I stopped by Fat Tommy's last weekend with my family. We were excited to check it out since we were first timers. We were greeted promptly by the host and seated upon entry. The restaurant has a warm and relaxed vibe. It's bright and spacious too. There's also a bar, slot machines, and karaoke. The menu is expansive, and the prices are extremely reasonable. The paper menus should've been laminated in my opinion, though. It would give them a more aesthetic appeal. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive. I had the pulled pork sandwich, which was decent. The fries are fresh cut, which was a nice surprise. My brother had a burger with a side of vegetables. He thought it was wonderful. My sister had the BBQ chicken sandwich and tater tots. She was less than enthusiastic about her food. She said the tater tots tasted as though they had been fried in old grease. The tots were also fried much too long. She didn't like the BBQ sauce on the sandwich and thought the chicken was just okay. She also ordered the frozen house punch. She didn't realize that the drink was pre-made and kept in a large, plastic container that's stationary at the bar. Every so often, the bartender measured the alcohol content and added more as necessary to keep it at a certain level. It's a common practice, but the drink wasn't very good. She thought it would've been mixed in a blender upon ordering. If she'd known that it wasn't, then she wouldn't have ordered it. The manager (presumably) stopped by the table to see how everything was going. She asked how we liked the food and if our waitress was taking care of us. She stopped at nearly every table to speak with many of the guests. That was nice to see because that kind of thing is a bit of an anomaly these days. It was nice to see an employee at a restaurant seemingly cared about the service they were providing. Overall, the experience at Tommy's was positive. None of us were blown away or anything, but it was a decent first impression nonetheless. I'd return for a second visit, but that singular experience was enough for my sister. She'd likely not return if given the choice. read more

My partner and I came here tonight. I ordered the southwest chicken with sauce on the side, add American cheese and extra pickles. For my side, I got the tots. This was good. I'd give it a 4/5. I deducted a star because the chicken was slightly over fried (dark brown fry in some areas, and the chicken was thus a little drier than I like. The sauce wasn't spicy hot, but it had flavorful spice in it. The tots were perfect- crisp on the outside. My partner got the BBQ cheddar burger. He removed some of the fried onions from my sandwich and added the to his. With those, he said the burger was super tasty, and rated it a 4/5. The Pattie's were fully cooked- you didn't have a temp options. The Mac was okay. Not bad, but not my fav. The service was great. We had Brooke and she was attentive and seemed to enjoy her job. This place has TVs all over so no matter which direction you sit, you can watch what you like. My partner watched football, while I watched trivia. We had a nice time and will be back! read more

This was absolutely a 1 star experience, the 2nd star comes about because of the French fries. They're actually exceptional, probably because they're supposedly fresh. I ordered a kids chicken tender meal(my son was not impressed, says a lot when my kid lives off chicken it seems), loaded tots(they forgot my sour cream, but by that point I was over it so it didn't matter anymore), the Tommy beef egg rolls(very gamey, I would say it's safe to assume that the beef was old), grilled wings(the buffalo sauce... I'm sure it's made in house... but yea, very interesting flavor, doubt I'd do it again), Mac and cheese, and a couple orders of fries(the fries were the star of the show, and that's unfortunate considering how stacked the menu is). The service was not there, at all. They did not put the game on for us, had to ask multiple times. The whole purpose of a sports bar is to be able to watch the game, isn't it? Felt very rushed by the waitress, and then she just flat out disappeared. I wish I could say that it was really busy that day, it would actually make a little more sense, but no... it was actually a pretty empty parking lot. I maybe could have went up to 3 stars had they been more attentive, there's nothing worse than being at a sports bar with an empty glass... at the minimum, pay attention to my empty glass. read more

