It has been a bit, but when we decided to get married there was only one place to have our rehearsal dinner at. We called Tracy and told him our plans, for about 35 guests. Absolutely stellar. Tracy and the amazing staff went above and beyond to make it perfect. On other occasions such as before concerts, we call, walk in , and our table is always ready and we are never late to a show. First time here. Had heard in the past that it wasn't the most imaginative menu but that's definitely changed. Chef is obviously on his game here. Fried Green Tomatoes that were in little balls instead of traditional look. Makes a very sharable app with a tasty tomato rosemary sauce accompanying. Also tried the lobster kimchi spring rolls. Perfect amount of spice with the goujegang BBQ sauce. Pistachio crusted grouper was spot on. Not a huge fish guy but this was fabulous. Also shared the burrata app with my party during dinner course. Could not be happier. The menu is easily an attraction that matches the views high atop Chattanooga. Could not recommend it more. read more

I don't live in town, but I have been a few times with my sister. It is always low key & the views of the city are stunning! The food may be the best in the city & the staff are lovely people. Not sure if "manager" is the right term, but Tracey was extremely helpful and accommodating! Last time I was there I had the steak salad & WOW! The salad was great with lots of different veggies, but the steak was amazing! There was so much steak & cooked to perfection. Meet with four friends for dinner here on a Thursday night. We were delighted with the views of Chattanooga and ambiance of the restaurant. The service was great. We never had to ask for anything as the waiter was very attentive and helpful but not intrusive. The food was excellent with surprisingly large quantities of food from the appetizer to the entree. The menu ranged from Swordfish to Kangaroo and Filet to Bison. Excellent restaurant all around. Highly recommend ! read more

The Walden club is an amazing place to dine. I can sum it up in 2 words. Chef Nick. Nick should be running a Michelin Star restaurant. His food is creative and tasty. An example was shown at an event we attended last evening. He did a tasting menu and paired with Bourbon Japanese Whisky and Rye. It consisted of Steak Tartare, Rabbit Stew, Pork Belly and a "oops I Dropped the Apple Pie". Everything was cooked to perfection. My wife was scared to eat the Rabbit but was surprised at how much she loved it. The stock on that stew was so flavorful and complex. I'm always excited to see what Chef Nick will do next. The manager Tracy was off last night but he is another reason why the Walden club is so great. His attention to detail and friendly attitude makes people feel welcome. read more

These jive turkeys removed the French onion soup from the menu recently, however, today they made me a bowl special and it was better than ever. I appreciate the special treatment. It is the best french onion soup in town and should never be removed from the menu! read more

We came here for one of their Saturday brunches. There was a deal on bottomless mimosas for $8 which drew us in. Mimosas were 90% orange juice, 10% champagne. Took an hour to get our food. My friend asked for a modification on her food and it was not made. We would have sent it back, but it took so long to get it the first time that we just sat with it. Waitress didn't seem to care when we brought it up to her. Checks were mixed up multiple times. Food was good but we won't be coming again. read more

We had the opportunity to go with friends. We sat in the bar dining room and the fireplace was so cozy! We all had steak - 3 filets and I had the ribeye. All were delicious, perfectly cooked and the sides were tasty as well. We decided to have our son & his fiancé's rehearsal dinner there and are pleased with the planning process. Attended a meeting tonight and what a disappointing experience in the food department Only 1 type of white wine. When I asked for I wanted I was told to go the main bar Really - what happened to customer service Buffet - salad good , steak tough and broccoli casserole without any taste. I enjoyed my first experience here. I'm used to going to a different club nearby so it was fun to mix it up a little. The views are great up here. Depending on where you sit you can see the city or mountain or ridge. Very cool. We were there for taco Tuesday I think. The problem with the buffet was that the food wasn't laid out in the right order so there ended up being a long line because people had to go back and forth in the buffet to build their tacos. Had my brother's rehearsal dinner in the ballroom here. The view from the top floor was fabulous... Chattanooga, and the mountains behind it spread out below. The staff was super friendly and totally put up with all our insanities like asking them to re-roll the napkins so we could put little ribbons around them, and trying to help us track down a working projector after ours failed the test run. We had been in a smaller room, but the bigger room opened up, so they automatically moved us into it. The food was delicious, the atmosphere beautiful, yet relaxed... it really helped make a special night that much more special. read more

I was recently at the Walden Club for a dinner meeting. It was probably the worst bar service I have ever experienced! When I asked for a wine list they looked at me like I had three heads. I then asked for a certain type of wine. The bartender, Melissa, never gave me a choice of what I wanted, she just poured the wine she picked for me. When I asked a question about the wine, she became VERY aggressive with me. She leaned her body over the bar and then started berating me with questions. (The two women at the bar stopped eating and looked at her in shock!) It immediately put me on the defense, which she could tell by my body language, and I got quiet. She then ran my card and came back to me in a different tone, realizing she had over stepped herself. I was a guest at the Walden Club so I did not complain to a manager but I will make sure to tell all my friends and family not to waste their time and money on this establishment. Oh, and the food, it was mediocre at best. (I have had two mediocre dinners at here in the last year) It's sad to see that this once highly regarded, up scale club has spiraled downhill so quickly. read more

Went there for dinner with three friends. The service was awful for a place of this alleged caliber. It took forever to get drinks, the food service was slow, the wrong accompaniments were brought, and the manager did not seem to understand the concept of customer satisfaction. We ultimately had to chase down the server just to pay at the end. She was sitting in the empty, closed formal dining room chatting to colleagues. The food was excellent, but the service was so hit and miss that I doubt I will return. read more

I really enjoy seeing the view of the city while eating at the Walden Club. It's a special feeling knowing you're at the highest floor in the city. The lunch buffets are delicious and change daily to a different type of food. They also have large event rooms which may come in handy one day. read more

We held our grandmothers 100th birthday celebration here in the ballroom. The Walden Club did an amazing job on the food, setup, and their service was great! I have already planned a couple more events here for this year and next year! read more
