As out of towers, I'm almost sad we got to experience the delightfulness of Harvest room since I know we can't come back anytime soon. For starters, we ordered the Brussels sprouts and really enjoyed them...but the absolute STAR of the show was the Korean tacos with kimchi and house made chorizo! So insanely flavorful, I highly recommend trying these. I also got a salad with blackened chicken and the chicken was the juiciest I've had in awhile! This spot knows their stuff + and despite there only being one server visible (6-7 tables seated at the time), they moved FAST. We were in and out within an hour.

Loved this place right after our stair climb at Swallow Cliff!! Nice service and the food was amazing!!

5 Stars - Harvest Room We came here right after conquering our stair climb at Swallow Cliff, and WOW--Harvest Room did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in, the cozy atmosphere and friendly service made us feel instantly rewarded for our workout. I ordered the salad and let me tell you... SO fresh, so flavorful, and beautifully put together. You can really taste the quality and care in every ingredient. The portions were perfect and the presentation was stunning--exactly what you want after an outdoor adventure and a good sweat! Everything about this visit was a win: quick service, warm staff, and food that feels like comfort and health combined. If you're in the area--whether you're coming from a hike, a stair climb, or just hungry--Harvest Room is a must-visit. Can't wait to be back!

WOW the food was AMAZING - next level comfort food :) The vibe inside is so charming--think beautiful flower arrangements hanging from the ceiling, cozy booths, and gold touch-lamps. We started things off with the Burrata appetizer ($16.25) - incredible. It was a hefty portion, served with sweet, juicy tomatoes, balsamic glaze, and a killer tomato pesto. Oh, and the bread? Grilled to perfection--crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside. Then came the pot roast ($28) as an entree and let me tell you, it was chef's kiss. A huge, melt-in-your-mouth cut of grass-fed beef that didn't even need a knife. It was sitting on a bed of rich mashed potatoes with these perfectly roasted carrots that made the whole dish feel like a warm hug. Staff were super nice and polite too :) On top of all that, the staff were super friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. This spot is a must for dinner--you won't regret it!

Hubby and I passed by this restaurant a few times and decided to stop and have lunch. It is located in a strip mall, and parking is ample. The staff was friendly, and we were seated quickly. The service was a bit slow, but when our server, Nick, came, he was attentive, which we appreciated. The decor is modern, and we enjoyed the music playing in the background. It gave the place a nice, relaxed vibe for a Saturday afternoon. Hubby ordered the hibiscus sour and Taylor Street sandwich, their version of Italian beef, and I ordered sangria and the smoked chicken panini but had the chicken grilled instead of smoked. Nick mentioned that sometimes the smoked flavor may be a bit much, and I am glad he mentioned that option because I enjoyed my sandwich. Hubby also enjoyed his.

I was referred to The Harvest Room by a follower on TikTok.  They mentioned I'd enjoy the brunch experience as a part of my 2024 Best Brunch Challenge. I went here with my husband. If you're driving here, the parking is super tight. We circled around 3x before finally getting a spot! Surprisingly when entering the restaurant, I wasn't expecting it to be so roomy, with very nice decor on the ceiling.  There were plenty of occupied tables, but thankfully, we were seated right away. I love a restaurant that serves breakfast appetizers! The menu at The Harvest Room has nice options, including - Sheet Pan Poutine, which has french fries, pork sausage gravy, applewood smoked bacon, chicken chorizo, smoked gouda, poblano peppers, spicy giardiniera, crispy fried onions, and eggs over easy!  The hubby and I got our usual which was an omelet, pancakes and skillet. However, our meals had some variations in the ingredients. For instance, my husband ordered the Barn Jam Omelet. This has applewood uncured bacon, chicken chorizo, smoked brisket jam, roasted red peppers, and queso fresco.  I ordered the Hunters Skillet.  It had pork sausage, bacon, red & green bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, cheddar cheese, eggs, and potatoes. The service at The Harvest Room was great, and my tastebuds enjoyed themselves while eating this delicious food. I thanked and tagged the follower on TikTok.

My absolute favorite breakfast spot in Palos. I stumbled across this hidden gem, randomly looking for brunch and mimosas after my dentist cleaning lol. The Harvest Room did not disappoint. I always get their cinnamon roll pancakes, get the half stack (the serving is huge) as well as their maple turkey breakfast sausage, yummy it's so fresh and juicy. Throw in their unlimited mimosas and whew let's celebrate lol. I always sit nestled in the corner, people watching while watching whatever's on television and enjoying my me time. It's cute inside so it's makes the space even more cozy and family friendly. Service is always great! Food comes out quickly.

