First of all, the customer service was terrible. The staff here did not greet customers when they were walking into the door. Secondly, they did not care about customers concerns or complaints. The lady owner was rude and unprofessional to refuse service or return. So here is my experience with this UPS store... I walked into the store simply asking for help to find a box for shipping but they took my item and packed it for me without my permission or giving me the price first. I felt very uncomfortable to complain because it was just a box. However, they packed my item with an oversized box and sealed it with more than 85% of popcorns and 9 large sheets of large bubble wrap for a small household coffee maker. It was not necessary to use the 18" x 18" x 18" box to pack a small coffee maker. They charged me $33 for just shipping material. After everything was sealed that I was not able to open the box and remove coffee maker out of the box. The UPS franchise staff quoted me $95 for shipping to MN. The shipping total cost was way more than the price of the coffee maker. So I asked politely for a refund of shipping material and refused to ship from this store but they have refused to provide refund and asked for 20% restocking fee if the shipping material was not used. (Which in my case it was used by the Staff at the store). I never touched any shipping material until the box was sealed for shipping which I never requested since I walked into the store. They made it seem like it was my fault and refused return service. So I ended up with a $33 overpriced shipping materials which would only cost less than $10 at target stores. I also asked if there was any cheaper ways to ship from other carriers and the staff (a girl wore tank top, very unprofessional) told me that USPS would cost more than UPS ground shipping which was not true because the staff did not give me specific price. I called USPS and UPS to compare pricing later it was way less than what the UPS store staff quoted me. The entire experience at this location was a nightmare. I would never go back to this store again and I will never recommend this store to anyone. This is the worst experience I had so far with customer service. Either UPS corporation didn't train this franchise staff correctly on how to take care its customers or this is the UPS store owner training to its staff. I hope everyone who read this post will save themselves the headache to deal with this UPS store staff and services in the future. They just lost a loyal customer for good. Maybe the owner of this store will read my post and respond professionally without any misspelled vocabulary as previous posts and excuses. I can understand the language barrier but being unethical and unprofessional to your customers just because you are the store owner doesn't mean you should be rude to your customers. I hope this is a wake up call for the UPS franchise store owner to understand how to conduct business professionally and ethically or I am just wasting my time here writing this long review. However, I do have the time to file complaint to the Better Business Bureau. If the UPS corporation allow unprofessional franchise to operate business like this will definitely affect its public image and give bad tastes to its customers. I highly recommend UPS corporation to carefully review this store locations business activities and customer complaints and make changes accordingly and up to UPS service standard. I don't think this business location deserve any stars at all but yelp only allow me to post my review with at least one star. read more

There was a couple of customers ahead of me and I was very impressed how efficient Rocio was in acknowledging my presence and politely told me someone would be with me shortly. I needed documents scanned to my email as well as copies of these documents. Daisy was very helpful and friendly thru this process, which sometimes you don't see this kind of service at other stores. THIS IS NOT A real UPS Store! I had a limited time on my lunch hour to send a package using a recipient's UPS account number. I was told that the location does not accept account numbers and was given instructions to a UPS location in Anaheim to take my package. Since I didn't have the luxury to travel another 15 minutes, I argued that the location should not have "UPS" in the name if it doesn't honor UPS account numbers. I was told that in the past, UPS charged the location because the location was recording inncorect/wrong account numbers, which is a clear indication that it's a management problem that they can not control valid and invalid account numbers. Their solution is to send customers to Anaheim to use account numbers. This is more of an inconvenience, and reflects poorly on the management. I suggest to avoid this location all together. I won an Ebay item that a Gentleman was only Pick up but he was willing to ship . He dropped off the item and this place packed it and shipped it out. This place was wonderful and very helpful. It seems every time I visit this store I have to keep my hand on my wallet. The reason being the workers are always looking for ways to extract every last dollar from me. Most recently I was shipping an overnight letter and I was told the price before we started on the paperwork. I agreed to the cost so we moved ahead --- only to hear that the cost was higher. I reminded the worker of the original price so she "fixed" the error. However, she did it AGAIN before the transaction was done (I can understand the first time being an error but the 2nd time seemed intentional). I did get the original price but it felt like I had use negotiating skills usually reserved for a car dealer. Also, during this same visit, I purchased a book of stamps for $14.00. Since I was in a hurry and didn't have time to go to the post office (less than a mile away) I paid for it. On later did I make do the math to learn this UPS store had a 43% markup on a book of stamps that would have cost $9.80 at the post office. I'm fine paying for a convenience of not going to the post office but a 43% increase seems greedy. In short, I'm done with any more shipping at this place. I'm done with the poor customer service (including any basic sense of friendliness) and the feeling I get that I'll be paying a fortune for the privilege of using their services --- when there are so many more options just down the street. I realize this is a UPS franchise but it certainly leaves a bad taste in my mouth with the UPS brand. read more

