughter left. I went to the store on Monday and asked for the package. After showing the store owner my id she looked for the package and asked if it could be under any other name. I advised her no and when she looked again found the package. Looking at the name on the package she told me it didn't match my id. I advised her i go by my middle name and to look at the address as everything matched. She was still reluctant to give me the package until I mentioned to her the incident with my wife and daughter the past Friday. I do not recommend this store to anyone. I went there a couple weeks ago and found it was under new ownership. The lady who runs the store is rude to everyone including her employees. Her employees helped assisted me during my previous visit and placed my item in a box. She then came from the back and took the item out of the box and placed it in a larger box. I asked her why she did that and she told me it had to be in a bigger box. I then asked her the price difference and she told me the new box was more. The shipping charge would also be more. I told her to put my item back into the smaller box and ship it in that. She became rude with me and snapped at me when asking her questions. As we have always used this store for our shipping needs and never had any issues with the previous owners I don't recommend anyone go there. Use the UPS Store on Madera which have friendly and honest employees. read more

I had never used the pack and ship service before. Just visiting the area, I needed to send an antique lamp to my home out of state. Kevin and Jeanne were so kind and helpful! Kevin gently handled the lamp to assess my options and explained the entire packing and shipping process. He assured me that it would be handled with the utmost care, and thoroughly explained exactly how he would pack it. He was very respectful of the care needed to get it safely to my home in one piece. Jeanne couldn't have been nicer as well, and chatted with me like an old friend. I actually left for a while because I wanted to get a better deal on my mailbox, so I went to the Post office. Big mistake. They (the post office) sent my paychecks back to my vendors. He also was able to package the item I was sending for me which was really helpful because I didn't know what to even do. RUDE !!!!! many of the other UPS Store locations offer Post office drop off as well, but this one does not. That is not the problem if that is their policy. Since The Location on Madera does accept them and so does the one in Thousand Oaks ,I figured this one does too. I was there today and took a priority mail box to drop off. The Older man takes one look at it and with a really bad attitude says oh, you have to take it to the US post office young lady. Basically the way he said it was condescending like I didn't know that it was a priority mail package. I said the location on Madera accepts them, In fact they were the ones who told me they accept postal packages otherwise i would not have known. ,Like the other locations, this one also says postal solutions on the sign. so he starts yelling at me how they don't lug packages for free. Up until that point I was not in the least bit rude, I asked a simple question and was interrupted and yelled at.I don't recommend going there unless you like being abused. read more

Stopped in to ship a 28x28x28" box weighing 100lbs. To my surprise the only scale on premises was a small counter scale. I was told on the phone that due to the size of the box weight was not a factor as long as it was under 170lbs. The item I was shipping weighed 90lbs. so I told the old lady working there it was around 110 to account for packing materials. She told me I must lift the item onto the counter scale for verification. UPS is one of the largest shipping companies in the US but they don't equip their stores with floor scales. What a joke, UPS makes millions but can't afford a scale? That said you would think they would hire staff capable of providing assistance. I end up lifting that package by myself, the other option being I lift it back into my truck. Worst part, the box was within one pound of what I told her. Broke my back for nothing. read more

I've been going to this UPS location many times and for years. I think this store is run by a woman and a man. The woman is pretty much the only one I've dealt with in the past, I'm always very polite to her and she's very nice to me. Whenever I'm shipping something she's always very patient with creating the shipment order for me. But just the other day, I've finally got to experience dealing with that man for the first time. And the man turned out to be a jerk just like many people on here said. When I approached the man, I was very polite and respectful as usual. I've handed him a prepaid UPS package and requested it to be scanned, and also requested for a receipt, which I'm entitled to obtained so that I have proof that I have left the package in UPS's possession and in their responsibility. The man then immediately goes off whining and complaining about why would I need a receipt, that's it's wasting paper and that the paper cost them a lot of money, blah blah blah. This is first time I've experienced a business establishment hesitant to give out a receipt, and it was a important receipt, not as if I bought a pack of gum or something. And regardless if I've made any purchase from them that day or not, they have the responsibility to provide service all UPS packages and customers. Another thing, the customer before me illegally parked in front of this store and I don't see this man going off complaining and whining to that customer! Minus 3-stars for such as unbelievable experience! Left 2-stars because the rest of store shouldn't entirely take the blame that man's unprofessional attitude. This place would have gone out of business a long time go if it weren't for that nice lady! read more
