Excellent food and great music. Wish we could give more than 5 stars!! Clean and pleasant atmosphere.

When we moved to Blackstone Valley we knew that the one of the things we would miss the most would be the presence of a great coffee and bagel spot. Well cry no more, for the Valley Bean hath cometh! Right off of rt16, diagonal from the CVS , is this small corner shop. Parking in front is tight, but go around back and there are a few more spots. VB is warm, clean and full of light and the sweet sweet smell of delicious carbohydrates. There are s few small tables and a counter so that you may sit and enjoy your munchies in-house, but I can imagine that this place fills up quickly. We took our order "to-go": - marbled bagel with sausage egg and cheese - onion bagel with lite veggie cream cheese - medium hazelnut coffee (hot) - medium butternut coffee (iced) == $12 Let me just tell you that everything was deeeeelicious. My onion bagel: toasted perfectly: crisp on the outside and still fluffy and warm on the inside. There are a few things that they're still working out....but the atmosphere, service, flavor, and price are all so wonderful that we don't mind riding the wave until they get sorted. Hoping to see non-styrofoam cup options (that's a deal breaker for me) and a bit more signage (breakfast sandwiches, meat/cheese/cream cheese options, and just pricing in general). I'm sure that VB will become a big thing for the surrounding towns; welcome to the block!

Pastrami and egg on a Asiago bagel

So I've been hearing about this place from my brother and went the other day. It's definitely a spot for locals it seemed the majority of the staff knew the customers I love that in any restaurant. I got coffee and bagel sandwiches the prices are cheaper then dunkin or honeydew and the food is better It only took a few minutes for sandwiches to be ready. Coffee was fantastic be aware they have like 30 options for flavors I was overwhelmed. Sandwiches were very good my only complaint would be the garlic on the bagel was brunt which gave a very bitter taste to my sandwich. The sandwich my wife got was outstanding so maybe it was just a bad day for the garlic bagels. I would definitely recommend this place I will say it's not good for groups more then 4 people very small inside.

    Coffee and croissant

I love the Valley Bean! My sister and I go there all the time when I'm home from school it's our favorite place :) the staff are super sweet and the iced coffee flavors are *chef's kiss* (I just wish they stuck with the plastic cups rather than styrofoam) But I LOVE valley bean AHHH

This bagel was just not good. Also the home fries were soggy. Not the worst but not the best.

I can only imagine how much better it is when the zoo is open and you can see the animals! This restaurant is part of Southwick Zoo. The brunch is offered for a limited time, seasonally. From the breakfast staples like eggs, sausage, bacon, home fries, to crème brulee French toast and waffle station, an omelet station, all of the bagels and breakfast breads, and lunch options from chicken & sausage marsala, mashed potatoes and even baked haddock... there was something for everyone. Save room for the dessert station which had ooey gooey cinnamon rolls, cheesecake, cookies, mousse and so much more. Today they were offering a special Bloody Mary where we got the glass to take home. My husband couldn't resist! Waitstaff was attentive (thanks, Meagan!) and the environment was cozy but spacious. We'll be back for lunch or dinner soon!

When we pulled in, I was a little skeptical -- we didn't realize it was directly next to the zoo and the parking lot didn't have a lot of cars.... With that said, everything was GREAT! We sat along the windows with a view of the petting zoo; it was so fun watching the goats run around!! We ordered artichoke dip and bbq wings as apps and they were delicious! I ordered the chicken Caesar wrap and my boyfriend ordered the burger. Again, everything was great!! We would happily come back!

We haven't dined here in quite some time, but decided to join some friends to this out of the way…read morerestaurant. It's somewhat in the middle of nowhere, so why was it difficult to get a reservation for Saturday night? Simply said, great food at reasonable prices. Our choices were 4:30 or 6:30, we chose to go early after a two-mile chilly walk along the beautiful Blackstone Canal, just 7 minutes away from the UxLocale. We were seated immediately and our waitress arrived in just moments. We were provided menus, waters and we ordered some drinks which arrived not long after. There were only a few patrons here as the UxLocale opens at 4pm. The menu changes weekly, and our party of four selected: * Warm Pecorino with Truffle Honey Cheese * Tuscan Shrimp Pappardelle * Tomato Carbonara Pappardelle * (2) 1.5" New York Strip Steak * Cannoli for Dessert Let's start with the steaks. In a word, delicious! Both were cooked perfectly medium rare, tender and juicy. Two sides are included, I got the Beet Salad (tasty and nicely dressed) and the potatoes with bacon which were awesome. A co-diner ordered the same dish but got the Caesar salad which he liked very much. We both agreed, a solid 5-star dinner at a reasonable $37 price. The shrimp plate looked beautiful and substantial. The diner loved it and ate every bite. The Tomato Carbonara Pappardelle was also tasty, albeit with strong pepper undertones. If you don't like a lot of pepper, you might try a different dish, or ask if the chefs can cut back on it. That said, I liked it and would be happy to order this. Most of the diners liked the Warm Pecorino with Truffle Honey Cheese Skillet (slices of Pecorino Romano cheese, warmed to a mild melt and drizzled with truffle-infused honey. The salty, sharp cheese and sweet, pungent honey are a classic pairing in Tuscan cuisine. Warmed and served on a cast-iron skillet). I liked it, one diner thought it was too salty, though that is the way it's described above. The dishes are all large, three of us brought home leftovers. We finished by sharing a cannoli dessert, which was excellent, crispy cannoli with a light and tasty filling. An outstanding dinner, with excellent services at a reasonable price (dinner for four with drinks was $209 before tip). A solid 5-stars on this visit. Note that they request tips be left in cash (for all of us who use little if any cash these days). There is a cash machine when you first enter.
