This place is an actual joke. First of all, we sat at our table for over 2 hours just waiting for our food to even come to the table, listening to the servers complain to every. single. table. about how short staffed they are... Everyone is short staffed, we get it, but we didn't come here to listen to you complain for hours on end. The steak tastes like rubber, and the fries came with a fried sardine in them. My mom has an allergy to fish and we were not told at any point, nor was it stated on the menu, that these items were cross contaminated, let alone, served together. We asked to speak to a manager, who took 45 minutes to even come to the table, and dragged her cook (Joe) out of the kitchen, and presented him as the problem, which was already unprofessional enough. We calmly told them that this was a huge problem, as our mom has a severe severe allergy, to which the manager said "I can't with this, I can't" and walked away. Meanwhile, Joe (the cook) stayed at our table, getting super hostile, yelling and swearing at us about how it's our fault for not telling them about the allergy (we ordered nothing with fish in it) and that they have no responsibility to disclose that EVERYTHING IS COOKED IN THE SAME OIL. So apparently here, you have to specifically tell them if you would like your fries to be just fries, and not fried sardines. This is the most unprofessional, and straight up disgusting place I have ever been to. If you have any other options, go there instead! read more

Have been to Valley Inn many times and for the most part their food is really good and the bartenders and servers are always very nice... however I was absolutely blown away with how god awful their customer service was today.. we ordered 3 large pizza's to go for a neighbor gathering and two of them were absolutely inedible! Looked like someone took it out of the oven and staked the box at a 90 degree angle. Every ounce of sauce cheese and toppings slid off the crust and folded over to the side of the box. We called to complain and the owner basically yelled at me saying he always stacks them on a flat table and places them straight on the counter. Then said it's not his problem and it's my fault because we didn't checking the box before you left. Claimed we did it in transit and basically told us to screw ourselves. Wow. The owner of this place is a complete and utter asshole! We came in from out of town and were recommeded the Valley Inn by numerous people, so we headed over. The good: The bartenders, cooks, etc, were incredible!!! They held down the fort when the power went out. They kept everyone calm, happy and satiated! The bad: HOLY, HOLY, SHIT WAS IT BAD. The Owner (who was definitely drunk) came out and SCREAMED at the amazing bartenders in front of sooo many guests. It was nearly 45 mins after the power went out and he was still blaming them for the outage. This amazing crew deserves soo much better than this guy as a boss. I've only been to this place a few times for their $5 Wednesday chicken special. You have to purchase a drink and it is for dine in only. I know this takes a while because they fry the chicken fresh so I always call ahead to save time. By the time I get there it is fresh and ready to eat. You get a wing, breast, thigh and a drumstick with fries and Cole slaw. The first time I went inside you see the bar straight ahead and then video poker on the right. Then the dining area is on the left with booth and long table. It is a more your neighborhood where you know everybody kinda place. Reminds me of the show "Cheers" because everyone who came into the restaurant/bar knew each other right away and they'll say...you want chicken today? Generally they will say yes because they're there for the Wednesday chicken special. I didn't get to use their bathroom so I couldn't tell you how clean it is. But the place is an old family owned place so I assumed it's probably ok. So with the $5 chicken and a mandatory drink it's about $7.50 and then tax comes out to like $9. I gave her $3 tips so for the chicken meal it comes out to a total of $12. I can never finish so I always bring half home. The chicken is fresh and juicy, not dry, the skin is delicious, the fries are great and the Cole slaw is yummy too. It is a bit of salty in my opinion but everything is salty to me lol I would definitely go back for the Wednesday chicken special. I've heard great things about their other food but for $12 dine in with a breast and wing to bring home, I always ended up going there on Wednesday only. Hope this helps! read more

I tried The Valley Inn for the first and last time yesterday. I had the worst restaurant experience of my life. My friend and I placed our order with a miserable waitress. I asked for the Shrimp Scampi and an order of the vegetable of the day, asparagus. My friend asked for chicken with a baked potato. When the waitress delivered our food, she advised me that I couldn't have the asparagus because my Shrimp came with spinach (perhaps 5 leaves). Weird, I thought. Most restaurants would gladly charge an additional fee for a side of vegetables. I cut into a shrimp and saw that it was translucent. I touched the inside and it was cold. When I informed the waitress of the problem, she seemed quite irritated, as if I was high maintenance because I didn't want to eat undercooked shellfish. When she returned with the dish, the shrimp was still slightly undercooked. When I told her this, she snidely told me, "the plate is steaming", as if this was an indication that the shrimp was cooked. I told her that I would like something else and I asked for the pot roast without gravy. She brought me a plate of pot roast smothered in gravy. I reminded her that I didn't want gravy. When she returned with the plate, most, but not all of the gravy was removed. I told her that I couldn't it eat it because the gravy likely contained wheat which I can not consume. She angrily informed me that the kitchen staff cooks the pot roast in gravy. Had she brought that up before, I would not have ordered the pot roast. After this, the fourth entrée, I told her I didn't want any other food and I would pay for the salad I had eaten. She was really angry. She returned with the bill and informed me that the food I had sent back cost $32.00, to which I responded, "that's not my fault, I did nothing wrong". She said, "the food is described on the menu" which left me confused. I told her, that the menu did not describe the shrimp as being raw. The waitress proudly told me that, "we are eating the shrimp in the back". Good for you, I thought. You deserve to get a horrific case of salmonella poisoning. Maybe it will clean out some of the nastiness in your body. This cranky lady never once offered an apology and treated my friend and I like unwelcome guests from the moment we walked in the door. I can't say enough bad things about her and her "service". My friend liked her fried chicken, despite the fact she never did receive the baked potato that she has asked for twice. read more

We've been going to the Valley Inn for years and are happier than 2 peas in a pod about always getting incredibly cooked dishes. The ingredients are always as fresh as can be. The soups are homemade treasures and keep a smile on our faces from ear to ear. The Valley Inn staff are friendly, hospitable and warm people. Chef Dennis & Chef Joe turn out new dishes on a daily basis. Larry & Frankie make my salad just the way I love it. Veggies only please~The creamy garlic dressing is one of a kind. The ranch will rock out any salad deliciously. Wednesday is a must! Fried chicken, super crispy and juicy. Served with a generous amount of extra well done french fries. The Valley Inn restaurant is a "must try". Generous portions at very reasonable prices. My hubby and I split every dish and sometimes still have leftovers. The cozy location has been there for 30 years plus. After being there for 15 mins, we placed our order...a burger, and one of the specials (meatloaf). We waited 45 minutes, and still no food, so we just left. The place definitely has a friendly local feel. My favorite night is Monday. That's half-price Pizza night. There are specials every night. Tuesday is half-price Burgers and Wednesday is half-price Chicken(Their most famous dish). Back to the Pizza. I usually order Sausage & Bacon. The crust is thin and very tasty, the sauce is flavorful with a slight kick, and the meats and cheese are top quality. I brought my son for burger night and we enjoyed it. Rude staff and terrible service, got kicked out for suspicion of a fake ID, after pleading with the bartender it wasn't fake he threatened to call the cops, which I asked him to do since I am 21, afterwards he made a rude remark saying even if I was 21 he would refuse service because he has the right too because it is a private establishment.
