We had a fantastic stay at The Viv Anaheim! From the moment we walked in, it felt more like a resort than your typical Anaheim hotel. The property is clean, the ambiance is beautiful, and the staff provided great service throughout our stay. I loved that they offer amenities like valet, bell service, pool service, and room service, yet the prices are still very reasonable. There was also plenty of secure parking, which gave us extra peace of mind. The hotel is located next to the freeway, so I was a little concerned about noise. However, I was pleasantly surprised that I couldn't hear it at all from our room. You do notice some freeway noise at the pool, but they play music that helps minimize it, and it didn't take away from the experience. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely return. I was disappointed with my recent stay at The Viv Hotel. Compared to my previous visit, the overall customer service and property maintenance have noticeably declined. One of the main automatic doors on the lobby level leading to the pool area was not functioning properly, which should have been addressed for both convenience and guest safety. In addition, we called the front desk in the morning to request clean towels, but no one answered after multiple attempts, which was frustrating and not what I expect from a hotel of this caliber. The pool area was also extremely overcrowded, making it difficult to relax and enjoy the amenities. While I understand holiday weekends can be busy, better crowd management would have significantly improved the guest experience. Unfortunately, this stay did not meet the standards I experienced during my previous visit. I went to pack my luggage and the roach was crawling in my luggage. I killed it IMMEDIATELY and contacted the front desk. They sent up housekeeping management which in turn she took the roach and we were given a later check out. I had to shake out all our clothes to make sure that we didn't take anything home with us we didn't bring. At check out my parking was compensated and that was it. I felt my entire stay should have been comped. A ROACH IS DISGUSTING! Once I got home I found ANOTHER ROACH in our snack bag... I'm so over it. And discovered I was still overcharged. Here it is almost 2 weeks and I'm still fighting for my money back. This is not our first time staying here. We stayed her in March of 2024 and had a totally different experience. I am now plagued with having to fumigate my house to make sure we didn't bring home any roaches I didn't see. Roaches are a different level of filth.. Food was really good. Vegetarians, be prepared to have very limited options. I ate a salad and some potatoes, but both were very good. After just a few hours at The Viv I was already thinking of booking my next trip. The hotel was clean, modern & beautiful. We had the best experience & enjoyed the many amenities the place had to offer. The check-in process was easy & we parked on site (heads up its $39 plus tax for 24hrs). Our room was the 2 queen beds & it was spacious with such comfortable beds. The restroom was beautiful & clean & stocked up with all the goods we needed. There are 2 pools on site, a family friendly one on the ground floor & the amazing adults only pool on the 12th floor. We enjoyed some time at the adults only pool & jacuzzi... it was extremely relaxing & such an intimate vibe. We also had a $25 credit included in our stay which we used at the on-site coffee shop called Melody's Market which was absolutely delicious. Overall, our stay was relaxing & luxurious especially for such a fair price point. I highly encourage you to stay at The Viv the next time you visit Disneyland! read more

Hotel looks nice on the outside but is not being taken care of inside. While we didn't encounter bed bugs or roaches like previous comments, the hotel was FILTHY. Upon arrival it was obvious the carpets in the room hallway had not been vacuumed in weeks. I tried to film however pictures don't do it justice. The dirty carpet made us extra aware of more dirt in the room and elevators. We couldn't checkout fast enough. Then we couldn't get our luggage to our trunk after discovering mystery poop in the spot next to us. Review from 3/10/26 I am DYING reading reviews especially from the D.M person...couldn't change the weather...this person lived under a rock apparently. ANYWAYS... Again as a family of 4. This time we have a room with 2 queens and a bunk bed. The kids are excited, a little to high for my kids who move around all night but they loved watching tv from there! The hotel is clean, front desk is polite and helpful. It did take about 20 min to check in with 2 people in front of us. When I asked about getting a Gatorade from their store that was closed, they opened it to let me buy a drink at 8:45 pm. That was amazing! Room is clean and pretty spacious! This time we can see the parking garage and pool. It's still not super quiet but much quieter than the last time we stayed. We are only here one night to visit family and arrived around 7:30 pm so we didn't check out any of the facilities. I'll leave a simple review for the restaurant which I wasn't a fan of their to go service. There's self park and valet. We chose valet, I can't say much about that as we only dropped off so far but there were several valets outside to help. Review from February: Checked in around 10 pm as a family of four (2 under 8.) We just kind of picked this hotel at random tonight after a family function last minute. It looked newer, and I think it actually is. It's currently 