This is a wonderful spot in Jackson just a short drive from "downtown." They are very friendly, plus, the pool and fire pit grounds are amazing. Since it is a lodge, you will be able to back your vehicle right up to your front door which makes it super easy. They put my family on the left side of the hotel (looking at the main entrance) and it was perfect. Reason being, this is a party hot-spot at night. I went for a walk around 11pm and noticed the place was crazy. My family was well removed from it because of where our room was. No worries. They got it down. I definitely recommend this place from a family perspective, and jealous that I am no longer 25 or I would have snagged a beer inside. Side note, amazing bbq is for takeaway connected to the lodge. Campground is rundown and no WiFi. Price is ridiculous for the age and amenities. Would not accommodate a late check out. Staff was friendly. I guess they are the closest to town and know they can get the price? Too bad someone can't open a newer and nicer RV park in such a nice and beautiful wealthy town. read more

Definitely a Western flavor to the hotel. There is a nice restaurant attached, as well as a very good burger place! Our room was spacious, and I expected that for what we paid. The TV had no streaming channels. It was located on a very busy street, so left turns required much caution. The courtyard was large and open with 5 or 6 firepits. One free smores is offered daily. Emphasis on socializing. The shower was a bit tricky. Unfortunately, there are broken and cracked walkways that can be tripping hazards, so watch where you walk. read more

The hotel was cute and the bed was comfortable. The air conditioning window units were extremely noisy. The room bedding, linens and robes did not have a pleasant clean smell. The staff were very nice and helpful. Unfortunately, the hotel had a public, pool party and our room pulsated with obnoxious beats. The patrons were drunk and nasty. A couple of the men were dressed in women's bathing suits. Not cool to expose children to such a freak show. We paid too much for our stay to put up with these vile people. read more

The guy that took us to our campsite was not very nice to my son that was driving our toad for the first time. He pulled in next to us instead of following us behind. The guy made a big deal of it. After a long day in Grand Teton National Park, the Virginian Lodge was what we needed. It's a clean, renovated hotel right in Jackson Hole with cozy, mountain-esq rooms with glamping vibe grounds. There are many places to post up to a campfire & a bar + restaurant onsite. We happened to stay on a night with live music. The pool is large with a gorgeous view of the mountains behind you. I stayed here one night while visiting Jackson Hole. The lodge has so much history and surprisingly many amenities such as fire pits, diner, free coffee in the lobby, and live music. The staff was pleasant and welcoming. We didn't have time to explore the entire hotel, but I was impressed with the renovations. The hotel is near many stores (grocery, food, shopping, bank) and downtown. Our room was cozy and so modern. It looked exactly like the photos. I'm a light sleeper, so I could hear cars going by, but overall I slept well and loved the small dimmable reading light by each bed. Overall, I was happy with my stay and the price. We always stay at The Virg when we ski JH! Super cute "motel" with onsite restaurants, bar, ski/board rentals, and cush shuttle to ski resort. Huge hot tubs and heated pool as well as fire pits and "igloos" throughout the courtyard. Complimentary coffee, tea, hot cocoa, and cider in the lobby as well as nightly smores (7-9pm). Really reasonably priced for all you get. The strip mall next door has two great restaurants: Eleanor's which you access through a liquor store and China Fun, the "only" authentic Chinese Restaurant in Jackson! read more

The walls were really thin and you could hear the next room. For the price of the room, I was disappointed.

Easy access, nice clean rooms, no loud groups, breakfast was adequate in a nice booth seating area. The indoor pool and hot tub were a nice reprieve from driving I had to go to the front desk to get the towels to be restocked due to a greedy guest grabbing 3 towels for all her family members. We started our check in process with Walter. He was such a delight and so informative. Our first dinner at Billy's burgers and drinks at the saloon! A couple visits to the beautiful and cozy lobby for hot coco breaks. We had a complementary 1pm check out thanks to Ellie. The Virginian has a charm that genuinely took my breath away. This property is so well maintained. It's like they have preserved a beautiful antique in Jackson. The Virginian lodge surpasses any place in Jackson in my opinion because you have the privacy and views but at a 5 minute Uber drive to cowboy bar! You know it's a fantastic getaway when you are sad at check out. I did not want to part ways with this place. We will certainly be back! The comfort of our room was incredible. CLEAN!!!! The king bed was so comfortable the location being ideal. Being able to walk to everything on property is the luxury! The Virginian Lodge could not have done an over all better job. This place is filled with love and care. From check in to breakfast to Billy's and the saloon. This should be Jackson's number one choice for vacations. read more

