I took a large pkg to this store (UPS#6394) to get a quote. I specified no rush, cheapest rate. The clerk measured, weighed and gave a $40 - 45 estimate. I took the pkg home, added tape and labels to the pkg and returned the following day, gave same info. A different clerk said the cheapest rate was $120 and some change. I was shocked. Why so different? I was told the previous clerk measured it wrong. I left, checked online and got a rate of $35 for UPS ground. Took it to a 2nd UPS store and shipped it for $51.58. More than online because of customer service. I understand. I returned to UPS #6394 and complained to the manager. Showed him my receipt. He was apologetic, but acted surprised. Claimed that is the lowest rate his system showed. I think this store only quotes 2nd day air and will not even look at the UPS ground rate. I caution anyone using this store. read more

I used this location to send a package, a USB thumb drive, to my attorney in McAllen. I went to this location on a Friday and paid for Saturday delivery. I paid my attorney to be in the office on Saturday to receive the package. I followed the tracking online most of day and the package was slated for a late afternoon delivery. At about 4:30 pm, the tracking system updated that the package was undeliverable because the location was closed. I called my attorney immediately and she stated that she had been there all day and no one rang the bell or knocked on the door. I called UPS for an explanation and they claimed the driver saw that the business was not normally open on Saturday so he didn't even try to deliver the item. I paid $77 for Saturday delivery. They delivered the package on the following Monday. I have been trying to get a refund because I could have just paid for normal delivery instead of Saturday delivery. The UPS corporate people told me I have to take it up with the store. I have taken it up with the store and was promised a refund; however, it has never happened. I asked my credit card company to look into it and they said since the package was eventually delivered they couldn't refund me either. I am appalled that a business can promise a service, not deliver on that service and then claim that they don't owe you a refund. If I could, I would have rated 0 stars but you have to put at least one. I will not use this location any more for package delivery. read more

Worst place to come to in the morning. Came in for color copies, 10 minutes of internet use, and laminating walked out nearly an hour later and $41 bill. I was charged 7 laminated pages yet I only saw 4 pages laminated because some pictures were small. Sucks when people take advantage, that's not smart business, came here because it was convenient guess I'll have to drive a little further for better service. I usually use USPS or FedEx, but decided to use UPS to get my packages out. USPS was closed. It could have been a bad day for the guy behind the counter, but his service was lacking from start to finish. I walked in and asked which register would he be using and he just stood there like "duh", no answer. I just needed him to get my package out, but this guy didn't smile and it felt like I was interrupting whatever he was doing in the back of the store. Yes, this IS as good as it gets. Sending packages has never been so easy nor such a pleasant experience. For some odd reason, all of the local shipping facilities that I had been frequenting had some sort of hex placed upon them and either shut down or no longer shipped packages. Boo hiss. In dire need of getting a package out quickly, I stopped here several months ago simply because it was convenient and I was in a bind. The first time you walk in, you may be a stranger, but that is the last time that you'll ever feel that way. Abbas goes over and above to help you and also acquaint himself with you (and vice-versa). The next thing you know, your parcel has been sent on its way and you're chatting about local topics and events. The next time you open the door, you are greeted by name. Holy cow! Okay, I'm really starting to like this place. Again, great service, with excellent communication about the delivery of my package. [By the time I get home, I've already received the email with all tracking numbers to follow] This continues for everything I've shipped via this store every time I've come in. Abbas is cordial, efficient and gracious. His staff is equally as polite. I happen to notice during one visit that people are mailing items via USPS; I catalogue that in my memory. Then I have to mail something. Travel about one-quarter a mile down the road from this store to the USPS location on Louetta. Encounter the witches that work there who give me a hard time about: the box I have used, potential contents, my shipping method . . . you name it. GRRR. Darn nasty. Frustrated, I drive to Abbas at the UPS store. Fixes me up in no time, sending it via USPS, but labeling the box for me as it should have been done and working with my shipping method. Today when I needed to mail a few flat rate envelopes, I had the choice to go to the Post Office or here. No brainer! Although, I do have to admit, a quick trip in here is not in the cards -- Abbas and I end up talking local chatter for way too long (which is wonderful!), so I plan on that before I even walk in. Extremely unprofessional and expensive. I went there with my own boxes to return two items to Amazon. For one of them, I couldn't print the shipping label at home because I only had a code which I had to show to the associate for them to scan. Since I didn't have my phone, they told me to use the computer. I printed one paper in total, and was shocked when the guy told me that my total charge was 3. 50 dollars. Upon enquiring, he told me that they charge 1.50 dollars for using the computer and 10 cents per page. Even if this is true, the old brown guy with the beard charged me 1.90 dollars more, just for putting tape to close my boxes. I was disgusted at how greedy he seemed, and he didn't give me an explanation for the two extra dollars. I would recommend you stay away from this place at all cost. read more