4:30 am as I'm writing this so here we go... The room was fine when we came in. Nothing spectacular but not issues either. We have 2 double beds which each had 4 pillows. Bathroom is roomy, clean and bright. The downside to the bathroom is there was only 1 wash towel. It was already late so I washed a kiddo with a hand towel to quickly get them to bed. The major downside right now is the noise. It is LOUD. You can hear every car, every person walking down the hall, apparently the bear stomping around above us. There is constantly noise. Most of it like the noise from the roads/freeway, the hotel can't fix, but please be aware of that. My husband sleeps through anything and he's woken a few times from the noise. I have hardly slept. Keep this in mind if you're a light sleeper, the walls are THIN. Last night while washing my face I had cupped water in my hands in the sink and the water was more of a weird milky color. I said something to my husband who was in the shower and it was fine in there. I washed my hands to see what was on my hands and it continued to be a weird milky color. I turned it on and this time turned on the cold water and it was totally clear. When I turned it back to hot, it became milky again. My husband thought it must be more or something on my hands. So freshly from the shower he cupped the hot water and again it was milky. He switched it to cold, and it was clear. My husband surprised me with a birthday stay at The Viv Hotel Anaheim, and I can honestly say it was one of the most thoughtful and memorable experiences I've ever had. From the moment we walked in, everything felt special. When we opened the door to our room, I was greeted with the sweetest surprise--balloons, a Minnie Mouse, a birthday card on the bed, and a bottle of champagne waiting in the fridge. It was such a personal and magical touch that immediately set the tone for the entire stay. The service at this hotel is truly next-level. Every single person we interacted with was warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. A special thank you to Sal, the Valet Parker, and especially Cienna, who went above and beyond for us. My husband had accidentally made a dinner reservation at Valencia's instead of Top of the V because he wanted me to see the Disneyland fireworks during dinner. Cienna actually called us prior to check-in to confirm and catch the mistake--such incredible attention to detail! She then seamlessly rebooked us at Top of the V, which made the night absolutely perfect. Dinner at Top of the V was phenomenal. The food was delicious, the ambiance was beautiful, and our server Martha provided outstanding service. Watching the fireworks from Disneyland while enjoying dinner was truly magical and something I'll never forget. We also stopped by Melody's inside the hotel and picked up some delicious goodies--and once again, Cienna made our experience even better with her kindness and attentiveness. DO NOT STAY HERE. First and foremost, I am a loyal Marriott customer, which is why this experience was so disappointing. This was, without question, the most disorganized hotel staff I have ever encountered. The primary issue was the handling of my billing and payment processing. I booked my stay directly through Marriott Bonvoy at a rate that was significantly higher than many comparable hotels in the area, expecting the level of service and professionalism Marriott is known for. Upon arriving in the evening, we used the hotel's valet service. I later learned the property uses a third-party valet company, but this was never clearly explained. The following morning, when we attempted to retrieve our vehicle, the automated system prompted us to pay with a credit card. Confused, I called the front desk five times before someone finally answered. After speaking with the staff, it still took approximately 45 minutes to retrieve our vehicle and resolve the valet billing issue. That same morning, I noticed a charge of more than $700 posted to my credit card. After making three additional calls to the front desk, I was told the charge represented my room rate and a security deposit. However, when I asked how much the deposit was, one employee told me it was $200 while another said it was $500. I also questioned why my credit card was being charged before I had even checked out, but no one could provide an explanation. To make matters worse, I then received alerts for an additional $183 charge and a separate $1 charge. Since I was not scheduled to check out until the following day, these additional charges were concerning. When I questioned the $183 charge, I was told it was for dinner at the hotel restaurant. However, my restaurant bill was for a completely different amount, so that explanation was clearly incorrect. At this point, a total of $920.23 has been charged to my credit card, and I still do not have a clear or accurate accounting of these charges. I have left two messages for the hotel's billing department and have also contacted Marriott Customer Care. Unfortunately, I was told that only the hotel's billing department can resolve this issue, yet I have received no response. As a loyal Marriott customer, I expect transparent billing, knowledgeable staff, and timely customer service. Instead, I experienced inconsistent information, unexplained charges, excessive delays, and a complete lack of communication. I am requesting a prompt review of my account, a detailed explanation of every charge, correction of any billing errors, and a timely response from the hotel's billing department. read more

