This place is alright. There is never a line but it is always packed so that a good thing, there a a couple things wrong with this place in my opinion. First is that this place always smell, there is never enough ventilation in this place, I always find myself going to the patio for fresh air but there are always smokers, so you gotta take it with a grain of salt. The drinks are always strong which in my position that when I go to this place is a good thing, I dont come here expecting the best drinks but they are do-able. You cant buy one drink with your card though if you dont have cash, they only accept a certain minimum on each purchase in order to use a card, so bring cash to this place. All in all,when I go to Riverside I always go to this place. It is a great place to meet your friends and get the stiff drinks early on in the night, later at night it is a great place just dont expect the "5-star" experience. Will go again ! read more

My girlfriend and I are originally from Redlands area never have been out here before. This place was amazing though. security out front does a thorough job really makes the place feel safe. I'm writing this review to give a special thanks to the young lady that was charging the entrance fee Saturday night we didn't get her name she was Hispanic with glasses I believe.. she was very welcoming had a smile made small talk with each customer really made us feel like we mattered not feel like we we're just another drunk couple. My girlfriend had lost something very valuable and sentimental that night before getting there. she saw my girlfriend seemed upset and she took the initiative to ask her if she was ok she didn't have to do that she could have just charged us and said next but she didn't. Us telling her what happened in that short 2 min period she told her no matter what your going through just know that it's only temporary.. she told her she looked beautiful and to just enjoy ourselves she really cheered her up we drank danced and overall it ended up being a great night so again we want to thank her for her time, patience, and understanding we will definitely be returning soon.. read more

I went to Worthington's on a Saturday night and it was overall a pretty good experience. The bar and dance floor are separate rooms but the whole place is pretty small. Go to the door girl, she sends me to security. They tell me to wait and they never come back. Even asked all of them for a manager or a phone number how to contact the manager or owner. The cocktails are WAY overpriced but the beer pitcher prices are ok. I went for a burlesque show they had recently which was fantastic. Super cute dancers in fabulous costumes. They had a band that played that was pretty good too. Cover charge was only 5$ which was reasonable for watching both a band and several dancers. Probably one of the most boring places I've ever step foot in!!! This place calls itself a tavern but they only have like 5 beers on tap and no hard liquor!!! I went with some friends on a Thursday night because supposedly that's when its poppin!!! This place got crowded at around 11 which was cool because I was wasted by that time!!! The DJ was crappy, playing the same songs over and over (Gorillaz, Daft Punk, Justice). They do have two pool tables but they were taken all night long by some bros!!! This place is actually dangerous. The floor of this bar gets very slick once people start spilling drinks on it. My friend had to take her shoes off because her feet were sliding out from under her. And then I slipped and fell on my face. They know their floor is dangerous because their "security guard", who is just horrible human being, is always out mopping. Love this place! All the employees are so nice and always so helpful! And can't forget about DJ Beazie beats!!!! He is the coolest person and always has a smile on his face! He's so amazing and plays the best music of all the places in riverside! He knows what everyone likes and gets everyone in a great mood! I've gone here for a year and all good things to say! If anyone is being inappropriate the security protects you, the bartenders are always prepared and so sweet and the manager is running everything smoothly! Can't say enough good things! I have had 2 very bad experiences here. I don't recommend it at all. First time they overcharged my card $500 and the 2nd time they didn't want to let my friend in because he dropped his ID while we were waiting in line and they said he was wobbling to much to pick it up. I was visiting my brother in Riverside this past Friday and he mentioned he used to go into Worthington's probably about 10 years ago and always enjoyed it. Well apparently this place is under new management and definitely not the same. It's Friday night at 8 pm and there are only 3 customers in the whole place. That should have been a clue to what we were about to experience. You walk in at it's a fairly nice place and the bartender was very friendly. Then you order your drinks and your like WTF???? My brother and I enjoy craft beers and Worthington's has about 25 or so on tap. Well after looking 6-7 of them were tapped out so we picked from what was available. We order 2 beers and I give my debit card to pay and I am told there is $2 fee to use a debit or credit card, really? Fine whatever, the bartender brings the card and receipt back and the beers are $8 a piece, this is $1.50 more than any of the other surrounding bars. Again whatever, then we notice the bartender proceeds to give us our beers in clear plastic cups, are you kidding me???? The only reason to give a person a beer in a plastic cup is if your drinking out of a keg at a frat party, otherwise this is unacceptable for a bar. Then as we are looking around the only glassware they have is shot glasses and a few rocks glasses. This place is setup to fail IMO. I will not visit this place again as there are plenty other options just steps away that are way more enjoyable and cheaper. read more

