The employees at this store scam their customers. I was charged $30 for a printing job that the UPS website said was $14. When I went in to ask about why the price I'd paid was so different, the woman said that it was because I'd used the computer in the store. My receipt was itemized -- $2 for the use of the computer, $27 for the printing job, so her explanation made no sense whatsoever and I can only conclude that they're skimming off the top at the expense of the customer. I will not be returning to this location again. Also, it's worth noting that the woman I spoke with at the UPS Store corporate office said the same person who owns this store owns 7 others in the area, so I'm probably going to end up going to a competitor for future printing jobs. I've been here several times due to work, and all the times i've been here. The service has been bad. The way they talk to you comes off as rude. They try charging you for using their tape? I guess its because its a small store, and prob doesn't get that much business. I walk in and i see that lady i always see. She looks up and walks to the back. ARE YOU SERIOUS? I wait at the counter hoping she'd come back. I saw a dude sitting in the chair using the computer. I thought it was a customer so i didn't ask him. He finally turned and asked how he can help me. I wanted to drop this package off and get a confirmation. I've dropped off a couple of packages before and i've asked for a receipt. They tell me you don't need it. You have the tracking. I of course know the tracking number i'm NOT asking for the tracking. I simply want PROOF that i dropped off this package to you and not that you're just taking this and suddenly it disappears. I don't want to be liable for that. It's like they are super lazy to do it because they have to "scan" it and press a few buttons for the confirmation sticker to print out. That has happened to me twice at this location. I'm sending stuff back for returns and i just wanted to be assure of it. Another time i was dropping off a package for it to be delivered and there was a cut off time. I made it before that like say 10-15 mins, and the truck was outside. The lady goes. It's outside. I'm like WHAT? i'm here to drop it off. She was like yeah the truck is outside, give it to him. GREAT SERVICE.. lol should just leave a sign up "DONT COME IN GIVE IT TO THE UPS DRIVER" unfortunately i'll still have to come here cause it's super close to work, but if its anything personal i won't be coming back here again that's for sure.. read more

Today (8/31/2015) at 11:30 am a male employee refused to give me a drop off receipt. I explained why I needed the receipt and what Amazon drop off policy is and he insisted that they don't give these out and walked away from me. I was about to take my package and leave but another employee, a nice lady, scanned my package and gave me the receipt, which all took 2 seconds and I was out. I've had to make a lot of trips to this UPS store recently due to returns for online orders and although there have been the occasional lines, the employees are very nice and I've never had any problems. It's tucked away at the back of a strip mall and they have lots of parking and late hours for busy people like myself (closed Sunday). Really terrible experience, I wanted to ground shipping a 3 pounds camera to LA and they gave me a quote of $130shipping&insurance+$30packing fee which is really to my surprise cause I didn't ask for air shipping or any rush shipping. Then I went to fedex, they helped me pack my stuff really well and shipping+insurance+packing+tax total is $40. So I really doubt do people work in this ups know what they are doing for their work? Worst customer service. All they are trying to do is to get your money. Won't accept your package with a dent, they'll sell you a new one ($20!!) or make you go to the real UPS location (yes this is just an agency). Need a bit of tape? Why they'll sell you a roll ($8!! The manager Linda was super rude to me and my mother. I told her that her responsibility is to behave respectfully and give good customer service and she threatened me that she would refuse to do my service as if there is only one UPS store in the whole area. I don't know why there's so many bad reviews! I love this ups store, Linda always helps me when I've come unprepared. I have a tough schedule so I always end up there near closing but she always helps me and is patient when I don't know or have a piece of info she needs. When I needed to return my pieces for AT&T, I didn't have the account number because the nice lady who cancelled my service failed to mention I would need that... also, once you cancel your service there is no proof on the at&t login that you even had an account.... so! I had to find an old email from them containing the account number. I get distracted... but my real story of satisfactory service is that Linda let me leave the pieces there and took my information so that I could call her with the account number and not have to come all the way back to the store. Had a bad experience at this UPS store.. utterly detestable. I went in to send an item back to Amazon with a QR code scan, which was easy enough. Then came my next task which was printing out a one page email. Their computer did not work, so an older woman with short hair (manager and notary named Linda) ordered some young guy to fix it. It wasn't going to work within a half an hour or so, I presumed. Linda the notary then told me to email her what I needed to have printed, so I did. I waited about 5 minutes and she said "nope, no email". Then I tried sending the email again and she basically ignored that I was there waiting. She was totally unapologetic about nothing working nor did she actually try to troubleshoot the problem. The other guy at the opposing cash register stared at me weirdly as if he wanted me to leave or maybe he was just spacing out.. not totally sure. When I was looking at the mailers as I waited he came over and said a few words, touching the mailers. At one point I noticed this guy cursing at the card reader and computer silently to himself. Since nothing worked I walked out thanking them. Neither of them said a word to me apologizing or acknowledging me. It was strange, weird, and sad. I'm never coming back to this location and I would not recommend it for its apathetic manager and notary who doesn't care about its customers. AVOID! read more

