We had an awesome experience! We definitely had the best spot in the place, outside right next to the koi pond surrounded by some amazing foliage. The restaurant looks like you're walking into an old house and the inside is decked out in old photos, dark wood and soft low light whereas the patio is surrounded by big plants making it feel quaint and private and the sound of running water nearby. The food is great and has a little bit of everything from fresh fish to lamb and steak. The servers are kind and professional for a fine dining experience like this.

Dined with friends the other evening celebrating a birthday at the Veranda. It was my first time patronizing the Veranda and I was immediately impressed upon entering the establishment due to the elegance and classy appearance of the restaurant. We were greeted by a waiter dressed in tuxedo to match the elegance of the Veranda. The restaurant is a lovely home converted into a spacious restaurant with a lovely garden style patio for outside dining, weather permitting. The Service was very professional and our waiter, Ramsey , looked the part. Dinner included a salad with a dressing of your choice. Bread and butter were also served. My guests enjoyed their meal which included mashed potatoes, vegetables and their main dish. I must be picky because I did not enjoy my steak. It was not flavorful and needed salt. Condiments were not present on the table however. So, I ate it anyway, just like mama taught me. Eat what's on your plate and be thankful to God that you have food to eat said my mama's voice , still ringing in my ears after all these years. Oh , mama Valet parking is available. There is also a public parking garage nearby. All in all , we all enjoyed a pleasant evening at the Veranda. I'll be back. Next time I'll order the Shrimp Scampi. What could go wrong ?!

Great service! The food was average nothing special at all. Even the steak was bland . It's pricy but average food. The drinks were well made ! Old school restaurant cute vibe

The veranda is honestly one of the gems of Lee County, Florida. It is definitely a restaurant that you go for special occasions. The service and atmosphere is absolutely divine. Highly recommend !

One of the best meals I've ever had. Our server, Winston, was wonderful, helpful, and comical. The building is unassuming from the outside but a true fine dining experience on the inside. Here is what we ordered: Myself: Blue crab cakes appetizer- AMAZING Coffee crusted filet entree- best steak I've ever had Peanut butter fudge pie dessert- delicious but incredibly rich Husband: Lobster bisque appetizer- delicious and creamy Rack of lamb- another hit, cooked to perfection Baileys Irish cream cheesecake- unique and tasty, not too sweet and better balanced than my dessert This will absolutely be a go to dining experience for us!

Really lovely - r new fav place in Ft.Myers!! We have struggled to find good food along w/ambiance in Ft. Myers despite trying many recommended upscale places. The Veranda (at least the bar portion) is the perfect fit, which is odd b/c I really don't care for older Victorian type homes so expected it was going to b a 1 and done experience. Nope! The service from most of the staff was excellent (r waitress at the bar was a bit slow at refreshing drinks, etc but we weren't in a rush), they were dressed up, personable, lighting and decor created a mood that made us feel like we were somewhere special and parking was easy on the street or with their valet. It felt welcoming and cozy but in an upscale way. Most people were sitting on the pretty patio, but we opted to sit at the piano. The bar isn't too big - they have L shaped seating as well as high top seating at the end of a piano. We specifically went on a night when they had piano music and r so glad we did b/c it elevated the experience. The pianist was quite good - loud enough to create a good vibe without being too much, sort of classic songs. Could have done without his singing, but it was soft singing so whatever. They have some nice wines by the glass at what I thought were appropriate prices. The caesar salad was very generous, fresh and tasty. Thank u for the light dressing!!! So often Caesar salads r dripping in thick dressing or have wilting lettuce and this one was refreshing and perfect. The sausage with grit cake was nice to try. The sausage was very flavorful and enjoyable. The grit cake - meh, but what do u expect from grits. Perhaps creamier grits would taste better, but then it wouldn't hold it's shape for the presentation. I'd been told that the Veranda is a lot of old people and stuffy. We r in Ft. Myers during snowbird season so of course there r many older folks, but it was a fabulous experience. If u haven't tried Veranda yet, give it a shot. We will definitely return to the bar for more drinks, apps and music.

From the moment you step inside, you're transported back in time. There is piano music playing and very well dressed servers. Their service is 20/10. Super attentive, personable and professional. Had the table side Caesar salad for two, 100% must try. It is so good, probably top 3 best Caesar's I've ever had. Also had the lobster bisque for starter and the Filet Mignon for entree. All the food was decadent. Although very pricey, it was worth every penny. Highly suggest making reservations.