Went to this place this last Saturday (January 15) with some friends who lived in the area. Not sure if I'll be coming back. It wasn't TOO bad. I think the beers were a tad overpriced (considering the plastic cups), but I can put up with that. And the bartenders were friendly and attentive. However, that only goes so far for me. For one, the bathrooms were a joke, and I've seen my fair share of bad dive-bar bathrooms. The men's bathroom door didn't even close. On top of that, there was a security guard with little-man syndrome who, after a verbal confrontation (not physical), jumped a customer from behind as he was walking away and had him thrown out. We talked to a few people, and the general consensus was the guy simply was drunk and talking a little shit... And apparently that was enough to justify grabbing him from behind, getting him in a wannabe MMA choke hold, and throwing him to the ground. If it were my bar, the guard would have been fired. I didn't have a bad time during my visit here, but I attribute that more to my friends being there than the bar itself. It's not a bad place, but it just rubbed me the wrong way. I don't see myself voluntarily returning anytime soon. read more

The worst bar in down town riverside. They don't allow hats of any kind. If you are wearing one you have to go back to your car and leave it in there. The bouncers at the front will even tell you how much they dont like the hat policy but they still have to enforce it. Its small and they have horrible DJs. What more can a girl ask for? They do rush everyone out right at 2am but whatever they wanna go home too. Afterwards, we "after partied" across the street. I went to Worthington's for a friends birthday. To start, when I went in, there was a $5 cover charge. I thought ok, no big deal, it's a Friday night, I will move through it. 30 minutes later, I decide to leave and didn't get a drink, but it is ok, I got to spend time with a friend. Come to close out y entrance fee (which by the way they held onto my card and my drivers License), the total comes to $7. Now, the money isn't an issue, but the fact that they put an additional $2 on top of the $5, which is a 40% increase, and not posted anywhere in the front area when I agreed to pay the $5, is just a little absurd. I asked the bartender to please speak with a manager, in which she called over a gentleman named Channing, who introduced himself to me as the manager. To start, Channing was very rude to start with. I tried to explain the situation and that the issue was not posted at the front area where people checked in to pay for the cover charge, and response was " well it is posted over here, so get over it." It seems a little hard to believe that some kind of notice is posted behind the bar after you have paid to come in when it affects you as a customer as you come in to pay. As I pointed this out to Channing, he got defensive and a little aggressive to me. I decided it was not worth the hassle speaking to him. As I left, I asked the girl at the front counter, with whom I checked in with and agreed to pay the $5 cover, on what the cover charge was. She said it was $5. She did not say anything at that time or when I checked in about there being a surcharge for using a card to pay, nor was there anything stated up front in the check in section about there being such a charge for using a card. As I was discussing the issue with her, the "manager" named Channing decided that he had to escort me out personally. The entire time I feel that he was unprofessional in is role, both with his first encounter we me and his second. I asked him for the contact information of his supervisor and he refused to give it to me both times. Again, I feel that this was unprofessional on his part and led to the negative experience of myself as a guest/ I hope that this can be remedied in a timely fashion as I do like to visit this establishment, but with the current structure, I do not feel comfortable taking friends and colleagues here if the same treatment that I experienced is the standard at Worthington's. read more

the pregnant bartender served me two 20 oz. beers that were 1/3 foam...i asked her if she could top me off and she said no really snotty then served others...i payed for the larger size and she totally jipped me by her lack lf basic bar skills...then to be rude on top of it pissed me off...the cherry on top is the WENCH is like 6 months pregnant with her belly all out and hair tied up in a ponytail like she could care less about her appearance...please save your customers from a bad experience at such a fun establishment by telling this girl her services are not up to par and her appearance is a negative reflection on the business. read more

This place is horrible! They have roaches, over flowing toilets, and it smells like vomit! I have been told by a former employee they don't even use clean towels or provide cleaning supplies! I was also told by another former employee they don't wash any dishes, so don't put your mouth on any glass and don't get a pitcher! yuck! The health department needs to investigate this! read more
