We just spent four nights at the Rusty Parrot after a week in Bozeman and Yellowstone, and it was the perfect way to finish our trip. The service was first class from the moment we arrived. Isaiah greeted us at the valet, welcomed us, took our keys and luggage, and told us to go check in and he would take care of everything and meet us at our room. What a great first impression! The lady who checked us in then personally walked us to our room, showed us its features, and told us about the coffee bar, spa, outdoor seating areas, and everything the hotel had to offer. That level of personal service continued throughout our stay. Every employee was friendly, welcoming, and constantly asking if there was anything they could do for us. Our room and beds were great, and we loved the coffee bar just outside our room. The outdoor areas were beautiful, especially the peaceful mountain-view area near the stream and the larger rooftop deck with the fireplace and fire pit. The location is fantastic--only about a block from Jackson's Town Square, so we could walk almost everywhere. Beautiful hotel, great location, comfortable rooms, but what really sets the Rusty Parrot apart is the people and the service. First class all the way around. This is the premier hotel in Jackson town easy walk to all the stores but a couple blocks out of the main drag so you avoid a lot of the late night corral team. Loud noise and traffic spa is great boots wonderful check it out. read more

This place ROCKS!!! - Modern - the brass bathroom hardware and tile and granite and tub and shower was tea! The bath salts and bath products and the awesome blow dryer and robes and slippers rocked! - The full length mirror and sitting area to out shoes on or take them off was thoughtful. - The Teddy Bears and notes to our family were a cute touch as we were celebrating a lot. - The beds are wayyyyyyyyy comfy!! Best ever!!! - The stickers, postcards and letterhead were nice touch as was the dark and milk chocolate truffles with salt! - The cute refrigerator drawer with the aluminum can GTNP waters was a nice local touch. - And the free popcorn and bars was a nice touch as well. - The throw blanket is nice and the extra blankets are super warm. - Lighting was great on a corner room. Eg 329. - The lounge on floor 2 with all day coffee and tea was so nice. The observation deck with the outdoor fire pit and wildlife viewing deck with the telescope was fantastic! - Restaurant and bar, spa, outdoor waiting area for the spa, hot tub, outdoor sitting area, handmade jewelry in the lobby, all awesome options. - And the free rental of electric or manual bikes to scoot around town is cool too! The loaner umbrellas was also great. - And the pillow spray and eye mask was perfect! - The staff went above and beyond, they genuinely care and are so happy and helpful! Service is top notch! They went out of their way to find us great restaurant options fairly late. - Very walkable to town, parking is easy and the river and mountain right next to it is so serene. We just returned from a 7-night stay, and this hotel is incredible. They really do think of everything to make your stay memorable. Just got home from a wonderful trip out West. It was all of ours first time staying at the Rusty Parrot and we will be back. It has a 5star feel as well as if you were staying with your close friend. The staff was wonderful but Will was the BEST! It was such a treat to have an actual wood burning fireplace in the rooms. We found the sitting area on the third floor to be our favorite spot. We were so comfortable and relaxed on our first night that we actually skipped dinner....or it could have been because we filled up on a brownie and a cup of tea by the fire! The rooms are clean and quite! We loved the l'occitane bath products. We will be ordering the shower oil. Next time we will for sure hit up the spa. Highly recommend this Lodge and the restaurant. Anyone can put together a decent hotel these days. Nice rooms, nice linens, clean bathrooms...blablabla. But it takes a truly excellent staff to make the stay there something that stands out. The Rusty Parrot delivers on all the normal, nice hotel stuff. Where they separate themselves from everyone else is the staff. We showed up at 11pm after a long drive in the snow from Salt Lake. Two guys greeted us, got us quickly checked in, and were amazingly pleasant for 11pm. Anyone can carry your bags to your room and try to make you feel welcome. Jared and Eagan went the extra step of making sure everything was perfect. As I write this, I realize that everything nice I want to say about the Parrot and the staff should be standard fare for any luxury hotel. But our stay this week really felt like it combined the feeling of a small B&B or guest house, yet we had the amenities of a great hotel. To a person, everyone we came in contact with was fantastic. Deserves 10 Stars. This family-owned boutique hotel is exceptional in every way. We stayed with them for 8 days this month--4 more than expected due to epic snow. First and foremost--ALL of the staff are so friendly, professional, warm, genuine- I just can't say enough every single person that works here. The restaurant is the best in Jackson Hole, the rooms are lovely with THE most comfortable beds, and as several other reviews have mentioned--the turndown service with THOSE chocolates and the warm cookies at 4PM. Their touches of stellar customer service, quality and comfort are rare these days. We will never stay anywhere else in Jackson Hole and wish that other hotels around the country could emulate The Rusty Parrot Lodge. read more