Its a beautiful and modern hotel,, but intimidating. Staff are friendly but do not give a homey atmosphere. We were waited at the pool bar more than 30 min. Looked like she was by herself. On complimentary wine 4-6 pm, there was no sign anywhere, no other guests, no host at the restaurant and when I went to the bar, there were 3 staff there. Pour me wine and that was it. The adult pool was lovely and quiet with dance music. Not inviting at all. It felt like I was on display. Electronic parking, decent room size but no work chair (but there was work table). They were welcoming gold members , but I requested, in my profile, to get room closest to the elevator due to my back issue, in which I always get it without confirming. But this time I got the furthest room. The Oasis pool was in a round shape. Hot tub, small water play area for kids. No staff. Used, dirty towels were everywhere. Sitting by the pool next to the fireplace, the trees infected with inch worms. Lobby, common areas, store, room are clean. Lobby have modern furnitures with spacious area with barely guests and 5 staff. I prefer not to take my kids there for the possibility of, well, being kids. Running around, playing, and breaking things. Amazing rooftop restaurant. If I come here by myself for business trip, this hotel will be extraordinary. PLEASE DO NOT STAY at THIS HOTEL. It is more expensive than other high-end hotels and farther from Disneyland. We had an awful experience at this hotel and will leave poor reviews online to prevent other people from going through the same experience as we did because no one deserves this kind of treatment. The front desk people are very unfriendly. The Hotel has only 1 or 2 luggage carts, and we had to wait for the guy who works for the hotel to finish with other guests. So, not only checking in so late, but also not cart to bring out luggage to the room. The guy was very disorganized and unprofessional. He took some of our luggage and kept it with him. He said he would bring them later to the room because it did not fit it all in the cart. We waited and waited and learned he forgot all about. I book my reservation online through booking.com. And already had paid the $200 deposit. It was included in the package with the online booking. When I arrived late at night on July 20th to do my check-in. I informed the front desk African American man who was doing the check-in to check my reservation. However, I don't believe he checked anything because later, when I returned to complain about the room we were placed in. He went through the reservation carefully at this time, and he said, "oh I see," and agreed that our reservation showed a bathroom with a bathtub. Earlier during the check-in, he informed us that if we did not put a debit or credit card down for the $200 deposit, we would not be able to go to the room. But once we came to speak with him about the room issue, he said he could not do anything about it. He said the manager would be the only one who could fix anything. I also informed him several times that I had already paid for the deposit before arriving, and it probably shows on my reservation. This was just the beginning of our problems. Once went to the room, we realized they had placed us in the worst room. We were given a small room with smaller beds, no bathtub, the TV did not work, the sink got clogged several times, and the fridge was so warm that our food rotted. If you take more than 3 to 5 minutes in the shower, the water begins to get cold. The water on sink has a very weak pressure and takes forever to rinse the soap from your hands. What kind of treatment is this? We looked up the numbers of hotels like the Marriott and the Hilton Hotels, and they are high-end hotels for $600 3 nights. The Viv Hotel cost us over $1000 with their tricks and hidden fees. This hotel is 35 minutes walk to Disneyland, not 15 as they told us. The Viv Hotel is one of the worst experiences I've ever had. The Hotel it is not situated in a very nice area. There are too many freeway interchanges, traffic, and pollution, which can be dangerous for those who are walking to Disney with children. There is a lot of construction around and homeless people. We had to walk under the overpassed but there was a suspicious vagrant lying and waiting. These situations are dangerous for guest that doesn't know the area and the Hotel does not offer any shuttle to Disneyland. There were a lot of violent drivers also around the area. Walking from this Hotel to Disneyland was definitely a challenge. We witnessed the police chasing a car that was driving really recklessly. The hotel does not provide any housekeeper unless you ask; however, even when I asked, they did bot showed up, and we had one of the beds wet even though the request was made in the morning and no one showed up later in the day to change the bed sheets. The engineer that supposed to fix the refrigerator and TV told us that the fridge had a problem and that he would report the TV issue to his department, but left and did not do anything about it. This is all on the first day. Once we went down to speak with the hotel manager, she was rude and careless. She told us that the only room that has a bathtub is the one with bunkbeds, which is not true. She also did not care about sending someone to fix the TV or fridge. The room was constantly cold. We selected the temperature for the room, then it changed back to cold automatically. This was another issue with the air-conditioner. We later learn from other unsatisfied guests that the reason they want your