In all fairness, I am not a good patient. I don't do annual exams like I probably should. I'm also not at all into spending a ton of money on frames that have a fancy brand name on them. I'm a fitness instructor and I'm HARD on my glasses. I don't see the point in dumping a ton of my hard earned money into frames that are going to be falling off my face from time to time while I'm doing burpees, push ups or various other exercises that challenge even the most high end frames to stay on my face. This review has nothing to do with the service we received from the receptionist who checked us in or even the young lady who took me to room to dilate my eyes. She was doing her job when she tried to sell me on the out of pocket eye health exam. I politely declined and she showed no disappointment and kindly escorted me to the next room to await my exam given by the optometrist. I don't recall his name. When he walked in he greeted me with a friendly hello and introduced himself. I came in bc I was way over due for an exam but mostly I had developed a "floater" in my eye. He took his time explaining what it was, how they develop and basically, nothing can be done. They are common & not serious. He determined my vision had declined & it was time for new lenses. After my exam he directed me to another young lady who was in charge of helping with frames. Here's where I knock off 2 stars. She was not outwardly rude, but she was not friendly at all. I told her upfront, I'm cheap, not impressed with name brands, and need hardy frames bc of the nature of my job. I thought this was a fair and more realistic way to start the frame shopping. This way I didn't waist her time by letting her show me a bunch of expensive frames that I wouldn't buy. I'm a "let's skip the fluff & get to the point" kind of woman. I was not rude either. I'm direct, but still polite. She immediately shifted her demeanor. My husband picked up on it too and mentioned it on our way to the car. Again, she wasn't nasty, just not friendly. She showed me the cheaper frames that would be about $120 out of pocket after our insurance co-pay. I picked out a Converse frame. They were plain, basic but just what I need for my lifestyle. I felt her judgement and thats fine. However, it does impact my review. She did take the time to sit us down let me try them on and then we were on our way. It was a cold interaction. Maybe she's that way with everybody? I even commented on how pretty her blinged out Golden Knights pen was. Barley cracked a smile. At the end of the day, majority of the interaction and exam itself was pleasant. The young woman who is supposed to close the deal on the frames, which is where this business truly makes their money, could use a hug. We likely won't come back for the passive aggressive judgment. 3 stars is all I can give unfortunately. read more

Their website said they are open on Saturdays. I went here today for an eye exam and to buy eyeglasses, but they were closed. I called before I went there and there was no answer, then I received a bot text message that said they are busy so they can't answer the phone. They falsely lead me to believe they were open and in the office but they were just busy. They didn't even have the courtesy to put a message on their answering machine or text message letting customers know they will be closed on that day, they made me go there for nothing. I do not recommend this eye doctor, they don't care about wasting peoples time. read more

Eye exams, contacts & glasses are expensive, even with vision insurance. So when I completely lost my balance with my new $359 glasses from Costco, I went back to The Vision Center to find out why. The optometrist determined that the new Rx was essentially 'too big of a jump" and didn't take into account side effects that happened to me. As a result, my new glasses were completely unusable. The problem isn't that a mistake was made. The problem is that The Vision Center refused to replace the new lenses because I purchased glasses from Costco. So, I paid them for an eye exam, a contact prescription and the glasses prescription, but they weren't willing to stand by their so-called expert opinion/diagnosis. They said Costco should replace the lenses, which is completely unreasonable because Costco didn't test my eyes or write the Rx, they just filled the TVC optometrist's prescription. Lastly, be sure and check your bill because my insurance provider told me they overcharged me. It was less than $12 and The Vision Center offered to apply it to next year's exam, but that was only after I told them I knew I was overcharged. The Vision Center knows exactly what their insurance contracts are, so it's not clear why there would be a credit anyway. read more

First let start by saying this place sucks!!!!!! If on Tuesday you make an appointment for Wednesday, which is the next day and cancel the day of the appointment you have less than 24 hours to cancel obviously. Why would they try and use your insurance benefit, even though you cancel the appointment. I don't have 24 hours to cancel if the appointment was scheduled the day before. read more

I switched to Vision Centers due to availability, but now will be coming back. The staff are friendly and efficient. I was in an out in an hour. I lost my glasses and they were courteous enough to call the lab and ask for a rush. The customer service here is legit! read more

Very disappointed the optometrist Shai does not care about my vision or if i kill my self or kill someone while driving 4 times coming in letting her know my new glasses are blurry and i cant see well She keeps saying give them a week each time i go then she called me crazy and the sad part is that my son heard her say it to her other coworkers i talked to Shai about it and she said that my son probably did not hear right un believable and guess what i still cant see with my new glasses I guess my vision is not important. read more

