Throwback spot done right. The Virginian is a great option when staying in Jackson Hole. The property is clean, maintained, and fresh. Offers on sight a burger restaurant, liquor store, bar, pool with hot tubs, and chill lobby. Friendly staff too.

Definitely a Western flavor to the hotel. There is a nice restaurant attached, as well as a very good burger place! Our room was spacious, and I expected that for what we paid. The TV had no streaming channels. It was located on a very busy street, so left turns required much caution. The courtyard was large and open with 5 or 6 firepits. One free smores is offered daily. Emphasis on socializing. The shower was a bit tricky. Unfortunately, there are broken and cracked walkways that can be tripping hazards, so watch where you walk.

Clean and outstanding accommodations! We loved this quirky and neat throwback motel style property that had all the amenities of an upgraded hotel. The pool was clean and fun while the courtyard was the perfect spot for a drink or game from afternoon to evening. We loved meeting people out after a day of hiking and sharing stories. Our room was clean, well laid out and had a ton of great storage and holding space for gear and cowboy hats! Beds were comfy and overall the entire space was safe and well managed.

After a long day in Grand Teton National Park, the Virginian Lodge was what we needed. It's a clean, renovated hotel right in Jackson Hole with cozy, mountain-esq rooms with glamping vibe grounds. There are many places to post up to a campfire & a bar + restaurant onsite. We happened to stay on a night with live music. The pool is large with a gorgeous view of the mountains behind you. The hottub was perfect after a long day on the trials. I hope to be back.

I stayed here one night while visiting Jackson Hole. The lodge has so much history and surprisingly many amenities such as fire pits, diner, free coffee in the lobby, and live music. The staff was pleasant and welcoming. We didn't have time to explore the entire hotel, but I was impressed with the renovations. The hotel is near many stores (grocery, food, shopping, bank) and downtown. Our room was cozy and so modern. It looked exactly like the photos. I'm a light sleeper, so I could hear cars going by, but overall I slept well and loved the small dimmable reading light by each bed. Overall, I was happy with my stay and the price. I would stay here again in the future.

We always stay at The Virg when we ski JH! Super cute "motel" with onsite restaurants, bar, ski/board rentals, and cush shuttle to ski resort. Huge hot tubs and heated pool as well as fire pits and "igloos" throughout the courtyard. Complimentary coffee, tea, hot cocoa, and cider in the lobby as well as nightly smores (7-9pm). Really reasonably priced for all you get. The strip mall next door has two great restaurants: Eleanor's which you access through a liquor store and China Fun, the "only" authentic Chinese Restaurant in Jackson!

This place was awesome. They have a liquor store, saloon, restaurant, pool, jacuzzis. And new large rooms which are great for groups and all your stuff. Our room had a beautiful morning view of the mountains. And the saloon was poppin' at night. It's clean and comfortable. I highly recommend. It's also super reasonably priced.

The walls were really thin and you could hear the next room. For the price of the room, I was disappointed.

It looks and (almost) feels like what they describe it to be... So we bookended our hiking trip there... the first night we dropped into the restaurant but after being sprayed with cleaner as the hostess washed the table next to us, we wandered away... it was chlorine on my and my girls skin and clothes. When we returned from the wilderness, all we wanted was a quiet evening. Now, Jackson is Disneyland for cowboy LARP participants so that's a tall order as we discovered, but it turns out that our suite was directly below the rooftop bar where that evening there was some sort of event. It sounded like a wrestling match was happening upstairs, with a driving EDM soundtrack that kept getting louder as the evening went on. I went upstairs at 11 to find staff sitting at the bar drinking with the music so loud they had to turn it down to hear me tell them that we were trying to sleep downstairs... someone offered me a drink to compensate for the noise. I went downstairs to find the manager, but was told by the front desk person that the owner herself was the one who had offered me a drink. We have received no communication from the hotel after both of us repeated this chain of events to employees at the front desk. I expect that this is simply how they operate and view it as somehow acceptable. Hopefully if you are looking for a quiet place to stay you'll steer clear. I'm torn writing this since the Valet, Bell, Concierge, and Restaurant staff (barring the hostess) were all lovely and helpful and really deserve to be in a better situation.

Turns out the rooftop hotel bar ("The Cloudveil") is only opened during the peak summer months, and I came late May 2026 and was informed that unfortunately they weren't opened yet. The hotel isn't very tall but none of the buildings around Jackson square are, so I'm sure from the rooftop bar you'd get a gorgeous view over the square! That said - the hotel lobby is lovely and the staff are friendly and helpful. The lobby bathrooms are immaculate. If you eat at the attached restaurant on the ground level (adjacent to the lobby), it's a wonderful experience. Overall, I don't know how the rooms are in this hotel, but all the other features (restaurant, location, theoretical rooftop bar that wasn't open yet) are all excellent. I'd come back just to eat at the bistro alone, so it's certainly a place I'd consider staying .