Rosio at this UPS store is awesome! She was professional, helpful and courteous. I needed to pack and ship a large breakable item with prepaid service from Chairish. There was some confusion with the details of what was included but she made sure to get the correct info. She took extra care to pack the item carefully and was kind enough to let me take a photo after it was packed, before it was sealed up. Great service! read more

I am a frequent customer of this UPS Store and felt I needed to post this review especially since I witnessed this customer ranting yesterday, wanting to return packing material. I was very surprised of how patient the owner was, she explained that given the fragility of the item, this type of packaging is required by UPS. She tried to calm the customer down but the customer was very rude and honestly the box seemed like it was used. If I were the owner I wouldn't have taken it back. The location does have two reserved sports for the store's customers. But when you are here when it's busy, good luck trying to find a a spot. It's okay though. Today I had some of the worst customer service that I have experienced in quite a long time, I would give 0 stars if that were an option. I came in to mail a gift to my brother-in-law out of state. I asked the employee who greeted me, Daisy, for the most inexpensive option to mail my package. She got out a 12x12 box and placed my items in the box. She asked for the address, input the information and then informed me my package would cost $35 to ship. This seemed much more expensive than I had ever paid to ship a package to my brother-in-law so I asked if maybe there was a less expensive way to send it. Daisy asked if it was ok with me to cut the box to make it smaller and therefore less expensive. I said sure. She cut the box and the items still fit just fine. The price did go down to $28 by doing this. I then asked why we couldn't just try the 10x10 box because it appeared that my items would surely fit into that smaller box without a problem. Daisy now informed me that we could do that but that I would have to pay $6 for the 12x12 box that she had now cut in addition to the 10x10 box for $5 and the shipping for the 10x10 box which would be less than the $28 for the cut 12x12 box. I was now very frustrated to be informed for the 1st time that there was an additonal fee for the box and that I would be charged for a 2nd box even if I was not going to use the box. Daisy had at no time previously informed me of this policy nor had she included the box fee in the quote she had 1st given me. I explained that she hadn't informed me of this previously and she then had the audacity to tell me that was my fault for being on my phone. In fact, I was not on my phone at all other than to look up the address while she typed it in to the computer. I decided at this point to just go ahead and buy the $6 box that she insisted I had to buy rather than argue with Daisy out of respect for the line of customers that had now developed behind me. Had there not been a line, I certainly would have asked to speak to a manager to complain. I purchased the box only and left to the local post office. They provided excellent customer service and were able to guarantee delivery of my package by Monday compared to delivery with UPS which had stated my package would not arrive until Thursday. In addition to the faster delivery time, the post office also only charged me $18 total. I will not ever be returning to ship at UPS. This was a horrible experience. read more