credit card on file is to make additional charges without your may not owe and will have to dispute. We learned that on the first day, they charged an additional $100 on the card of the second guest. Given all these issues, we are requesting a full refund of $873.80 for what this hotel has caused. We have other complaints with the restaurant and pool. As they try to tell us, we could not use the roof pool and restaurant to redeem the daily $25, and were told that we can only eat at the cheap fast-food restaurant. However, at booking.com, it stated we could redeem at any of the restaurants. I needed a day with the girls! So, when I saw the $150 cabana deal offered by resortpass, I had to snatch it up! Arrived at around 1pm on a Sunday, checked in with the front desk and were pointed in the direction of the pool. At the time we arrived, it was nice and quiet so, the waiter (Peter! who was incredible) allowed us to choose any of the 4 premium cabanas we wanted. I let my bestie choose and she made a great pick right in the middle of them all. The deal was awesome because of all the perks it came with: 1. A beautiful cabana for the day (9am - 10pm) 2. 4 day passes for me and the girlypops (with access to amenities) 3. 12 canned alcoholic beverages 4. A charcuterie board 5. Fruit Tray 6. 20% off food from the restaurant on site We had an absolute ball! We hung out by the pool, ate, drank, and were so so merry. It was such a lovely and fun time with my girlies. The Cabana was epic! It had a nice couch, some chairs, a table and a charging station. The only thing missing (on our end) was a little portable speaker to play music, but its a good lesson for next time. Customer service was great! Our waiter, Peter, was an absolute rockstar and was all by himself serving us as well as everyone else hanging out at the pool. BED BUGS! We woke up in the morning to find bites on my sons legs and some on my own upper thigh. We began tearing the sheets apart closely looking into every corner (finding old trash along the way from previous occupants, a sign the room was not carefully cleaned.) We found bugs, multiple in the sheets and in the corner of the room. We took pictures and a video and promptly went downstairs to check out. We explained everything to the manager onsite only to be told that I cannot be certain what kind of bug was in the photos and what exactly caused the bites on our legs. She said it could be another kind of bug and not bed bugs. Also they cannot control who stays in their rooms and what they may bring with them Oh that's great, well jeez don't I feel better. Don't worry sir, we host many bug species in our bedrooms. Fear not, its not that specific insect sleeping in your sheets, but another kindly donated by a previous occupant. We only stayed here because we were traveling with a group of friends, and this was the hotel that would accommodate our party size and ensure that we could be close together. We showed up a little bit early to check in and drop off our luggage before we went out sightseeing. I was automatically put off by the lack of uniforms or warm reception from their front desk. I honestly thought that they were customers and just on the wrong side of the desk. Definitely not what I'm used to with Marriott. They looked at us like we were bothering them, even though no one else was in front of us. The only staff that were polite and friendly, were the valet and housekeeping. I had to speak with front desk multiple times since no one answered when we called from my room. I called them multiple times to report issues like: the blacklist over the key fob fell off when we checked in, there was no blow dryer in our room, the Internet room wasn't working, etc. The front desk is a joke. You get better service at budget hotel. Laundry is available on site. However, there's only two washers and two dryers for all of their guests, which is ridiculous. If you need a hotel that's great service check out Hyatt place or residence Inn on Harbour. Would never stay at this hotel again I would not recommend to anyone. This includes eating at the hotel. Attended a workshop here in one of the conference rooms and was directed to park at the top of the parking structure to avoid incurring a parking charge of $50. There's one way in and out of here and that is on the west side of Anaheim Blvd. going south so if you miss the turn you have to do a big U-turn back. It's kind of an easy turn to miss so go slow and keep an eye out. There's an elevator and stairs at the structure and the highest parking floor is the 3rd or 4th floor. The workshop was held in the California room. The side of the room faces the street, which is a little distracting, but the blinds were halfway down so that helped. The room is also next to the elevator so it sounds like someone's phone notifications are going off but it's the elevator ding. There were two restrooms just south of the room and it's one per person. The restrooms are super artsy and fun inside and were very clean. For lunch we received these lunch kits with a turkey pesto sandwich on a Ciabatta roll, a bag of Vicky's salt & vinegar chips, a small tomato pasta salad a bottle of water and a chocolate chip cookie. There were canned sodas available in the meeting room as well. The lunch kit was actually very good in my opinion. It wasn't a heavy lunch which would then lead to being tired and wanting to take a nap. It was a hearty enough lunch that I was full and alert afterwards and it tasted great. I stopped in the gift shop and noticed they sold these same items