Matt hit it outta the park once again ... the catch of the day was salmon, so delicious on a bed of risotto and edemame.

Decided to start my evening at The Vine House for their "Social Hour"... (who doesn't love a happy hour?!) I've had this place bookmarked for the longest, so it was about time! It's really cute inside from the pretty chandeliers to the vines draped down from trellis heading toward the back. I had a glass of the Lava Cap Barbera, olives marinees and a mini chorizo mac. The French onion soup also sounded really good, but since this isn't my only stop for the evening, I asked the waitress what she would choose between that and the mac. The olives had a nice savory flavor with a hint of citrus. For the girl that used to hate olives, there wasn't a single one remaining in the bowl. The level of cheesiness AND crunch achieved on the mini mac was perfection. The cheese layer toasted across the top was my favorite bite... every bite! (Chorizo is also always a win!) The menu is seasonal, so though photos are posted, you can expect it to change. (Not sure how frequently, as this is my first time in!) My waitress was super friendly and welcoming, and I look forward to coming back!

    Daily Special: Lamb

We ordered the French dip and the lamb. The lamb was incredibly tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly, though it was a little rich, so it was nice being able to switch back and forth with the French dip. The French dip was good and enjoyable, just not quite my personal favorite. Service was amazing and really stood out. Overall, a solid meal and great experience!

Can't get enough of this place. Food is always great and the service is the best. Now that they are making cocktails it has everything I need.

When we first arrived, some ladies that were leaving stopped us. The more mature of the duo suggested the shrimp bordelaise... Deliciousness! Our server, (I'm assuming her name was Tessa because of our receipt but after the first drink, I forgot my own name) was very sweet! She suggested the Fig Brie Prosciutto Tartine. It was amazing! The dance of textures and flavors was something I think everyone should experience in life. We chose to sit outside. The weather was nice! There was a little speaker outside so we had music. She even gave us a little fan to fend off flies! 10/10. I definitely recommend. If you're going to sit inside, bring a sweater!

Love this spot. Always my fav local wine happy hour. Their bruschetta is amazing. The wait staff is always friendly. Always make you feel glad you came in. Haven't tried brunch but have done a lot of dinner dates and haven't been disappointed.

This is a cute little restaurant. Love the decor and it gives a low key romantic feel to it. It's small, but the menu has a bunch of flavorful items. Wish they had more drink selections, but they do have a bunch of wines to select from! The Mac and cheese was delicious. Very saucy and you can taste the truffle. It was good perfectly. We also got a little starter for the table, wasn't pictured here. It was the fig Brie prosciutto. It was okay since I'm not big on prosciutto. But the spread was delicious. The girls wanted to try it out so I said why not. We had a wonderful server who helped us out with the menu. She knew the menu and steered us the right way with that to order. This was a great restaurant, definitely not one that people know about, but I'm hoping they find out.

This little area in Ripon has some amazing food options and the Vine House is on the top of that list. From the cozy ambiance to the fantastic and attention service, this is one of my favorite restaurants to go to in Ripon. They change their menu weekly so my food review may not apply, but their quality is top notch. Also make sure to check their website for their opening hours as Yelp is currently not up to date. I came for dinner and brunch and personally my favorite item from the dinner was actually the French Dip ($19) and for Breakfast/Brunch the The Vine House Benedict ($17) was a 10/10 as well. The French Dip doesn't come with sides, but it's filling as is and they use really high quality cuts of meat. The melted provolone and the au jus were perfect. For their breakfast I also love their Benedict because they spread spinach artichoke dip on the english muffine and it really makes it better than your standard Benedict. I would for sure come back to Vine House every time whenever I can because the great quality and service is unmatched.

The atmosphere was super welcoming and laid-back, which made it really easy for all of us to just relax, talk, and enjoy being together.Since it's a tap house, we went for the beer and they had a really good selection to choose from. There was something for everyone, and it made it fun trying different options and finding favorites. The staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which I really appreciated. Our waiter was Shayla she was so friendly and attentive. She made sure we were taken care of and added to the overall good experience. What stood out most was just how comfortable and enjoyable it felt. It's the kind of place you can go with family, laugh, and make good memories. I'll definitely be coming back again.

