I had a veggie omelette the onions and peppers were not cooked at all and that was the majority of filling. Checked this place out on our trip in Bend while looking for a good breakfast spot since it was recommended quite a bit. It was just okay! It was well needed after a night out, a little greasy spoon will always cure a gnarly hangover. But all in all, the food was not that great, pretty average and quite expensive for what it is. If I could give a -5 I would. I am a caregiver. One of my clients loves this place. I have tried breakfast and lunch (twice each) and was very disappointed. The food is bland with no flavor and way over priced. Therefore I choose to not eat while I accompany her. Last time I decided to have a cup of coffee while she ate even though coffee is also overpriced. Nonetheless, when our waitress (Laurie) brought the ticket, she said, "Here you go big spender." I found her comment rude and did not appreciate it at all. Most places don't charge caregivers for coffee if they are with a client. Yet I felt absconded for only purchasing (over priced) coffee. Man! The fact that yelp left this place off their brunch list today is inexcusable! Laurie's is a gem of a place though it's too bad they are only open until 2pm. If you go, you'll find pretty standard breakfast fare, but what really sets this place apart is their French toast which isn't your standard! I ordered the hollandaise omelet and it was very good. The omelet toast and hash browns more than I could finish. I have to be honest, the service, while friendly, was far short of normal. Even though I was seated at 6, it was 6:12 before someone took my order, and 6:33 before my food was delivered. It was 6:53 before I finished paying and left. Visiting bend for the first time and came across this restaurant for breakfast. This is 10/10 and shoutout to our waitress Ally she was amazing. We've been coming to Laurie's since they opened their location on 3rd street and never had a bad experience until yesterday, 6/17/23. We were seated immediately but it took 20 minutes for our waitress to finally come by and the first thing she asked was if we were ready to order, didn't even get a drink order in first. We had no silverware and had to ask another waitress for some just so we could stir the sugar in our coffee. Other patrons in this section, some who were there before we were seated were also waiting long periods of time for the waitress to come by. At some point while bringing food to one of her other tables, the waitress said they had her covering the bar as well as the dining room which was why she was spread so thin, but to me that's unacceptable. If you don't have the staff to man the bar and waitress at the same time then maybe don't open the bar. I have never been so disappointed in the service I received here. We weren't even offered coffee refills until we were given the check and getting ready to leave, and this was an entire hour after we had sat down. read more
