    The Cajun Omelet- was good

Came in at 9am on Easter Sunday 4/5/26 for a family of 4 and got seated immediately. Server Andrew was really nice and patience because it was my first time and I didn't know what I really wanted to eat. Drinks: Regular coffee - just typical Caramel macchiato- was good not overwhelming sweet Food: Cajun omelet with potatoes and sourdough- was good Stacked chicken and waffles- was good Regular French toast- was good Togo home - chicken fried steak with potatoes and toast- they forgot the gravy so the chicken tasted a bit dry. Overall, it was satisfying. Food was quick to come out. Price is reasonable as the portion is big. Would come back and try other things on the menu.

Came here for breakfast was seated quickly and order was taken promptly with our food coming out quick too our server was good and check up on us frequently and the food was good no complaints small easy and simple.

Probably one of the better 'basic breakfast/lunch' spots to check out. Nice they are a stand alone building instead of tucked in a strip mall. The decor is very Bayou themed which is fun and appealing. The menu has some 'bayou' centric food items to align with the theme. We were greeted by the manager (possibly owner) on an early Saturday morning. Got seated in about 10 mins or less. Our server, Gerardo, was super nice, and efficient. He made sure our elderly mom was paid attention to and well taken care of. This isn't BB diner, but you definitely get a lot of food depending on what you order. The chicken fried steak and eggs is served with TWO steaks (it's a half pound of chicken)... that's a huge amount! Fried okra is a rather large plate that will easily serve 4 people. Everyone was ok with their meals. Except actually me. I ordered the Monte Cristo and was thoroughly disappointed. It is not a classic MC, but actually just a grilled ham/turkey and cheese sandwich. I would avoid if you like MC's and know how they should be made.

I got the "Big Easy" Chicken Benedict. The sauce is questionable partially cause I'm not a somewhat bitter guy. It came with A biscuit with chicken eggs and the Benedict sauce. With a side of potatoes with green peppers and onions. Overall a good satisfactory meal :D

A friendly place with great selection of foods! Took away one star because of the doughy waffles. Read on for more details. So this is my second time at huckleberry's. We ordered crab cake Benedict and chicken and waffles. The crab cake is ok, tastes lukewarm store bought and maybe imitation crab. The chicken tenders are very crunchy outside. The Benedict comes with choice of red country potatoes (with lots of bell peppers and sautéed onions). Overall an above average Benedict, eggs are at right temperature, gooey inside. The tenders are very nicely seasoned, although the waffles are doughy, and I think couple more mins in the waffle maker would have been perfect. Last time I ordered catfish po boy, which was an overall above average dish, although they should cut the sandwiches in half, as the portion is huge (very American portion). The huckleberry lemonades are the best, a must have if you don't care of calories!!

Came here early during breakfast hours. Parking lot was full but we were able to be seated right away. Staff is very friendly. They were busy that morning but they kept a smile on their face each time. Their menu has many options. The food came out fresh and tasty. Typicsl breakfast items but they also offer items for those that arent big on breakfast. It wasn't my first time coming to this particular diner but it's definitely been consistent in the service that I get.

This was my first time at this restaurant. They were super friendly and very fast from the time I entered the restaurant, until I got my food it was less than 10 minutes. I couldn't believe it. I went with the Benedict scramble, which had two large pieces of ham under the sauce along with an English muffin. At the table next to me, a gentleman was celebrating his 90th birthday. All the servers made time to come by and wish him happy birthday. I think that says a lot about the service. I would definitely come back this location.

I forgot to take a picture of the main orders we got. But overall this location is by far the best location in Modesto in my opinion. It can be crowded on a weekend morning, but we got in no longer than a 8min wait. We ordered the chicken fried steak which I give 9/10 and my partner ordered the Mississippi which he gave 10/10. Great service, clean and everyone is so nice.

Ive been here many times before and have only ordered the chicken and waffles. This time I ordered the French toast and OMG, why have I never done this before? It's so delicious! The right amount of sweetness, toastiness, crunchiness, all in one bite! My husband was even pleasantly surprised... I recommend 9/10!

And again was told no. The granola does in fact have almond slivers in it luckily I am not so allergic I will die from it or need an epi pen I just usually break out in hives for a few hours and then I'm fine and typically it's more peanuts than other nuts anyway but working in a restaurant you really should be aware of what is in your foods that way someone doesn't have a bad reaction.

