Went here for a quiet girls night during the week. It is a casual place with a bar, tables and booths. I had been to the other location in IN for breakfast so this was my first dinner and visit to this location. Good spot for a nice date night as well. They are intentional with the choices so the menu was not overbearing. I had the Chicken piccata which was very good. Pasta was cooked well and the sauce flavorful. My friend had the chicken fingers and waffles. Bacon was cooked into the waffle and it came with a caramel maple sauce. Another friend had the fish and chips. She ordered another to go for her son she liked it that much. They have a decent bar and lots of beer choices. Dessert choices were good as well. As out of towers, I'm almost sad we got to experience the delightfulness of Harvest room since I know we can't come back anytime soon. For starters, we ordered the Brussels sprouts and really enjoyed them...but the absolute STAR of the show was the Korean tacos with kimchi and house made chorizo! So insanely flavorful, I highly recommend trying these. I also got a salad with blackened chicken and the chicken was the juiciest I've had in awhile! WOW the food was AMAZING - next level comfort food :) The vibe inside is so charming--think beautiful flower arrangements hanging from the ceiling, cozy booths, and gold touch-lamps. We started things off with the Burrata appetizer ($16.25) - incredible. It was a hefty portion, served with sweet, juicy tomatoes, balsamic glaze, and a killer tomato pesto. Oh, and the bread? Grilled to perfection--crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside. Then came the pot roast ($28) as an entree and let me tell you, it was chef's kiss. A huge, melt-in-your-mouth cut of grass-fed beef that didn't even need a knife. It was sitting on a bed of rich mashed potatoes with these perfectly roasted carrots that made the whole dish feel like a warm hug. We had 5:00 reservations, at 5:26 our waitress arrived & we placed our order. she told us the kitchen was behind & it would be awhile for our order to arrive. 15 minutes later she finally brought our drinks. 5:20 a waiter brought my granddaughters their burgers (undercooked). we asked about the rest of the order and was told it would be a few more minutes. An hour after we placed our order we had our food. I had salmon that was still raw in the middle. Have to finish cooking at home. watress never came back to ask if there was anything she could get us or to refill drinks. Food was very good, (the part that wasn't raw.). Hubby and I passed by this restaurant a few times and decided to stop and have lunch. It is located in a strip mall, and parking is ample. The staff was friendly, and we were seated quickly. The service was a bit slow, but when our server, Nick, came, he was attentive, which we appreciated. The decor is modern, and we enjoyed the music playing in the background. It gave the place a nice, relaxed vibe for a Saturday afternoon. Hubby ordered the hibiscus sour and Taylor Street sandwich, their version of Italian beef, and I ordered sangria and the smoked chicken panini but had the chicken grilled instead of smoked. I was referred to The Harvest Room by a follower on TikTok.  They mentioned I'd enjoy the brunch experience as a part of my 2024 Best Brunch Challenge. I went here with my husband. If you're driving here, the parking is super tight. We circled around 3x before finally getting a spot! Surprisingly when entering the restaurant, I wasn't expecting it to be so roomy, with very nice decor on the ceiling.  There were plenty of occupied tables, but thankfully, we were seated right away. I love a restaurant that serves breakfast appetizers! The menu at The Harvest Room has nice options, including - Sheet Pan Poutine, which has french fries, pork sausage gravy, applewood smoked bacon, chicken chorizo, smoked gouda, poblano peppers, spicy giardiniera, crispy fried onions, and eggs over easy!  The hubby and I got our usual which was an omelet, pancakes and skillet. However, our meals had some variations in the ingredients. For instance, my husband ordered the Barn Jam Omelet. This has applewood uncured bacon, chicken chorizo, smoked brisket jam, roasted red peppers, and queso fresco.  I ordered the Hunters Skillet.  It had pork sausage, bacon, red & green bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, cheddar cheese, eggs, and potatoes. Whole restaurant was overwhelmed on Easter Sunday. Ran out of items offered for Easter at 1:30 in the afternoon. Service was slow. Waited almost 90 minutes for entrees. One salmon entree was over cooked and one was under cooked. I was served my chicken entree 15 minutes after the other 5 in the party were served. Awful. Never again! read more

A family favorite in Palos Heights! Stopped in on a Saturday early afternoon for brunch and were seated promptly in a sunny booth. Staff were busy but generally attentive. I had the biscuits and gravy with the chicken and hot honey - incredible taste, huge portion!! My mom also had a very large omelette and hash browns that she said were tasty and also large portions. My absolute favorite breakfast spot in Palos. I stumbled across this hidden gem, randomly looking for brunch and mimosas after my dentist cleaning lol. The Harvest Room did not disappoint. I always get their cinnamon roll pancakes, get the half stack (the serving is huge) as well as their maple turkey breakfast sausage, yummy it's so fresh and juicy. Throw in their unlimited mimosas and whew let's celebrate lol. I always sit nestled in the corner, people watching while watching whatever's on television and enjoying my me time. Stopped in for lunch with two good friends. They both had the chicken and waffles. Neither one of them really enjoyed the waffles with the bacon in them, but the chicken was very good. I had the amazing steak sandwich. I had it without the arugula because I find it bitter. I paired it with a soup of the day which was cream of garbanzo. Very good! I like the harvest room. I didn't taste the waffle so I can't give an opinion on them, but they sure look good to me. They were served with a warm caramel butter, maple syrup. I did taste that and it was excellent. Had a great meal with a friend! This was our first time dining here for dinner. We came on a Wednesday night and there were only a few other patrons so we were seated right away. I started with the Fades Jade cocktail which was so herbaceous and refreshing - not