there, which, if I was going to Disneyland, I'd buy one of the sandwiches and take it with me to have in case there's a long line or walk to get food in the park. The staff were all very polite and helpful and directed me to the room. They are located off the 5 freeway just down the road from the Disneyland resort and with the best access to the freeway to get anywhere else you would need to go. What I like about this hotel is that it's far enough from the resort crowd but a quick 5 minute drive on the freeway to the resort and if you want to take streets there, that option is probably 7 to 10 minutes depending on the traffic lights. Great if you're attending a workshop here and want to go to Disneyland with your family or yourself. Even if you don't go into one of the parks, there's still tons of stuff to do and see at Downtown Disney or the surrounding area. read more

Called front desk and they said they would send up towels and take our trash but they never did. Was told we were supposed to get two waters, never got them. The staff tells you things to make you go away. Th hotel has a lot of potential but they don't keep up with maintenance and have been hiring employees that are over the Disney crowd. I can't believe this is a Marriott property. I have stayed here 4 times and each time it gets progressively worse. These guys need a shake up. It's a culture problem. read more

My overall experience at The Viv Hotel Anaheim was excellent, with one exception. As a Platinum Elite Rewards member, we were given the option of points or complimentary breakfast, and we chose the breakfast. At check-in, I specifically asked the front desk since there were six of us if we could receive six breakfast vouchers, and I was told yes. I was given vouchers that clearly indicated six. We used one on Wednesday with no issues. When we tried to use another voucher on Thursday, our waitress seemed unsure and checked with the front desk, where she spoke with Danielle (Sales Manager) The waitress returned and told us the voucher was only valid for two people. I then went to the front desk to clarify, explaining that this had already been approved at check-in. Unfortunately, Danielle was very condescending and dismissive, insisting that it was only for two. After some back and forth, she reluctantly approved breakfast for that morning only, but not for the remainder of our stay. This interaction was disappointing and really stood out compared to the rest of the staff, who were all fantastic. Jorge, Noah, Ashley, Dylan, housekeeping, and the restaurant team all provided excellent service and made our stay enjoyable. We are Disneyland Magic Key holders and visit the area often, and we were hoping this would become our go-to hotel. Aside from this one negative experience, everything else about our stay was great. I would have easily given this hotel a 5/5 if not for that interaction. It honestly wouldn't have been a big deal if we had been told no from the beginning. The Viv Hotel might just be the best hotel near Disneyland. It feels boutique, elevated, and thoughtfully designed without being over the top. The interiors are sleek and modern with subtle Disney touches that keep it fun without feeling cheesy. We stayed in Suite 200, which was perfect for our little Orange County staycation. The living room was cozy, the bed was super comfortable, and the bathroom felt luxe. The body wash and shampoo gave off a premium Aesop vibe, and the shower pressure was on point. Bonus points for the fridge actually being usable--not one of those overpriced mini-bars waiting to charge you for moving a bottle of water. There's a mart downstairs for snacks and essentials, plus a couple of restaurants we didn't try this time. The hotel also has two pools, including an adults-only rooftop pool that we'll definitely check out next time. Parking is around $30 per night, which feels fair compared to LA prices. This is an overdue revew for me. I stayed here for D23 Expo last summer. I have stayed at local hotels/motels to Disneyland and I will say The viv was way better than those other hotels. The room was really nice and clean. I really didn't have any complaints. In addition it was my sister birthday weekend so I added the birthday package which came with balloons, candy, and a blanket. It was so nicely done. I loved having that option to add that cute touch. FYI that blanket it came with though is definitely like temu quality lol it was so rough. It's also the farthest hotel from Disney, but it's not bad as they have some local transportation options. I mainly used uber though. My sister and I also went to both pools. TLDR: Don't stay here. We booked this hotel for the night because of the proximity to Disneyland. Parking and check-in was smooth. Room was a decent size and had a nice view of the Disneyland Ferris wheel. The room we were assigned had two queen beds and two bunks beds. We booked through Hotel Tonight so you don't have control over what type of room you get. However, we did not expect what was waiting for us. We arrived late at night and were exhausted, so we just wanted to get into the room and go to sleep and wake up early for Disney the following morning. When we walked in everything looked fine. Clean bathroom, clean counters, clean beds.... Until we lifted the covers on one of the queen beds. It was COVERED with streaks and drops of dried blood. One of the pillowcases also had it on the side that was facing the bed. Almost like it was turned over to hide it. Luckily, the other queen bed was clean (we turned every