I come here for all my shipping needs. i have a small business that i run from home, and with out this store i would be lost. its like having my own little shipping dept. for nothing. One day i made some copies of some important items. i must of left them in the copier and just never thought i lost this document. When i realized almost a 2 months later that it was missing I came back to the UPS store and asked if they found any thing. The management had kept that document safe and returned it to me. awesome. This place is a total ripoff. They charged me $6 for a small box that would have cost $2.50 anywhere else. And then they charged $4 for what looked like about a gallon of peanuts which I didn't even need. They just packed it up without asking and charged $10. This store is attractive and clean and offers quite a few services. However, parking is a problem and I had to park in a distant area of the lot and make several trips back and forth from my car to the store. When the employee gave me an estimate of the packing and shipping cost, it was so high I drove home to get peanuts and boxes from my garage. When I returned a few minutes later, he had thrown away the temporary boxes I had transported the items in and said they were irretrievable! When he tallied the total cost, even though I supplied my own boxes and some peanuts, it was higher than he had quoted if I purchased their boxes and used all their peanuts! In addition, he never mentioned there is a 5% discount for AAA members! A week later when I went to the UPS store at 3419 E. Chapman in Orange, the owner mentioned there is a 5% AAA discount on shipping. If the employee at the Newport Avenue store had so advised me, I could have saved $5. I checked with the Newport Ave store and they do indeed extend the 5% discount but apparently the customer has to request it. read more

We've used their services for over 10 years. It's a safe place to receive mail. Their package notification system is very helpful. They are friendly. I can call any time and they are happy to check to see if a specific package has arrived. When I come in they are quick to attend to any of my needs. Whoever posted (possibly the owner or employee of the UPS store) to rant on customer only shows dishonesty. There was only one white male customer in the store while the box was being returned and his name was not Geeta. If this is how you respond to your customers honest reviews. It doesn't make you or your business look any better. I was asking for the return politely but the owner refused the return service. However, let me make it clear for you. The box was used in reusable condition but it was not packed by me or anyone else. Just because you are the owner of the business doesn't give you the right to treat your customers badly. This is not a Corporate UPS store...this is a retail franchise. I sent a very important package out of this store only to have the package arrive NEXT DAY, COMPLETELY empty. That's right...somewhere between me dropping it off and it getting dropped off, someone carefully opened the box, removed the contents, re-sealed the box and proceeded to drop it off empty. Horrible horrible service if you ask me from "Big Corporate". Every time I see a Big Brown Truck now I want to start arguing and cursing out the driver. They're all scammers. When I opened the claim and investigation...it was just another day for UPS...apparently this goes on frequently. They refused to replace the contents of my package (tho I provided them with sufficient receipts) because I didn't buy their "insurance" which is "for my protection". If you ask me, that insurance is there for their f*ck ups, to cover their ass!!! So far, they have been NO help. I feel completely taken advantage of. I will never use this store again for ANYTHING and I will almost never use UPS unless I absolutely have to. Fedex/USPS is the way to go. The truth is, none of their care about the customers...it's all about the bottom line but at least USPS won't look you in the face while they're bending you over! This UPS store did reimburse me the obligatory $100 coverage and the $158 I paid for the shipping. That's it, now their brushing me off. (i wasnt blamed them at all at this time) Yesterday i went there tried to find the reason why, its actually their staff forgot to type the apt Number as the part of this shipping address into the computer, and the telephone # i writed on the UPS form is 139, the guy typed 391 into the computer, a double mistakes made by UPS staff. OKKK., it happened, so i trying to get some help, i looking for their manager, here comes a mid-Eastern lady says their staff had let me recheck the informations they typed in, (another words, u want me to check every work you did?) lollll, i actually fixed the first mistake they made like: pudong they typed. pudohg,, after they fixed this pudong correctly, i wasnt expect they forget to put the APT number into their computer as the number clearly(5-302) on the yellow customer copy. the only thing pissed me off is actually this mid-Eastern lady, (manager) is keep saying they leted me recheck their computer, ,OKkkkkk. which means that is a great excause for ur staffs to make mistakes, like 139 became 391 into ur computer, btw, this package i dont know where it went., this manager gave me this kind of shittt attitude to me, i wish i could give 0 star to this helpless mid-eastern manager, how come u r the manager? read more