In off season, it was ~$500 a night for a standard room. Which was more than I felt it was worth. Aside from the high price per night, what bothered me more, was taking a bath and looking up at black mold on the ceiling. Secondly, we had requested a fireplace and when we were checking in we were told our wish had been granted. However, there was no fireplace in our room. When I went to ask at the counter, I was told, "sorry, but there are no other rooms." Kinda crappy customer experience. The positives, the cookies and the bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever laid on. However, not $500 comfortable. read more

The Rusty Parrot is well known to travelers who frequent Jackson, Wyoming, and it's a well-situated hotel in the north part of the city. It has only 30-something rooms, so it feels more like a country B&B than a hotel. The irony is that you'll pay big city hotel prices for this B&B feel and ambiance. The hotel rooms are nicely decorated in natural wood and locally produced furniture; this kind of touch basically screams out to couples looking for a romantic woodsy-earthy getaway. The in-room jacuzzi is awesome and makes anyone ready to strip it all off. If you are an adult couple, sure, this place is a great place to stay and gives you easy walking to city eateries, watering holes, and shops. Mind you: there are no kitchen-like appliances in the rooms. No coffee maker. No microwave. No mini-fridge. I understand the omission, but it was inconvenient, especially for couples who want to room in. If you have small children and want my opinion, I would not recommend Rusty Parrot. The lack of food-prep amenities is a huge disadvantage for families with small children, not to mention adults who want coffee and tea without leaving the room. There was just nothing about the hotel that screamed "family-friendly" or "we love families." Case in point: when we were eating breakfast, we asked for a high chair, and it took someone *15 minutes* to bring one in, and the tray was missing/not to be found. We had breakfast included with our stay, and we used breakfast service every morning. It was good: the food was tasty and prepared fresh in the open kitchen. There was a changing specials gourmet menu every morning. However, the breakfast at the regular price of $20 would not have been worth it! We didn't check out the dinner service at the hotel restaurant because the info about it practically shouted that kids under a certain age couldn't be allowed, and you could see the restaurant just in passing through the lobby...definitely a no-kids kind of place. Last but not least, I left a couple of items by accident on checkout day, and the front desk told my husband that nothing was found from our room, otherwise the hotel would have contacted us. That's not true because I DID leave things behind in my packing rush, and I would have appreciated a better reply such as "What did you leave?" and "We'll look into it and get back to you." I remember where I left my watch. I don't entirely blame management for housekeeping's failure to report forgotten jewelry, but the whole thing did not inspire confidence in the hotel at all. Major, major points docked here! I'm sure that couples and families with teens would find this hotel great, but for me and my family, it didn't quite cut it -- and it was overpriced for what it was. read more

Worth every penny! The staff was extremely attentive but not in your face, the decor was beautiful with great attention to detail. The style was upscale rustic. The restaurant is fantastic and room service comes quickly with the food still nice & hot. They have a library area upstairs with a fireplace and complimentary coffee and tea 24x7. It's good coffee, too. There is an outdoors area where you can sit quietly in the summer and soak in the sun, or be shaded by a large umbrella. They also have an outdoor hot tub which must be fun in the winter! I cannot say enough good things about the Rusty Parrot. I highly recommend them. read more

We recently spent five nights here. The staff is exceptional. The rooms are very nice and each has a wood burning fireplace that they will light upon request. The restaurant serves breakfast and dinner. Return guests get breakfast included with the price of the room. We ate breakfast here each day. It was very good. While the menu was fairly small, the chef accommodated most any breakfast request. We dined in the restaurant, The Wild Sage, one night. Again, the service was as good as any high end restaurant and the food was outstanding. The Bison short ribs were great! The lodge offers transportation twice a day to the ski resort but unfortunately does not offer transfers to the airport. We really enjoyed our stay and will return. read more