Even the drinks were served in chilled glasses. We stopped by for our Anniversary dinner. This place was neat and clean and very elegant. Once we were seated Jay or server came over to bring us bread and get our drink orders. Our drinks were out fast, then Jay took our food order. I ordered the Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail for Appetizer to share. For our main course I got the 12oz Ny Strip med well with a Lobster Tail on top and the wife got the 6oz Filet Mignon med well with a Lobster Tail on top. For our sides we got the Baked Potato and Honey Buttered Baby Carrots. Now for the review starting with the Bread, it was warm, fresh and very good. The Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail was spectacular in size and served chilled. Our Lobster was done perfect and served with hot butter. The Steaks were done to perfection very good and tasty. The Baked Potato was served with Sour Cream Butter on the side. The Carrots were al dente and so tasty. All our food was hot and so flavorful. Jay, our server was right on point with service. This entire night was perfect thanks to Prime 239. I have reviewed over 187 places in the southwest Florida area, and this makes the top 5. If I could give this place 6 stars I would but I must give it a 5 plus. I can't wait to go back. + Gulf Coast Terry

The bar has great TVs for watching sports while still maintaining its old world charm. This restaurant is a class act all the way around. I came in the evening and found out that they serve a brunch for the Moms that is so special, it's only offered a time or two a year! We started with the mozzarella and prosciutto appetizer with tomatoes. It was an interesting dish and definitely well executed, though I expected a few more tomatoes on the plate. The prosciutto seemed lightly pan-seared, which gave it a crispy texture that I really enjoyed, and the bread was wonderfully crisp as well. Overall, a solid starter. The main event for me was the Kona-crusted bone-in New York strip, cooked medium. I've had this dish at other Capital Grille locations, and it continues to be one of my favorites. The Kona coffee crust paired with the sauce is such a great flavor combination. The steak itself was a very good cut of meat, tender and not tough at all. I personally would have liked a little more sauce, but I can also understand that the coffee marinade and crust are meant to be the star. For dessert, I had the chocolate espresso cake, and it was excellent. It struck a great balance: rich and decadent without being overly sweet. The service was also excellent. I feel bad that I can't remember our server's name, but he mentioned he was fairly new, around seven months in, and he did a wonderful job. Friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the meal. We even left him a taste of our bottle of wine to help him end his shift on a good note. Attentive, friendly, on top of everything exactly what you want when you're settling in for a steak dinner. No flagging anyone down, no waiting forever for refills. Just good old-fashioned hospitality done right. Now, the food. My go-to here is the steak and shrimp with a loaded baked potato and Caesar salad, and today they absolutely nailed it. Steak came out a perfect medium juicy, flavorful, cooked exactly how I asked. I'll be honest, sometimes they miss the mark on the temp, but here's the thing: they always make it right if it's wrong. That kind of accountability matters. And today? No corrections needed. Just a beautiful piece of meat. Threw back an ice-cold beer to wash it all down, and life was good. But here's where Texas Roadhouse really shines: the value. Two steak entrees, drinks, and tip all under a hundred bucks. Try pulling that off at your fancy steakhouse. You can't. This place delivers quality without emptying your wallet, and in today's world, that's worth celebrating. The Verdict: Texas Roadhouse continues to earn its spot in the rotation. Excellent bar service, a steak cooked right, ice-cold beer, and a bill that doesn't make you wince. Five stars for giving us exactly what we came for and then some. The staff, from the hostesses to the waiters, are always kind, professional, and do a great job. I truly have no complaints about the restaurant itself. I'm writing this review because of a very strange experience we had that I feel compelled to share. We had a reservation for my mom's birthday. When we arrived, our table wasn't quite ready because the previous guests were still sitting there after paying their bill. This was absolutely not the restaurant's fault, and we had no issue waiting while the table was being cleared. Another couple came in and was in the same situation, also waiting. There was one open booth, and the host let us know it was reserved by request. Totally fine, no one had an issue with that. Then a third couple arrived, and that booth was assigned to them. While I was simply talking to my mom, the woman from that couple suddenly got in my face and yelled, "We live here!!!" and then walked off to the table. She came off very angry and mean, which completely caught me off guard, as well as the other couple waiting; they were also very taken back. It was such bizarre behavior. The situation had nothing to do with tourists, snowbirds, or who "lives here." We also live here year-round, had a reservation, and weren't upset or making faces, we were just waiting patiently. The entire interaction was confusing and unnecessary. To be clear, this review has nothing to do with the restaurant, which we love and will continue to return to. This is more of a message to that woman, in the off chance she reads this: that was one of the strangest and most uncomfortable interactions I've ever had in a restaurant, and it made absolutely no sense. Maybe don't do that next time.