sheet inside out to make absolutely sure) so we decided just to sleep on that and address the issue with the front desk in the morning. When we were checking out we explained the situation and showed them pictures. They immediately said "are you sure you didn't spill makeup?" The lack of accountability and attempt to minimize was hilarious. When we pushed the issue, we were met with a "okay we'll let housekeeping know". They offered no sorry, no compensation, nothing. When we explained that this was unacceptable and we wanted to complain further, they offered to waive some "destination fee" and give us a free breakfast. Needless to say, we didn't have an appetite or cared to be there any longer. At least being less than a 10 minute drive to Disneyland was a positive. This was our first time staying here. We chose this hotel as our home away from home during our trip to Disney. We had 2 adults and 2 older boys. The hotel is located 2 miles from Disney. So not too bad, not the best either. Here are some pros/cons: Pros: Check in staff was friendly. Hotel is clean and tidy. The room was nice, and we could see the fireworks from Disney from our room. I loved the bunk beds for the kids with chargers in their sleeping area. Plenty of towels and plenty of pillows! There is a shuttle that will take you to Disney. It's 6.50 per adult. I think it was 3.50 for kids. It runs every 20 mins. It's also cheaper to do a Lyft if you don't need to come back to the hotel and you're there all day. The soaps and the tub was nice. Cons: No easy walking access to Disney. The pillows aren't the best and the bed was too firm for me but it wasn't terrible. I still slept decent. The water pressure for showers was terrible. No continental breakfast. I can't speak to parking, we didn't park. I didn't use any of the amenities. So for what we needed it for, it was great. Would stay here again. read more

Our room was excellent with 2 queen beds and a bunk sleeping up to 6 comfortably. Made good on valet damage to my vehicle. The bad: Their valet service, PMC, caused $4000 in damage to my BMW. They didn't ID it when I picked up. I had to bring it to their attention. If I hadn't noticed, I'd be paying for the repair. Advice: Take pictures of your car if you care at drop off. There are no microwaves in the rooms, so you need to walk downstairs to use an old, tiny microwave oven in their cafe. read more

Just annoyed that we are staying a week and the hotel is just ok. Finally got another room after them trying to fix the bathroom for an hour. My family always stays here when we are in the area. It's a nice hotel with boutiquey vibes but also family friendly. We always book two beds with bunk beds and it's plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The bathroom is a good size as well. The ambience is airy and light. Try to catch a sunset or skyline view up on the rooftop. It's a cute little garden area. Though we didn't dine at the restaurant upstairs, we took a peek and its just as cute with an art deco vibe. The pool area isnt huge but enough to lounge in and splash around for a break. There is a restaurant downstairs for convenience. Our stay at The Viv was just okay, 2.5 out of 5 but unable to leave half reviews on Yelp so there's that. We wanted to stay at this hotel for a while now and we finally were able to for our vacation! While the hotel is less than a mile from Disneyland by car it's not the closest hotel to Disneyland. When we arrived earlier than expected around 11, we were told there were no rooms available for early check in and to come back around 2. I called around 145ish - and they suddenly had a room available. The early check in fee is extremely high, $75. We check in and the rooms were just okay. While the room is newer it is still pretty "old and worn in". There were a lot of marks and stains on floor, in the room / bathroom and on the floors, the bathroom sink drain clogged up, our phone in the room didn't work (we had to call the front desk from our cellphone), housekeeping never answered when we tried calling them (from our cellphone). Parking is extremely high. It's self parking and you can either pay daily yourself and or when you checkout. There is a $25 credit resort fee you're able to spend at the store in the hotel and or one of the restaurants (inside or at the pool). Each time we went to the store they were on break or lunch or closed. It's really inconvenient way for you to not be able to use the funds as they are use it or lose it and you can't use them on the day of check out. We really wanted to love this hotel and aren't sure if we would give it another try! We travel to the area a lot for family and for Disneyland vacations and are looking for a hotel that we can stay at regularly. We hoped the Viv was it but there was a lot of disappointment for the expensive price that we paid for the room. I prepaid the room ($600 for 4 days/3nights) and ended up paying an additional $250 due to parking, early check in and other fees. Definitely not worth the price! read more