Minus ZERO is what my visits deserve. Horrible experience, seems like Gavi is trained to make up numbers to jack up the prices...I paid over ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS for one glasses and one year supply for monthly contacts. First glasses were horrible and LARGE, did not even fit my face...at the time i tried them on, i had Gavi give her advice since I CANNOT SEE WITHOUT MY GLASSES...so she had me pick a different pair, smaller frame, the time i went to pick up the smaller glasses, i could NOT READ with them, supposed to be progressive...Gavi said all she can do is make another appointment with the doctor!!! THE PRESCRIPTION WAS NOT WRONG, it was the 2nd pair of glasses that did NOT have the right prescription..as Gavi started to get a bit rude, i asked what is the refund policy, Gavi said there is a FIFTY (50%) PERCENT RESTOCKING FEE!!! The whole world has gone crazy with jacking up prices. SO I LOST ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS BECAUSE THEY MADE A MISTAKE. I CANNOT SEE WITHOUT GLASSES AND THEY WANT TO KEEP FIFTY PERCENT OF MY MONEY!!! very disappointed with them... i bought all of my glasses with them which are not cheap! with my vision insurance, they still charged me not less than 500 each for my co-pay. went back to their store twice and ask to adjust my eye glasses because of loose screw, but one of the employee (filipina) said that nothing that they can do. instead of saying, "let me call the eyeglass company and see if they can fix it". and all she can say is "there's nothing we can do". very disappointed... that girl was not helpful at all!! will change my optometrist... read more

That staff at this location is amazing. Lexy, Tiffany, and Shai are so Attentive and fabulous. They fit me with glasses and contacts and were so helpful on picking out the right frames for my face and needs. Dr. Pod is wonderful. He has take my vision from being blurry all the time to wear I can see clearing . Which I thought would never happen again. I'm so excited for the future!!! The Doctors and the staff at this location are WONDERFUL! I have been coming to their office for years. They have a wonderful selection of frames and contact lenses. They explained my vision benefits to me and I was able to get the maximum for what I needed. I so appreciate that they have Saturday appointments and it doesn't take long to get my glasses. Dr. Podloski was the first person to figure out why I couldn't see with my new glasses (and on the first try!). I had been back and forth with my old doctor since October 2018 saying I could see better with my old glasses than my new ones. Then I came to see Dr. Podloski in January 2019 who was able to fix the problem; which was that my old glasses were shaved down to a diff. prescription. I haven't been back to this office since my visit because they did everything right the first time! He was also very nice and professional. I recommend going to him and I will continue to for as long as I am in Las Vegas. read more

I have had nothing but problems since I started going here several years ago. The staff turn over rate is high and the majority of the staff have terrible attitudes. I paid over $500 for a pair for a pair of glasses that I have never worn because the prescription is WAY off. When I called to have them fix them they told me I would have to come in for another visit and my insurance wouldn't cover it so it would be an out of pocket expense for me. So they are still in the case and have never been worn. I have also worn a hard contact lenses for the last 2 years and when my new pair got in I was not notified. They claim they called me a month ago but I did not receive a call. Now they will not release them to me until I make another appointment to see the doctor. These contacts were already paid for and I know how to put them on so why would I need to come in for another appointment? so that my insurance can be charged again? I work and their hours do not work with my schedule and they still wont release my contacts to me. Every time I come for an appointment I am there for no less than 2 hours. I now have to call out from work for a few hours in order to get my lenses. They have permanently lost 3 customers; my husband, daughter and myself! read more

The ladies there were extremely nice and very attentive and made me amd my daughter feel right at home !! My first time with Vision Center. It was recommended by a friend; she said it's not as expensive as most optical centers. I'd say disappointing. (Maybe should've stayed with Visionworks; I was charged approximately the same) 1st, very few choices on frames. 2nd, I got a call saying that my glasses were ready. So on my day off I went there expecting to just gey my glasses, double check it & go. Unfortunately not - lens were not in the frame; it was still detached. Lady at the reception, who was very nice & apologetic, had a hard time latching it to the frame. There was a scratch on one of the lens. In my mind I'm like, seriously??? Not much 'quality control' & I was misinformed. Even the lady was perplexed about the situation - glasses not ready as was said, scratch on the lens. I'm not even sure if the lens are actually mine! Got to o have it double checked. On the upside, the doctor and staff are very nice & pleasant. Except for the lady who assisted us with the frames & stuff first day we came. 'Snobby' demeanor; I don't think she was having a nice day at work. My scratched lens will be replaced for free but I was told it's gonna take another 3 weeks. They had me take the glasses home so I can get used to it. Overall, I'd only give them 2.5 stars but since majority of the staff are nice, a 3 will suffice. read more

We found this Vision Center through our insurance website. Our last Eye doctor was good, but his office and staff were less than par. We LOVE the staff at the Rancho location. They are so knowledgeable and are super helpful. They gave us so many tips to make sure we were getting the best out of our insurance and always getting the best deal. They also have one of the best selections for frames. Even my kids enjoying going! read more

