Sometimes I will visit this Mardels location and always wondered what this gem was next door but never got around to checking it out. I absolutely love coffee and had not had my daily coffee so I decided to make a visit with my daughter. I just have to say the gentleman that was taking our order and made our drinks was simply amazing! I wish I had remembered his name. I truly hope he sees this and I just want to say thank you for your hospitality. You welcomed us in and explained everything with patience and kindness. It was probably 1 of the most pleasant and peaceful coffee visits I have had in a very long time, and not to mention my coffee was absolutely perfect. I do not live near this location but I do plan on visiting more often and checking out the wonderful church that it is located in! Thank you again! 100000/10 recommend!

Such a whole in the wall coffee shop with Christian roots. I love it. I love the staff who are always so kind. And I love the vibes. Anddd the prices are so reasonable. Check them out!

What a tranquil and soothing coffee shop! This place was slightly tricky to find... my map pointed me to an empty store front, and I was worried this place had closed. Luckily, I soon found The Vive tucked away in a relatively nondescript building across from Hobby Lobby. The decor here was nice. High ceilings, houseplants, polished concrete, some cozy chairs with plentiful outlets nearby and a few tables. I was tempted by the drink special called "Betty White" a carefully crafted white mocha, but opted for a flat white instead. Everything is on a "suggested donation" basis, so I assume you can ask for a discount if you're low on funds or pay extra if you're feeling flush. This place is in a church lobby, but from the ambiance, you'd never guess it. All the coffee beans are from Hope Coffee, which goes to benefit low-income families in Honduras.

My go-tos at the moment are their Caramel Apple Chai (seasonal) and Bluebonnet Latte! So unique, so well made! Drinks are $5 (donation), and there's good space to study/ do work as well as plenty of parking.

Cool coffeehouse in Garland! The housemade syrups and seasonal drinks are awesome and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The cafe is part of a church and all the prices are suggested donations

Tried this location earlier today. The barista was very friendly and informative regarding their options. Nice casual vibes, clean, and spacious. Ordered a vanilla iced latte with added cinnamon. The latte was made well. I was able to taste both the espresso and the syrup. All was well balanced. I would definitely return.

Super sweet staff, spacious enough for meeting with a group, and coffee is delicious. Definitely making the list for my go-to coffee shops.

Oh my!…read more I rarely find myself in the Garland area, so when I began taking some pilates classes nearby, I knew I needed to find all the cute local gems! Cafe Frida being one of them! Not only is this cafe so cozy and comfortable, there is plenty of space to sit! It would absolutely be perfect for anyone looking for a good working from home location as they also have plenty of outlets! And the service! Oh my, the girls at the front have been so sweet and kind! They often make conversation while also helping choose the best options on the menu! Now for the good stuff! The Menu! I have yet to try any of their food options, but I have had a chance to try both their iced and hot lattes! I can confidently say that Cafe Frida knows what they are doing when it comes to a good cup of caffeine! Sometimes, especially when ordering something with a bit more sweetness, coffee or espresso can lose it's taste, and as someone who craves the taste of coffee and espresso, Cafe Frida def makes sure all flavors are balanced! I just love when a coffee isn't overtaken by so many different flavors! I already cannot wait to go back! I attend pilates on Wednesday's, so they will def be seeing me again!

The space has a lot of seating between the two rooms and plenty of natural light. Love that, because there are too many coffee shops in DFW with virtually no seating lol The decor is minimal but it feels cozy and they have some cute items throughout the space. The drinks are creative and the minimal food options paired well either them. The prices were also not bad, with small drinks starting at $5.50, and a few of them including a choice of milk instead of forcing you to pay extra for that, which I appreciated. I opted for the strawberry and guava matcha that was a seasonal menu item and enjoyed every sip. The guava wasn't very noticeable though. I also got the pesto toast that was $9.70 and it was a very refreshing meal with great flavor. My friend also really liked her cookie butter toast, which I think I'll try next time I visit. They also offer a drink flight that I can't wait to try in the future! They took our order quickly and even though they had a steady flow of customer orders our items came out at a relatively quick pace, with drinks being the first. Give them a try!

I was nicely greeted up on entering and although it was Very small it appeared nice and clean. While getting my tiramisu I was also looking at some smaller pieces of what the gentleman explained was types of Turkish candies. He even let me try the pistachio one and OMG, sooo good. I then bought 2 of the pistachio ones, a hazelnut one and I forget what the little red one was. I haven't eaten them yet but super excited to try them all. The tiramisu was a generous portion and tasted good but definitely lacked a lot too. For me it needed to be more dense with less pudding filling and way more coffee/espresso flavor. Still good just not a true strong tiramisu taste. I will definitely be back to try some of the other wonderful looking bakery items. 3 stars only due to the bit of disappointment in the tiramisu.
