I will say it did take a little while to get service at first, but honestly the incredible view and perfect weather made it easy to just relax and enjoy the moment while we waited. They started us off with warm sourdough bread and butter, which was the perfect touch. I ordered the prime rib sandwich on sourdough with au jus, and it was absolutely delicious, super flavorful and cooked perfectly. I also got the strawberry vanilla margarita with a sugar rim, and WOW... easily one of the best drinks I've had. So good. My grandparents each ordered the prime rib sliders without the bun with a loaded baked potato and made their own yummy creations, which they loved. The view was amazing and really made the whole experience, and our waitress, Paulina, was so kind and attentive once we got going. Definitely recommend if you're looking for great food, drinks, and a beautiful atmosphere!

Not sure what happened since the last time we were here but we did not enjoy our evening. For starters, they changed the recipe in the bread for the table, not a big deal, but definitely something to munch on while you are waiting for your meal. 2 out of 5. We ordered salads, steak, lobster, mushrooms, and potatoes. They brought it all out to the table at the same time, even the salad. Our steaks had no flavor and the lobster was very dry and rubbery. We were given some story about the candles being the wrong size for their butter warmers so our server brought us whipped butter for our lobsters..... huh? Given a choice between the warm dinner and a cold salad, the salad never was eaten. 0 out of 5. Out of the 14 tables that we could see in our section, only 4 were occupied. There was not another customer that came into our section during the entire time we were there. The service was just meh. Not sure if we will give them another chance.

The crowd is mixed: lots of older folks, but a nice mix of tattooed and hipster friends. The staff is friendly and helpful and damn.... The food is surprisingly delish! Do not sleep on the grilled cheese sammie - thick Texas toast and a cheese pull worthy of critical acclaim! We've also tried the fish & chips (with house-made hush puppies) and the chicken lettuce wraps - all were really good!

Everything is made differently with less flavor and finesse. The lettuce wraps used to be standout now they're dry and under seasoned. It's also presented differently which made for an awkward dining experience. I remember being blown away by the katsu chicken sandwhich the first time. This time it was gross. It was not fried like katsu but more so like a battered chicken breast. It always was not pounded flat into a uniform piece of meat but was more so a badly butchered breast that fell apart when you ate it. It was dry, under seasoned, fried way too hard and was stringy. I'd come for drinks and completely pass on the food all together. Not worth the high price tag associated with it. Karaoke DJ was stellar!!!!! Kept the party going and was so fun!!!!!

I started with the ube mocktail mule (choice of ube or prickly pear flavor). It was delicious and had a strong ube flavor! The entree I chose was the Herb Seared Salmon. It is not labeled gluten free, but can be made gluten free by swapping out the barley for a different side- I chose the citrus rice. It was all delicious! For dessert, there are actually two gluten free dessert options (unusual!) and sorbet! I chose the Maple Chai Torte and it was incredible! So flavorful and delicious! Lots of gluten free options here, and menu with the GF options labeled! And the views! Pretty strings of lights on the patio, and gorgeous mountain views!

We enjoyed the zero proof Pom Pom Press, and the complimentary jalapeño corn bread was really delicious! We shared the chips and salsa and the short rib tacos (we added on a 4th taco, but because they were so generously filled we could have just shared the 3!) The tacos were great - but the avocado salsa had absolutely no flavor. We added a generous squeeze of lime and a little salt and it was better. We loved the convenience of having a nice restaurant on site and we would definitely eat there again next time we're in town.

Overall, the resort is a great place to spend a weekend. It includes three outdoor pools with a…read more235-foot waterslide (the spa pool is adults only); a 27-hole championship golf course; a full-service spa with therapy baths, steam room, fitness center, and cabana rentals; hiking and biking trails with stunning views; a bocce court; and four restaurants offering Southwestern specialties and organic cuisine. But, there are some things to note, namely on cost: 1. There are great "summer" rates and packages available - they usually run from mid-May until just before Labor Day. 2. Valet parking is $42 a day - there really isn't another option. 3. The resort fee is $68.73 per day (that includes tax) 4. Food and drink are VERY pricey - especially breakfast and lunch (my small egg white omelet with greens on the side was $29). If you have the ability, use the To-Go coffee and bakery spot next to Core Kitchen & Bar. They are open until 11am everyday. 5. They do cater, fairly well, to gluten-free needs. Other things to note: We were in room 2805 - a beautiful, clean, and comfortable room. It was so nice to have a fire pit on our terrace to enjoy (as well as the wildlife that stopped by to say hi). Note that there is a sidewalk that runs the length of the hotel, right in front of the fire pits so during the day, it does not feel as private. The spa cabana was worth the price tag if you plan on wanting to be outside all day and want to keep cool in between soaking in the sun or swimming in the pool. It's also adults-only. The spa, itself is beautiful with every amenity you'd need for a relaxing day.