These people are liars and thieves!! I stayed here on Saturday with my family to escape the heat and enjoy a nice day at the rooftop pool. The temperature that day was around 90 degrees so I was thinking a rooftop pool with some sort of shade cover from the elements, the sun explicitly would be perfect but it was far from that. So we checked in around 3:30 and headed straight to the rooftop pool as the downstairs pool looked filled to capacity. It was a little windy as we made our way to the jacuzzi as the pool was freezing. As we got in the jacuzzi the wind picked up 10-20 mph but we stayed in the hot tub as when we got out of the hot tub to turn on the jets it was literally freezing, like my hair was getting frost on it during 80-90 degree weather! So after spending maybe 30 minutes there we decided enough was enough. My son ended up getting sick from the fluctuating temperatures and he stayed in the room while I made a reservation at the restaurant downstairs for my wife and I. The only reason we went there at all was because when you reserve a room at the hotel they charge you an extra $29 hotel fee that you must use that same day or you lose it. Well let's just say that we weren't pleased with the restaurant as there was little gnat flies around the food while we were eating and the wine that we had ordered had some stuff on the bottom of the glass, not sure what it really was but they refunded the drink no questions asked. Then we went to enjoy the downstairs pool area with a propane fire pit which was not working as well. After going to front desk to see why it wasn't working, I spoke with an engineer who was on duty who said that they have been having issues with the gas hose leaking gas and that it was out of service. We then went to the opposite side where they had another fire pit wall area which they then turned on but again I had to waste my time to get all of this done and setup. So after this we went back to the room and noticed the lights above the bed were inoperable and wouldn't turn on, only the headboard lights worked. Also there was nowhere on the television to hook up a gaming device to the hdmi as the tv is basically plastered to the wall so my son couldn't enjoy his time in the room while sick. He ended up getting a fever, headache, runny nose ect. Also the mini fridge would not cool anything we put in there, every time we put the power on it would just turn back off, also the shower had low water pressure and the water was not hot only Luke warm. Also they charge you $40 to park at this place which is what they do for all hotels in this area. So upon leaving I brought up all of these issues and was assured that the notes were all taken. They even offered to cover the parking charge as an inconvenience for the troubles I had experienced. The person I had spoke too was called Lea or Leah, she was a Caucasian woman. Come to find out after contacting my booking agent they contacted the hotel and spoke to Luis or Louis (director of revenue) who assured the booking agent that they would cover the parking fee and not a penny more as they can't control the weather. So I had my travel agent contact them again to see if they could reimburse for the $29 hotel charge as well. They never picked up the phone again after many many attempts from the travel agent again, so i decided to give them a call and I was able to reach them right away??? They transferred me to Luis (Louis) but he didn't answer so I left a voicemail. My travel agent offered a $30 refund for the hassle but I wanted to wait first to get my refund from the hotel first. Come to find out when I called today Luis (Louise) never approved it and the hotel agent would not let me speak to him directly anymore. Again they said they cannot control the weather, I explained if they knew about this weather issue that they could just close the rooftop pool as it was not a good place for people to visit on this particular day, but they couldn't do that or people would be complaining ect Also they have no area for medicines in site after hours so I had to go around in the middle of the night looking for a store that was actually open as the 7-11's ect close early. I found a gas station open a few miles away that had some Tylenol for my son's headache and fever!!! This hotel is untrustworthy liars who only care about money and profits over a nice pricey vacation. Really over $40???? Yall should be ashamed for yourselves!!!! Stay away from this place at all costs no pun intended. Avoid this place at all costs. Our stay at The Viv in Anaheim was a complete mess, capped off by fraudulent charges and an hour-long checkout ordeal where we were accused of not paying. Check-in: The only positive experience. The person who checked us in was kind, professional, and efficient. They took our credit card and we were properly charged for our two rooms overnight. Rooms: Both rooms were unacceptable. Room one: * No washcloths or hand towels * One towel too dirty to use * Dirty shower head * Blood on the toiletries kit in the bathroom * Chairs at the table visibly dirty Room two: * No hand towels * No washcloths Basic cleanliness and supplies were clearly not a priority. Checkout and billing disaster: At checkout, we were asked for our room numbers and told a folio would be emailed to us. As we were almost out the door, a staff member ran after us and stated we never put a credit card down and owed money. This was false. We had already been charged for both rooms. Despite this, we were effectively accused of trying to leave without paying. While being accused of this, I reviewed the bill and noticed fraudulent charges appearing in real time. Specifically, our promised Melody's $25 credit was removed and then recharged so the credit was never applied. So to recap: a hotel actively charging our card incorrectly was accusing us of being thieves. A second staff member stepped in who was kind, professional, and apologized. The original staff member who accused us never apologized. We asked for a supervisor. It took nearly an hour for basic math and billing errors