I miss the Rusty Parrot Lodge so much. My new bride and I celebrated our honeymoon at the Rusty Parrot, and all we can say at the end of it all was that we wished we stayed longer. When we first entered the lobby we were immediately greeted by their staff, and as soon as they knew who we were they were even more ecstatic to have us there. The entire atmosphere there was so homey and heavenly. The service there was so above and beyond that it makes the Ritz Carlton feel like a Holiday Inn. They probably would have clipped our toe nails if we had asked, but we did not.....because we have class. Every day they had fresh hot apple cider and coffee and fresh baked cookies in front of the fire place and they gave us delicious chocolate every night.They accommodated to every request we made. The entire staff was so amazing and the service was superb, but the one individual I have to give a huge shout out to is Adrian. That guy is one of a kind and took care of us every day. He made our fire place every day and he was so pleasant to talk with. But the main reason for this shout out is because of something he really went above and beyond for. One afternoon I was really craving hot chocolate and I asked the front desk if I could get some. And unexpectedly my boy Adrian volunteered to make his famous hot chocolate. And this was no water and powder hot chocolate, this was real chocolate and steeped milk. And it was not just a cup of hot chocolate, it was a pitcher of delicious hot chocolate! We will definitely be coming back and will request the same room again and again. This was the best vacation we have ever had and best of all is that everything I mentioned above, as much as I wish it was all because we were on our honeymoon, I really know that everything would have happened the same way even if we were just regular guests. We loved our stay here. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome and did a great job of anticipating needs. They assisted us before we arrived with help and suggestions of places to eat, things to do, and tips for our visit. They were always prompt and professional. They greeted us by name every time we came and went during our stay and made sure we'd enjoyed ourselves. They helped work through connections with third party contracts and had all of it billed to our room. The rooms were large and comfortable. The amenities included a library, lounge, deck with hot tub, fireplace, and a wonderful restaurant. We also made use of the spa and loved it. The location was within walking distance to so many restaurants and all the shopping, yet removed just enough so that we didn't get a lot of noise from traffic and other tourists enjoying Jackson. The room was so cozy and comfortable, great bathroom and bedroom (bed was so comfortable!!). Loved the quaint bar and cozy library with a fireplace that offered coffee and tea all day (cookies or brownies in the afternoon). The restaurant offered delicious food. I had one of the best massages I've ever had at the spa. The hotel was walking distance from town and easily accessible to all restaurants and shops. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Rusty Parrot Lodge. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. The rooms are VERY clean and comfortable. The location is prefect and close enough to the downtown area where there are restaurants and shops. They provide fresh spring filtered water daily which was helpful and a nice touch when people usually charge an arm and a leg for water bottles. In the afternoon they have coffee, tea, and freshly made cookies for guests. All of these nice touches provided for such a nice stay. I couldn't have asked for more. We honeymooned here 20 years ago and we were thrilled to return for our anniversary this summer. We were treated like royalty! The rooms are cowboy chic. The bedding was amazing--like sleeping in a cloud. Breakfast was delicious. The constant free coffee was much appreciated. Their attention to detail impressed me--from the chocolates at turn down to the freshest baked cookies--they even sent us off with trail mix. The service is impeccable, the room (we stayed in the Owners Suite) was incredible and in general I can't recommend the hotel, staff and onsite 5 star restaurant enough. All within easy waking distance of everything in town without the noise of town. The staff pointed me in the right direction and I saw a Grizzly Bear (they now know who is writing this review!) - amazingly knowledgeable staff about the local and not so local area. This was an awesome family run hotel. My husband and I stayed here for a few days during the early spring. The hotel is small, but very well kept. They had great attention to detail with all of their customers. Four instance, they would come and build a fire in the fireplace in many of the rooms. They also had a daily cookie and hot cider bar available at 4 PM, which my husband really enjoyed. We also enjoyed meeting the handyman Vic who was always helpful with location and Animal sighting advice in the Grand Tetons. The rooms in the hotel were very nice and had a very cozy cabin feel. The hotel also has a very nicely renovated spa located across the parking lot. I got a massage while I was staying at the hotel and I enjoyed it very much. If we come to Jackson Hole again we will definitely be staying at this hotel. read more

The staff attended to our every need...ones we were aware of & about a dozen we didn't. We spent the night in a garden level room with fireplace...not a gas fireplace, a real fireplace...real logs...real romantic. The room was fantastic, well worth the off season last minute price we paid. I'd pay seasonal rates off season. The experience was THAT awesome. Used the spa for a couples massage, again fantastic. Had dinner at the Wild Sage, (seperate review), again awesome. We decided to have breakfast out only because we needed to be able to say to friends that we actually left the hotel. Received a call from the hotel stating that we had left some items & volunteered to mail it, no charge. This is as good as it gets....The Ritz quality & service at a very fair price. read more

This is just an exceptionally well-run spot. It's clear the culture is all about personalized customer service and it shows. My son and I enjoyed a 5 day stay, which included comfy beds, white glove service to and from the mountain for skiing each day, wonderful food, great location within wonderful Jackson Hole, fresh cookies and treats daily, a lovely hot tub with perfect mountain views, and many other amenities. I want to particularly thank RPL for their caring attention when I needed to make a trip to the ER. My friend and I had a 1-1/2hr. full body massage. I had Sarah and I was very pleased. She is professional, kind and does a GREAT job. I've had many massages and Sarah is excellent. One of the best massages I've ever had. The staff was very nice and made us feel welcome. They welcomed us with spa water. We had mandarin oranges and homemade cookies. The place is super clean.