If you're planning a Saturday or Sunday visit you definitely want to make a reservation! Based off my first visit I would have give this place 4 stars. The drinks are delicious, the food is incredible with good portions, and everything of course looks great visually as well. The main con the first visit was that service was extremely slow and there was a drink ordered that was completely forgotten about, however they were clearly short staffed and when we did have service she was very apologetic and friendly and comped the beverage so we had no complaints. We went back this month for my birthday and while everything we did have was once again delicious, they were out of a decent portion of the menu. Off the top of my head they were out of all flavors of deviled eggs, pulled pork, tuna for the poke stack and poke bowl, risotto balls, some wines, and a couple other things I don't recall. The first couple times the waitress said something we wanted was out we didn't mind and pivoted, especially since she said those were the only items they were out of. However, it quickly became evident that was not the case. She said the reason was it was Sunday and they are only open Thursday-Sunday so they often run out of stock during the Sunday rush. Like I said earlier, the last time I was there on a Sunday there was no issue with items being unavailable, and I feel like if this is a recurring issue maybe that's something that should be looked at when ordering for the week? But I also am not in the restaurant business so who knows maybe this isn't that unusual. It was just a bummer to go for my birthday excited to try certain things, only to ultimately end up with a chicken Caesar salad (which was still good though!). There were still pros with this recent visit, again everything looked and tasted great and the service was friendly and much quicker than the previous visit. The mimosa flights are fun and there's a ton of flavors to choose from. We got a seasonal peach toast appetizer to share and it was so good. I look forward to coming back soon to give it another shot and will update once I do!

The restaurant is smaller than you expect it to be, but it is cozy, friendly, and not overly loud. We only had a 10 minute wait when we arrived and they were packed. Our waiter Kyle was on point, introduced himself and dropped the special of the day with gusto. If I hadn't already had a ton of carbs for the day I would have gone with it. Ended up ordering the scallops, and fried zucchini appetizers. Scallops are served almost like a soup. The sauce in the bowl was to die for. I'm thinking white wine, and lemon were the major components. It was phenomenal. Fried zucchini was super tasty and is coming home with us. I'd swear it was enough to feed 4 people. For mains, we ordered pot roast and fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. Wife loved the pasta and chicken. Surprisingly enough she ate it all, none to go which is super rare for her. Pot roast was fantastic. Mashed potatoes were on point, the mixed vegetables were amazing. Upon entering, I was greeted by a pleasant atmosphere and placed an order for three iced coffees, which I stated clearly. At that point, I overheard an employee respond in the background with an attitude, stating that I had ordered the drink hot. I fully understand that mistakes can happen--orders can be entered incorrectly, and errors are part of any service environment. However, my concern lies with the dismissive attitude and the decision to challenge the customer's request in front of them. This interaction left a poor impression, and as a result, I do not plan to return to this establishment. I will instead continue supporting my usual coffee shops.

The food was just your typical diner type, greasy spoon kind of place. I got an egg white omelette with ham (looked like cut up pieces of thin sliced deli meat) and asked that fresh potatoes be boiled in water or steamed in water due to food allergy. What I got was fried potatoes. When I questioned the server he just said that's how they come. Do they not have raw potatoes in the back they could have boiled for me?? The taste of the omelette was meh and I only ate 4 bites. I obviously didn't eat the potatoes. The English Muffin felt oily, like someone touched it with greasy hands. I had asked for it to be dry and with no butter. So basically I didn't eat any of my food and will not be back (this was my third time here and none of the other experiences were any better.) Such a shame because it is only 5-minutes from my house. My dad ordered the chicken fried steak and my mom got the taco salad and both of their meals were inedible too. The food here is just BAD. I told the server I didn't like my food and he didn't even answer me. He took away three plates of uneaten food and no one asked if there was an issue and no manager bothered to come over to even talk to us or try and make it right. What a HUGE waste of money. Don't bother eating here...so many other places to eat that are so much better. This place was packed and no real waiting area...everyone just squished together. This is a hustling and bustling place, so if you are looking for a quiet spot, at least don't go when we did. Best part of this place is their wall for taking pictures.