Lots of spots for instagrammable pictures. Service was nice and quick. Only one server and she was super friendly. I ordered the fish and chips- opted for the garlic fries. I was eager to try it after seeing pictures of it on IG. However I was left a bit disappointed. I got two pieces of fish that weren't very big. It was quite salty even with the lemon wedges. The garlic fries were decent, crispy but very greasy after taste. My best friend got the chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries. She was even more disappointed. She said the sandwich was too dry and the fries were soggy. I'm not sure if I'd give this place a try again.

Tasty or WasteY??? Tasty!!!…read moreI don't know why we never tried this place before a couple months ago. Probably because of the name. We tried it once and now we're hooked. This time we tried the steak nachos. What a tasty surprise! The best nachos I've had in years! I would highly recommend this place. And, not only is the food good, but the patio dining is relaxing. The waitress that works on Sundays is so attentive. She never lets our drink get less than halfway empty before she's bringing us a refill. The prices are great for the huge portions of food.

Horrible service experience…read more When we arrived, the restaurant was only about 30% full and there appeared to be four waitresses on duty. After seating ourselves as instructed, we waited nearly 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged us or came to our table. We ordered two drinks and an appetizer (cheese curds) and requested a beer flight. It then took another several minutes to receive a flight card, and additional time before another waitress finally came over to enter the order. By this point, we had already been waiting approximately 25 minutes. Nearly 30 minutes after being seated, I finally received my flight. The cheese curds never arrived. Shortly afterward, our entrées were delivered. To be fair, the food itself was good. The larger issue was the complete lack of attentiveness from the wait staff. During the time we were waiting, employees appeared more focused on talking amongst themselves and cleaning tables than monitoring customers. At one point, a waitress cleaned the table directly next to us and never acknowledged our presence. Customers should at least be greeted, acknowledged, and offered water shortly after being seated. Instead, we sat for nearly 15 minutes without any interaction whatsoever. If a self-seating system is being used, management needs to ensure staff are actively watching for incoming guests and providing prompt service. To make matters worse, when the bill arrived, we were still charged for the cheese curds that never came to the table. We had already asked two different waitresses about the missing appetizer. The charge was eventually addressed, but it should never have appeared on the bill in the first place. We visited on Sunday, June 14, at approximately 2:45 PM. Our food arrived roughly 75 minutes after we first sat down. We left a $0 tip, which is extremely unusual for us. We normally tip 20-30% for good service, but the service on this visit did not warrant any gratuity. Management should review what occurred during this shift, including staff performance and table coverage procedures. Based on our experience, there were clear failures in customer service, communication, and basic attentiveness. Unless we receive an apology from management and some indication that these issues are being addressed, we do not plan to return. Potential customers should be prepared for slow and highly inconsistent service.

But this place brags on having good garlic fries ...I don't know how. They aren't even sliced potatoes, bc they're made from a packaged substance ...nasty. Service???? Hahahahaha I have found better service at a bowling alley. Choose your seat, nobody tells you the rules, look in the menu & hunt down someone when you make your choice. Be sure to ask for condiments, utensils, salt/pepper, napkins & they will bring you a can of soda. The server was "nice" but he didn't know if the fish are battered & deep fried or if they're frozen & re-heated. Didn't check on us even one time until he brought the bill. Oh yeah, he forgot to give us back our credit card & when we finally found it the card was up on this huge public space counter just laying there out in the open for anyone to steal it. Atmosphere - have you ever seen a guy get a tattoo while you have dinner? Well you will at The Post. Yup, just 4 booths over a lady had a tattoo bed arranged & she did 3 tattoos while we struggled through this experience. Just outside the glass door to the rear of the restaurant was a "pop-up" event ...not bad, but the extra loud music was competing with the music image restaurant & it was kinda annoying. I've said enough & trust me there is more, but you won't want to hear it, maybe you should go throw 3 or 4 twenty dollar bills on lousy food & service & enjoy the experience yourself. Stay away from this place, I went & did the struggle for you & have now wrote about it.
