This UPS Store is not my usual one to go to because it is a bit out of my way. However I serendipitously ended up here one day when attempting to ship a large, bulky package and the UPS store I was first at said they could not ship it. They said that the contents would be destroyed if I tried. I ended up calling the Vista UPS Store, and, lucky for me, Reshma answered the phone. She was so knowledgeable in packing and shipping methods and willing to take her time to help me that she convinced me to come in to her store. Thanks to Reshma, that afternoon the package was on its way, and it arrived in absolutely perfect condition on the other side of the country just days later. Don't come here if you're in a hurry or hoping for a "quick Amazon drop off" I've tried this location on two separate occasions - one time the lady working was on a personal cell phone call discussing what sounded like home upgrades, saw me waiting and proceeded to not help me so I walked out (while being the only one in the store), next time I showed up a few mins prior to open, lady shows up at 8:03, waited for her to open the store and she told me I would have to wait 5-10min for the computers to get working. I feel so bad for her. That has to be very stressful and very frustrating when working alone or handling customers that need extra understanding. And she handles it sooooo well. Horrific experience from store 6992 Vista CA. the woman who works there has zero customer service savvy. she is condescending and extremely disrespectful. she has no patience whatsoever. if I never go there again, it's too soon. I understood the difference between the QR Code provided by Amazon and the instructions when a QR Code is not available and instead instructions for customer to print the label and adhere to the package. The woman proceeded to let me know that the QR Code label comes out of a different machine and it is free of charge and the instructions to print a label are the responsibility of the customer, but for $3.25 she would print the label. She proceeded to hold up two examples of return boxes one with a QR Code label and one with a printed label. Good luck with the rudeness and condescending attitude that's the face of your business. I frequent this location for Amazon returns and have also used them to ship items out (on my dime). I've never had any issues. It's not cheap but it is convenient since they are so close to home. These days I don't mind spending a little more if it means I have more free time. I'm usually in and out of there fairly quick. If I ever have to wait it's because a customer is trying to figure out the QR code with Amazon. Staff is helpful when you have questions. Overall, I would recommend them. read more

There is a petite woman with short dark hair and glasses who works at this store and every time I go in, she makes my experience so hostile and uncomfortable. She is extremely rude, condescending and her customer service is just terrible. I get anxiety every time I have to go to the store. She takes her anger and frustration out on the customers and it's extremely unprofessional. She always talks down to the customers for things that aren't even their fault. Today was the last time I attempted to do something at this store. I walked in this morning and she was on the phone with her bank, clearly doing something personal, not work related and shocker...She was upset and yelling on the phone so immediately my gut told me this is not going to be a great experience. I needed to write a quick note to put in my package before I shipped it off and there was no pen and I tried to get her attention and she ignored me so I went to the shelf and I just used one of the pens that you guys had for sale and then I put it back. At this point, some more people came in so I got in line and was 3rd or 4th in line. In the middle of helping a customer, she cuts them off and decided it would be a good idea to call me out for using that pen. I simply explained to her I'm sorry there was no pen for me to use and I couldn't get your attention if you need to go ahead and charge me for that pen and then she continue to argue with me and went on some Tangent about how now it's a return and at that point I cut her off and I just said you know what your customer service is atrocious and I took my things out of the box and I walked out because at this point I feel like I'm getting harassed. every time I go into that store and she's working I get really bad anxiety because I'm afraid she's just gonna use me as her emotional punching bag as she always does. My husband just took in an Amazon package of lights in the original box it was shipped in w/instructions from Amazon and he dealt w/a girl who was rude and dismissive who insisted it wasn't correct. She kept saying "you have to put it in a box" so my husband showed her the instructions, showed her what to do and when she printed the shipping label out, was miffed that he was correct and she had been wrong. I hate this store so much. It's closest to my house so it's convenient, but every time I come here, they are rude and extremely persnickety about every little thing. They charge me a dollar for taping things, and their prices are always exorbitant. For example, they don't just charge by weight but the size of your package as well meaning the length and width and height. So if you get a standard envelope, they're going to measure it every time to see how much the height of your object is in addition to the weight and charge you for that. I don't understand it. I've never had that happen before and I ship a lot for business. The rules here always change and I can never keep up. Maybe that's bc there is always a new staff on board each time I come in, and then the lady that has worked here forever is always harping on me. The last time I shipped a 1.5 ounce package in a standard bubble wrap envelope they charged me $16!! Ridiculous. read more

Customer service depends on who is working. Sometimes it's good and sometimes the lady who I think is the owner is kinda rude and pressures me to just leave the package without getting a receipt if it's busy. Don't leave the store without the amazon dropoff receipt because that's your proof that it was dropped off. read more

Customers who are coming in for Amazon returns beware! This ups store will not pack and ship a return if the qr code says no box no label. So double check your qr code. Employees were very rude when I showed that the instructions from Amazon said that they will pack and ship the return for free. read more

I was here 2 weeks ago and the lady in charge was so kind. I was mailing a large envelope with cooking magazines to my mom. She explained to me that if I wasn't in a hurry, and since it was an envelope , she could weight my envelope and I could send it with stamps. It cost 9$ I was very pleased with her advice and my opportunity to save money. I sent my husband in there today with the same size envelope with 2 magazines in there for my mom and she charged him 28$. When he got home I asked my husband if they weighed it and did stamps,? he said he asked and she said they didn't do stamps that this was a UPS store , not a post office. I drove back with our receipt and talked to the lady and she remembered helping my husband and told me he specifically asked for "UPS ground shipping, " a lie. I asked why she didn't help him like she helped me. She then said next time I come in we could do stamps . A said I felt she took advantage of my husband and a 20$ overcharge was a reason not to ever go in there again. I actually work in this shopping center and I live in this town. I see our customers all over . If my boss asked us to treat our customers like this I would not be able to hold my head up when I run into our clients. I always come to this UPS location and I have never had a bad experience with the employees here. The Manager, Reshma, has always been very helpful and has always provided friendly customer service. Even when there are a lot of people in line, she helps as many people as efficiently as possible. She is mindful about what is being shipped and makes the best recommendation so that the goods are not damaged during the shipment process. Compared to other UPS locations, this is the best one I've been to. For the most part, I make my Amazon returns here, and the process has always been easy and straightforward. I have never had issues with anything shipped out of this location. As for the notoriety service, Reshma is also thorough about what is required to proceed in less straightforward instances. I can't comment on service provided by other employees as I have rarely been assisted by others. But seeing the manager working the public facing role, at times alone, to me, shows character. read more
