I love this strip of restaurants in East Nashville. Parking can be a little tough, but I've parked in the large lot behind the church next door when I've gone. There are 6 bays that consist of different restaurants that are all fantastic. We love living so close to The Wash! [[HIGHLIGHT]]This no-frills, outdoor food hall (of sorts) is the perfect place to grab a bite when you want something quick.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There are currently five food stalls, and we've tried all but one of them. If you're eating with a large group, there's something for every palette. Sweeza is our go-to for takeout ... their quesadillas are legendary. We also love the empanadas and "Polla a la Plancha" plate from Soy Cubano. ESP has tasty pho that's perfect for a cold winter's day, and SS Gai has fun Thai street food options like Mango Fried Sticky Rice. We have yet to try Leche de Tigre, but it's next on our list!! Wow loving next to the wash means we're there way too often! I can't count the amount of times my family walks over for lunch or dinner! So far we've tried every single restaurant within The Wash. what we love about it is that there are SO many food options, and something for everyone. We love grabbing a bowl of Pho on a chili day. If you want a smaller portion, the child's size or just a cup of their broth is available for purchase. So far this location has our favorite Pho in Nashville. The Spring rolls are also HUGEEEEE and totally worth it. Boba wasn't my favorite tho. We also love the Quesadilla place next door. I usually only like cheese, but their Carne Asada is WOW. I also absolutely love their burgers that they serve! Fries seem a little overpriced for $5, but honestly it's still good. My husband is obsessed with the Thai and Cuban Restaurant towards the end. I haven't tried them yet so I can't speak to it, but that's all the eats there. The Thai place has a dish called it's grilled or fried chicken, rice and veggies. The portion is massive and he can split the meal into two. Overall, Amazon place to go eat. They have indoor bathrooms available, and a shared outdoor seating area. You can sit anywhere you want! You can bring your dog and just hand out. The fireplace is also cozy and ambience is nice. You can grab water towards the entrance if you want. There is a small parking lot, however you can just park on the side street if you want. Service is also nice and everyone has been really kind. Worth it! read more

This is a great concept and I love to vibe with family and friends. They've attracted some top-notch tenants for al fresco dining and takeout. There's a variety of seating options and, in warmer months there is often live music. Parking is a little bit of a hike, though I recognize that the small land footprint helps enable the indicator concept. If there were propane heaters and/or more shaded areas, I'd rate it five stars. This place is so convenient. You can never go wrong with any of the restaurants that make up "The Wash." On the days it's not so humid you can enjoy an outdoor lunch date here. At whichever restaurant you choose they'll give you a number and come find you when it's ready. When I usually go there is hardly anybody there. Which makes it easier to get in and out. The parking sucks! If you're lucky to get one of the spots right in the front, take it!! Food is always hot and fresh. If you're in the area try this place out. Leche de Tigre is my favorite eatery here. I highly recommend the chicken or beef rice entree. It reminds you of a hibachi style meal, but better! read more

This was our first spot for food with our family once we all arrived. It was great. It has options for 7 different options of kinds of foods. We all chose the same ethnicity but unfortunately I can't remember which one. It was 11 days ago. The service was great. The woman that took our order came out and gave us a heads up as far as how much time we had left to wait. Very generous portions. Let me start off with saying I love The Wash!! So if you're unsure if you should check this place out and want to read a review that is pro The Wash, read on. Reasons I love The Wash: 1: personally, I'm able to walk here. This won't be the case for everyone, but I feel you can find street parking or potentially park across the street. 2. It's affordable. You can get a full meal and have leftovers for under $20. 3. Options. You may be in the mood for pho, but your friend wants a quesadilla. No problem at all The Wash is home to a few restaurants and you can order from various ones. For instance, I've ordered Ceviche from the Peruvian place, my friend ordered loaded fries from the quesadilla place, and another friend went back to get the fried chicken from S.S. Gai. 4. Seating. You can choose to sit outside or sit inside at Bay 6 for drinks. The restaurants will all bring your food to you wherever you sit, which is really nice. 5. Food and drink quality. Every food item I've had has been delicious. The broth in the pho is so flavorful and hearty. The fried chicken from S. S. Gai is perfect. It is crunchy, but not tough. It's flavorful and you just want to eat more. The ceviche from Leche de Tigre (Peruvian place) is so fresh tasting and flavorful. I love the sweet potatoes in the ceviche. It is a great portion for one person. Now the drinks. If you stop by Bay 6, they'll make you a delicious cocktail or glass of wine or beer. They have a variety of liquors and make cocktails that are fun and creative. I've had one drink that has Coca Cola and fernet's in it. The bartenders are friendly and it's a good, chill vibe. Bay 6 does have happy hours so be sure to look that up beforehand because I can't remember the hours. For me this place feels like an adult mall food court but elevated, and I'm a big fan. read more