Stayed here on a whim we arrived in Jackson Hole a day early and needed a place to crash for the night. Virginian had availability and made check in a breeze. We were greeted with a smile even so late in the evening. Beautiful courtyard with fire pits, pool, & hot tub. Extremely clean. Newly renovated rooms. I plan to stay here next summer! I would give it minus stars if possible. We made reservations at the first of the year having been told all amenities were available. When we arrived today we were told 75% of amenities are unavailable. I mentioned they should not charge us full price for providing so little. Blank look is what I got in return. We explained that when we booked we were told all amenities were available. . Ok, so you can't provide what you promised . How about not charging us full price. . Nothing. . I absolutely loved my stay at this place. It has been recently remodeled and the room felt very nice/trendy, clean and comfortable while still feeling cozy with that country feel. They offer free s'mores for the firepits from 7-9 which we loved taking advantage of, the pool/hot tub area is absolutely gorgeous as well with teepee's surrounding. There was one woman working the night shift that was just so kind to us, we were being kind of noisy hanging out in the lobby late night and she made us feel right at home and welcome there. I will absolutely come back next time I'm in the area Hot tip: make sure you go to the restaurant as well, their fluffy French toast, pancakes and giant cinnamon roll were all big hits! read more

y event crew of 14 and myself spent a week here. Very accommodating staff, comfy bed and the best pillows I've ever had in a hotel! The hot tub spas were a plus after long work days. The only drawback was no microwave in my room. After 10-12 hour days I didn't feel like sitting in a restaurant and would have loved to just zap a frozen dinner. Overall a great experience. Overall, this was a fine (but spendy) hotel. The room was newly renovated, the shower was great, and the beds were comfortable. The coffee cups were too large to fit in the coffee maker but that was no biggie since they had fine coffee in the lobby. The real bummer at this hotel was at checkout when we were slapped with a **surprise**surprise** "Resort Fee". Really??? Now why didn't they charge us this fee when we arrived - or at least tell us it was coming? We've traveled across the country and back and never run into this before. Very annoying and rude. The good: Renovated rooms (if you get one) with modern bathrooms. Solid courtyard amenities with a pool and firepits. The bad: Rooms not ready at check-in time. Three days with no hot water whatsoever. Staff were super rude. No overhead lighting in rooms, which means you rely on two tiny bedside lamps for all your light. Motel style, so if you're on the outside of the building anyone driving by is looking directly into your room. This would be fine as a cheapo motel, although I would expect hot water even there. For the price, this place is a joke. read more