The worst customer service of my life! The older man walked away before I finished my sentence. He just walked away nodding no. I asked him what that meant and he said no it won't work. I then asked him well why not? His reply was it has to be a label like this one. I tried to pull the email where it said to pull up to the UPS and they would be able to scan it. In the meantime, he worked in the back. It took three times of me saying excuse me to finally get his attention. I know for a fact he was playing the deaf game. When he finally came back he snatches the phone from my hand to make sure that what I was reading was correct and I wasn't just making up what I was reading and that is what I call he crossed the line. He was pressing all the wrong stuff and he said, see it didn't work. Well duh! If you click that way of course it won't. He was beyond rude and ineffective in doing his job. Save yourself the trouble and drive to the one on 2920. I was in and out in 2 minutes. I'm fixing to call customer service to report him. If it isn't his small business, I feel sorry for the owner. If I could give less than 1 star I would. The UPS delivery driver made a "poor" effort to deliver next day delivery for my package. Did NOT come at the designated time. If the time to deliver is an "approximate", please make your customers aware of that. Instead, I was ripped off for paying $30 for express next day delivery and ended up with my package delivered 2 days late! I definitely would NOT recommend them for next day. Please use FEDEX instead, they offer a better price and have Sunday delivery services to residences now. read more

A big shout out to Abbas, the store manager for helping me with a complex shipment. About 3 weeks ago I was helping a friend in Europe get a new piece of equipment from the US to his small village in Switzerland. Because it supposedly weighed 158 lbs (as per the AWB when it was shipped to me), and it was being shipped from a residence to a residence, and not from a business or to a business, FedEx said they wouldn't touch it at all. So after several days and phone calls to FedEx, UPS and DHL and being quoted prices for shipping that ranged in price from $3,300 to $4,300, AND being told some conflicting information, I decided to call the local UPS store here to see if they could quote a definite price. But mainly I needed help with the logistics of the shipment. This was a very large box on a pallet, and not something I could take in to them or weigh myself. From the moment I contacted the store and I was able to speak with Abbas, he reassured me that he could handle that. I was a little doubtful at first, but he proceeded to take charge, he came by my house to verify the dimensions including the pallet, tested the weight by picking up the box, and said he would make a few phone calls to check with other freight companies he contracts with. Within a day he was able to get the lowest quote that I had been given, which was just under three thousand dollars, and worked with DHL to arrange the shipping. I didn't have to fill out any customs paperwork as he took care of all of that, and he got a contact at DHL to come out ON A SUNDAY to get the box! They handled it carefully, as it was fragile and a high-dollar item, and by the next afternoon, my friend was able to verify that it had arrived at the customs port in Basel, Switzerland. Three hours later he had his box, well marked fragile all over the box, shrink-wrapped very nicely, and in perfect condition. We were both delighted at the quality of service and how fast it was shipped! My friend said it was the best money he had ever spent for service. So, if you are shipping important things for business or for the holidays, don't hesitate to trust Abbas at the Klein UPS, 7312 Louetta Rd, Ste B118, in the HEB shopping center. Interesting visit...it was okay until the end. The guy I presume the manager/owner Abba (he's listed in the picture) tells me that this is a one time service unless I paid or purchased a mailbox at this location. I spoke with UPS and they told me both my packages were eligible to be delivered at this UPS store. I was training for the week near this location and thought it would be easier for me to get them by lunch since my packages have been stolen since I get home late. I see though it was an issue-- so I'll go back to the Champions location where I do most of my shipping--You just lost a potential customer with your subtle slight! Shameful! Be careful if you buy your shipping label online and want to bring it to this place to ship. They apparently do not have the 21st century technology that allows them to locally print a label that was bought online. They will be kind enough, however, to tell you that you can go ahead and print it from the computer there in the store and then after doing so they will tell you that it's $1.60. No, it's not "just understood" that when you tell someone they can go ahead and do something that you're going to charge them for it, or worse way overcharge them for it. And no, it's not "just like FedEx Office." When I take an online purchased label to FedEx they scan the label from my phone, print it and don't charge me to print the label. When I spend $50 on shipping I don't expect to be charged more just to print the label in your store. That is customer no-service at it's worst. Times must be hard for UPS. read more
