    Burrata

During our trip in Philly, my friend recommended we go to the restaurant that was in the Rocky movies, and I was totally game for it! It felt like we walked for miles to get there and once we did I wasn't impressed by the outside. However, once you step inside it's like you're transported to this family type restaurant that was a little awkward between the two rooms that were on the bottom level. Or seat was next to a doorway where we could see some performances through the doorway and some would perform by us near the doorway lol. Anyway, our waiter was great and he actually was one of the opera singers that performed during our time there. After we ordered our food, we noticed that the area with all of the pictures from the Rocky films was empty, so we decided to check the place out. There were so many cool pics of Stallone, behind the scenes shots and scenes from the films on the wall. After admiring the wall and taking it all in, we went back to our table for our food and more performances. The food was great! Homestyle Italian food at its finest! I ordered the Burrata and the Fruti Di Mare. Both were amazing, especially the seafood in the Di Mare. I wasn't really a fan of the cheese texture of the burrata but hey you have to try new things. I loved the bread and vegetables that came along with it. After the meal, he headed upstairs to check out the bar, scenery, pics on the walls and photo ops. Overall, such a great experience and I'm glad my friend knew about this place. He's a diehard Rocky fan so we hit up a few monumental places from the movies. I recommend checking it out for the food and entertainment! What an experience. OOOOO 5 out of 5 Afros

Absolutely loved my experience here! My fiancé and I came here on a Saturday night and it was relatively busy. Very cool aesthetic with the walls being covered in old photos of performers and guest. Every 20 minutes one of the waitresses or waiters stops and performs an opera piece in the middle of the restaurant floor. Amazing performances!!! Phone use is prohibited during the performances so no photos or recording is allowed. If you appreciate classical music, this place is for you. Food was nice, we liked both our meals and the cocktails were great!

Really special and amazing experience. Went here for Valentine's Day and the entire night was spectacular. From the authentic food, to the cozy old timey ambiance, and of course, the amazing singing from the staff! Service was friendly and the performances were brilliant all throughout the night. They even offer valet parking, which is a big plus in South Philly due to limited street parking. Definitely try this place out for a unique experience! It's perfect Italian cuisine done right!

Incredibly cool restaurant with amazing food . I hosted a group of 20 . Everyone was blown away . All the attendees that live close said they will be back with their families . Really solid spot ! Adina was fantastic!

This almost immediately jumped to my top 2 favorite Italian restaurants in Philadelphia. It was truly an experience. Between the ambiance, the food, and live singing from the staff, and the area upstairs, all of it contributed to a very beautiful date night. Me and my lady can't wait to come back. My only advice is tip well, they deserve it.

This place was incredible. Great food and the singers were very talented. We really enjoyed this and would plan to come when visiting Philly. Highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing! If you're in Philadelphia and you love opera, look no further. Some of the best Italian food anywhere it is a must! The servers are the best in the world! Everyone is nice and happy. The Italian ambience is amazing. The food is next level. Before you die, eat at the Victor cafe!

This was one of the most enjoyable meals I have ever had, especially due to the kind wait staff and incredible performances by the same opera-trained staff! We enjoyed 3 performances during the 2 hours we were there and it was just such a lovely touch on top of an incredible dinner. Everything was delicious, I couldn't stop saying it the entire time we ate. The crème brûlée was the star of the show for me. The soup was a bit lukewarm so that could've been better but the remainder of our items made up for that.

Old school Italian menu, friendly and incredibly talented staff of opera singers. Our server, Adina, was a gem- and really great with kids. Portions are huge- Frutti de Mare was stocked with a ton of seafood and perfectly cooked pasta. Recommend the side of garlicy broccoli rabe. A fun dinner experience.

To be honest I only wanted to come here cause I was a Rocky fan but now I see why this Sylvester Stallone picked this place. It's because it has heart soul history and great food and it's family oriented the waiters and waitress are beautiful. They make sure you are well fed in every 15 to 20 minutes you hear opera with a story I was amazed me and my wife was more than happy and when you do go upstairs, everything is rocky, but when you come to this restaurant, don't come here cause you seen it in the movie come here because you want to eat. Good food and you wanna hear opera great great great night for my birthday thank you Victor Café for proving that you belong in more movies so more people can see your great restaurant.

The Victor Café is a well known Italian restaurant after appearing in the Rocky films Balboa, Creed 1 and 2. In the movies, the restaurant is called Adrian's Restaurant, named after the late wife of Rocky Balboa, owned by the Rocky character. If you're a fan of the film series, visiting the restaurant is a must. At the back of the dining room, the painting from the end of Rocky 3 is displayed. The restaurant itself is interesting, with a louder atmosphere than I was expecting. I found the menu to be somewhat limited, food itself was ok. The place is also known for opera style singing during dinner. While this is a unique offering with talented server/singers, it is also a bit distracting and can be uncomfortable if you're just trying to enjoy your meal. In any case, if you're a Rocky fan, you definitely need to visit The Victor Café.

We ordered their: (1) bacon burger (rating 3.0/5) (2) beef sandwich (rating 3.0/5) (3) fries (rating 3.5/5) Don't get me wrong, the food isn't bad. The best way I can explain it is, their food is satisfactorily adequate. It tastes good enough, it's juicy enough, it's filling enough. It's what I would call "fine". The thing is, their burgers are TINY (not too far from a slider even) and EXPENSIVE for how small they are, so being "fine" isn't what I want. If you're going to charge that much and give that little, the food needs to be mouth wateringly incredible. Otherwise give me a normal-sized "fine" burger. Service Notes: No complaints about the service. This place has bit of a "nicer bar" ambiance, but it's quite small. It felt a little too confined honestly. TLDR: Food is fine, but not worth the cost. There are better burgers at lower price points.

Reasonable. We walked upstairs into the cutest little dimly lit romantic wine bar I've ever seen. That was a lot of descriptors, but I felt them in my soul. We ordered a bottle of Pinot Noir and got a side of fries ($5) and pickles ($5), as there is no better date night than wine and fries. One of the most underrated combinations in the food game. They are oddly reminiscent of Brandon Roy and Lamarcus Aldridge, just so underappreciated. We sat there, watching the USC and Florida football games on our respective phones between sips of Pinot Noir and bites of these phenomenal fries.