I'm a fan of the Virginian Lodge. It met all the criteria I was looking for while exploring incredibly beautiful Grand Teton National Park while eventually heading to Yellowstone NP on a week long adventure. I decided this year I'd like to see Grand Teton and Yellowstone NP's so I flew into Salt Lake City, Utah for a reasonably priced flight and then rented a car and drove 5 hours north to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. This is the most logical route to take as flying into Jackson Hole Airport saves time and energy, but is ultra expensive at the same time. I didn't mind taking the drive from Salt Lake as I made a fun filled stop at Flaming Gorge Reservoir along the way. But onto the Virginian....this place is affordable! It's situated right on the outskirts of the amazing mountain town of Jackson Hole. I spent 2 evenings here while exploring Grand Teton National Park over 2 days. From the Virginian, it's a simple 5 minute drive to the heart of Jackson Hole and the iconic antler arches! Also here in downtown Jackson Hole, you have plenty of restaurants, gift shops and quaint streets with which to walk around on. Then heading to Grand Teton National Park, it's anywhere from 20 - 40 miles away depending on where you consider the views and sights to begin. What I'm trying to say is...it's a nice drive! In all my itinerary from SLC....I drove to Grand Teton NP on Day 1 of my trip...spent my 1st evening at the Virginian, returned to Grand Teton NP on Day 2 and came back to the Virginian on my 2nd evening, and finally on Day 3 left the Virginian and drove through Grand Teton NP making my way over to Yellowstone for the remainder of my journey! Since I knew this was a very popular trip and both national parks are some of the most popular parks to visit in the country, I booked my stay at the Virginian EARLY. I visited in the middle of May this year and had my reservations booked here by the end of February. Because of this I sort of got first dibs on the lowest prices around. For both of my evening stays here, it was $64 per night. That's a great deal I found because if you wait till later in the year to book, places fill up fast and prices start rising as rooms get booked. I'd say the Virginian could be one of the cheapest places to stay in Jackson Hole, yet accommodations were real nice! And like I mentioned it's virtually in the heart of Jackson with plenty of restaurants around and sights to see. Also, the Virginian has 2 of their own restaurants on either side of the lodge, the Virginian Saloon on one side and the Virginian Restaurant on the other. Inside the lobby while checking in....it's real clean inside with a rustic/cabin/mountain lodge feel to it. At that moment I had a good feeling about this place. On the grounds...it's like 1 long square of single story rooms from the outside in...and the inside out. What I mean is, you have room after room after room going all around the property. I was fortunate as my room was located on the INNER PORTION of the lodge where you feel much more privacy and seclusion from the outside road and happenings along the main street of Jackson. Also, there's a giant patch of grass in the middle of the square that blends well with the isolation of your room. Basically, I was a fan of my room and the location of where I stayed. Lol, it'll be easier to understand what I'm saying when I post a photo. My room was great for me. It was clean and simple with a rustic feel that always wins me over, lol. So I was real happy with my experience here at the Virginian. And for Jackson Hole being such a popular tourist destination, the value for the accommodations cannot be beat. I'm sure when in season, rates in all of Jackson can be sky high. But not here....this place was a gem for me! I highly recommend giving the Virginian Lodge a chance. Finally, from here at the Virginian, I ate at Bubba's BBQ restaurant just down the street (popular and affordable, I recommend), Pinky G's Pizzeria another few minutes away (I recommend) and for breakfast twice I had a nice meal next door at the Virginian Restaurant (recommend). read more

Hotel stay was a five star experience. The laundry was terrible. Hot, machines broken, change machine out of order and front desk only had a dollar for change. Had to go to next door liquor store for change. That's it for the bad. Room is freshly renovated with good appointments. Loved the new shower head. Bathroom had a cool sliding style barn door. Complimentary sparkling water was a nice touch. The bar and game room are closed for renovation. I assume the laundry will be next to be updated (repaired at least). I would have rated a full five if not for the horrible laundry experience. read more

I don't know why everyone gives this place such horrible reviews, honestly it's not bad at all. We only stayed a night, booked it last minute and we're happy to find the opening. Usually we stay in Marriott and not motel-type hotels, I was kind of skeptical but there was no choice as we booked last-minute after staying j. Yellowstone. Cheaper then we paid 3 days ago for a trendy place in a better location but worse accommodation. We had an updated room that had new bathroom, new carpet and furniture. Our room was spacious and had king sized bed with comfortable mattress and new linens. Towels in the bathroom were good too, thick and newish. The bathroom is updated, clean, but the water splashes get all over the floor as the glass isn't big enough (( Large new tv, which was a plus as well as sparkling water. Stuff was nice but kind of clueless - they gave our reservation to the guest who booked different room ( he had the same name but different last name, only the first letter was the same; not sure how they made mistake like that) and couldn't figure it out for like 30 min. But the issue was resolved and we got the exact same room. Overall, it's really not bad place to stay! read more

Rooms are pretty old and would need to be refreshed. We took a suite for 5, the kitchen was old and the surfaces needs to be redone. The roll away bed was very uncomfortable and so was the sofa bed. The location of the hotel is nice. read more

Very cute hotel. We stayed for our honeymoon. The staff was friendly and they had s'mores and lots of activities. Our room was facing the courtyard which ended up being a bit of a problem the last night as they were playing music in the dance hall and we had an early flight the next day. We expressed concern to the front desk and they closed the doors after about 30 min but it didn't help. Overall I'd definitely recommend the Virginian! read more

My wife and I had a great stay here. The facilities are very nice after the remodel. We loved all the friendly staff and amenities, including the shop and liquor store right on property. The room we had was very spacious and comfortable. The nice bed, 2 big closets, nice kitchenette, overhead rain shower and plenty of places to hang our wet clothes after our outdoor winter activities. A great memory for us is when we were using the hot tub and it was pouring down snow like crazy, glad we could use that in the winter time. We would recommend for anyone to stay here no matter what season you are in Jackson WY. read more
