    Latte and avocado toast
    Madigan M.

This new coffee shop incorporates a Bible verse in their name. Isiah 41:10 "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." The inside is set up like any spacious coffee house with multiple brand new leather couches and small tables for gathering. The stamped tin ceilings are beautiful. The number of outlets is a bit limited so it may be challenging to set up camp and work from here. The barista was very friendly. I tried a bees knees latte which was pleasantly sweet without being cloying and an avocado toast. Would definitely return!

I'm legit OBSESSED with this coffee shop. The coffee never disappoints and they have the sweetest baristas, cozy tunes & comfy seats. I enjoy working and studying here!

I really liked the bee's knees latte! I would rate it a 8.5/10 It was a great mix of espresso, honey, cinnamon, and milk! Service was very quick and the staff was very nice! The lighting and decor was great and this was a good study spot to get some work done. Would definitely come back again!

I stopped by here when I was searching for a coffee spot today and they did not disappoint! I got the bees knees latte and it was delicious! I also got the cherry and cream cheese, danish, and they are also very tasty! Definitely recommend checking this spot out. The inside is very inviting and the seating is very comfortable. You can definitely just come and sit in here and relax and drink your coffee or even work. The staff was friendly and quick to get my items out.

Well, talk about a hidden gem. I had this place bookmarked but could not tell you where I heard…read moreabout it. It is basically a little luncheon oasis dropped right in the middle of a gigantic industrial park. On the drive over I was seriously questioning my Yelp choices. It is that kind of location. But trust Yelp and sometimes you are handily rewarded, which we absolutely were. We came after a few hours strolling around at the Botanical Gardens, so we rolled in around 1:30 and there were still plenty of people there. I can only imagine at noon this place is packed, and honestly it should be. My biggest complaint is the menus. There is one above the counter that does not include everything, and then a different, more complete version if you scan the QR code at the table (But 2 different navigations even on the website with slightly different menus). Do yourself a favor and look it up ahead of time so you are not standing there making panic decisions. There is a half sandwich and half soup combo (Not on the board but online menu), which is definitely the move. I got the pozole, which you should absolutely order, and a half grilled cheese on their housemate sourdough. Normally not my go to, but I was trying not to be completely stuffed since we had dinner plans. And they bake their own sourdough, so I had a strong feeling it would be great, and it delivered. Toasty and melty, American and cheddar. My husband got the southwestern wrap, and my friend went with the half club and half tomato soup. She immediately regretted not getting the pozole and the half birria sandwich, which tells you everything you need to know. Also need to mention the snickerdoodle. Not much to look at, kind of humble, but it completely makes up for it with flavor and that perfect soft texture. Go ahead and get the cookie. You are not here to make responsible decisions. Bottom line, it may feel like you are driving into the middle of nowhere, but keep going. This place is worth it.

I've been craving a sub sandwich so I tried out the "Firehouse Hero", which is "Roast beef, smoked turkey breast, honey ham, and melted provolone, served with lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, and deli mustard with a dill pickle spear served on the side.". The shop is small, but cozy, and the staff were friendly. I got mine to go, and had them top it with some hot sauce that was rated 8/10-hot on their scale. However, I couldn't taste any spice at all once I ate it, so i'm unsure if they forgot or just put a very tiny amount on it. The sandwich was good, although it was somewhat "wet" of a sandwich. The gluten-free bread was great, as I couldn't tell a difference taste-wise or texture-wise. I'm glad to have found this spot and hope they continue the gluten-free bread option.

Oh my!…read more I rarely find myself in the Garland area, so when I began taking some pilates classes nearby, I knew I needed to find all the cute local gems! Cafe Frida being one of them! Not only is this cafe so cozy and comfortable, there is plenty of space to sit! It would absolutely be perfect for anyone looking for a good working from home location as they also have plenty of outlets! And the service! Oh my, the girls at the front have been so sweet and kind! They often make conversation while also helping choose the best options on the menu! Now for the good stuff! The Menu! I have yet to try any of their food options, but I have had a chance to try both their iced and hot lattes! I can confidently say that Cafe Frida knows what they are doing when it comes to a good cup of caffeine! Sometimes, especially when ordering something with a bit more sweetness, coffee or espresso can lose it's taste, and as someone who craves the taste of coffee and espresso, Cafe Frida def makes sure all flavors are balanced! I just love when a coffee isn't overtaken by so many different flavors! I already cannot wait to go back! I attend pilates on Wednesday's, so they will def be seeing me again!