to be corrected and for them to attempt to reverse the fraudulent charges. During this time, another couple waiting behind us reported a $500 fraudulent charge on their credit card from the same hotel. After wasting an hour of our time and being publicly accused of not paying, the supervisor, Ben, offered one free night for one room. This is wholly insufficient given the accusation, embarrassment, billing chaos, and ongoing concern that additional charges may still appear. We are not confident the credits will actually post and will now be monitoring our card closely. The only positives: The kind person at check-in and the excellent valet team. They were the only bright spots in an otherwise stressful and unacceptable experience. This hotel has serious issues with cleanliness, billing integrity, and accountability. For a hotel, this is a basic safety and security issue. I had to go to the front desk, where a staff member named Jose offered to have maintenance come up and fix it. This was the first of many signs that the hotel wasn't properly checking its rooms before guests arrived. 2. Broken and Faulty Fixtures After the issue with the door lock, I started checking the rest of the room. It quickly became clear that the hotel's quality control was a major problem. I was here for a work trip and picked the hotel for its proximity to the parks. The room was very large, clean, modern and the hotel had wonderful amenities. The rooftop pool and bar are the highlight of the hotel for sure. You can see the mountains and city on one side and the parks, sunset and fireworks on the other side. My only two complaints, and this shouldn't stop you from coming, just something to be aware of. The breakfast buffet is incredibly expensive and the prices are not upfront before you sit down. The curtains in the room go black out curtain and then shear so you have to open your entire window in order to close or open the blackout curtains kind of exposing you to outside and they can easily see in. Would definitely recommend and come back again, just know these little quirks. read more

Bypass this at all cost- we stayed 12/23 and checked out Christmas Day. The AC did not work whatsoever and it was so hot and muggy we called the front desk and nothing. We were on the 8th floor and it was rainy and muggy out and it was like front desk couldn't give any care in the world. Not the friendliest person when checking out either. Didn't ask how the stay was or anything. Valet- nightmare. Whoever their " supervisor " is needs retraining but I doubt it because they'll use the ' we're a 3rd party ' outside factor. Nonetheless they're an extension of the hotel an are horrible. We did the valet for $52/ night and when we wanted to retrieve our car the first night the guy tried to con us into paying MORE just to leave th property and gave some excuse on how people don't pay but I said questioned why we would pay again when we're paying through the hotel and he could care less. I mean I shouldn't have to pay each time to retrieve my car when I'm not even leaving the property or checking out. He decided to talk shit underneath his breath because I mentioned how they need to coordinate better from the hotel to the valet to make sure their customers are paying. Idk read the reviews seems like a common issue throughout the hotel and to avoid chaos an headache on whatever vacation/ stay cation/ holiday etc you'd be better off elsewhere. You thought that when you book they have the lowest and cheapest price but after you checked in no one explained to me that there is other charges you need to pay after checking out, like CA fees, tourism fees, destination fees etc. so dont fall for their lowest/cheapest rate when booking. Well the hotel was nice, there were multiple hidden fees. There was a $25 per day attraction fee on top of the regular hotel cost, $39 parking fee per day and the shuttle was six dollars per person per day to get to Disneyland. While looking for hotels, the close proximity to the park was one of the top reasons we booked a hotel, but once we got here, we realized that it was separated by a freeway and so you do have to take the shuttle. We called the morning of our reservation to double check that everything was squared away and asked about any other fees, the attendant assured us that there would be no other fees beside the deposit, once we got to our hotel we found out otherwise. We are very disappointed by the rate and all of the hidden fees that the hotel charges. Definitely would not recommend. Hotel is decent enough but we do feel as though we were misled. read more

Hotel is nice and the rooftop is very nice as well. However the service is not that great . I made a reservation online and I reserved a room with two queens , park view . When we got there they gave us a room with two queens and partial park view , but with bunk beds as well. I have two young kids and I didn't want the bunk beds due to safety reasons. I asked them to move us to a diff room and the front desk woman was rude. I was at Disney all day so I didn't really cared but when I had to shower I had to keep my kids in the bathroom with me. When I checked out I spoke to the manager a day later (Ben ), told him what happened. He said "I'm sorry you had to shower with your kids there is nothing I can do and we don't guarantee a room without bunk beds. I had to call Marriott bonvoy and file a complain. He only refunded one night and I stayed two. I'm not staying there anymore. $800 for two nights , a room with bunk beds , bathroom dirty as well.