I love this place ! The servers I have interacted with ( Bella, Melissa, and Chloe) are always great. Polite, friendly, professional and very attentive but not intrusive. The food is excellent especially the cream of chicken soup and French fries. The burgers are also very tasty I.e. mushroom Swiss burger. I also want to give a high five to the hostess Izzy she always has a smile and is very friendly. It's a bit noisy but that's to be expected from a Sports Bar and grill. Visited Fat Tommy's in Crestwood, IL for Happy Hour and Bingo. I ordered the Razzy Daiquiri. The drink was well made and refreshing. Our server Chloe was very attentive and asked several times if we needed anything. Also, the General Manager stopped by our table to say hello (which she does every time we eat here...). Although I didn't win at Bingo, I had fun playing. Lastly, today is Taco Tuesday. The taco platter for $10 is a choice of beef, chicken or pork. The $15 taco platter is a choice of steak, shrimp or fish. However I had the Tommy Burger, the restaurant's signature burger. read more

Yeah, this place was amazing. Had to go to the bathroom bad so I pulled off the highway. Saw this and said I might as well eat. Their burger was phenomenal and on Mondays they have this dealer. It only cost $10 and $12 for a specialty one I got that bacon burger and then I asked for a side of garlic Parmesan and it was phenomenal. Highly recommended and the bartenders are really nice. read more

Fat Tommy's is a great little sports bar!! couldn't be more perfect. The TVs are state-of-the-art. They have them on all walls. There's not a bad spot to see a game. The vibrancy of the place is outstanding, love the televisions. They're so modern for 2026 sound is good And the food is excellent as well as the beer selection is very good. Truly experienced ownership and Chef, that really are putting the most perfect plate of food in front of you. The french fries are a 10 fresh cut /crispy not soggy, excellent beer battered COD on Fridays for 12 or $13 outstanding with fries and The pot pie soup that I had two weeks in a row was delicious. Great atmosphere, good service. Food looked great but had literally no flavor. I'm not sure what the cooks are doing back there, but it isn't much. Dense, flavorless meatballs in bland vodka sauce. Wilted flatbread with a pound of cheese. Burger and fries with no flavor whatsoever. Even the grilled cheese tasted like dry plain bread. The midweek happy hour alone is reason enough to visit! $6 phenomenal coconut mojito. The weeknight food specials are great too, the smokehouse burger was delicious. And the fries are to die for. You can tell they're fresh and hand cut, not frozen, premade slop. Not pictured are the gyro eggrolls which were a fun treat. Environment is a bit loud, not from music but just people's chatter. It gets quite hard to hear each other and talk over it. The service is very quick and the servers are kind and helpful. We will be back. read more

Service was great. The menu was used and had stains on it which initially threw me off. Drink wasn't all that either. I had got chicken nachos and fried pickles. Pickles were great only thing I liked about the nachos was the chip and queso cheese. Chicken could have been seasoned at least. ALLERGY WARNING: the drinks and appetizers were good but the grilled chicken sandwich that had a shrimp tail and carcass(shell) in it. Outstanding food every time we come here. Amazing selection of draft beers, that are ice cold. The staff is amazing, shout out to Suzy the manager who is amazing. Fat Tommy's in Crestwood sucks!! The reviews hit it right on!! I ordered loaded tater tots, southwest egg rolls, and rum punch! That drink taste like something they poured out of a medicine bottle! Very disgusting. I had to send the egg rolls back because they were still cold in the middle! The tater tots were very salty and old tasting! Manager said it's the cheese they use! I said ok and that I would try something else and send the menu! That never happened, guess he didn't like his food to be criticized! When I explained my concerns, to manager, he became upset, especially when I stated that this was my first and last time! He became very angry! Tho I stated I'll still pay for it! At register my server, with a nasty attitude said can I have your card! As if she demanding it! So after my payment went through, I said can I have my card and walked out! The unprofessionalism of the manager is over the top! I've never been so disappointed in my life! The mere fact that he chase me outside and took a picture of my license plate, and threatened to ruin my credit lmao because I took the wrong receipt , and is absurd! Dude what's your issue! First time here with new owners. Renovation is amazing! Plenty of large screen televisions for any sporting event, especially during Indiana/Oregon game. Our bartender, Michelle, you never had to wait for a drink. As for management, I watched the manager walk around to all the tables making sure everything was good. You don't see much of that anymore. Drinks were terrible. Lemon drops were not even drinkable. Manager would not remove from check although no one drank them. She was very rude and did not consider her customers. Waitress took forever. Will not come back here. Do not recommend. There are so many better places to dine at and spend your hard earned money. Gave an additional tip despite their behavior.
