The manager at this location, who is a Caucasian gentleman was extremely rude to me. Excuse, accuse me of trying to rip him off when I try to return a supplement I recently brought from his store and I returned it when I found out it was expired, but he tried to turn the tables on me. Update 06/17/25 This location is still awesome. The store is clean and organized, very friendly sales associate today, and the pricing on most items was good. I came in for protein, but thanks to Ash's helpful advice, I ended up grabbing some probiotics too, zero pressure, one time she even called another store to reserve a product I needed. That level of service is rare. That said, I'd recommend checking the website first before heading in sometimes they run low on protein or creatine options. Also, the loyalty program push can feel a little strong at times, but it's manageable. Overall, this is a great spot for anyone into health, fitness, or just trying to take better care of their body. So I constantly buy from this store and I hardly return anything unless I really have to. So one day I had to return an item but I didn't have my receipt and of course the two people at the counter asked for my ID and I had the debit card I paid with but it didn't seem like enough. These two people were very rude one of the workers was named Liz and the other girl had black hair and light skin. Well either way I think when you work you should have better customer service skills you shouldn't be rude whether you're buying or returning merchandise. I am a brand loyalist.... I have always bought my supplements from The Vitamin Shoppe since they were the first nutrition store that offered a "rewards club." Since I work in the area- the 401 N. Glendale Ave is my go to store. For the most part all their employees can answer my questions regarding supplements and the pro's/con's. However there are two employees I know will give me good info, Jaci and Christian. Christian helped me today, explaining the reformulating of the "MHP" products I buy. Christian remembered the different supplements I have bought in the past and helped me to find similar products that Vitamin Shoppe still carries. Christian took a lot of his time to help go over the product ingredients with me after asking what type of workouts I am currently doing. (Strength training, endurance, HIIT... all require different supplemental needs.) Christian also asked about my age and afternoon energy levels. These too were factored in to his recommendations. With the millions of supplements on the market, name brands may not always be the best product. Also with the different types of workouts and diets not everyone needs to take a ton of supplements. Christian took the time to explain to me why I could save my money and not buy some categories of supplements while stressing the importance of others. If you take your conditioning seriously- Christian is a wealth of knowledge to help give the extra advantage you need to be successful training and recuperating. read more

Although making sales is important I don't feel that this is ever been the case with this company it always feels like helping me support my needs are first, and then getting the sale is after which is why I've been so loyal for years. First off, prices are a lot more reasonable than Whole Foods. Don't get me wrong; Whole Foods is still awesome. But if you want a more affordable solution, this is the place.