I called this place when I found out my guaranteed next day air mail was being delayed two days, and I had the worst experience talking to their store manager. I was upset because I missed the important deadline due to the delayed delivery, and would have expected an apology and explanation of what could have happend and what they can do to fix the situation as soon as they can. Instead, I was met with reponses from the store manager such as "it's your responsibility to check the status" "we're closing soon, we will call you tomorrow" "UPS made a mistake, not us." And also what I can only describe as grunts of disgust as I expressed my anger and frustration about the whole situation. The best way to get in and out of this place is to come with your package ready to go, like drop it off and run. This place is a major rip-off. I had a package that I wanted to send. I went to the UPS website to get an estimate of the cost to ship it, which was $21. When I went to this store and asked them to ship it, they told me it would be $45! When I asked for a breakdown of the price to figure out the discrepancy, I was told that it cost $5 per $100 of declared value. However, according to the UPS website, it costs $0.90 per $100 of declared value. When I pointed this out, the employee rudely told me that if I wanted that price, I'd have to go to the UPS owned facility in another part of Sunnyvale. I understand that this is an independently owned franchise, but if UPS is going to put their name on something and call it the UPS Store, you'd think it would be the best place to send a package via UPS, right? Nope. If you want to send a package via UPS and not get ripped off, then you should not go to the UPS Store, you must go to a UPS owned facility. I ended up taking my package to the post office, where they sent it with tracking and insurance for $23, as opposed to the $45 quote at this store. Avoid this place for sending packages, unless you've got a pre-paid label. read more

I needed to return a TV to amazon, and they were very helpful! Since I had the original box but asked the UPS folks to do the re-packing/taping, they just charged me $5 for labor. Store clerk refused to print a receipt for package drop off. I called UPS to complain and was basically told that each franchise is independently owned and do not have to follow UPS procedures. Curses to Yelp for making one star the minimum rating. More accurately though, curses to this UPS Store for having zero customer service skills. I needed to pick up a few boxes. This store had a few boxes. I selected the correct size boxes for my boxing needs. Now, in a perfect world, one might anticipate that I would then purchase the boxes, take them home, and fill them with the crud that needed to get boxed. That's where this UPS Store gets jiggy with it. The sole employee, a middle aged woman, continues her obviously personal phone conversation that she's having at the register. I stand near the register, stupidly thinking that at some point she might acknowledge me and get the boxes I need, as they are apparently behind the counter. Instead, she choose to delve deeper into her fascinating conversation. Here are snippets of what I remember from it: "When are you coming out?", "Good", "Oh", "Yes", "Are you getting big?", "Good, I thought you might be getting big", "Uh-huh", "Yeah, that's good", "No, I should really go help this customer before he just gets pissed and leaves." Try to guess which one I just made up. I was tempted to kick over the trash can on my way out so that she'd actually have to do some work that day, but that crosses some sort of boundary that I'm not completely comfortable with. Turns out U-Haul has better boxes, more boxes, and slightly better customer service. Kind of. They do have better boxes though. read more

There's a better UPS store very close by, don't recommend this one for anything! We arrived ten minutes before they opened and at ten minutes past opening time still no one. Few more minutes someone shows up and says she'll open shortly when she's ready. We see her hanging out drinking coffee, talking on the cell then finally opens. When she did open she just walked away leaving us standing up front. She had no clue, rude, unfriendly and simply didn't care. We walked out not completing our transaction. I've been there many times because it's the closest UPS. All the workers have been rude. The guy who works there won't acknowledge you but instead will continue playing with his tablet or phone. He always refuses to give you a receipt for a drop off so you have to ask him multiple times even when you tell him that you are dropping off something expensive. Worst UPS store I have ever been to, DO NOT GO HERE for NOTARY there is the guy name ALI who claims to be a Notary and does not know how to Notary even a simple Passport form......When asked to correct his mistake he would not do it and we lost time and money because of his attitude and incompetence. Friendly and informative service. Well, I'm definitely biased, seeing as I've lived around here all of my life. I've come here to ship items to a friend in Maryland, and also come here for the cute little animal cards and I always got great advice. I learned not to ship with duct tape (because it's not always as well sealing against moisture as plastic tape) and to never use brown paper (since it rips, and then who knows where your box goes). They seem to do a bit of everything here, and I can understand why Jeff might've had a bad experience. They're always concerned about my item, and yes it is upselling when they offer a better box and more protective materials, but sometimes it's worth it when I think of all the poorly packed things I've received in pieces, or missing pieces! My favorite clerk was always there in the late afternoon, and she was always willing to help out with packing, give good advice and have a friendly conversation to make the time pass easier. I don't believe she's working there anymore, but there was also a nice woman named Tammy who was very efficient and knew how to get you in and out of the store. It seems to be fully female employed! Unfortunately, if you're there on a day when the girls are out, the substitutes are not always as compotent. Another fun thing is the bakery , and Tuesday Morning right next door. You can pop in the store, grab a gift and ship it off within a half hour! read more

Results: I got fast, friendly service here from a professional young lady as other delivery people and customers were going about their business. They would not accept a prepaid first class USPS box as well as a UPS box. Other locations have accepted USPS packages as a courtesy.

Damn this place is bad :( well I guess I shouldn't phrase it that way, the store itself is fine it's just the employees that are awful. To be honest, I don't have high expectations from any UPS Stores, FedEx locations, etc. but this really sets a new low. Every time I have been to this location, all of the workers have been incredibly rude. Also heads up - this UPS Store doesn't take USPS packages. I was confused since they have taken them before, even at this location. When they informed me of this on my latest visit, I said "No problem, do you know if there is a post office nearby?". An elderly lady behind the counter (I think the manager or owner?) started laughing and said "maybe". I don't think she was being rude but it was just such an odd interaction after they had already been dismissive when I arrived.