Stopped in for lunch with two good friends. They both had the chicken and waffles. Neither one of them really enjoyed the waffles with the bacon in them, but the chicken was very good. I had the amazing steak sandwich. I had it without the arugula because I find it bitter. I paired it with a soup of the day which was cream of garbanzo. Very good! I like the harvest room. I didn't taste the waffle so I can't give an opinion on them, but they sure look good to me. They were served with a warm caramel butter, maple syrup. I did taste that and it was excellent. I'll go back with another group of friends.

The puma burgers with fruit was a great mix of healthy and full. Burger has lots of flavor and fruit was crisp and fresh

Had a great meal with a friend! This was our first time dining here for dinner. We came on a Wednesday night and there were only a few other patrons so we were seated right away. I started with the Fades Jade cocktail which was so herbaceous and refreshing - not too sweet. I had the Faroe Island Salmon which was a very generous piece of fish over black rice and roasted carrots with a Dijon cream sauce. It was very flavorful with a nice tang from the Dijon sauce and the salmon was perfectly cooked. Some sort of greens would have been a nice addition but it was a great dish overall. Our waitress was so nice and helpful with menu recommendations. Will definitely be back to try more!

We had a party of 10 including 3 small children and the Harvest Room handled us like the true champions they are. We were ALL impressed by the menu options and even earned a deal on the monkey bread through checking in on yelp. As we were all starving upon arrival, it was the perfect treat to hold us over. The portions here are huge, they are also affordable. I ordered the Brisket Benedict which was good, but could have been GREAT if the egg was poached properly and not overcooked. Womp, womp. This is my biggest pet peeve for Benedict's and the reason I took a star off. Overall, I'd still say this place is a great breakfast spot, if you're in the area I would not miss it.

How can I make a reservation for dinner?

Are there mimosas on the breakfast/brunch menu?

Yep. They're on the lunch side of the menu. Many options too! By the glass, a bottle and carafe for the table, or an hour of bottomless mimosas!

The place was pretty busy and people were having a good time. The dinner was setup for family style which started off with bread and soup, salad, mashed potatoes, veggies then the main courses. We weren't sure if our son who has allergies was able to eat the food so we asked the server. The soup, bread was a no. The salad yes, but not the dressing. They did give him vinegar and oil. The chicken and beef we weren't sure so we ordered him a steak and mushrooms with a baked potato. The server was very helpful with helping us with our questions. When the food started coming out, a new server gave him the soup and the server that helped us warned us that he couldn't have it and I truly appreciated that. They come out with soup in a metal bucket and they ladle the soup into our bowls. The soup was ok but it was cold and the pasta noodles were mushy. The salad was good and the ranch was homemade and was tasty, I wish it was a little more thicker. The mashed potatoes were just ok and were cold as well. The veggies were not good, cold and could use some seasoning. The bread was the star for me. It was nice and crisp on the outside and has melted butter. I wanted to eat it all but I'm trying to cut down on carbs. The pasta had sausage and chunks of the sausage went into the sauce, the chicken and London broils looked good. Overall, the service was good. The bread and salad was good. The soup could have been better is hot and firmer pasta. Mashed potatoes had potential but it was just ok, pass on the veggies. And the meat appeared like it was good. My son's steak was cooked as desired and said it was good but the sautéed mushrooms were missing and we didn't really bother to ask for them. Being with family was great and that's what mattered at the end of the day. But if we were ever to come back, family style is an easy pass.

The lunch/dinner menu is a little less expansive than I had hoped, with fairly limited options.. that being said, I had the french onion soup which was pretty awesome, as well as chicken lettuce wraps which were decent - not my favorite, but seemed fresh and a good option for healthier eaters. I remember there was an intriguing 'small plates' menu that was being featured at the check in desk - some things such as an avocado crab toast caught my eye. However, I did not receive that menu when ordering in the bar area.. something to maybe ask about next time! Breakfast was about what you'd expect for a buffet (apparently there's a way you can get a coupon for free breakfast, but I didn't have one, so mine cost $14.95 without tip). Buffet options included scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage, bacon, yogurts, fresh fruit. They also had an omelette station, which was a highlight for sure. TLDR - probably wouldn't return just to eat unless I was staying at the hotel, but also not a terrible option for anyone who's staying overnight/for a few nights and doesn't want to leave the hotel to eat.