I come here for a yearly checkup and for an upgrade on my lenses and contact lenses. The people whom work here are ALWAYS nice, they always treat you the way you like to be treated. They are very professional and they go out of their way to make you happy. I ordered 2 frames that I would have liked to try out, only one frame came in (with my new lenses) and one of the staff (I forget his name) let me keep it until the other frames came in because he felt bad. We visited the store for an eye exam in early November 2014, everything went well and we seleted some glassses on display. After 2 weeks I called and was told the glasses are in. But in reality they were not, The staff suggested we purchase a different style. Turns out my glasses had not et been ordered. I complained and then had to wait until just before Christmas week to get my glasses. They never called me, I called to cancel my purchase and was told my glasses are in. When I went to pick them up no apology for the 6 week wait, very bad service. I would suggest you try somewhere else. No need for a customer to have to call multiple times to get service. read more

First time customer horrible experience the eye exam was very quick and painless but I felt rushed to pick the correct eye lens that felt comfortable once that was over I went to pick out my frame and the lady that was helping me was huffing and puffing and stared me down as I shopped for my frame she didn't give me any product knowledge didn't even try to help me shop finally I found a frame that I liked but they were SO cheap and flimsy only $35 but I thought they weren't even worth that.. decided it wasn't worth it so I just went to Walmart bought my own gram that were A LOT more sturdy, brought them back and the young lady that helped me earlier apologized for being rude and said that she just hadn't ate lunch yet....the sound like a personal problem and is not good excuse..once I finally got my glasses back almost a month and a half later I was so unsatisfied the prescription is incorrect my vision is still blurry...the was maybe 8months she and I still feel this was about my experience..0-10 would NOT RECOMMEND! read more

Let me start off by saying that this was my first time getting my eyes checked so I had NO clue what I was in for. Dr. Podloski was INCREDIBLE! I have a big family history of glaucoma and well, I'm not getting any younger. I was extremely surprised to learn just how bad my vision and night blindness was. He answered absolutely all of my questions and did not rush me whatsoever. We even joked back and forth with each other which I loved! Lexie helped me pick out a pair of glasses and she was great! I had never tried on glasses before and she really put me at ease. I felt kind of cheap only wanting to look at the frames that my insurance would cover but she made me feel completely comfortable. Even she was laughing and joking with me! Love the sense of humor here! She answered all questions I had about lenses, frames, pricing, etc. She even went out of her way to show me examples of different lenses so I could see somewhat of what I was getting! Really calmed my anxiety and made me somewhat excited to join the four eyed club! Will definitely be back! read more

NorthWest Vision Center on Craig and Rancho is the absolutely worst place I've ever been to. They are the most unorganized, and unprofessional people I have EVER encountered. The fat hispanic chick at the front desk pissed me off to the point of no return. She asked if I wanted contacts and I said yes that's fine. She said that there would be a 50$ "fitting fee". I have had the same insurance for 10yrs and never had to pay a fitting fee or ever heard of one. When I went to the back, the assistant told me that he would ask the doctor about the fee and the price would be 30$ He came in and out of my room at least 3 times and by this point Im very aggravated. When the doctor arrived she asked me if I still wanted the exam because if not, I would have to pay my Co-pay anyways. I explained to her that I have double coverage so there is no Co-pay. She left out of the room to go double check with the front desk. After returning, she said "Yes ur right, You have no Co-pay and the fitting fee is covered as well". After the exam, I went to check out when the fat chick at the desk asked me if I wanted colored contacts or regular. I told her that it depends on my insurance. If the colored contacts aren't covered, the regular would be fine. She said the colored ones would be covered so I chose a color. She then typed.some numbers on the calculator and said "Ok, with the year supply and the fitting fee, You are looking at about 220$". I said "The doctor said she confirmed with you that I have no Co-pay or fitting fee". So she told me to give her a min as she wall d away from the desk. When she returned, she said she called my insurance and my contacts are not covered because they are considered "material". I said ok and let the office. The time was exactly 4:50pm. When I got in the car to call my insurance, I got the voicemail because the office had closed at 4:00pm. So I called Northwest vision center back and asked her how did she speak to anyone at my insurance place if they had closed at 4??? She said she called the automated system. I said so a "automated system told u all of that??? That my contacts aren't covered, but everywhere else I've gone to approves me or contacts? So I called to cancel my son and husbands appointments because of Mt experience and having her clearly lie to me all because they wanted 220$. She told me that neither my son or husband is in the system. I said both had their exams last year a day or so after mine. When she finally found them to cancel the appointments, I told her we would no longer come there. She said "Im sorry it's ur insurance" I said "No it's not my insurance, it's you guys" and before I can get another word out, she hung up in my face. When I called back 2 more times, she didn't answer the phone. I was PISSED!! read more
