This performer markets shows for children and families, yet there are public posts circulating that show him engaging in adult-themed behavior with women that is not suitable for a young audience or aligned with a family-oriented image. My children actually brought this to my attention after coming across a public post, which made the situation even more upsetting. As a parent, I expect entertainers who work with kids to uphold a standard of professionalism both on and off the stage. When someone brands themselves as a children's entertainer, that responsibility doesn't stop when the show ends--especially when content is publicly accessible. Regardless of whether these acts happened during a performance or outside of one, the public nature of the behavior makes it inappropriate and uncomfortable for families who trusted this individual. I would not feel safe or confident having my children watch or attend a show by this magician, and I urge other parents to do their research before booking. We saw Wacko perform at Grandview Library last year and cheered when he agreed to perform for our 6 year old's masked, socially distanced, tiny birthday party. My husband was so impressed with how responsive Wacko was, and he showed up right on time. I think the other parents were expecting a kid-quality magic show, but Wacko blew everyone away. He's incredible with kids (you can tell he genuinely likes them), but he's also a Magic Castle-quality magician. The parents were as astounded as their kids. His show was the perfect length and had the kids howling with laughter inside their masks. It was exactly the "magical" experience we needed for these challenging times. If you can book him, DO IT! Our first event with him was some years back at the Brea Improv for an adult show which was amazing not only was he very comical but had a great magic show as well and since then he had us sold for additional events. Ramon is the best! I am so glad I booked him for my little girl 3rd birthday party. Besides being an easy going guy, his balloon twists and creations were just amazing. The first thing he made was an octopus.