This review is based on the Wash facility itself and nothing specific about the food vendors here. There's a decent variety of vendors here so there's something for everyone. The parking situation is super inconvenient. I'm not sure if it's allowed to park in parking lot behind the church, but I assume that's where most people park if there's no street parking available. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The seating area is stupidly disgusting. Tables are never wiped down and customers don't even try to clean up the tables after they're done.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So bring table wipes if you plan to eat here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The seating section is also on top of loose gravel that will dirty up your shoes and feet. I don't recommend wearing open-toed footwear here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The worst thing about the Wash is the disgusting fruit flies flying around while people eat because of the exposed trash cans.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I have no idea why they haven't switched to trash cans with covers yet, but that's where all the flies are breeding. It also doesn't help with the fact that you'll be greeted with the dumpster by the entrance. There are bathrooms that easily accessible, which is nice. Finally was able to stop on a Sunday and it was limited options. I decided to try 2 Peruvian chefs and oh man they did not disappoint! I started with the ceviche. I'm currently am attempting to make it at home but not as good lol. Next I tried Inkas Brasa tacos. They were good, I love la brasa and make it quiet often. We went to The Wash on a Thursday evening last week to visit Two Peruvian Chefs. Walking past the other storefronts, it was great to see a myriad of different offerings, from poke (albeit closed from being soldout by dinner) to tacos, pho, and a Cuban-style cafecito. Bay 6 also seems to be a well-frequented bar on the side. I'm elated that Two Peruvian Chefs has a permanent location, and the service was impeccable. From the kind server at the front to the chef who brought us extra salsa later, the whole ordering process felt pretty wholesome...something I often miss in the throes of new Nashville culture. I ordered a pork belly sandwich, and let me tell you...it was the absolute perfect balance of crunchy, savory, and creamy. Paired with their house salsa: culinary perfection has neither looked nor tasted so good. It was a pretty simple sandwich, but when done well, simple is delightful. My partner had one of the ceviche offerings, and as someone who was rather new to ceviche, he devoured the entire portion in one sitting, plus the calamari on the side. If you're looking for no muss, no fuss dining in East Nashville, I would definitely try The Wash. Parking can be hit or miss, as the church nearby has permit-only spaces in its lot. Street parking is limited, so I highly recommend going on a less busy weekday rather than a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Their outdoor seating is modern, beautiful, and varied: you can fit larger parties at their dining tables or find a cafe-style seat for pairs or trios. There's even an outdoor fireplace. We went to the Grand Ole Opry and looked for "open late"restaurants, The Wash website says open until midnight, 5 vendors and a bar....... Bar closed, sign on the window indicating it simply isn't a thing any more. The only thing open a 10pm was the Mexican kiosk, very disappointing to say the least we arrived with the options on mind. Unfortunately the food from the only open kiosk was mediocre. Had the 3 dip special with chips. Grainy cheese dip. Bland guacamole,mushed Avocado with boring brown salsa on top. The tomatillo dip was good. I liked the beandip as well, nothing special but tasty. We had 2 quesadillas, and they were passable but overall lacking seasoning. read more

If you are a food truck, I understand selling water bottles. However, the Wash is a hybrid where all the restaurants share the responsibility of filling up the water jugs outside, which never gets done. Therefore, you are left with the option of shaking the jug for the last drop of warm tap water or going back to the stand and buying a $5 bottle of water. No thanks and food is average. read more

Tootsie Lous tacos - fire. East side pho- fire. Lastly- bay 6 - great little cocktail bar- See Beau. Seating- some covered spots, but mostly open- it can get hot. Parking can be garbage sometimes with the spots attached to the bays only being 15 minute pickup. The side neighbors won't let you park on the street (rightfully so) and the church next door can pack up the streets surrounding the area. read more

Great new concept where they took an abandoned car wash and turned the bays into five ethnic restaurants and one bar. We went for lunch during the Grand Opening, it appears it will be a welcome addition to the neighborhood judging by the crowd. There was Peruvian, Cuban, Poki, Tacos and Phó restaurants in car wash bays one through five along with a bar in car wash bay six called... wait for it... Bay 6! It was jamming on the large patio with live music and there's a fireplace for cooler days and nights. A covered patio at one end and plenty of open seating along with a few barstools for dining on sight. Some of the small restaurants had a few places to sit inside and a few had walk up windows for ordering. There were a few parking spaces, maybe three or four, otherwise parking on the side streets. I was happy to see a vegan or vegetarian item on each menu. We all three had the vegan picadillo from Soy Cubano and really enjoyed it, served with baked yucca, black beans and rice and fried plantains.
