Anyone with any merit can see that these covid lockdowns are arbitrary and meant to keep freedom loving citizens living in a state of fear and with that in mind I write this review. Kendall County has always been smart in ignoring the foolish governor's lockdown edicts. But today for the first time I was told "no mask then no service" by the manager of our local UPS store. I had to run back to my car in the freezing snow to get a mask and once I got back inside the lady that was behind me without a mask was holding her knit sweater over her face and got service. The manager thanked her for putting on a "mask". How ridiculous is that to send me back to my car and then help the woman behind me holding a sweater over her face. The governor's edict is not a law, and you cannot continue to step on our freedoms without consequences. Stop following this idiot governor Pritzker! I will stop using UPS until you change your policy requiring masks to receive service. I will not spend my hard earned money at any company or business that requires mask wearing in order to be served. I found out the UPS Store at 472 N Rte 47 Ste F Sugar Grove, IL 60554 (630) 777-3040 I spoke with the owner today and he assured me they are not forcing their customers to wear the "mask". So I called the store and asked how much for document shredding. The man in the store said it was a dollar per pound so I made an actual appointment. Today I dropped off 87 pounds to be shredded. They charged me $2.59 a pound. They only told me the real price after I threw almost 90 pounds of paper into the bin. Not only is this not good business. this is lying, cheating and stealing from their customers. Avoid this store at all cost as they are not honest people. read more

i had sold a delicate instrument and bought a label on ebay, valued at over 1200$ decided to pay a professional company to package it for shipping(ups store). package did not arrive safely and wound up getting rejected and returned to me in 4 additional pieces. i filed dispute with ups which returned a letter stating that the store did not properly package my item and stated what they did wrong. i have reached out to the store and the owner of the franchise. manager just gives the basic answer of i didnt by the label from them so theres nothing they can do, they wouldnt let me buy insurance since i didnt buy the label from them. i then sent a letter to the franchise in hopes to reach the franchise owner since the manager would not give me his boss, and have not had any contact made or attempt to remedy the situation and have not been refunded for the packaging charge. i am still hoping that mr. mangione will remedy the actions of his employees read more

Worst experience ever at a UPS store and by far the worst experience since Covid anywhere. The manager was not wearing a mask and was very rude. While Illinois is in a state mandate to wear masks not one sign on their door or anywhere inside stating masks were required. No sanitizer or precautions being taken. They aren't even pretending to try to care. Go anywhere but here to ship. It may save your life. read more

It's unreal how different two of the same stores are just miles apart from each other. During Covid-19 When businesses are trying to keep their doors open, and trying to keep people safe the Yorkville UPS store doesn't seem to really care. Not a single one of their employees wear masks I see no hand sanitizer anywhere even though they are constantly handling packages and I see no safety precautions in place for their customers. All very telling. Pair that with terrible customer service even before the virus and I will take my business elsewhere. The Oswego location is hands down a better experience. read more

I've always had a pleasant experience when I frequent this shop. Kim is always knowledgeable, sweet and friendly. I met the owner on my last trip in here a week ago. He was very nice and we had a nice chat annoy his business. He seems to be a unicorn among business owners these days; equally valuing customer service AND his employees. read more

The Yorkville UPS store does not even deserve one star. The small enclosure offered no precautions for protection during COVID. When questioned about this, the employees/manager were rude and uncaring. No masks, no protective screen, no social distancing provisions. I will never patronize this establishment again even when public health is no longer an issue. read more

Two employees standing by the counter, neither one of them had a mask on and no mask in site, no hand sanitizer, no plexiglass barriers on the counter...I will not be returning to this store for sure. Very poor service, attitudes and unreliable. Sometimes closed during business hours, they don't answer the phones but their mailbox is full and the message doesn't even acknowledge that you've called the UPS store. My wife went in last week and was the only one in the store- the woman behind the counter was on the phone and huffed "I'll call you back, I've got to get rid of this lady". Last time I was there the guy behind the counter scanned a couple of packages then tossed them into a pile several feet away without regard for potential damage. read more

If I could leave zero Stars I would. This UPS Store is a joke. It is October of 2020 there is still a mask mandate in the state of Illinois. Blond lady whom I believe is the manager was not wearing a mask. There's no sanitizer in that store. They have stickers on the floor to keep people 6 feet apart but I don't understand why they're not taking the additional precautions. This is a small store and when I left just now there was 9 people in what couldn't have been more than a 20 square foot radius. I've been in the store in the past and every time I always have issues and the service is incredibly rude, slow and inwilling to help. GO TO OSWEGO LOCATION! This location will not take the time to help you out if something goes wrong on UPS's end even though they can. long story short package I sent out was sent to the wrong sort facility which delayed arrival (on a time sensitive shipment). Mistakes happen I get it.. UPS customer support said to contact the UPS store.. I did. The kid answering the phone passed me along to his manager (which I appreciated) however this lady was 100% unwilling to help out and was even rude. I had this exact issue arise (package sent to the same wrong sort facility) a few months prior and the guy at the Oswego UPS store actually fixed the problem for me, he called his contacts at UPS and told me they would call me back with the info.. which they did. Yorkville UPS store was actually unwilling to even take the time to call and help out.. and the lady just gave me the generic UPS number ...terrible customer service and they obviously do not appreciate your business as they are not willing to take the time out for you when they CAN. Take your business to someone who cares. Oswego for me here on out. read more

Paid over $130 to have critical business hardware shipped next day air to Missouri. Package didn't even leave Illinois until 3am the day it should have been delivered. Stopped at the store and was told they would call with an update on when it would arrive, still waiting. Do not use for time critical deliveries. Stick with FedEx. read more