too sweet. I had the Faroe Island Salmon which was a very generous piece of fish over black rice and roasted carrots with a Dijon cream sauce. It was very flavorful with a nice tang from the Dijon sauce and the salmon was perfectly cooked. Some sort of greens would have been a nice addition but it was a great dish overall. When you arrive at Harvest Room, the outside seems plain. The same can be said about the inside. While the building doesn't have a flashy appearance, the food tells a story that shows where the owners passion lives. The brisket in the tacos was seasoned beautifully, the skillet was fresh and vibrant under the eggs, and even the soup was so fresh it tasted like my grandmother served it for me. Great work to the owner for putting their earning into what brings people back, the dishes they serve and the taste that people will remember, and not purely into making it look nice while driving by. 10/10. This is like a hidden gem in the area. Been here a few times. The food is just so delicious. I really don't have a specific recommendation, they're all good. But definitely include the sweet potato hash in your meal for sure, even as a side dish. The seating area is nice, good for groups. It's a bit dark, but I think that's the ambiance they're trying to go for. Service was fine, but it wasn't crowded, so I'm not sure how they run when it's crowded. We had a party of 10 including 3 small children and the Harvest Room handled us like the true champions they are. We were ALL impressed by the menu options and even earned a deal on the monkey bread through checking in on yelp. As we were all starving upon arrival, it was the perfect treat to hold us over. The portions here are huge, they are also affordable. I ordered the Brisket Benedict which was good, but could have been GREAT if the egg was poached properly and not overcooked. Womp, womp. This place is all about living local and eating well as it says on their door coming in. The room is large with comfortable booths. I went early ahead of the crowd. Maria was attentive to what I wanted and made recommendations that I believe were spot on. Based on her recommendations, I went with Scotched Eggs? Hardened egg with a hollandaise sauce on top. It's said that the energy of a business reflects that of its owners and I must say they've nailed it. You could feel it from the host/servers to the smiling customers. Our waitress, Sarah, was amazing. I couldn't choose between two meals and she came up with the perfect solution. Sarah was friendly, funny, and attentive. I hope we get her again the next time we go. The food was delicious and they offer a separate vegan/vegetarian/ gluten free menu (breakfast & lunch!) I ordered the vegan bravas skillet. It was soo good and a great portion size. My bf ordered the Veggie Eddie. He was little jealous because my portion was bigger than his lol. They also have really good & strong drinks! There were a lot of really tasty looking drink options (some even holiday themed). But we noticed the booty Collin's was the only drink option that had a 2 drink maximum so we had questions lol. The ambiance was really nice. Great overall vibe. It's a nice size restaurant but also felt intimate and cozy. Santa was there and little kids were taking pictures. Too cute. This was my 2nd time coming to the harvest room. I'm not sure if they differ by location but THIS location completely changed my outlook on the harvest room. My mother and I visited Harvest Room (7164 W 127th St, Palos Heights, IL 60463) around 7:25 PM on 11/16. Upon arriving, we waited by the greeter's desk as usual. However, we were then told to wait by the bar instead. When I asked why we couldn't be seated, especially since there were open tables and booths available, I was told it was because the waitstaff needed time to "catch up." I don't understand why we were made to wait in uncomfortable chairs at the bar instead of being seated at a table, as we've always been in the past. This isn't the kind of service we've come to expect. My mother and I have been coming here for years, and this was the worst experience we've had. What has happened to the quality of service at this location? Has there been a recent change in ownership or management? I reached out to them twice via phone and sent an email about my experience, but despite their assurances that they would get back to me, I never received a response. I ordered gluten-free pasta, I was look forward to it, but I ended up having an allergic reaction. It was alarming and concerning, especially since they advertise their catering to dietary restrictions. Aside from the disregard to my allergies, the pasta was drenched in oil.. didn't even finish it. All I could positively say was the service was quick, and it was nice to find a table available on a weekday. This place does some things exceptional and others are a little surprising. The sticky bread pudding is so good. The chicken and waffles is also amazing but they were out of waffles, at 10:30am????, so I tried chicken and biscuits which was also amazing. My son loved the pancakes, eggs, and sausage. The kids sliders were just ok and they don't have American cheese so my 6 year old was not a fan. The salad, was just bad which seems wrong for a place like this. The lettuce was mostly white, bland, and overly crunchy, the chicken was rubbery and dry, and the dressing tasted bottled so I'd say maybe avoid this. read more

3.5 stars rounded up. First, when I arrived on a Saturday at 1 pm there was no parking! I attempted to park in back but was told that was for employees. I then had to wait for someone to come out to park which was a bit frustrating as you can't park on the street either. The hostesses were very friendly upon arrival. Despite the busy parking lot there were a handful of tables available. The restaurant is a decent size and reminds of a suburban breakfast place. I had the iced tea which was very good. The only downside is you need to go on a link to see the drink menu instead of it being on the menu itself. I had the salad with smoked chicken. The chicken was very good and very smoked. The salad was large and mostly lettuce but tasty. My friend enjoyed her smoked chicken sandwich and fries. The service was just okay. We didn't get offered a refill and had to ask for one and our plates were never removed from our table until we were paying even though multiple individuals walked by our table and even cleaned another empty table.
