I went to this store to ship a prepaid return package. I showed the clerk the UPS shipping label on my phone because I had trouble printing it at home. He wanted to charge me $3 to print the label and attach it to the package. I was surprised and asked why? He said that there is a service charge for printing a label, and if I don't want to pay it I need to figure out how to print and attach the label myself. This is not the service I expected from UPS. This place will RIP you off!! I brought in a box that weighed 19lbs was 48x19x8 told the employee that I wanted to ship to AZ. He asked how soon, I said next week some time. He quoted me $173.64! I just about choked on the ship price, but I needed to ship, so I paid. This price seemed really high and when I got home, I went to the company's site and plugged in the parameters. Come to find out he shipped it 3 day select! I did not ask for that, I asked for the cheapest ground, which was $76 and change plus insurance. That would mean that I paid $100 more than I should have paid. The employee NEVER said to me that there was a less expensive way to ship, instead he chose to gouge me big time. I could never trust this place for my shipping needs again, and I have used them a LOT. - I suggest that you locate another U.P.S. store to do business with as they are probably ripping you off and you won't even know it. I had a frustrating experience at this The UPS Store location in Moorpark. I hate to stereo type but the two men behind the counter were either Indiana or Pakistani . I went in to return an item to Amazon, and my app clearly showed that the return was free. My item was in its original packaging and in perfect condition. However, I was told there would be a $9.50 charge. When I politely asked where it indicated there was a fee, and showed the app confirming it was a free return, I was simply told again that it would cost $9.50, without any further explanation. I decided to leave and went to another The UPS Store location in Valencia. There, the associate confirmed the return was free, processed it without issue, and wished me a nice day. I keep trying to return Amazon packages here, and they are wildly inconsistent about what they will accept. one day they won't take it in a box, so I bring it back in an envelope, and they take it. next time I bring the item in an envelope, they won't take it, says it needs to be in a box.... She was returning an item from Amazon at this location and the owner refused to scan the QR code because he was convinced the box wasn't the same box the item arrived in. It was. Rude and disrespectful people working there who are also incompetent. Would not take my Amazon return in its original box - but that was half the issue. The way they both (men) went about it was in the most disrespectful way. I explained that the instructions did not contain anything other than taking the product back to UPS in its original box, which I did. "You misread the instructions," stated one without even looking at the instructions. I offered the instructions to him asking how I did that. "I'm not going to read the instructions," they both went on. "We will not take your return here. You can go somewhere else." After going around in circles a couple of times and the MANSPLAINING abounding on the part of the two employees, without any attempt to actually read the instructions about the return, I left the store. Will NEVER go back there, although it had been my closest neighborhood UPS store before - apparently, before the change of ownership and the drastic change in customer service! tried doing a livescan, and the lady at the counter said i had to print out a certain piece of paper, so i agreed to the $3 charge for the print out. a different person comes out and proceeds to do my livescan. he then turns me to the counter and tries to charge me for the livescan, i explained that i already told the lady at the front that i purchased online and was showing her the ticket number. she doesn't take any accountability for the fact that this should've taken 5 minutes and i have now been here for almost 20. the man was okay, he tried getting me to call customer service but it was not my fault that the employees here did not know the policy or apparently how to read an email. at the end of the day the livescan was done, he called customer service and worked it all out. i would not recommend coming here for a livescan, go somewhere else. the price is cheaper, but u get the customer service you pay for. read more

I needed to return a couple things to Amazon and it directed me The UPS Store. I stopped in on my way home from work and was immediately worried because there were lots of customers inside, and a line to wait in. But amazingly, I only had to wait in line about 2 minutes and the woman behind the counter (one of three) helped direct the people who who needed to help them and make the whole process smooth and efficient. She took my items, scanned my QR code and gave me a receipt. In and out quicker than I had expected and the process was easy. The woman who helped me was very polite and friendly. The store rents PO boxes, sells boxes, packaging supplies, and stationary. Pretty easy to find off the freeway and near the Chevron gas station (in the strip mall behind the gas station). read more

Had a free return from pottery barn (they only use UPS) but had to break down the box as it wouldn't fit in my car. They wouldn't let me use their tape and charged me $7.49 to retape the box (the cost of one of their tapes) using their tape roll. I've used Usps and numerous PO Box annex locations and have never been charged to retape a return box. read more

My experience at the Moorpark UPS store was amazing. Michelle helped complete my LiveScan for my California LCSW license. Michelle was kind, so thorough, and paid very close attention to detail. She walked me through all steps during the scan and explained to me how to check the status on my Live Scan. I feel safe that my application will go through and I would definitely continue to utilize UPS services for fingerprinting live scan as well as for any of my mailing needs. BE AWARE!!! I had dropped off a self-paid UPS letter. My mistake is that I handed to the owner when he was busy and asked if it was okay that I just dropped it off, since, it had a prepaid UPS label. He took it from me and tossed it aside because he was helping a customer. Now fast forward a week later, the recipient never received the legal document. UPS shows that the self-paid UPS label was never scanned. I called the store, the owner was rude and unhelpful. My husband stopped by to see if they would be willing to look around to see if it may have fallen somewhere. The owner was rude and told him it was not his fault, that he scans all packages. We tried to tell him that this was not scanned, but he would hear of it. Have made a complaint to UPS for their franchise store and the Better Business Bureau. All we wanted the owner to do was look around to see if the envelope had fallen somewhere. The owner was incredibly defensive, rude, and unprofessional. Make sure if you drop anything off here, that you watch him scan your package and get a receipt. My BIGGEST mistake. Never have I had a problem with any other UPS store. I was required to return a speaker to the manufacturer for repair - UPS postage prepaid. I paid an additional $38 at this UPS store to "double-box" the speaker to avoid shipment damage. However, they failed to do so, and the unit arrived at the repair depot damaged. It was single-boxed surrounded by bubble-wrap. This is wholly unsuitable for a heavy item and not what I paid for. When confronted, the UPS store manager stated that the speaker had been packaged suitably. I countered that I had paid for "double-boxing". We went to the UPS store to get a live scan which cost more than $100 even though the average cost is around $30. When we had a problem we were told to come back with the info. 3rd trip and nothing was done. Now they want us to pay for a new scan and if it is determined over the next 30 days it was their fault we might get a refund. read more
