We got so tired of eating at all the other sushi bars that we do not really like so we decided to try somewhere new. I never tried this one on El Paseo because I've always heard how expensive it was however, we arrived in time for a happy hour between 4:30 and 5:30 , everyday, and the prices are very much better . Everything was excellent. The service was good. The atmosphere is so beautiful. They have very nice outdoor eating as well I did read some of the reviews and it did say it takes a while to get your food and they are right but it's worth waiting for this is the only sushi bar that I have been to lately where all the sushi comes from inside the kitchen not behind the bar. All the sushi was delicious and the prices and quality was good during happy hour. The ice cream was the best we ever had outstanding for sure we will be back.

Don't let the outside patio fool you, they are OPEN and absolutely delicious. We had reservations at 5:30pm and the waiter, Katrina informed us that happy hour was until 6pm. So, we ordered a Chardonnay and a Manhattan, one now and one for later at the happy hour price. Cha Ching$$ We also stuck with the happy hour menu and it was a great way to share four different dishes: Soy beans, Tuna Takai Tacos (check the picture to piece in the taco), California Dream'n (my Fav), and Sanfish. Service was attentive and at a good pace. We didn't feel rushed at all. at We are heading back this Friday night, see you then.

What a lovely experience here! The restaurant is decorated very nicely and the staff are all so welcoming You are greeted with a complimentary appetizer which was an ahi tartare taco. Delicious We tried several different rolls. All so fresh and tasty. No corkage fee for the bottle of wine we brought which was amazing. Looking forward to returning soon!

Had a really fun time here in Palm Springs. The dishes were creative and different, and the whole experience felt special. Service was great too. The omakase was enjoyable, though the price felt a little high for what it was. Overall still a great cute spot & worth checking out.

We were staying in Indian Wells and the front desk told us about The Venue. I've been to their sister restaurant Sandfish in Palm Springs. The service was amazing and accommodating. We arrived after 8pm thinking they closed at 9pm (Google) but they actually closed at 8:30pm. We didn't feel rushed and the items came out super fast! We ordered the tuna tostada and coconut shrimp to start. We had couple nigiri sushi before our 3 rolls - Venue, El Paseo and Wagyu. I didn't pay attention and all 3 rolls were spicy and 2 had Serrano peppers on top. Everything was delicious. The two of us shared everything and we were stuffed walking out. I could have ordered 1 less roll. If you're shopping around El Paseo or staying near Palm Desert or Indian Wells this is THE sushi spot. They gave me a free appetizer voucher for my next visit too!

It was my first time dining with The Venue, even though there's only one vegetarian option for rolls, it was super tasty. There are some appetizers that are vegetarian friendly as well, I'm also glad they have mocktail options, even though they are a tad more expensive than the alcohol options. The servers are friendly and well knowledged. The inside seating isn't that big, but once we aren't in summer days, there's plenty of outdoor seating.

This is definitely a fancy date night spot, somewhere would go to if you wanted to flex -- it's pricey. Majority of their rolls had the same California roll base -- (real) crab meat and avocado -- with different toppings. Wasn't super unique, but the flavors were good. The A5 Wagyu hot stone was pretty generous for how much meat you get and the truffle butter that comes with it was a good pairing. Service was good, no complaints there!

Fairly well executed dishes. Their pricing was rather expensive, almost to a Nobu level....not sure if that's just what the area calls for? We enjoyed the Wagyu Beef Carpacio, and a couple of the rolls. The appetizers are good, nothing out of the ordinary. The shrimp tempura was crispy and not oily. The restaurant itself is rather small so definitely recommend a reservation.

Creative omakase.. interesting take on smoked salmon, but sushi style. Wagyu with a fried quail egg (steak and eggs). Quite the surprise in Palm Springs. Enjoyed it very much and very filling. Strong portions.

We ordered a few signature rolls, hand rolls, appetizers. They are pretty good. Spicy clam hand roll was the gem for me. Drinks are good too (cucumber jalapeño margarita was impressive)! What led to the 3 star rating was the service. Not only did the speed very slow (waited 20 mins to order food) but also they apparently forgot about our sandfish roll. We got the roll eventually but was not impressed about the service.

Upscale atmosphere but you could dress more casual with outdoor seating. You can bring your dog too if you sit outside. We split 4 special sushi rolls and one app for 4 people. This was the perfect amount. The special sushi rolls were absolutely delicious. The fish and chips roll was interesting but I could do without. The venue roll and spider were AMAZING, the textures and flavors were the best. The only one that was not that good was the lollipop roll made of all veggies and fish (no seaweed or rice). The small chocolate at the end was a nice touch. Service was great. Drinks were creative, the matcha one was delightful.

I've gone to The Venue several times now. The food, the service and the ambiance are 5 stars. Just thinking about it makes me want to go back. Last night was a perfect example. We were greeted warmly when we walked in. The dining room and sushi bar are gorgeous. Our server Alle made wine and food selections for us beginning with the black salt edamame. We then had Happy Hour nigiri that was perfect as a starter. My son then had the El Paseo roll. I tried it too and highly recommend. The shrimp tempura handroll was great. Thank you to The Venue staff, I am looking forward to my next visit!

10/10 would recommend. My husband and I love this sushi spot. It's got such a cute little patio with great people watching. The service is what you make of it. I recommend ordering how you want the food to come out, especially if you prefer to have multiple courses rather than getting it all at onc

It clearly caters to a sophisticated crowd--very similar in vibe to their Calabasas location. While parking is accessible in the rear, it can get congested during peak season. The menu is extensive with plenty of excellent selections, though the pricing is definitely premium. For instance, a Cobb salad topped with fish can easily exceed $45; while the quality is high, that's a significant jump over nearby staples like Daily Grill. Service was friendly but lacked consistency; our server disappeared mid-meal without a hand-off, requiring us to flag down other staff. Overall, it's a bright, airy, and stylish spot well worth a visit, provided you're prepared for the 'luxury' price point.

Usually they should bring the appetizers, rolls and then entree... they brought them out in whatever order. One appetizer arrived followed by an entree, 2 rolls and then the soup and salad that was included with the entree. The edamame arrived almost to the end of the meal and I honestly should have sent it back bc who eats that at the end of a meal? Nothing against the chefs but it shows inexperienced wait staff. The food though was amazing! The rolls are HUGE! We ordered way too much so we took almost 2 rolls home! The tuna tower was amazing but I wish it came with some wonton strips or something to add crunch/texture. They use a green and red crispy crunch on their rolls which was sooo good! Overall the amazing food makes up for the average service.

We had to flag down a person that was not our server. While the presentations of our dishes were fun the flavor was just lacking in the fish. The music was a bit loud and playing 80's pop like Madonna and Michael Jackson. Little odd for a sushi restaurant. Side note there tempura rolls we saw that were coming out looked fun. The rolls were quite big for each of their cuts, makes it hard for a one piece bite. I'd say if you like big rolls for filling purposes give them a go.
