I am a simple girl. I have a solitaire in 14K yellow gold with a wedding band soldered to it. It has been my joy to wear for almost two decades. But life wears on gold and I began to notice that my ring was badly misshaped & had worn quite thin. Now, not only am I a plain-Jane gal, but I also had emotional ties into the old style. My experience with the Vault Jeweler's in Fresno is one of the worst possible experiences ever. I visited the store multiple times to select a diamond wedding band. Each time I visited the staff was helpful the sales person was pretty good she gave me a price quote on the ring and honored it when I returned to order the ring. Placing the order was easy enough they sized my finger and placed the order, I paid in full when I ordered the ring. I was told 3 to 4 weeks for delivery and that I would be called when the ring was in. After 6 weeks with no phone call I decided to call to find out if the ring was in. When I called the woman who answered told me "No it was not in yet but, that she would have the salesperson call me to give me an update on my order". After an hour of hanging up, the sales lady called and told me my ring was in and that I could pick it up anytime. I asked why I hadn't been given a call when it came in and how long had it been in. She didn't really answer my questions. About 3 days later I was able to go to the store and pick up my ring. I went with a friend and asked to get my ring. The shop owner and manager were the ones to help me. The owner Gary went in back and returned with a ring. He seemed nervous but I didn't think anything of it. He handed me the ring with no paper work, order receipt, or packaging. He asked me if the ring looked correct I was excited to finally have my wedding band and said yes... I had to ask for a ring box and left quickly because I had an appointment for the wedding details that afternoon. When I got home my fiancé and I looked at the ring. His first words were "This is the wrong ring". After closer inspection I noticed a "14k" on the inside of the ring. I ordered palladium. I then held it directly to my engagement ring and noticed that the diamonds were much smaller than the sample ring we ordered from. I called the Vault immediately and explained that they gave me the wrong ring. I spoke with the manager and asked if there was a mix up and maybe my ring was actually still in the back. The manager seemed amused by that thought and said I don't think so. Our conversation continued by the manager telling me that I can come back in when my sales lady comes in. I didn't understand that and instead drove directly over there during my break. Gary the owner was there when I returned and was busy selling a gentleman a diamond. I spoke with the manager about the ring and explained that it was the wrong ring. She asked me how I knew it was the wrong ring, I then explained that the metal I ordered was palladium and this ring is white gold. It took me explaining this multiple times, showing my receipt that says palladium on it, and showing her the ring to finally get her to say... "So you want to reorder your ring?" YES!! I never received an apology from anyone at anytime. While I was in the store I asked to see the sample ring that we ordered from so that I could compare the diamond size. We stepped over to the ring case and she pulled maybe 2 bands then with a rude tone asked me if I could spot it. This is kind of ridiculous because there's about 20 different diamond band and none of them have signs on them. I asked her if she could check there inventory via the computer. This sample ring is magically no longer in the store. The manager pulled up the ring online to show me it. This was not what I wanted I knew what the ring, I wanted looked like I needed it to compare right then. After the manager has looked for like 10 minutes which was more than she ever wanted to does she got the form to reorder the ring. I then asked her when the ring would be ordered and how long it would take to get here and also if I would get a phone call when it was in. She said that she would call me with the information and that the shop calls at least 1 time when jewelry comes in. I said okay and decided to hold on to the other ring until my new band comes in. The manager told me she had all the information she needed for the order but she never asked me my ring size, so asked her if she needed that. She was like oh yeah that's kind of important. If I hadn't asked I'm not sure what I would have gotten. Gary never acknowledged that I was a customer with an issue. I left the store upset and felt very undervalued. read more

What can I say except that I am very happy to have found the Vault and gotten personal service from Gary. I also want to apologize to him for asking him so many questions and being so indecisive when the first engagement ring he recommended was the one I ended up getting. Boy does that man have patience! I ended up coming back to the store three times, bringing him printouts from the web, you name it. Well we finally settled on a design from Coast and it was beautiful and my fiancee is of course thrilled (she said yes). The best part is that it didn't break the bank. I would say that the staff is very professional and I didn't feel pressured to get something I didn't want or couldn't afford, which is important since my fiancee and I are in the military. The place is very upscale (even the mall where it is located in is kind of upscale) but I didn't feel they were snobbish, even though they have like super expensive and fancy watches and diamonds in there and they sold me something affordable (but still very nice). read more

My story starts with my then girlfriend, now wife, visiting The Vault in 2004. She purchased a beautiful Titanium men's bracelet for my birthday. Gary (the owner) told her if she ever had any problems with the bracelet, she could talk to him and he would make it right.(I've heard that line before). About a year later, the clasp broke on the bracelet and was unwearable. I was living in Oceanside, Ca. when this happened. I called Gary immediately and was pleasantly surprised when he immediately offered to replace the clasp. He ordered it from the manufacturer and when it arrived weeks later, he called me and asked me to have the bracelet mailed to him. He replaced the clasp for free and did the work himself. I was impressed. Then, I moved to Europe in 2009. I was in England and the ^$^$#**! clasp broke again. ( I had worn it every day). I called him from Ashburnham, England and he was so apologetic and upset that it had happened again.So, I sent him the bracelet again, this time from England! He replaced the clasp again and then paid to have it mailed back to me in Ashburnham. Talk about service. I was upset that I was having this problem but it wasn't Gary's fault. It was the manufacturer. Now here's where it gets better. In 2011, I returned to the states, but not in Fresno. I worked in Oregon and San Jose. About four months ago, the clasp again broke. I couldn't believe it! I was feeling really upset about the whole thing. I again called Gary and he remembered me. When I told him it happened again, he couldn't believe it either. Rather than keep repeating the same procedure as before, he really stepped up! He told me how badly he felt about all of this and then told me that if I could come to The Vault, he would personally purchase a new bracelet on my behalf!! What???!! Who does that? About a month later, I was able to visit Fresno and I made an appointment. He was very gracious and I think a bit embarrassed. I found a bracelet I liked and asked him if this one would be okay? He said yes and then measured my wrist, made the modifications and I had a brand new bracelet. The thing I appreciated also was that I asked him if he would like to keep my bracelet that had the issues. (It was sentimental to me and had been half way across the world.) He said "I could keep it and...by the way..maybe I have a clasp that would fit this again. It did! So, he is now again fixing my old bracelet, gave me a replacement out of his own pocket and he will be mailing my "problem child" bracelet to me shortly. If that isn't the best customer service I have seen in a very long time, I don't know what could be better? The manufacturer of my original bracelet is now out of business. Can't imagine why.....hhmmm. I highly recommend The Vault and Gary. He has integrity and he values his clients. I am so glad to have found The Vault after reading reviews on Yelp. After having a terrible time with my recent jeweler with my Tacori ring, I was hesitant about getting the ring repaired or even cleaned! My recent jeweler (in Ventura) did a terrible job at repairing a diamond in my ring and I have been disappointed ever since. My husband finally convinced me to take it to The Vault and I am so glad that I did. After an extensive cleaning (it really needed it ) they have now sent my ring to Tacori for repairs. Although it is going to cost me (my previous dealer voided my warranty by working on the ring ) I am so glad that it will now be good as new. The staff at The Vault has been so patient with me (I have been calling every week, it is stressful not having your wedding band) and they have given me outstanding service! I would recommend them to anyone purchasing jewelry, especially Tacori products. They are not one of those stores that could care less about you once you pay! They really value you as a customer and will go above and beyond for you to return! When it comes time to buy my band I will definitely be going to The Vault. read more
