I love that Peaceful Peacock advertises that it is a safe haven for all races, genders, LGBTQ+, and abilities. I also love that they are constantly running deals and specials that make yoga affordable for just about anyone. They even allow you to pay weekly if you want to have a membership. (Invaluable info for people who live paycheck to paycheck and want to improve their physical and mental health here.) They offer chair yoga and are ramp accessible. One of my closest friends is wheelchair bound for life and I notice whether places are accessible everywhere I go because of her. The studio is beautiful and welcoming and mirror-free. Who wants to think about how you look when trying to unplug from the world and recharge? Not this girl. All the instructors are wonderful and I always leave feeling happier and more at peace. They have a variety of classes every day of the week and even offer classes for moms and kids! Daytime, evening, and weekend classes gives us so many options that fit our schedules! My favorites are Vinyasa with Sarah, the owner (who is amazing!), Hatha with Robin, Gentle with Violette, and of course Happy Hour Flow with Michelle or Tori!! All of the other teachers are exceptional, too! The space is totally devoted to yoga and features a large main studio and a smaller intimate studio for private and smaller classes. They have several sizes and thicknesses of bolsters as well as blocks, straps, blankets, and sandbags so that you can fully explore the use of props in your practice without having to lug along all your own gear. The studio is clean and aesthetically very zen! The VERY best thing about Red Sun is the spirit of hospitality and community they provide for all who practice there! First and foremost I see they are very strict on time so make sure you don't lose out on your money. I believe I got there a little over a minute or two and as soon as I came through the door I was checked in by the instructor and she pretty much gave me a very short intro of hi and have you done Vinyasa before? I replied yoga yes but not much of an expert. After that front door was locked so no one could enter during which I was instructed to place my belongings and shoes in the cubby. We then went into a small room due to event taking place in the main larger room that day. It was a tight spaced room but we pretty much fit just by the mark. The class were on a more advanced level and positions moved very quickly. I miraculously kept up for the most part but my wrists aren't that strong so had to alter some of the positions sometimes to cater to that. I for sure got some heat in and lil sweat so the work out was definitely there and appreciated. I do enjoy some good stretch's as well which it had some but more of a combined mix of balancing, standing, and dog ward down with it. I would have love to go to a gentle class to see if I can really can commit and since it's more at my yoga level. I can see this is def my cup of tea its just the steep membership prices has me contemplating.

The first…read morehalf of the class was a nice and gentle introduction into Yin yoga followed by a restorative sound bowl relaxation half. Having been out of practice of yoga for about two years, give or take, this was a great way to get back in practice. Fast forward to today, and I attended the Mat Pilates class today and it was far more high intensity and high energy. This class was more challenging but it was a really good work-out. The instructors for both classes were super sweet. My only suggestion (and this is because I am used to how things were in the previous studio I use to attend years ago) is that it would be great to be shown modified versions of various exercises - especially if mobility issues plays a factor. I would also appreciate posture correction or assistance in getting into the correct posture for certain exercises I'm less confident in or not quite sure how to perform properly. Beyond that, I truly like this studio. I am looking forward to going to more and more classes here because they offer such a great variety of classes.

There is a no phone policy in the yoga room, so it's the perfect hour to disconnect and recharge and get in a good yoga session. There are assigned spots when you book, but if it's not a full class, they can often be flexible and move your spot around to be near a friend. I love it here!
